Great weeks hikiday

Just returned from a week staying in Jupiter excellent holiday for families plenty for kids to keep them amused. The staff are great particularly manuel the barman who always had a smile on his face and remembered who you were and what your drink preference was....excellent service from him :) A trip to the beach is a must as it is beautiful and the water is amazing there is an inflatable island for kids and adults which our kids had great fun on. The food was good with plenty of choice for everyone and themed nights which were good. Entertainment was good with some nights being excellent. I have read some reviews about too much noise I never found this to be the case we were usually back in our room between 11-12 and had no complaints at all about noise. All in all we had a great time and I would definitely go back (especially if we got the weather we had)More

Big family holiday

My daughter had this great idea that the whole family should go away together, this was the hotel she choose, all my family, that's myself, my partner, my 4 children, their partners and my 6 grandchildren. If I was just my partner and I this would not be our choice of hotel, we are of an age now where we like peace, quiet and in the middle of nowhere type places, however it was for the family. The hotel was clean and tidy, however I found the complex to be too crowded for my tastes and yet perfect for a younger family with children. The good points were the drinks were of a high standard and the food was surprisingly good with plenty of choice and all tastes catered for, I enjoyed the "theme" evening meals getting a chance to sample cuisine from all over the world, considering the hotels cater for around 800 families at a time the quality of the food was a very nice and tasty surprise, the staff were friendly and helpful, always with a smile no matter how stupid my questions must have seemed to them. The room was adequate for the price, it was serviced daily and overall in a very clean condition. The rooms however are fine for just sleeping the night away in but not much good for anything else really, but I guess on an all inclusive resort you don't want to spend lots of time in the rooms. The pools were clean well maintained and supervised very effectively by lifeguards. The entertainment was again adequate for the price paid with several choices available each evening and catered for a wide spectrum of tastes, the dining areas were clean well staffed and as above the food I found of a much higher quality than I expected. The downsides are the noise, we stayed in the Saturno and during he day if we had the balcony doors open the "thump thump thump" of the very loud disco music from the hidropark meant having a siesta during the day was almost impossible, however this did cease at 17:00 only to be replaced by the constant and quite loud hum of the outside air conditioning plant, this meant day or night to sleep we had to shut the balcony doors which is a shame because in the med I like sleeping with the doors open and feeling the fresh air. The corridors are floored with tiles which makes them very echo'y and even if people returning to their rooms late were trying to be quiet the corridors amplified the noise they made. In our room we only had one working plug socket which meant we couldn't use the laptop and watch the TV at the same time, there were 3 sockets in the room, but only 1 worked. All over the hotel there are notices asking parents to supervise their children in the meal areas, sadly the staff do not seem to enforce this and quite often young children were allowed to get their own food and sadly they were untidy and unhygienic in doing this quite often poking and pawing food before replacing it back on the serving trays this meant I would have to watch carefully what children were doing to the food before I selected mine, again because parents were not supervising their children they would get massive portions of food and quite often just waste most of it, that I found to be a bit tragic and I blame the parents for this but wished the hotel staff would have perhaps insisted that children were supervised during the getting of food. By far my biggest gripe was the lack of "tourist" information around the hotel, I hired a car and could find nothing about the Island in the hotel except for the organised excursions which of course were extremely expensive compared to making your own way around, for instance the "Orange blossom trail" was 70 Euros per adult, we did the same trip ourselves for just 40 euros and that was in total for 3 of us so getting information about doing our own thing was extremely difficult yet if we inquired about an organised trip they fell over themselves to help us. Lastly we left the hotel at 07:25 for our return journey, there were no facilities for eating before we left, no early breakfast or even a selection of nibbles to choose from, if you wanted something to eat from 00:00-08:00 you only had a few very expensive vending machine with a very limited selection to choose from. Overall I enjoyed my stay and accepted that it was a family hotel catering for families with children that seem to thrive on noise.More

Great Holiday, Great PLace

We have just returned from a two week break. We went with our 2 kids aged 13 and 7. We stayed in the Jupiter hotel, it was clean well kept and the staff were lovely. The food choice was good for all, my 7 year old daughter can be fussy but she always found something to eat. Bar staff were fantastic always great banter with them. A lot of the bad reviews refer to the other guests, i have to agree to a point butthey are not the hotels fault. Don't let them pull a great holiday down, we are already looking at going back next year. This place is a mustMore

fraser k,

Excellent holiday for families

Just returned 20/10 from an amazing week, facilities, staff, entertainment and rooms are excellent value for money. Plenty in complex to do as well as venturing out to experience the city, culture and scenery. Lots on offer and of course weather really helps.More
