Will definitely be going again

My boyfriend and I visited club Mac from 12-19 October 2014. We found the swimming pools very spacious and clean.we never struggled to get a subbed however we would not visit this complex in high season as we think it would be slightly crowded. Our room was lovely with a balcony which fitted 2 chairs and a table on which served its purpose for drying towels Etc. We couldn't fault the food at all each night was different with foods to suit all ages , the entertainment for children was good however for adults we didn't find that clever purely because adult entertainment didn't start until 9 so we found ourselves trying to find things to do to fill in time. Staff were very friendly and our room was always cleaned. We did not visit the watermark as you have to pay for everything in there. Overall a cheap, enjoyable holidayMore

Excellent all round holiday

Went to Club Mac with my wife on a late deal in august after moving house, this was an excellent value for money holiday and has something for everyone, the room was clean the food was good the staff were very friendly and helpful and you've got the added bonus of the use of the waterpark next door, this is the third time we've been to club mac and it never disappoints !More

Family holiday in October

right, this is an honest review of Club Mac. We travelled as a family of 3, 2 adults and a 5 year old, we paid and upgraded before hand to a premium room with TV, kettle and wifi. To be honest the room for us was very small, but in fairness we are used to having an apartment when we go on holiday, We was very unhappy that the balcony only fitted 2 people and was really small, but if you have an end room the balcony looked bigger. Food We was AI, and we would go for breakfast at 8.00am and dinner at 6.00pm we didnt bother with lunch as this was just too much, but if you are hungry there is the lakeside burger bar and there is ham and cheese and salad out if you want a sandwich. We enjoyed the spanish night, and the american night, but the food tends to be more aimed at UK type food, which for us, we like to try different dishes. The main complaint for us was at meal times, some familys thought it was ok for there children to help themself to the food, and i must point out when you walk in there are hand sanitizers for everyone to use walking in. some people do some dont. The familys that allowed there children to help there self would pick up food with there hands and then put it back down and poke and prod food sometimes just for the fun, i witnessed a child getting them-self a drink of coke, to fill the drink to the top to then walk off spilling this all over the floor as they where walking, and for this to drip on a marble like floor was horrendous Also the familys that would go up fill a plate to maybe take 2 bites of the food to then put the plate to one side and go and get something else, sheer waste, and this was the same with drinks and ice cream outside. Staff I can not fault the staff, they work 24/7 cleaning, serving and tidying, hats off to them, our little girl would always speak to them and they would speak back to them, so anyone that says the staff are miserable is wrong, you make an effort and speak a little spanish to them its only being polite. We went out a few times on walks down to the beach and in the town, it was fab, a lovely place to see and explore, we will def go back but not to club mac. While exploring we came across the lucky lucky men and women selling, items, please steer clear of these people, they are always just outside the hotel, and this was one thing we hated walking past them when you went out. Please be aware that not all things once you are in the club mac are free also, there are lots of things advertised, but you need to pay for them, like pony rides and tee-shirt painting and partys for children, I would recomment this place to familys only, i wouldnt have want to have gone here if i was a couple only, its just a shame that there are some familys allowed to cause havoc while staying here, they bring the place down, and before you all think that we are a snobby family, in no way are we, we have been brought up with manors like please and thank you and how to act in public. I welcome any questions from anyone about club mac, we did have a great time as a family of 3More

