Take in the archaeological museum on a trip to Polygyros, Halkidiki's capital.

Boasting 500km of coastline, Halkidiki has some wonderful beaches offering golden sand and aquamarine water. Along the Kassandra peninsula, Hanioti is highly recommended. On the Sithonian peninsula, Kalogria and Lagomandra are good for beach lovers and Kalamitsi is a hidden treasure, secluded and sandy.
