Hotel Flamingo Oasis

A prime Benidorm address and top entertainment put this place in pole position.

This hotel has location on its side – there are shops, bars and restaurants just across the way and Levante beach is 15-minutes’ walk from here.

The pool scene is highly rated, which is partly down to a big lagoon pool. The bar count totals 4, and lots of thought has gone into the entertainment, with things like West-End style shows.

Thank goodness we went club class

Returned home Sat after 2 weeks Club. Club class is floors 21, 22, 23 and 24 for adults only. Club entitles you access to adults only roof top pool with bar which is beautiful as well as room on floor 24 with free bar. Both bars have branded spirits but partner says beer not too good. You also have own dining area. Found food ok but chose to have a couple of breakfasts elsewhere, Entertainment ok but loved rock and roller bar opposite. Swipe cards were a pain as needed for top floors so embarrassing when would not work in packed lift and this led to many trips up and down with us swiping repeatedly before floor 21 finally lit up. Then we had to go through same fiasco to get in door. Easy to get to beach area or old town on bus 1, 10 or 11. Bus stop 2 mins to left when come out of hotel. Tried to use the little train to get to old town along road parallel to levante beach and went in the right direction for a time. We were then a bit suprised when the driver took a left turn and drove along Levante beach in the opposite direction and then up the mountain, which was quite nice but unexpected. Also 36 degrees so very hot so take a bottle of water. Staff seemed nice and rooms and facilities also nice. Only real complaints we heard were about swipe keys and on our last morning we saw people queuing from 7am for the sun bed run which is a rediculous way to relax on holiday! We only spent half an hour by the downstairs pool area during the day (in the shade) and we could not wait to get back up to our comfy sun beds on the roof. Even with club facilities I feel this holiday was a bit overpriced - an expensive 4 star for Club class and possibly a 3 star for floors below. Market close by on weds and Sunday's. Don't fall for find the pea in potato trick. They let you see pea, one of gang win, when you play, pea is in his hand- that's why police chase them. Overall loved this holiday due to brilliant weather and loving Benidorm anyway but I think if we hadn't been Club, we would have been chatting to our lovely reps about moving to another hotel. More

Julie M,

food was not the best and the 'Run' for a bed in the morning was ridiculous ,entertainment was great.

There are many positives and negatives about this hotel The room was okay and the location of the hotel was great as it was not completely in the centre of the craziness, but was just a short walk away from the beach and bars. The location is great as there are many restaurants facing the hotel, which we visited a lot as the food was not great. Unless you had money to be eating out every night i would not recommend this hotel. The food was okay for breakfast but other than that there was not much variety and it was disgusting. The fact that it was like a race of a morning to get a bed was ridiculous, the staff would shout go and people would have to carry a bed and put a towel on it, which was not great for anyone who had a bad back and had to get 7 beds like a member of my family had to every morning. Many items went missing from the rooms such as a few pairs of my little sisters shoes. Although the entertainment was great, and there was many different activities throughout the day and different shows of a night, the entertainment staff were great and encouraged everyone to get involved. The hotel was very clean and had a big pool which was great.More

Fred M,

Not what it says on the tin!

This hotel has many good and bad points. First the good, it is very modern, clean, spacious with great facilities. The pool area is lovely and there is always plenty of activities going on to keep you from getting bored. Now the bad points. The staff are the most miserable I've ever come across with the exception of one or two, the food although having a large selection isn't fitting to feed your dog. Getting a sun bed in the morning requires you to be prepared to fight the other guests as it is simply left for you to get your beds from a stacked pile and battle your way into finding a spot that isn't blocked from the sun due to the many high rise buildings all around you, on many a morning guests were bickering and on one occasion fighting over this. The room cards lose their codes everyday down to the maids master key so therefore you need to get reception to re code them everyday (an un necessary pain) You can only get 2 drinks at a time from the bar which was no good to us as we were in a party of 8! And the worst of all is the silly rules this hotel expects you to abide by, we were constantly being told off by staff over very menial things which left us feeling like school children, a couple of examples are, they sold me a lilo from their on site shop but I wasn't allowed to use it in the pool and also my friends 18 month old son was ejected from the pool due to him wearing a t shirt to protect his skin from the heat, unbelievable but true, The list goes on and on and considering our 11 nights cost best part of £5000 I felt very frustrated most of the time! On a positive note the reps work tirelessly to ensure your involvement and perform a very professional and well rehearsed show every night, hats off to them! I think this hotel is clinging on to its 4 star rating and expect a change soon. Lee from Dartford!!!More
