The Arinara Bang Tao Beach Resort has a king-sized beach on its doorstep. And it’s only a 10-minute drive from the Laguna Canal Village shopping centre.
This place sits on a big, wide band of beach – one of the longest in Phuket. It’s dotted with a small amount of seafood joints and a watersports hut offering surfing lessons and paddleboards.
Traditional Thai décor lends the hotel its good looks, with dark-wood furniture decking out everything from the deluxe swim-up rooms to the restaurants.

Stayed here last week. Great hotel in BangTao located right on beach. A few good restaurants and bars with live music 5 mins walk away. Rooms are very spacious, comfortable beds and clean. Wifi was ok in rooms but no so good in breakfast restaurant and by pool. Friendly staff . Breakfast was good with large variety of foods. Some ground floor rooms had own private pools. A couple of pools. The main large pool with swim up bar was great. About 1.5m sq area of pool had loose tiles opposite the bar area towards the rooms. Noticed a few other broken cracked tiles as well. Everything has the taxes added 10% and 7 % to bill. If i back in phuket and on Bangtao beach. I will definitely stay here. . More
Great mid range beach resort in a prime location
We stayed at the Arinara for 10 nights in April 2016. The Arinara is ideally located at the quiet end of Bangtao main beach road with most of the resorts shops, bars and restaurants within just a few minutes walk. It is also directly on the beach with it's own walkway leading onto the sands. We opted for a garden facing pool access room with breakfast included. The rooms are large, simply decorated with 2 queen beds with a handly partition between them (if someone were to fancy a daytime snooze!). I would describe the rooms as solid and functional rather than beautiful and luxurious. The bathrooms are equally large making it possible for my wife and I to carry out our daily beautifying regimes without tripping over each other! The pool access option does not give you access to the main pool but rather a very long, narrow pool that is shared between 6 apartments. Ours being garden facing was much more quiet and private than the main pool facing apartments and we loved it. We certainly got our money's worth out of it utilising it for a daily morning swim and a dip after a balmy night on the town! The pool at the Arinara is divided into 3 sections. The main area is the largest with a swim to bar, in the middle is the shallow kids area with a slide then closest to the ocean is the chill out pool with jacuzzis. There are plenty of loungers available and a very lazy call the waiter buzzer was a nice touch. All in all spot on! Leisurewise there is also a gym at the hotel located near to reception. It is clean and well air conditioned but the equipment is a little old and limited. Slightly disappointing for a resort of this size. Breakfast at the Arinara is 'ok'. We sat outside rather than the main air conditioned room and found the staff to be very helpful and pleasant with fresh coffee always on tap. I liked the egg station and the wholemeal toasting bread was just excellent (which isn't always the case in Thailand!). The main dishes at the buffet such as rice, noodles, stir fried and European breakfast items were the part that I would describe as 'just ok'. There was an element of blandness and lack of seasoning but it certainly was not terrible and we never went hungry. We never ate at the hotel other than breakfast. All in all I would describe the Arinara as a great mid range choice for a beach resort in Bangtao. There are cheaper resorts nearby that are older and not as nice plus other big name resorts that will cost you around 50% more for a similar setting. We loved our time here as did the 2 lovely German families who were our neighbours...We will be back!More

We stayed for 2 weeks from 25th February, Arrived at 8.30am and were checked in straight away to a spacious room on the 3rd floor room 5312, Everything was great the food was amazing with a different meat each night, The drift bar was great but it's a shame there isn't enough seating as it gets busy after dinner, Big shout out to Alee who worked there he was amazing and very attentive. The reserving of sun beds was the major gripe as you had to get up at 6am to ensure you got 2 this should really be sorted out as you come away to relax, The pool bar was amazing but opens at 11am so quite a wait in the scorching sun for a cold drink but the snacks on offer for all inclusive really were fantastic. The waiters were great here also. Met some great people and had an amazing holiday, The trip to the Buddha & Temple was a great day out we booked this outside for half the price. The launderette across the road from the hotel was fantastic 50 baht for 1kg and were bough back ironed and smelling so fresh, If you cross the road outside the hotel up the road to your right it's the 1st one of the left a bit further up. All in all a fantastic time was had and we hope to be back next year although the prices have risen quite a bit shame.More
Perfect for us
Second stay here, we liked it so much last year we booked it for our honeymoon this year. The hotel seemed to have made several improvements over the last 12 months, food quality and choice was much better and there seemed to be more staff. We stayed in a garden view pool access room. The room was huge (can be sectioned off into two large double bedrooms if required) with great aircon, a nice size balcony with steps into your own section of pool - lovely! The beds are huge, the mattress firm but very comfy. It was cleaned every day and although it stated the sheets would be changed every third day we found that ours were changed daily, along with the towels. We found all staff very pleasant, helpful and polite. We found there was some confusion from other UK guests as to what was included in the 'All Inclusive' - it's quite simple - anything on the Suneo Club drinks menu. This hotel is situated right on beautiful Bang Tao beach. Just a few steps away on the road side of the hotel are plenty of restaurants, shops, tour places, massage parlours, tuk tuks or taxis. Scooter hire is available from many places in the village, we would recommend doing this and exploring the village further. Posh shops and a supermarket selling home brand items are situated Laguna end. The only negative thing we would say is that there is a small section at the beach entrance (on the hotel grounds) called Lux that is run separately to the hotel (bar, restaurant, sofas and chairs). You need to purchase a drink or food from here in order to use that area. Don't let this put you off though - we can't wait to go back! Final mention of Tom, the Thomson rep - great guy, very friendly, very helpful and went above and beyond the usual rep service, ensuring everyone was happy and making the most of their holiday.More
We stayed here in February with our 9 year old son and were very impressed with the hotel. Very clean and staff all polite and friendly. The Suneo Club lads were fantastic and really made our son's holiday special. They were a real credit to the hotel. The pools were large and never felt crowded. Location was fantastic being able to walk straight onto a gorgeous sandy beach. We were all inclusive and found this to be comprehensive, with very little not being included in our package. We were able to get a wide range of soft and alcoholic drinks including a good choice of cocktails. Food was very nice with a good variety always on offer. As other reviewers state there are parts of the hotel that are a bit dated but this didn't impact on our enjoyment of this lovely hotel. We would highly recommend a stay here!More
