Can I carry larger items on board?

If you have larger items that you need to travel with, such as your skis, snowboard, diving equipment or musical instrument, please call us before you fly. We’ll attempt to secure carriage, but will need to check for available space.

How much will I pay?

Carriage of larger items may be subject to an added charge (except wheelchairs and infant pushchairs). Please check to see if your item is listed below and contact Customer Support on 0871 664 0144 (Calls cost 10p per minute plus network extras) at least four days in advance to book.

Bikes
A charge will apply, and we recommend taking out separate insurance. Also, you will need to make sure your bike is suitably packed for travel. That means deflating the tyres, removing the front wheel and turning the handlebars inline with the frame. We also highly recommend the use of a bike box or travel bag to minimise the risk of damage in transit.

Windsurfers
A charge will apply.

Golf clubs
A charge will apply. Your golf clubs must be suitably packed.

Skis and snowboards
A charge is levied by your tour operator.

Hangliders
A charge will apply. Your hanglider must be suitably packed. Maximum length for a hanglider is 12ft.

Canoes
A charge will apply. Maximum length for a canoe is 12ft and it must be suitably packed.

Diving equipment
5kg of diving equipment can be carried free of charge, provided you have an appropriate diving licence. Scuba tanks must be emptied to 15PSI. Items over 5kg will incur an excess baggage charge.

Carpet bowls
If you are carrying carpet bowls, they will form part of your baggage allowance. Charges will apply if your baggage exceeds the allowable limit.

Wheelchairs
Wheelchairs are carried free of charge and not be included in your baggage allowance. They must be carried in the hold and collected in baggage reclaim. Please make sure your wheelchair is adequately insured before travelling.

All of our B757 and B767 aircrafts have aisle wheelchairs for your use, and help getting on and off the aircraft is available at most destinations. How can I get my items from the airport to the resort?

Please note that we cannot transfer windsurfers, surfboards, bicycles or other unconventional items from the airport to your accommodation. Please make your own arrangements for these items.

Alternatively, you can call our Reservations Department on 0871 200 7799 (Calls cost 10p per minute plus network extras) at least two weeks prior to departure to see if your particular item can be accepted on the transfer coach.
