This new hotel teams chic interiors with a great pool scene, 5 restaurants, and panoramic sea views.
This beachfront hotel has a top location – it backs on to a shingle beach, and is a short hop on the bus from the centre of Altinkum and the ancient village of Didim.
Things here centre on the pool scene. There’s a huge pool plus a set of waterslides, all in a great spot overlooking the sea.

My new favourite!
What an amazing place. We just returned from a weeks holiday at the Venosa and I have nothing but good things to say. The design of the building is well thought out, even when full you don't feel crowded. Everything is accessible and within reach. The rooms are very comfortable and have everything you need as a base, each room has a lovely Seaview. The restaurants are spacious and well presented. The food is always good, sometimes dishes are repeated but they are popular and tasty, they are replenished often, over a week I was happy with eating what I fancied each day. The staff are the best I have ever come across, EVERY waiter and manager was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Houdaverdi the restaurant manager was exceptional, he took great care to treat every guest with care and respect, my mother has mobility difficulties and uses a walking aid, he reserved a table close to the buffet and one waiter in particular - Gockhan - helped my mum select her food and supported her back to the table.. The Italian a la carte was lovely, appetisers and starters are set and you choose your main course and dessert. The staff are very attentive and the food is delicious. The snack area is clean and food is cooked fresh if you choose not to go to the main restaurant at lunchtime. Ice cream is available every afternoon. The pools are well designed except those with mobility difficulties cannot get in easily. The beach is lovely, it is picturesque and safe. The water is clear and shallow with no waves, you can see fishes swimming around your legs! There are plenty of sunbeds on the beach and around the pool, you don't have to put your towel out each morning! The beach bar serves drinks all day, the soft drinks are branded, Efes beer is good, plenty of bottles of water and hot drinks and local alcohol is served with a smile. The animation team work tirelessly, they try hard and encourage you to join in without being pushy. The entertainment of an evening was not our cup of tea but we took cards to play with and I-pads (wifi hit an miss - the restaurant was the best connection but that is unsociable at mealtimes so we did not use it much) The guest relations manager - Nursen, is lovely and helpful, she smiles all day and wants you to be happy. Tracey was our Thomson rep, and being a regular Thomson traveller I can honestly say that she is the best rep I have ever come across. She got a wheelchair for my mum to make her mobility more comfortable, she managed to get my trousers cleaned after unbeknown to me I was sitting on chewing gum during the airport transfer from Bodrum to the Venosa and I thought my black trousers were ruined but Tracey sorted it and I wore them home looking brand new!! She is friendly and very helpful. Many guests return to the Venosa and I can see why, I would happily go back to be treated with special attention and experience another great week. Thank you to all the staff who work tirelessly to give us guests a great holiday.More
Beware of taxis called by reception on a rainy day
Today is market day and it's rained. We asked reception to call us a taxi to the market/bazaar and when the cab arrived we checked he was for the market and our cab. My partner asked how much as we'd been told 25-30tl the driver tapped his meter and said "on meter" We got in and again said the market. The dolmus is 2tl each so a total of 4tl so imagine our surprise to be driven around Altinkum on back roads to then be dropped off at the seafront and NOT at the market. Furthermore the unscrupulous taxi driver demanded 35tl for a journeyto a place we did NOT ask for. It then cost anadditional 15tl to get another taxi to the market. So a 4tl dolmus journey ended up costing us 50tl (£13) FUMING is not the word especially as it was the hotel reception who called this rip off merchant! Generally we've had fantastic honest service by everybody but it seems the temptation to to rip off is never far away sadly especially when it rains!More
GET ME BACK!
Not one for reviews but this hotel was amazing so felt the need to. Food was lovely although very similar most days but still suited us as it very fresh and tasty and preferred the main restaurant to the Italian. Animation team worked very hard and long hours and were so much fun. Special shout to JUST, MARIO and RIO. Tracy our TUI rep was also amazing and helped us with anything we needed. I'd recommend getting a higher room as the views are spot on and great for a cheeky picture. One and only down fall was the location, it's a little bit out the way and transfer from the hotel is about 90mins and not on great roads but i knew this before booking so can't moan. Overall I loved every minute of the holiday and every single member of staff was amazing especially bar staff and animation. If you are a tipper like me spare a thought for the gardeners working all day in 30 plus degree heat. ;-) More
