Venosa Beach Resort & Spa

This new hotel teams chic interiors with a great pool scene, 5 restaurants, and panoramic sea views.

This beachfront hotel has a top location – it backs on to a shingle beach, and is a short hop on the bus from the centre of Altinkum and the ancient village of Didim.

Things here centre on the pool scene. There’s a huge pool plus a set of waterslides, all in a great spot overlooking the sea.

never 5 star but with a little tweaking it could be

just returned from our stay at the venosa. rooms are fantastic stunning views, t he hotel is kept spotlessly clean by the very hard working cleaners, but the reason I have not rated it 5 star is because of the food and the layout of the restaurant, it is also very isolated, nothing nearby apart from 1 crappy bar down the road. The one thing that is 5 star are all the staff, they were always cheerful, helpful, and very hardworking, every one of them a credit to the hotel, don't lose them. Would I recommend this hotel? Yes mainly because it represents fantastic value for money, its just that we expected more from a hotel that classes itself as 5 star, but don't be put off going.More

Great hotel, great animation team!

The overall hotel experience was amazing, food was excellent once again, staff were all very friendly and there was a nice refreshing variety of drinks. Perfect sports bar around the corner that always has some football on and the waiter there was very friendly too. The room had a great view but they all do so it doesn't matter what floor you're on. The animation team were also amazing, there was always something to do and they didnt force you to join! Dido was very funny and often joined me and others for a friendly chat when he was on his break, Bibo was absolutely hilarious! I was in tears around him sometimes because of how funny he was. Kubra was very nice and encouraged people to join in with her friendly manner, her English was also very good so she was easy to have a conversation with and was always smiling. DJ stephen was quality in the night club and played music which got everyone, including me, up on the dance floor! Mario was always up and about chatting with guests and all in all they created a wonderful atmosphere around the hotel. The shows the animation team put on also kept you entertained at night and also top class. When i return next year i would be happy if they were still part of the animation team.More

Good & Not so Good

This is a difficult review. The hotel is modern, clean, and the rooms are good, although the beds are somewhat hard. The pool area is clean and the grounds are kept tidy. The staff are polite and friendly, and given that many of them are working 18 hours a day they are surprisingly cheerful. The restaurant is clean and has a good atmosphere. The buffet menu is typical all inclusive, the food quality is .ok but there is a lack of variety, and the desserts were the same at every meal. The only fish on offer was Mackeral, Sea bream or Red Mullet would have been a nice option. Varieties of cold meats and cheese were limited, and there was an absence of Feta cheese. overall the eating experience was fair but a bigger variety would make it so much better. The location of the Venosa is not good, it is isolated, with nothing around it other than 2 shops and a sports bar. we did take a trip to Altinkum, but this place was very disappointing, being full of rubbish, rubble, cheap tacky shops, and some very dubious looking eateries. While the grounds of the Venosa are kept tidy, a 20 metre walk fromthe hotel beach led to the discovery of piles of rubbish, such a shame that this could not be cleared up. The entertainment was so typical of all inclusive hotels, but the animation team tried hard. Being late in the season the three restaurants were closed, also the waffle tent was closed. Given what was paid for this holiday it did represent decent value, but the location, and the repetitive meals, made us glad that we only stayed for one week. I would not give the Venosa 5 stars as an overall rating.More

Venosa October 2014

A very nice modern hotel with all the utilities you would expect. All rooms have a sea view which is unusual with most hotels charging extra for this facility. Staff friendly and courteous and no complaints about service. A 'Dolmus' bus service runs from the gate entrance to Didim and Altinkum at a cost of just two Lira, bus runs every fifteen minutes. If you would like to go to the Market just check with the driver (Same Price) the same bus also runs to Apollo's Temple which is just 10 lira entrance fee and worth a trip out. It may have been the time of year or the location of the Hotel as despite there being a 24 hour bar and people taking advantage of the all inclusive there were no signs of drunkenness or rowdy behaviour. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing break in pleasant surroundings.More
