With an infinity pool, top-class restaurants and cut-above rooms, this place has the edge when it comes to luxury. It’s in a standout beachfront setting, too.
As you’d expect from the name, this place is pulled up against a long – almost a kilometre – stretch of sugary sand. It’s got a village feel, with 5 restaurants and 3 pools fanning out from an Italian-style piazza.
Rooms are design-mag stylish, and include king-size beds, huge flatscreen TVs and iPod docks as standard. They all come with Indian Ocean views, too.

Great Hotel with Extraordinary Service
Spend 7 days at Long Beach for the 2nd time. The very high standard is consistent from all aspects: Accommodation, Location, Beach, Food, Family etc. The service from staff is absolutely spectacular and deserves as special mention. Thank you to all the staff who made the vacation even more special. These include: Vaneesha, Ramesh, Kiran, Itoo (Avinash), Pamela, Gopal, Vada, Shakoon - in no particular order. Well done to each of you. You are great. Well done to Jean-Marc for your work in this hotel to keep this standard and to continue its path to further success. GaryMore
We are just finishing a two week holiday and can only talk about the great time we have had. The hotel and location is perfect for a 'get away from it all' holiday. The style of the hotel is very different crafted in weathered teak and stone with well designed and manicured grounds. The staff are exceptionally and friendly and we want to call out Davisen in the Italian restaurant, Sheila and Karine for all their help at breakfast, Subash, and Ougesh as the best beach waiter ever!! However we all agree that the staff at this hotel are very well organised and together as a team and will do everything they can to make your holiday as stress free as possible. Mauritius has a lot to offer with its multicultural visitors and our day outside of the hotel was rewarded with seeing a Hump Back Whale on his travels in the Indian Ocean as well as dolphins and monkeys in their own environments. Thank you all at Long Beach for making our holiday a great experience!!More
Lovely 5 day stay
We came to Mauritius only for 5 days for our friends' wedding ( the wedding was in a different hotel) . Long beach hotel was perfect for peace and relaxation . It is set on a beautiful beach ( we snorkelled off the beach and saw a lot of different fish including a lion fish and a few box fish) . The island is not so big so you can easily take tours anywhere from the hotel. The food and drinks at the hotel were good . More
Where the sea is turquoise
The hotel and landscape are superb. Good quality service, food and beautiful facilities. You can expect to receive a quick reply to your questions and needs. Good sport enviroment altough needs more scheduled activities. Beautiful pools and easygoing access to the beach. The offer of sea sports is high and affordable. Nice atmosphere at night smart and correct. You are never bored there. People at the restaurants were very friendly and Staff people such as Dolores, Maria, and Stephan are really customers orientated. A higher offer of shops would be a plus and also a bit more diverse food offer. Internet somedays have a bit of trouble. Highly recommendableMore
We spent 3 nights at the Long beach, with my husband and our two year old. Its our second time staying at Belle Mare, first one being at LUX. Now, the hotel itself isn't anything as luxurious as LUX was, but I totally enjoyed our experience there! Best part of the resort is, of couse, beach...best one I've seen so far! White sand, lots of sunbeds, and a perfect place to swim for kids. We've only visited the main pool, and that was amazing, too. I loved their beach towels, spotlessly white, and smelling fabulous all day long! Beach service was a nice little touch, too, always fast and efficient. Food...OMG, the food was the best I ever had at the resorts! Always fresh and plenty of choice. My favorite restaurant was by far the chinese one, its to die for!!! We went AI, and did book japanese HASU for supper. My personal opinion - avoid. Service was great, food was disappointing, definitely not worth paying extra for. Cocktail bar, seafood, buffet - fabulous. Room was ok, some stains on a furniture, but all in all very clean. My only disapproval is of the bed for my son - it was horribly firm and impossible to sleep on, so he ended up in our bed. GREAT kids club, our son was actually crying and didn't want to leave! Reception was the most disappointing part of the hotel for me, with no one attending to you for ages, coffee tables being stained and decorators painting and doing repairs during the day. But it is way out, and as you step further, the resort just keeps giving. Definitely recommend!More
