Hotel Flamingo Oasis

A prime Benidorm address and top entertainment put this place in pole position.

This hotel has location on its side – there are shops, bars and restaurants just across the way and Levante beach is 15-minutes’ walk from here.

The pool scene is highly rated, which is partly down to a big lagoon pool. The bar count totals 4, and lots of thought has gone into the entertainment, with things like West-End style shows.

We recently stayed 11 nights in the Flamingo Oasis we had 2 kids aged 6 & 4 and had a great family holiday... we were unsure before we went with all the bad reviews but they reviews were forgotten the momnet we arrived, the hotel is spotless, the hotel staff are friendly, the entertainment team are fab and keep you amused most of the day. We think overall this hotel is superb and will most definitely be returning.More

Great Feb Break!

Visted here back in Feb! We loved it.Hotel is very clean , lots of friendly staff nothing is too much trouble for them. The room we stayed in was lovely and clean overlooking the pool although back then they were refurbishing the pool. We found the buffet restaurant was excellent with so much choice everyday and it was open through out the day. The entertainment is the best i have seen! but i think it is quite repetitive overall great holiday and will be going back!More

100% awfull

I havnt visited benidorm for a long time but remember it being family friendly. We booked this hotel very last minute as we wer due to go to tunisia.. The wait in reception to get the photk key card was shocking. I couldnt believe they had such and awfull system, they told me its just the way its been done since thwy opened we waited almost 2 hours before getting our room key woth 2 very tired children.. rooms are a great size 2 beds 2 sofas cot etc... no fridge we had to pay 22€ to have one to store the babys milk, the shower didnt work infact the handle had broken off, the staff are great and got it fixed but then still its a trickle of water. The smell from the drains is vile!! The food is disgusting unless u want to live on nothing but bread fruit and pasta because the rest looked unedable we spent a small fortune eating out! The pool is awfully cramped you might if your not up at 7am for a sunbed u have no chance.. the pool is even packed people not a care in the world jumping in on u etc we tried to pay to use a hotel near by or the reps offered us to use a sun terrace which had no pool but with a 1 and 6yr old thats no good!! The evening entertainment was ok. The plastic chairs no tables lay out is awfull... the entertainments team ask the children up on stage to play games but then they have to stay down the rest of the evening which is confusing for little ones it qould be much better if the just done the games on the ground!! The snack bar is awful. The whole expirence was awfull i wouldnt even say benidorm was family friendly anymore with sticky vicky on from 9.30 and prs pestering you to buy drugs! We will not be returning to flamingo oasis or benidorm!+ More

Lorna R,

2 weeks stay 7th to the 21st

We stayed at the flamingo oasis as a family of 5. We had room 115 which we found perfectly spacious and extremely handy being on the 1st floor with views overlooking the mountains. Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Food we thought was really good and plenty of choice for all. I would like to thank the restaurant manager for being so helpful and providing my coeliac son his gluten free bread daily. He ate so well the two weeks we were there and I would say Benidorm was the best place I've ever been to cater for coeliacs, so clued up 👍🏻 We met lots of really nice families and there was some really good bars across the road. Tropical is a fab bar with some ace tribute acts if you fancied a change. We had some good day trips out. Weather was fantastic the whole 2 weeks. Only downfall I would say was the card system rather ten a band. I found it really inconvenient having to carry around everyone's cards constantly and found the rules regarding 2 drinks per person and 1 per child quite annoying. At the end of the day you've paid for all inclusive and if a family of 5 want drinks it means going up on 3 separate occasions and rejoining the queue to get them, which is quite annoying. We did see people getting cup trays filled up with at least 8 drinks so unsure why it was ok for them. At the end of our holiday the hotel seemed to really fill up and the queues for the restaurant got extremely big and the same for the bars so I can only imagine this meant getting drinks became a more lengthy wait. Also snack bar food was not allowed to be taken back to your sun loungers. I've never been anywhere where this has been a rule, but thought maybe it was about cleanliness around the poolside so it didn't bother us greatly but the snack area was not big enough to get all people seated to eat. Last real thing I would say needs addressing is the smoking . To me they seemed quite strict with rules which is never a bad thing I suppose, but I do feel designated smoking areas are needed. To not allow a few chicken nuggets by the side of the pool but then allow people to flick hot fag ash and ends doesn't make sense. At night time I found the smoking a bit of an issue as the chairs are very close together (tables are defiantly needed) So if you get a smoker sat close (some are polite and move, but others not so polite ) you were sat in a puff of smoke which isn't nice if you don't smoke. Overall we had a really lovely holiday and the entertainment I thought was excellent. Loved the shows dirty dancing, Disney and the Michael Jackson show . We met some really nice families and if I was to return to Benidorm again I would defiantly choose flamingo oasis. Thanks for a fab holiday 😊More

Good hotel for 4 star but some complaints

We stayed at this hotel for 11 days and recently just got back, on arriving we were first in the check in queue so only took 5 mins which was good!! Yes the lifts are a pain, particularly if you are on floors lower than 10 because when they get to you they are full, some days it's ok and others it's ridiculous. The rooms are so clean and I believe have been recently refurbished so really really nice rooms with air con and we had a pool view. However one day I went into my room to find someone else's card in the electricity slot by the door(someone had entered accidentally) .. Turns out anyone was able to get into our room because the door wasn't yet configured which was a massive security breach. Sunbeds are a nightmare no matter what time you get up, it's like the hotel have crammed as many people as possible so even when you have a space you have no space to move as there are so many people around you. Also you aren't allowed parasols unless you get the first come first served ones already fitted into the ground. The entertainment is one of the best I have ever seen, in the day they have many activities such as Aqua gym water basketball volleyball.. The last day was one of the best they set out two teams within the hotel and we all played against each other which was absolute carnage but lots of fun! they try and get you involved in everything, there's kids club 3-5 and in the nights they have shows and games.. Very enjoyable for everyone! I saw a lot of complaints about the food, for me I thought the variety was endless.. There was something for everyone and different everyday and of course really tasty! Snacks go on until midnight and There's also a pool bar that serves food 12-6 but you aren't allowed out of that bar. You MUST have your picture cards on you at all times no matter how many times you've seen the staff or you won't be served a drink and sometimes the queues are really long, children are only allowed 1 drink at a time and adults 2 which was a bit of a pain. You have to pay for some alcoholic drinks but there's strongbow on top which is a massive bonus!! The hotel is spotless, most of the staff are really friendly and lovely however 1 or 2 are very rude and miserable, I paid 15€ for wifi for a week and 4 of those days it didn't work. You also have to pay for the remote for the room, a fridge and safe. All in all I had an amazing time but for me it was way too packed, it's very much a family hotel though.. I don't think couples would enjoy it ! :-) More
