With an infinity pool, top-class restaurants and cut-above rooms, this place has the edge when it comes to luxury. It’s in a standout beachfront setting, too.
As you’d expect from the name, this place is pulled up against a long – almost a kilometre – stretch of sugary sand. It’s got a village feel, with 5 restaurants and 3 pools fanning out from an Italian-style piazza.
Rooms are design-mag stylish, and include king-size beds, huge flatscreen TVs and iPod docks as standard. They all come with Indian Ocean views, too.

Great resort, great staff, excellent food
Stayed here for a fortnight in May, all inclusive with TUI in a beach front room. Resort is really nice, staff are all very friendly at all times and food is great. Having stayed 5* in Tenerife before and food there being awful tourist rubbish, the quality of the food at Long Beach really was stand out great. Spa also very nice and had some good value decent offers on. Beach beautiful and location also good. Management also gave us a really nice meal for our anniversary night. A couple of things to flag - menus felt a bit penny pinching at times with some things that you'd expect included that weren't. Suggest management sort this. Same comment on the cocktails. Rooms very nice, though no privacy in the bathrooms as they don't have doors. Depends how intimate you like to be but I personally don't like my girlfriend watching me do a number two. One for management to perhaps consider. Otherwise, all great, 5*. Thanks. Also, top tip, TUI (Thomson, First Choice) seem broadly much cheaper than Virgin and Kuoni for booking this resort. More
Fantastic friendly resort on a paradise island!
Myself and my partner stayed at Long Beach from the 6th - 13th May and we arrived just at the right time weather wise. The previous weeks weather had involved the back end of a cyclone but we arrived just as this passed and were filled with sun most of the time. May is the start of winter in Mauritius but don't let that put you off, temperatures never dropped drastically, always t-shirts and shorts weather, there is the odd downpour but thats to be expected and it's generally over within 10-15mins. Long Beach is a fairly new resort on the island's east coast, having only been there for about 2 years. The east coast is windier than the west and there is a constant sea breeze but never cold, I found it quite refreshing on the beach. The beach is beautiful and sandy with clear blue waters and a lot of coral which is great for the free snorkelling trips that are run twice a day from the hotel. You can also windsurf, sail on a funboat or catamaran and take out a kayak all free of charge. The beach team are very friendly and a big thank you to our friendly beach bar man Nitesh who kept us well fed and watered whilst we relaxed on the beach. The resort has 5 restaurants to choose from (including the buffet). Each has it's own theme and all of them offer a good range of food. We were all inclusive (which I highly recommend doing!!) so we tried them all and enjoyed them all equally too. The food is of a good standard and especially at breakfast there is a huge variety available. The rooms are well appointed and have all the amenities you'd expect of a 5 star hotel. We were in a beach front room which had great views onto the beach and are quieter than the other standard hotel room areas so would definitely recommend the upgrade. What makes this hotel though is the staff who are all so friendly, personable and looking to do their best to help you in any situation. As well as Nitesh we were also well looked after by Antish in the tides restaurant and Souvidha the F&B concierge who looked after our arrangements every evening. Staff remembered our names and always greeted us with a smile, I'd like to thank them for helping make our holiday that little more enjoyable every day. The staff at the hotel give you a good taste of Mauritius as well as we found everyone on the island to be very friendly and this vibe is continued throughout the hotel. Even prior to our arrival the staff were able to help as I wished to arrange some in room flowers and a surprise dinner on the beach for my partner which Souvidha very kindly arranged for me in advance. We booked our trip through Kuoni and chose an all inclusive package which allows you to fully enjoy the resort at a very reasonable price. We made use of the Kuoni resident rep who booked 2 excursions for us, one was a 2hr quad biking safari in the mountains and the other was a 5hr taxi tour guide across the island, both were incredible and worth every penny. Overall we have had a fantastic holiday on this paradise island in a great resort. The only real improvement we would mention to the hotel is that even though the hotel is only 2 years old there are a couple of signs of wear and tear which would benefit from some higher level of maintenance going forward. I would definitely recommend this hotel for couples and families. Even when the resort gets busy you always have plenty of space and freedom due to its size and families can make good use of the on site kids club if desired. Thanks again to Long Beach & it's staff. We will definitely be recommending to our friends and we may indeed be back in the future!More
The perfect Honeymoon
I have been meaning to write this review for a while, we visited this beautiful hotel last year in September for our honeymoon. I did voice some concerns which were dealt with quickly. The hotel itself is gorgeous, the pool bar and restaurant staff were lovely. They made our stay even more amazing.More

Average - not 5 star
We visited this hotel between April and May 2017 for a special birthday. I really wanted to be blown away by this holiday and on first impressions I was. Although a lot of us arrived at the same time check in was very organised and seem less. Room was well appointed with great toiletries which were replaced daily (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, shower cap, nail file, cotton wool pads, ear buds and a free standing magnifying mirror- hoorah for my eyesight!) Room was kept clean and was decorated on day of birthday which was a nice surprise. Bath robes and slippers were also available. Food in restaurants was excellent and really good quality with lots of choice. All the staff were so friendly and helpful from the maids, bar staff, gym, gardeners and waitresses / waiters. Could not do enough for you. The downsides for me and the reason I wasn't blown away; Some of the furniture is tired, chipped paint, rips in sun beds with staining. Flies everywhere in restaurants and no solution for capturing them, which was really annoying whilst trying to eat. The location of the hotel is quite remote and the taxi driver suggested not leaving the hotel at night. There are a couple of bars off the beach about a 5 to 10 minute walk but they aren't in a location I would want to spend an evening. We were unfortunate to have an anti-cyclone during our stay and although you can do nothing about the weather this flagged the downside of the hotels location. Taxi tides were expensive unless you could find someone to share with and all the hotel entertainment was geared up for nice weather so unless you enjoy the bar or gym all day it felt like ground hog day. It really is a shame that the hotel doesn't have an indoor pool connected to the spa where you could relax on days like this. This holiday cost us a lot of money and I'm afraid it wasn't the paradise I was hoping for. Would I recommend hotel? yes if you get a deal but definitely not if full price Would I return to Mauritius and this hotel? No In my opinion there are better places to visit in Europe without the long haul flight and hefty holiday cost.More
The only hotel you feel like in Florence in Mauritius. My preferred hotel in the East coast - the very private coast where are located all luxury hotels in Mauritius. You will not believe it, but Golf is FREE both in Four seasons and Iles aux Cerfs, kids are FREE in ALL-INCLUSIVE and smiles are FREE...More
