Hotel Diana Palace

This central hotel is a real favourite with guests, thanks to its great pool scene and nearby beach.

This compact hotel has just 130 rooms, giving it a warm, intimate feel. Outside there’s a big pool in among the gardens. And on the dining front, there’s a big buffet restaurant and barbecue nights.

The hotel’s on one of Argassi’s main streets, so there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. It’s a 5-minute stroll from the beach, while 5 minutes in the car will get you to the capital, Zante Town.

Very friendly staff, great location, pleasant stay!

We visited in October 2013 but it's not an option on the list. However we had a lovely stay. It was the end of the season so the weather was very wet and rainy, however we knew there was a chance for this. We did find it hard to keep ourselves entertained the entire time however we rented a car which was easy enough and went on walks and soaked up our free time. I can imagine its a lovely place in the midst of summer, very lively night life etc.The staff were all lovely, making games to keep us entertained, our welcome on arrival especially friendly. The food was nice, plenty to choose from. The bar drinks were a little watery however, my only criticism.I would return, in the summer this time! Overall a good place to go as a package holiday, rooms are comfortable, the pool is nice and just overall a nice place to go. Possibly better to go in a group as its more sociable for a weeks break when the weathers a bit wet. Otherwise I can't fault it! There are a lot of cats and dogs on this island, sadly not all the locals are kind to them, a lot of cats hang around the hotel which is nice as they get scraps of food and are relatively safe. They stay away from human contact though so are safe with kids as they wouldn't get near them! We found a poorly skinny kitten with its mum and a second healthier kitten. I was upset by this so I googled for a local charity and found a great one (search for Ζακυνθινός Όμιλος Μέριμνας Ζώων/Zakynthos Animal Welfare Fund-Official on facebook.)The lady who set it up is English and a gem of this world. We messaged her and arranged to meet up and she took the kitten in, sadly it was too unwell so she took it to the vet to put it down. She as going to go back for the mother and second kitten who were in much better shape. Please donate to the cause as they really do a lot to help the animals and many find loving homes on the island or abroad.More

Nice stay on Zakynthos

We have visited Zakynthos in summer 2013 and we chose Diana Palace. The trip from the airport was ok, we were checked in quickly, but we found out that our room is ground floor and next to the restaurant supply courtyard, so we asked for room change and we got 2nd floor room almost at the end of the wing, so we were satisfied. Rooms were nice and cleaned up daily. Restaurant was serving a variety of food, local and continental cuisine. Sometimes we had to wait till some table was available; restaurant itself is a smaller one. Staff was overall good, however they were kind of "eating" your plates; as soon as you had emptied the plate, a waiter almost jumped across to clean it up. A minute wait would not hurt anyone. We were not using any pool as long as it was overcrowded a lot; the walk to visit the beach is worth taking. Beach itself was ok, but do not expect long sand beaches in Agrassi. We bought a boat trip around the island, the trip itself was ok with several nice places and stops, but it cannot counterweight the boat, which was utter disgusting and I would never recomment this trip to anyone. Banana Beach is worth visiting, organized trips from just outside of the hotel. To sum it up, we had a good time in Agrassi, just-above-average restaurant with decent staff and nice room. Definitely a must-stay if you want to spend time in Agrassi (locals told us that we could not choose a better hotel to stay in).More

Brilliant stay

I can see why so many people return to this hotel year after year. From the moment I walked through the door I was made to feel like a honored guest, from the welcome cocktail & swift check in, taken personally to my room to keeping my room until my departure some time after normal checkout. What makes this hotel special are the staff, nothing is too much trouble not that I am a demanding guest! My room was on the second floor above reception, with a balcony with views over the pool, although not huge perfectly adequate for a lone traveler, furnished simply but with everything need, a travel kettle was provided on request as I had bought the wrong adapter with me. The hotel is not huge but that adds to the personal touch, 2 pools one especially for children are kept beautifully clean as are all the rooms, cleaned & serviced daily. The food was great, plenty of choice & replenished often & piping hot which is unusual for buffets, breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner were all exceptional, loved the Greek night, you could eat virtually all day. Stathios (hope it's spelled right) on the pool bar deserves a special mention, remembers your drinks choice & always had time for a few words & was totally in tune when he senses a top up was required. Credit too to the animation team, games aren't really my thing but Orlando did not push participation but again stopped by for a chat when he wasn't busy, again loved the Greek dancing & the quizzes. The reception staff again go above & beyond to make sure you are looked after. This was first holiday alone & any worries I had were swiftly diminished as all the staff & other holiday makers made sure I was included. I have booked my return trip this morning & am sure I will join the other travelers who return again & again.More

Brilliant time, hotel and staff are 5*

We went for a week in October, knowing the weather could be very hit and miss in Zante. But we wanted an all inclusive week away that meant we could relax and not spend much money. What a brilliant place to go.. Okay the village was empty and a lot was closed, but if you research your locations like we did we knew this could be the case. The weather on some days was brilliant , other days in was rainy , but the hotel made sure we were never bored, the staff constantly aimed to please us putting on competitions, things to do and fun activities, the hotel was nice and clean and the rooms everyday were made up, clean towels, beds made etc. the food was fab too much choice and home a lot heavier than when we went. Food for all tastes and everyone was catered for. The staff couldn't have done anymore than they did. The bar was great every night we had something to entertain us, even though it was the end of the season. The reception staff organised our car hire for us, which was brilliant value, told us places to go and we spent about ten hours out and about travelling the island. They organised our bus transfer without even being asked to. Just fabulous. We had great nights , Greek night, quizzes, karaoke, and much more. We drank the drinks, cocktails and anything we needed all day, the bar staff wee friendly, fun and made it such a great place to be. We want to go back again next year with our kids this time, as I know the place will cater for them as well. I very rarely go back to the same place as there are so many places in the world to see. But we are definitely going to go back when we can grab a few more rays. Pool area is lovely as well and only 5 mins from the sea, a few minutes to the supermarket as well which is always helpful. I cannot speak more highly of this hotel and the welcome we had. It really was unforgettable, we made some genuinely amazing new friends from England and from there and through the wonders of social media know we can keep in touch and will always know we will be welcomed back anytime. Thanks guys it really was a blast. Cannot speak highly enough of you all.... Thanks again. Bex, Dan, Debbie, Tom and Beth.More
