  • Did you know Tenerife is considered the star of the Canary Islands? It’s not difficult to see why, either. Holidays here will have you stargazing at Mount Teide National Park, shooting down slides at the largest waterpark in Europe, or tackling crater-like landscapes by foot…

And that’s not all, either. Tenerife packs a punch when it comes to glitz and glamour, too. You can expect lively nightclubs, architect-designed beaches and gorgeous, flower-filled settings. So if you’re planning to visit the coolest Canary Island, we’re here to tell you about what to do while you’re there. Whether you’re looking for lively evenings, luxurious beaches, or family-friendly getaways, Tenerife ticks all the boxes.

    Hike Mount Teide National Park

Are you a nature lover? If there’s one place you have cross off the list when visiting Tenerife, it’s Mount Teide National Park. This jaw-dropping national park is the largest in the Canary Islands, taking in hardened lava, oddly-shaped craters, mountain views and strange-looking plant life. It’s also been voted the best place to stargaze, thanks to clear skies, clean air and high altitudes. This national park is surprisingly romantic, too. Couples can sign up to Teide By Night, where you’ll get to watch the bright-orange sun sink, star gaze tonnes of constellations, topping it all off with a bottle of bubbly. And did we mention you’ll get to do it all 7,000 feet above ground?

Kick back and relax in Costa Adeje

Costa Adeje is the ideal choice for relaxing getaways. Did you know A-list celebrities, like the Beckham’s, are calling it one of their favourite destinations? It’s no wonder, either, with Blue Flag beaches like Playa de Fanabe and Playa del Duque, designer-labelled shops, and beachfront restaurants all under one roof. In fact, this place is so popular that it also features in Paddy Mcguinness’ popular ITV show Take Me Out

Tackle the slides at Siam Park

Siam Park is the biggest waterpark in Europe – and we think it should top your list of things to do while holidaying in Tenerife. There are over 30 attractions here, including twisting slides, lazy rivers, adrenaline-inducing fishbowls and much more. And when you need a breather from all the excitement, relax on Siam Beach, go for a shopping spree at the Floating Market, or watch the cheeky sealions splash around.

The Villa Mandi is the ideal choice for family-friendly getaways. The hotel is set up like a village, and you’ll have free access to Siam Park itself as of May 2017…

Party in Playa De Las Americas

Looking for a clubbing holiday with a difference? Playa De Las Americas is the cream of the crop when it comes to fun-filled nights out. Venture out to Veronica’s strip, the Starco Centre and the Patch, where there’s a list of venues that’ll leave you spoiled for choice. Evenings here are all about cocktails, karaoke bars and nightclubs. And if you fancy something more chilled out, there are plenty of candlelit restaurants where you can sip local beer.

The Hotel Catalonia Oro Negro is a great place to stay if you’re in search of a party – this place puts you less than five minutes’ walk from the nearest bars and clubs. We’ll cheers to that…

Don’t forget whale watching at Tenerife too. It is so amazing. You can bring your family and I am sure children will love it. And don’t forget in mind, the Canary Kitchen. You will surely love their foods.
