In the frozen landscapes of Lapland, where temperatures can drop below -20c, keeping warm is essential. First Choice provide everything you need, free of charge, to keep snug and cosy in the snow, with a one-piece thermal suit, thermal boots, thick socks, gloves, mittens, a scarf, a balaclava and a hat available to all guests while on their Lapland holiday. When dressing in the morning, remember to wear plenty of layers, rather than one thick item, apply oil-based moisturiser and lip balm to stop your skin drying out and pack spare clothes, in case you get wet playing in the snow!
Please note: guests with special size requirements for boots or clothing must inform us by calling 0871 200 4455 at the time of booking. We recommend that you do not take children under 4 years old to Lapland due to the Arctic climate: also we are unable to provide specialist thermal clothing for children under 2.
At First Choice, we will always do our best to ensure our holidays are suitable for customers with disabilities or special needs. If you think a member of your party has restricted mobility and may need assistance once in resort, please contact our Special Needs team to ensure we have prior notice of your party’s arrival and can provide help where necessary. Although stunning to see, the snowy environment can be a difficult place for those needing extra help to get around. Every person’s disability is different and, to ensure we can provide the right holiday, it is essential that you or your Holiday Advisor call our Special Needs line before you book. Our advisers will be able to discuss your particular need, make a suitable recommendation and ensure our resort team will be expecting you when you arrive.
A trip to Lapland is an adventure in itself, but you can up the excitement even more with these fun-filled optional excursions. To book, speak to your travel agent, call on 0871 200 4455 or ask your First Choice Rep in resort.
Get set for an exhilarating ride through the Arctic landscape on a sleigh pulled by husky dogs.

Not many people get to experience a Santa-style sleigh ride past frozen lakes and snow-filled scenery, so don’t miss this one. You’ll also visit the reindeer farm where you’ll warm up around an open fire with a hot berry juice and Lappish snack and learn all about reindeer herding. Plus, you’ll get your very own reindeer driving licence.
Families will love this fun-filled day with Santa’s helpers in the heart of a magical forest.
Join Santa’s elves for some non-stop Christmas fun where you’ll be making decorations for the tree and festive cookies. Then it’s outside for snowball games, mini-skidoos and the snow slide. You can even give snow shoe walking and cross country skiing a go. Afterwards, snuggle up indoors with a hearty Lappish lunch. And before you go, the children will receive certificates signed by Santa. Please note - this excursion is only bookable in resort.
