Hotel Diana Palace

This central hotel is a real favourite with guests, thanks to its great pool scene and nearby beach.

This compact hotel has just 130 rooms, giving it a warm, intimate feel. Outside there’s a big pool in among the gardens. And on the dining front, there’s a big buffet restaurant and barbecue nights.

The hotel’s on one of Argassi’s main streets, so there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. It’s a 5-minute stroll from the beach, while 5 minutes in the car will get you to the capital, Zante Town.

A few hiccups but overall a pleasant stay.

Firstly as soon as we walked in they told us about a booking hiccup on their side, we had booked two rooms, however ended up being put into one family room (which was a cheaper booking option), to make up for their mistake they gave us pretty much every extra going; - All day Air Conditioning - Safe Key - Late Room Checkout (6pm) Some of these where essentials to us anyway so we would have probably paid for these anyway. An important thing to note with a couple of things if you are visiting this hotel; - The room air-conditioning is on a timer, so throughout the day it will be turning on and off, and during the night it will be on for a couple of hours and then turn off (didn't experience this due to us having the extra, so can't comment on temperature of the room when it was off) - The all-inclusive bar only lasts till 11pm, so if you're like me and enjoy a holiday drink and late nights make sure you get them down you if you want them to be free, i found this bit odd after being to all inclusive's where the local produce is free 24/7, but no real dramas. - The WiFi is something to be desired, speeds fluctuate massively, range fluctuates the same. There is no option i saw of any 'premium' WiFi, so I resorted to using my EuroPass (EE) where there was 4G everywhere. The staff where faultless, they where friendly, polite and helpful. If you had any questions about the local town, hotel or excursions to do, they would always give you a solid and in detailed answer. We ended up doing the Kerri Caves boat trip and is well worth it, especially if you have a GoPro, the water is really clear, which means there is a great opportunity for some nice underwater shots etc when swimming through the cave. Location of the hotel is great, in the mix of everything and walking distance of everything you need. There are two pools, the main pool is very lively and music on all day and activities going on around you, believe it or not this was not the pool with the kids pool attached. The pool at the lower end of the hotel has the kids pool but we found this much quieter and more relaxing somehow, maybe down to well behaved kids? We hired a car one of the days and took a day trip to some of the beaches; - Dafni Beach, very nice and quiet beach, its a bit of a drive but plenty of photo stops on the way. - Banana Beach, slightly more mainstream run, more for the adrenaline junkies than the quiet beach goers. - Beach right at the bottom of Zakinthos (Forgot its name), again very quaint with some gorgeous views. Pleasant enough hotel with friendly staff that will help you out with anything really.More

Josh S,

A difficult review to write

The reason thiß review is difficult to write is because I can only echo what others have said. So I am going to concentrate on the quality and variation of the food. First of all you always get the " breakfast is the same every day brigade" what do people expect, they have to cater for many different nationality's, I wonder what the reaction would be if they didn't out out fried eggs or bascon on the breakfast buffie :-) On a more serious note the quality and variation was excellent, with out doubt one of the best all inclusive buffets we have had. If someone can't find something , then sorry they are just to bloody choosey . The hotel overall had high standards with regards to cleanliness, with friendly accommodating staff. The only negative and it's a personal thing is that there was no kettle in the room. Both me and my wife are early risers and like to sit on the balcony with a cuppa. Thank you an enjoyable stay, and would have no hesitation in recommending the Diana Place to any one going to Zante.More

Arnie R,

Happy holiday.

Stayed here for week & can have little complaints. In the centre of everything that goes on in argassi. friendly staff and bar man knows EVERYONES name. Went all inclusive but regretted as out most times but was fine, maybe the food was a little repetitive and couldn't really stomach it every day but was totally fine. Entertainment was not great and that is really my only complaint. Air con only comes on at certain times so have to pay £3 euro a day but it's worth it believe me. Only a short trip to Laganus for party scene aswell. Around €15 in a cab. Well done Diana Palace More

Fabulous Holiday!

We have just returned from Diana Palace Hotel in Zakinthos on 12th July 2016. The hotel is fabulous, the staff are lovely, the food is wonderful. All in all we had a great time. The rooms are clean and the all of the staff in Diana Palace go out of their way to welcome you and cant do enough to help. We travelled as a couple and would thoroughly recommend this hotel!More
