Worst Holiday Ever!
This truly was the worst holiday I have ever had or could possibly imagine... I booked a family holiday for 1 week to the Club Mac Hotel, Alcudia with Thomas Cook, I was traveling with my husband and two children aged 11 & 5,thought this would be ideal as it seemed a fun loving location. When we arrived I could barely see the pool for the Volume of people,it was 3pm. Went to the reception to check in, as I walked through the grounds there was football flags hanging off the balconys, bins overflowing,a middle aged man completely steaming drunk sitting in a heap at the front door, screaming kids everywhere, tattoos everywhere I turned!! Got our key and headed to the room, people arguing over who was first in the queue for the lift...the room was clean, beds clean but very basic and in need of a good re-vamp.. There was not a chance of a sun lounger,in fact that was the same for the full week we were there, people left there towels out all day & night so there was never a spare bed in sight, bad management from the hotel! being 5 months pregnant I would of loved a sun lounger for at least an hour in my 1 week holiday! this wasn't a holiday not in my eyes anyway, groups of lager louts drunk from the word GO! Very intimidating to walk past, the only way I can explain it without being too judgemental is chav central!! First dinner in the "restaurant" canteen style queuing for 15min for a table, kids with there hands in the food, never ate my dinner so fast in my life!! Man picking his toe nails at the dinner table.. I was soon starting to learn that my all inclusive "holiday" was going to be a very long week and that I would be eating out most nights! As the holiday went on it started to become a bit of a joke in our family as what the day would unravel, we tried to spend as much time in the lovely port of Alcudia and day trips to magaluf and surrounding beaches to keep my kids away from the disasters in the hotel such as a fight breaking out in the restaurant, a lady running around at night threatening to assault the holiday rep, a lady slapping her husband, kids being lost the list is endless. There is a pond with small boats etc the pond is full of dirt and green slime, the night time entertainment is the hotel reps jumping about to the same songs played every night, occasionally the odd act, only 4 drinks allowed per round at the bar, farce when the place is so busy! I could go on,if you are looking for a holiday with a bit of relaxing, nice food, nice hotel, nice class of people then take my advice and book elsewhere! We wasted over £3000 to come home feeling like we were robbed and in need of a holiday!! Chav central!!!More
got worse as time went on
1st day, everything looked great, last day, I want to go home! If you have a cast iron gut and don't mind queues', then this is the place 4 u. stayed in Saturno 1029 overlooking waterpark. top floor (GREAT VIEWS), Aircon units on ground floor kept us awake! asked for a room change and that was swiftly done, got 625 opposite side overlooking saturno stage, room was much less well kept, black mould in bathroom and water dripping from ceiling OH and not to forget the bed nearest to the door had a wonky leg and fell over every time you sat on it! 3 times we went to reception about this as our room phone did not work. went 4 days without housekeeping putting a very 1x1" small bar of soap in bathroom. also the Pirate Adventure night is forced upon you by reps! 2 adults,2 kids 1 of mine was classed as an adult because she was over 12,so 3 ad and 1 ch â¬210 "dinner" included :( show was brilliant, dinner was awful........1 chicken leg, 1 sausage, handful of chips, 1 sm bread roll and a poxy portion of coleslaw each!!!!!!!!! Nearer to the end of our hol there was a nasty sewerage smell coming from somewhere, not good as we did not have that for the first 10days.More

Great family holiday
This was our first family holiday abroad in Alcudia Club Mac. It was recommended to us by the travel agent. We've just recently stayed there for a week. Our 5 year old daughter had a great time. There is so much to do on the complex; never a dull moment!. The food in the Restaurants are delicious and varied. They have a themed food night every night of the week. Every age range is covered; even for the parents. We stayed all inclusive, which allowed us free entry into the hydro park; free bus to the beach and port. There's also a free ride on the duck boat; at certain times of the day. I'd definitely recommend it as a family holiday. The only downfall is It is expensive; especially the day excursions. We would have liked more variety and value for money. ðð More

Arrived back early hours of Tuesday morning! Cant fault this place really. After reading all the bad reviews im glad I didn change hotel. The complex is huge and we stayed on the 7th floor of the Jupiter hotel on the left side which is quieter. Our room had been recently decorated and was immaculate, we had a double bed when you walked through the door with a sink and large glass mirror with a toilet and shower. 2 Large double wardrobes then in the back room was a bunkbed with a day bed also. There was a dresser with a small bed side table and chair and another mirror and then there was the balcony. It was a small balcony but managed all 3 of us on there. Tv in each room if you wish to use them which we didn't as wasn't in there very long. Food- Something for everyone, the themes changed the whole week we was there. My daughter who is 8 is a picky eater at the minute but she ate everything that was on offer not once did she go to the kids section for chips! This was mainly the adults who went there! Salad bar, show cooking, fruits, breads, soups, meats, veg, fish, you name it they had it.....the puddings...well they were lovely. Daughter had 3 helpings most nights and she is a skinny Minnie also and ate like a horse. Drinks - Wowser they don't mess about with measures. Small plastic cups obviously due to being a kids complex, but they half fill your cup with spirits then the other half with pepsi, Defo not watered down spirits good stuff id say. Lager Is San Miguel and comes in half pint measures you can order as many as you can carry, the deposit of 5 euros for the drinks tray is worth it. Pools - You have to get down early sometimes to get a lounger, there is loads of loungers to go round but when there is a family of 5 or more who use all the loungers you don't stand a chance. We went to the beach most of the time and stayed around the pool twice. Life guards always on duty and they do a brilliant job, they had to pull a 2 year old out of the pool as she went face first in the pool. The parents wasn't watching they were all too busy at the burger bar getting there food and drink to notice, the life guard gave the child some arm bands so she could go in the pool......the parents then took them off!!!! This is why the place gets a bad name! Beach - 10 to 15 min walk and it is beautiful the water is so shallow you can lay and play in it all day my daughter loved it. Entertainment is brilliant for everyone not just the kids, they involve everyone, the kids clubs are sometimes chargeable so watch this. Pony ride you have to pay for, the battery powered cars you have to pay for, Not everything is included. This hotel is immaculate if there was a bit of rubbish the cleaners were onto it straight away they don't mess around, they work there butts of in that place day and night and they always smile and say hello. Hand sanitizers everywhere, loos, snack bar, burger bar, restaurant, everywhere, there is certain ones who don't use it!!! I would recommend this to any one with kids wanting a family holiday I enjoyed it and Alcudia is a wonderful place to visit.More
