When it comes to creating the stars of tomorrow, there’s a lot to be said for starting ‘em young, says Sharon Greaves. On our holidays, little ones can indulge in their favourite hobbies, and perhaps unleash a hidden talent or two…
Have you got the next…
Becks’ boyhood dream was to play for Manchester United. By the age of 11, he’d signed up to a football academy and, well, the rest is history. It doesn’t matter whether your child’s a promising midfielder or just likes to hoof the ball around, Football Academy at our Holiday Villages is a great way for boys and girls to improve their technical skills and make new friends to boot. And who knows, that dodgy left-footer may yet grow into the number 7 shirt.
STAY at Holiday Village Kos. It’s new on our books this summer, and counts three pools and an Arial Adventure course among its goods.
Woman of the moment, Lady Gaga earned her stripes at drama school and in open mic sessions. Wannabe popstars and closet divas can follow her lead at Stage Academy, held at our Holiday Villages. Workshops specialise in dance, drama and singing, and the grand finale sees kids take to the stage for a live performance big enough to prepare them for any future X Factor auditions.
STAY at the new Holiday Village Majorca. In between rehearsals, kids can get to grips with out-of-the-ordinary activities like Waterwalkerz, and cool off in the splash area.
Letting the kids loose with the felt tips is a lot more appealing when it’s not your newly-painted walls they’re scribbling all over. At Arty Adventure at our Holiday Villages, 3 to 11-year-olds are encouraged to get their creative juices flowing by painting their favourite cartoon characters.
STAY at Holiday Village Menorca. It has designated activity areas for kids (and quiet areas for mum and dad), so your little ones can let loose.
Do your little ones have a particular talent?
