Widgets on the web

It’s official – the Widgets have made their way into the digital age, with an all-singing, all-dancing website. And before you ask, we’re not talking about apps for Android smartphones, or that nifty beer-can gadget Jack Dee was always on about…

We’re talking, of course, about the First Choice Widgets – the children’s characters named after those tip-of-the-tongue moments when you just can’t find the words. There’s Gizmo, Doobley and Whatsit, and they all hail from sunny Whatchamacallit. And fresh from appearances at First Choice Holiday Villages, they’ve now made their way onto the web.

Log on to the First Choice Widget World website and you can buy cuddly toys and CDs, print masks and pictures to colour in, and sign up to the Widget World newsletter so little ones can stay in touch when they’re home. Plus, there are a couple of puzzles to have a go at. Strictly speaking they’re for kids, although they’re also pretty handy for rainy lunch breaks…
