Thomson Airways gives you the chance to name its first 787 Dreamliner – #nameourplane
Here at Thomson we are incredibly excited about the delivery of our brand new 787 Dreamliners next year. To help share this enthusiasm we’ve decided to let you choose what the first Dreamliner will be named via Twitter using the #nameourplane.
You can name it after yourself, your partner, your child or relative or you can think up an original name you think is cool – you just need to give us a good reason why it should be you that gets to name our plane.
To let the whole world know about our competition we’ve added #nameourplane onto the side of one of our 737 aircrafts, so keep your eyes peeled for that plane as it’s going to be flying to and from your favourite holiday destinations all summer.
All entries to the competition need to be made on Twitter, and those that spot the plane should enter by tweeting an image or the location of where they spotted our hashtag along with their reasons why they should get to name the new 787 Dreamliner. Those who don’t get a glimpse of the hashtagged 737 can still tweet their suggested name.
Entrants will need to have a think about what they say as they’ll have just 140 characters (including the hashtag) to make their case. Remember those that include any original twitpics of the tagged plane will be given special consideration, so keep your eyes peeled!
The competition runs from 23 July – 30 September, so there’ll be plenty of opportunities to spot the plane and think of why you should be the person to name it. We’ll pick out our top ten entries and then our panel of judges including: Chris Browne, Managing Director of Thomson Airways, Captain Stuart Gruber, Thomson Airways’s Head of Training and the 787 test pilot and Todd Nelp, Vice President of Sales for Europe for Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
Not only will the winner get their chosen name on the side of our first 787 Dreamliner there’ll also get the chance to unveil the name and fly on one of the plane’s first flights.
Keep up to date on the developments of the competition on our Twitter feed @firstchoiceholidays
