Hotel Diana Palace

This central hotel is a real favourite with guests, thanks to its great pool scene and nearby beach.

This compact hotel has just 130 rooms, giving it a warm, intimate feel. Outside there’s a big pool in among the gardens. And on the dining front, there’s a big buffet restaurant and barbecue nights.

The hotel’s on one of Argassi’s main streets, so there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. It’s a 5-minute stroll from the beach, while 5 minutes in the car will get you to the capital, Zante Town.

Clean friendly hotel

Really enjoyed staying in this I think is a privately family owned hotel. You felt special right from the start. Rooms were clean and modern as were the bathrooms with full size baths. The food was adequate with lots of choice. I always found something to eat. The barmen remembered everybody's names and what they drank. Met some lovely people here many of whom come back year after year. Main pool was very noisy with music and games if you wanted quiet there was another pool which was quiet. All inclusive didn't include cocktails. The Greek night was fabulous well worth going to. All round good value. More

Dawn L,

Best hotel in THE WORLD

This year was our 9th visit to Diana Palace over 5 years. We wouldn't go anywhere else now. We got married on 23rd June and the hotel decorated our room and even bought us wedding presents.i pre booked a number of guests for the wedding and we all had upgraded rooms at no extra cost. I consider every member of staff my Greek family and cannot sing this hotels praises enough. The rooms are cleaned every single day, there is always a big smile on every members of staff faces. The food is beautiful and there is a huge range of meals to suit everyone's taste buds. The entertainment is comical (well done Alex and the rest of the gang) Ouzo Alex will return next year lol. A massive big thank you to Eleni and Katerina (see pics) for helping me into my wedding dress. We got there in the end lol. if you want to travel to Zante this is the hotel to stay in. Thank you Diana Palace for making my holiday special time and time again. Love you all xxxxxxxx see you in September.More

first visit to an amazing place

First impressions are a good way to carry on. Reception staff amazing friendly helpful genuinely care. Restaurant staff to name but a few Alex and flora and Orlando and Leonardo the chefs and kitchen staff what a fantastic team. The service given is wonderful the food cannot be faulted with a wide variety at all meals and snack time too.The cleaners are efficient quietly going about their jobs but also with a smile and a great deal of efficiency.the animation team we'll what can I say Alex midos Chico and the lovely lina you are an inspiration to say you made our holiday an interesting one would be an understatement you are truly fun to be with. And finally the bar staff Marcos Williams and stathias nothing was too much trouble regardless of the amount of work or people to serve you are a fantastic team and we are privileged to have met you all. You do a wonderful job and you are a credit to your employers. The inner areas are spacious and clean the pools(2) are also excellently maintained together with the gardens and shaded places. Rooms are clean and adequately equipped with fridge and hairdryer there are no kettles which some guests would have liked but they are very clean and towels changed daily and bedding changed regularly. All in all one of the nicest places I have stayed in. Your team at the diana palace are amazing. Thank you all so much and we hope to see you all again soon.More

Excellent Value for Money

We booked direct with the hotel and sourced our own flight. We booked based upon the large number of good reviews. Our opinion is that the hotel provides outstanding value for money but not everything was to our taste. What also impressed is where historically someone had said they did not like something there appears to have been an attempt to improve the hotel. An example one review complained about a lack of cocktails, they are now available on a menu for a modest supplement Staff: - Look at my profile and you will see we have traveled the world and we have stayed in top 100 hotels and budget hotels. Without exception this is the first hotel we have ever come across where every person in every department was genuinely friendly, this was a little spoilt because on checkout Denise had forgotten to take her happy pill that morning but all the other ladies on reception are lovely. Room; - Basic simple and clean and with a lovely chambermaid. Unbelievably hard bed and a lack of drawers for storage. Restaurant: - Whatever we say here will be read negatively, but here goes, for us there was too much that came from a packet, a factory, a tin or a freezer. Coupled to this buffets no matter where the hotel is they never deliver hot food. To balance this we did enjoy the fresh pepper and onions stir fry and most of the fish dishes were excellent. After a couple of days we ate out at least once a day. There are some excellent restaurants which prepare food to your taste and they are not very expensive. Starters around €3 to €5, main dishes €8 to €12 and house wine around €6, bottled wine around €10 and excellent premium wine around €18. Drink; - The beer was fine, the spirits ok with mixers, the wine awful and the juices just flavoured water Entertainment: - It was very Hi-De-Hi and dominated by a small group of mature laddish Brits. The music around the main pool was too loud for us so we retreated to the quiet pool where you could usually get a bed with little difficulty. The main pool all the beds were reserved by mainly Brits before 8.00am. As a lovely couple who were at the quiet pool said to us, ‘at times it’s an embarrassment to be British’ enough said. As many have said why should those who choose the quiet pool be penalised by the long walk to from the main pool carrying drinks when the Animation Bar could easily be opened during the day. General comments: - The hotel has a small number of rules for the benefit of all guests but where these are ignored no action is taken to enforce them, so why have the rules? As we said we booked direct and for the small amount of money we paid we received excellent value but it is the staff that make this place an exceptional place.More

*Diamond in the rough*

Returned yesterday from Diana Palace and it is safe to say the staff are second to none. The service they provided and the care they took in the comfort of the guests was impeccable. Upon arrival we were greeted very pleasantly and presented with a fruit cocktail. The hotel grounds were very lovely and the main pool was well situated within a social area. There are many sunbeds and the pool was never too crowded (most of the time there were very few people in it) and it was extremely refreshing. The food was also delicious, with a wide range which caters for all tastes, ranging from stuffed pork to fresh feta cheese. Every monday there is a Greek Night with more greek themed foods and a show put on which also involves the guests. Out of all the hotels I have visited I have never seen the entertainment (animation) team work so hard and try to get people involved. There are activities and games for everyone to enjoy, including bingo and water polo. The room however is a little bit dated, but nothing to moan about and we were in the family room therefore had plenty of space and an own kitchenette area. We did face problems with the bathroom as the shower and sink did leak so we just had to put down lots of towels, but having said that, the leaky shower was the only thing negative about this hotel! Location of Diana Palace is situated within the resort of Argasi, which has usual supermarkets and souvenir shops, an array of restaurants and a handful of bars. There are various mini-golf courses (I recommend World Tour) and also has bus stops enabling you to visit beaches etc. It is only a 10 minute drive from the capital of Zante Town (in a taxi only 8euros one way) and is also close to the sea. (Note, the beach in Argasi is a pebble beach which you are unable to walk on when the tide is in.) As mentioned earlier, the staff are the nicest most friendliest people who always ask your name and give 110% all the time. Overall the hotel was incredibly brilliant, with outstanding food and staff that you cannot knock. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody that is up for an incredible holiday in a quieter resort in Zante! If I could rate this hotel 4.5, then I sure would!More