Not Good

Firstly, I would have given a lower rating had we not paid so little. Secondly, I do not recommend this place for couples. I booked this through first choice on a smart phone and it was not made clear that this was a kids hotel. We stayed in Hotel Jupiter between 20th October & 27th. We paid £250 each which was why we booked it. It's hard to criticise when you pay so little but if we paid any more I would have been gutted. The weather was fantastic and Alcudia/Mallorca is a beautiful place. So, the hotel... If you are booking through first choice and are expecting a first choice holiday, don't. It never felt like a first choice holiday in the slightest. It shares with jet2 holidays. I have never been to a hotel whether self catering or all inclusive that doesn't have a fridge in the room. You have to upgrade to a superior room for that. You also have a TV in your room but you have to pay for the this, again I've never seen any hotel do this. The sun loungers do not fold and are hard plastic, but if you want a cushion you have to pay by the day for these. Disappointing from a hotel. The food is good but is catered for English. It was a nice change to have English bacon. Ok amount of choice and each night is a theme night. But for me I like to experience the local cuisine and there was 1 night of Spanish food, paella / tapas etc but 1 night only. The hotel has a burger bar which was only open between 12.30 & 4.30. However the burgers are poor quality and on my 2nd burger I bit into a piece of hard cartilage eugh.... so I avoided this. Between your tea at night and bed it is missing a nice snack, there was a crepes stand but you had to pay for that, which again was disappointing given that this was an all inclusive holiday. The entertainment was poor. With the exception of George Peña (comedian) who was fantastic. The hotel looked like cheap with plastic tables and chairs in the lobby, it had 2 indoor bars which were not open all week. The restaurants look like a canteen. The rooms looked like a throw back from the 1960's. The bed was like a rock. The staff were miserable, especially in the restaurant, no manners, no people skills with the exception of 1 or 2. This should be addressed by the hotel as the staff can be the difference between somebody returning to the hotel or not. Lasers were annoying and apparently illegal, so occasionally on a night the security would go around telling folk to not use them, however as you walk out of the hotel, right at the entrance all day there are 2 men selling them, the security were stood there chatting with these people all day?! If the hotels want to stop the lasers being used, get rid of the people selling them at the door. The guests, it was at time like a documentary for benefit street. I though going on holiday while the kids are at school would mean few kids, this is not the case. In the 'restaurant' we saw a kid walking round, picking up the tongs for food with his mouth, while his mum stood and watched, we then saw the child with his head in the orange pieces with slaver coming down his face, again while his mum watched. Disgusting. The last thing is the water park. If you stay at the Saturn hotel you get in for free, but not at Jupiter? We did know this before we went but still it's the same resort. All in all, I would certainly recommend Alcudia, beautiful place, get on a bus and get around but unfortunately this hotel was only good for a cheap base to get out and explore. More

Del W,

Good place ruined by certain (british) guests

ok so we booked this all inclusive holiday last minute and it was cheap, we read reviews on here before hands and thought lets try it and make our own opinions we travelled 18th-25th october with Jet2 our room was situated in Jupiter hotel and was one of the premium rooms with all the extras such as wifi, tv with loads of channels, kettle, all i can say is its like a premier in room but smaller, in fact it was too small for us and we were a family of 2 adults and 1 child, the bunk beds were not wide enough and our little one found herself falling out of bed most nights, seemed like too much crammed into a small place, and balcony was tiny the hotel itself is clean and there is plenty to do, swimming pools are great but at time when it got busy you were either battling ciggerette smoke or dodging water squirters and balls, there is a dragon themed pool near the burger bar which is great for smaller children, but not so great when older children are running around it being too boistrous and to be honest this pool isnt for older children there is loads of things for kids to do as it says in some other reviews but be warned not everything is all inclusive there is a little theme park down past the dragon pool but this is so expensive and didnt look that appealing, food wasnt too bad, and there was plenty of choice every night had a different theme, but the best nights are the spanish and american/mexican nights, personally i would have ate the spanish food every night but due to the amount of british guests at this hotel the food is more geared towards that, the restaurants are best when they first open as they can get busy but you can always get a table, the main problem is the parents who think its acceptable to allow there children to run wild and fetch there own food which as per the hotels rules is not allowed but it goes on and is just ignored by the hotel staff, the children just get there own food and have no respect for anyone else that has to eat the food, but then again we viewed adults that cant even use common sense when in the restaurant, piling food up on plates only to waste 75% of it??? you can pretty much drink what you want between 10am and midnight, the only thing we found missing was baileys, i know all the spirits are local ones but you can get local versions of baileys which are quite good, the only other thing i noticed was the beer it comes advertised as san miguel 5% and there is a sign saying that they dont water down there drinks but with beer i was a bit unsure as to its strength, i couldnt tell id had a drink when drinking this beer but when we went out and about and had the same drink in a bar the beer was noticeabley stronger??? dont get me wrong this isnt a bad place but compared to where we went in the summer it wasnt as good, mainly because its not spanish enough, we are british but some of the british guests that use this hotel are ruining the reputation of this hotel, if you read the other reviews which lable the britsh guests as something off jeremy kyle then its very accurate, im not a snob at all but there are ways to act on holiday i wouldnt return to this hotel mainly because we like to try different places, but i would be tempted if it was more spanish orientated as most of this hotels problems are mainly because it trying to please fussy british guests, but i would never ever come to this hotel in the hight of summer, it was manic and over bearing on our visit in october, and that was with one of the 3 hotels closed, i would dread to think what its like full the entertainment is average at best and needs improving also dont be tempted to pay for public transport to get you into the town as its not that far to walk all in all we had a good holiday and found the hotel adequete for our needs and the staff were friendly, if anyone needs any questions answering about club mac then dont hesitate to contact meMore
