First time family holiday

This was our first family holiday abroad with our 12 and 9 year children. We stayed in the Jupiter on the 9th floor (the top), as we didn't want to constantly hear the evening entertainment, room could have been bigger as there wasn't a great deal of room with two double beds in....only one pillow each provided so we did have to ask for more. You have to pay extra for a safe, and we paid €3.50 per day when we wanted more channels to watch on the TV. I can't fault the food, plenty of choice, for breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus free snacks and drinks throughout the day. Contrary to other comments we never had to queue for meals and staff were quick to clear up and food hall was very clean, also hand sanitisers were provided at hall entrance. Waterpark was included in our holiday, sunbeds were €2 euros each, great selection of slides, and it's 2 minutes away from club mac. Entertainment in the evening was very good, two choices of entertainment provided. Lifts were a bit tiny, but there was no way I was climbing nine flights of stairs!! Corridors could be a bit noisy with doors banging but that's the fault of the people not the hotel. Reception staff were very helpful. To be fair I was dreading going after reading reviews and also the recent sickness bugs there but we had an amazing give it a go!!More

Very good holiday

Had a fantastic week at this hotel in august 2014....there was a family group of 11 children included.. The cleaners are constantly cleaning and the entertainment team and bar staff are always around and busy. The rooms we're of size as expected.. Couple of slight downfalls are beds we're very hard and squeaky and the cups at the bar could of been bigger as it's a busy hotel u feel like your going up every 10 minutes (hence why I was getting 4 for myself at a time) these things didn't effect a fantastic holiday. My mother had a 24 hour bug which the hotel sent a doctor nurse and constantly sent food water and medicine to the room which we thought was great and helped her to recover as soon as possible. The water park is also very good and we all loved it. One very big issue id like people to no is that 3 of us went out for a drink one night to the local clubs on the corner just round from the hotel as we exited to walk home we we're circled by 10-15 looky looky men who then tried to mug us and assault us. If it wasn't for the the two Spanish bouncers who ran up the road and stopped them I wouldn't like to think what would of happened so id like to advise people to not go out on there own late at night as they obviously prey on drunk people or people in smaller groups. Apart from this a fantastic holiday would reccomend to anyone..More

Grant M,

Excellent Holiday!

I read many reviews of this complex before we travelled and to be honest was quite worried about going, but I needn't have been. I cannot fault this complex. Its amazing, the kids will never run out of things to do, and the staff help every which way they can. Yes you have to take some spending money as the pool tables and games machines aren't free, but you can't have everything. The complex was spotless. the staff working all hours to ensure this is the case. The entertainment was fab with a choice of 2 different professional shows a night, my favourite being a comedian called George Pena - if you get chance to see him - do! I have never been to a complex this size before and it took a few days to adjust to how many people are there - but even then I can't say a bad thing about this place. The beach is also amazing which you can either take the short walk to or get the free bus outside the complex. The food was great - always a good choice to be had - but if you want to eat out there are a few bars just round the corner which are really good. Ref the queues that are often mentioned, yes there are a few because of the sheer number of people on the complex, but we never queued longer than a few minutes, the staff work really hard to make sure that everyone is served as quickly as possible. All in all this was an amazing 2 week holiday! :-)More

Wouldnt go back there

My family and i stayed in this hotel complex in the (jupiter) the room was lovely and clean with a poor view which overlooked some kind of swamp/bog type land. The swimming pools were excellent for our 15 and 8 year old boys. The restaraunt was poorly organised with not a great choice of foods.the snacks at night time were just the usual hot dogs n burgers....on the 2 nd week of our 12 night stay my husband became ill with a very bad tummy....the day after so did i.i can honestly say ive never vomit and ran to the loo ever..this totally spoiled the holiday....if your a couple going with a family ..dont go you will be bored stiff,we ate out and stsyed out of the complex as much as possible More

excellent hotel

An excellent holiday, 3 large hotels and busy but very well organised and staff fantastic. We just left yesterday after 10 nights of fantastic weather and lots of fun. Something for everyone to do al day long. I travelled with my 3 children age 17, 12 and 10 and all were catered for very well. I have never seen such a clean well maintained hotel with staff who paid attention to the cleanliness of every area. we stayed in Jupiter and although it is a big complex it was not noisy and meal times were spread out so you didn't have to wait to eat. The food was second to none much better than 4 and 5 star hotels I have stayed at. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to people with families as the facilities are amazing with the bonus of the water park entry free all day every day amazing. Thank you to all the staff at Club Mac for making our holiday so fantastic. A very clean comfortable well run hotel which did not deserve the bad press it got earlier this monthMore
