At the Yellow Alvor Garden, the clue’s in the name – it’s a peaceful place surrounded by good-looking gardens.
Relaxation is the theme at the Yellow Alvor Garden. That goes for the pool area, the laid-back entertainment scene, and the big gardens.
The fishing village of Alvor is less than a 20-minute walk away – or less, if you jump on the shuttle bus to the beach.

We booked the Yellow Alvor, it was a fair price and looked lovely in the brochure. Reception area was very pleasant and we treat well. But the rooms and the rest of the hotel really does need a bloody good clean and redecoration. The rooms were poor and although ours overlooked the car park, it didn't really matter as we didn't spend much time in it. The pool was fabulous, and the grandchildren were kept happy. The entertainments team were excellent, especially Lily, who took them each afternoon from 2 until 4. We could find nowhere on an evening to sit and have a drink, apart from outside, where we were being bitten. I can honestly say that I can eat anything but even I was struggling to find something edible. The brochure says it's only 10 minutes walk to the beach and Alvor town. Took us 25 minutes! The shuttle bus only went to the beach three times a day. 10am, midday and 5pm. Very disappointed.More
Mr Mrs Feakins.
We have just come home after a fantastic week at the Yellow Alvor Garden. We were looking for a good value holiday and we really got one. I have seen some of reviews and I wonder what some people expect. This hotel was amazing value for money. It was very clean, yes the decor is a little dated but remember what yoir paying, of course its not five star. Everything worked the service was great and the staff were all helpful. The all inclusive was great value too. The garden and pool area were brilliant really lovely. There is plenty to do in the local area. We walked to the beach and town to make use of the stunning beaches and boardwalk. The hotel dose lay on a bus but we were happy to walk after all the food and drink. We loved our stay. Obrigado More
Hit and Miss
Staff are all friendly and the rooms are clean. Pool area is very nice. But please be careful when booking this hotel. The food is very much a hit and miss. Some days food would be ok. Others we ended up going out for dinner or lunch as the food was just dreadful. If any kids are fussy eaters you may struggle to get them to eat the food as there isn't really a choice for kids. More
Yellow alvor garden
Just got back from the yellow alvor garden today, had a fantastic holiday room was overlooking the garden and pool, room was spotless and cleaned every day, only one complaint was the beds were very hard . The grounds were lovely with the pounds , swimming pool was clean tidy and looked after well. Staff were always happy to help and couldn't do enough, entertainment staff during the days were great and welcoming all. Some of the decor needs attention in places and don't think it's a 4star hotel. Alvor town only a short walk away around 15 minutes And the beach 20 minutes or a taxi ride 4 euros, all in all very nice stay at the hotel.More
Lovely relaxing holiday
We stayed here at the end of May to beginning of June. It was a brilliant holiday! The staff were so helpful and friendly. The rooms were in need of refurbishment but the beds were comfortable and the showers good. The cleanliness overall was good - the toilets throughout were all regularly cleaned and in good condition. The outside staircases could have done with more regular cleaning but the gardens and outside pool area were beautifully kept and well cared for. Amazing grounds making relaxing outside a joy. The only downside was the food, some of which was not well cooked. However salads were great as were some of the main courses and the fruit was fantastic. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable holiday in a lovely place. More
