Hotel Flamingo Oasis

A prime Benidorm address and top entertainment put this place in pole position.

This hotel has location on its side – there are shops, bars and restaurants just across the way and Levante beach is 15-minutes’ walk from here.

The pool scene is highly rated, which is partly down to a big lagoon pool. The bar count totals 4, and lots of thought has gone into the entertainment, with things like West-End style shows.

An average hotel - not worth the extra walking distance to the beach.

Having taken just under 2 hours to check in at the hotel (to get your all inclusive photo picture cards), after an 8 hour journey to the hotel, our defences were up from the start. 24 hours in we had to change rooms as there was a floor 8 drain blockage and our room stunk of sewerage. Our new room was fine apart from the fact our room was always approx 27 degrees C even with the air con on which was too hot. Got the engineer to check the air con and we were told it was fine. Food average. Never seen Kebab on the menu as much anywhere. Having stayed at the Coma Gran in Majorca which had an excellent kids club, the kids club here was poor. Daytime kids club had no outside activities at all. No evening kids club unless you pay. Even the evening disco was a joke with the same 3 tunes played every night (as the disco and evening entertainment was run by the hotel). Overall we chose to stay at this hotel because of the Thomson run kids club despite it's distance from the rock free part of Levante beach. I would not stay at this hotel again and that probably says it all. I would get a hotel closer to the rock free part of the beautiful beach.More

Going downhill

I stayed at the flamingo oasis with my extended family, returned home last Tuesday 1st July , can not fault food, entertainment, rooms etc , animation team were fab, great shows, only probenecid was the children running riot going up & down in lifts on there own, so waited ages, also there was an anniversary day for 15 years when we were there, where the hot gave away a weeks holiday to a quiz winner, so everyone thought after the young lassie was presented with her prize, only after speaking to her the night she was leaving, we discovered it was only 1 night, it is disgusting how a hotel that big can make everyone think they are generous, we talked about it to other guests ' they all said the same, hotel will lose a few guests over it ,More

Best holiday!

I had the most amazing time at the hotel in late June. Rooms were spotless, large and had an amazing view and delightful balcony. The food was great in my opinion and had a huge variety. Staff were superb. Entertainer were also fantastic and full of energy. They also held fantastic shows every night. I wasn't expecting much when we booked this holiday but it exceeded all my expectations and more. Last year we went to a hotel complex in Tunisia, also with Thomson, expected a lot for the price, was horrendous - no entertainment, to rough to leave hotel, staff were hideous it was a hotel and holiday from hell so I was reluctant to book with Thomson again. This however exceeding my expectations and more. There were only two minor bad points to the visit - on the coach for the arrival transfers it was delayed awaiting further passengers for two hours which was not great for the families with kids - it further didn't help when the Thomson rep - a plump woman gave a disrespectful attitude towards us as passengers. The second, we had booked a Dolphin experience at the local animal park (walk away) with another Thomson rep at the hotel and paid, went the following day to the park to be told they were full and we had to come back at 7pm. We informed the rep at our hotel who we had booked with (didn't really matter to us time wise as we had no plans) she informed us she was furious and offered us champagne (we didn't take it as we weren't really complaining just noting for others) and when we returned later to the experience we got extras and special treatment with apologies. Im only mentioning this as the lovely lady rep who was at the hotel really went out of her way and gave incredible service to make our holiday amazing, I thought she was excellent. At the Tunisia resort the reps theres just did not care about anyone/anything. Anyway, everything was superb and fantastic and we cant wait to return! I must also point out on the comments on here about children - most attend during the school holidays so if this is an issue don't attend when schools out if it bothers you. Also with the lift situation yes there can be a queue its a 25 floored hotel - just avoid peak times - these seemed to be 10am (breakfast) and around 7pm. Theres also lots to do outside the hotel which included a water park, zoo, beach, shops, clubs, restuarants and bars all in walking distance, you don't get pestered like in many other places either. Oh and you don't have to worry about grabbing a sunbed! Theres plenty! As well as a kids club and an arcade/games room, indoor pool and gym. Can't compliment my experience enough! Thanks for having us!More
