This sleek seafront hotel has 5 pools and direct access to one of best beaches in Majorca.
Minimal and modern are the first words that spring to mind when it comes to the Ferrera Blanca. Outside, it’s all white walls and blue-tinted glass. The bedrooms are just as contemporary and come with a balcony or terrace.
The hotel has 5 swimming pools set in well-tended gardens, and leads right onto the golden sands of Cala Ferrera beach. It’s also got 2 restaurants and a theatre bar.

We were really looking forward to returning to this hotel, we also went in April 2014. Unfortunately we were disappointed with some aspects this time. Firstly they forgot to mention there is a massive building site opposite the hotel, which is building work related to the hotel, if you are given a room with a balcony facing this enjoy the drilling and banging! As we had booked directly with the hotel it was certainly within there power to inform us, as we were also returning customers they could also have avoided giving us possibly one of the worst rooms in the hotel, a room with no curtains in the children sleeping area, a fully enclosed balcony allowing, little or no sun at all and to top if off a room facing the delightful building site!!. Secondly the amazing tennis court and football pitches are now the main focus of the building site! The have been demolished and are being replaced by a splash area for children, note the hotel already has 4 adequate swimming pools, but now nowhere to play tennis or football, one of the main reasons for re booking this hotel was for these sports areas, our two boys really enjoyed playing football, especially if it is a little too cold to swim all day! Also due to these areas no longer existing, some of the activities that were on offer last year are no more, i.e. archery and shooting, because there isn't any space. We managed to get our room changed, but moved to a room on the top floor with a huge air conditioning unit on top that made a constant noise, couldn't be bothered to move again and cause ourselves more disruption. The only thing that hasn't changed is the helpfulness of the waiting staff and entertainment team, they are fabulous with the children. We would not stay here again.More
Visited this Hotel on a last minute deal. Arrived at the Hotel late at approx 1am. We hired a car as it was cheaper than the transfer costs. The journey was easy, it took about 45 minutes, we used Google maps which took us straight there, and parked directly at the front of the Hotel. Checking in was easy, the reception staff are all very courteous and polite, gave you a small booklet with the meal times a map of the complex and another map of Cala D'or, generally all your needed info is info this booklet - however we fancied a glass of wine before bed after the long journey, and everything was closed (will grab a bottle at the airport next time) Cork screw in the room. Room was a good size with a view over the small pool - we had a suite. Kettle, tea and a snack laid out for us (no coffee?) Room had an iron and ironing board, Free wifi, hydro shower, TV had BBC1 BBC2 ITV and C4. Meals were Ok - They had lactose free milk and sugar free juices. Generally the usual for an AI holiday. Waitresses were all very good. There is a snack bar below the restaurant too that's open lunch time Outside the restaurant the entertainment was displayed clearly. Above the restaurant was a quiet sun lounger area, great views of the beach and bottom pool (this is not mentioned anywhere) If you fancy a bit of quiet- it's perfect. Not all Alcohol drinks are included but the beer was fine. And wine was ok. Cleaners done a good job everyday. Hotel was spotless. We didn't have any children but the animation team were so energetic and jolly - the best I've seen. The hotel is laid out like a small complex with roads running through it, several different blocks, but very quiet and safe -however, it was out of season. Weather was good so we went out and about - a quiet area. Rebeca on reception was always very helpful. You pay a deposit for pool towels which is returned to you when you check out. Would definitely return, may go back this year in the summer. Lovely hotel, lovely staff, well orgsnised, clean and we'll kept and great VFM. More

We had a great all inclusive holiday here over Easter. The rooms are very clean and modern and the shower is AMAZING! The food was very varied and all very lovely, I am a very fussy eater but never failed to get something I enjoyed and the kids were very well catered for too, my husband loved the buffet style and always went back for more! Drinks options included are great and the kids got lovely fruit juice cocktails and a never ending supply of ice-cream while having lots of fun at the pool. The beach which is a 2 minute walk is stunning also set in a beautiful cove so was very secluded. All the staff were so nice and friendly but have to make a special mention to the animacion team who are amazing and very hard workers, they literally made our holiday. They were always going around letting everyone know what was going on and getting the kids involved, they even had fun games for the adults! They went above and beyond with the kids and even managed to bring my 4 year old totally out of her shell as she can be very shy but by the end of our week she was off having so much fun with them as was my 8 year old. They also provide the evening entertainment which varied from a dance show to quizzes to a disco/karaoke. We had so much fun that we are planning our return visit already! More

We have just returned from a weeks stay and had a fantastic holiday. We travelled with our 2 children aged 6 and 13 and we all enjoyed it. Staff - the staff are all friendly and very good with the children. Rooms - we were very happy with our room. We overlooked the pool where the entertainment was, this wasn't a problem as the bar closed at 11.30. The room was cleaned daily with clean towels provided. We had a lovely large balcony. The bathroom was really nice and the shower was amazing. Food - we all enjoyed the food, breakfast was really nice and a wide selection to choose from. We went to the snack bar at lunch and the main restaurant in the evening, the Mexican night was our favourite. Entertainment- the entertainment team were fantastic, the shows were really good and the staff were very talented. Overall we had a great holiday and would definitely go back. The only negative is that the pools were too cold and out of season they should have at least one heated pool. We went to the beach most days as the sea was warmer for swimming.More
We stayed at Ferrera Blanca apart-hotel from 10-14 April 2015 and loved every moment of it!! Upon arriving at reception, we were quickly and efficiently checked in. Biscuits, water and champagne awaited us in the lobby which was a nice touch. The receptionist explained to us that we had the option of renting a safety deposit box and beach towels, at a fee of around 3 Euros per day and 10 Euros for beach towels, which you could change daily. These fees were refunded at the end of the stay. There are no lifts to the room blocks at the hotel but as we stayed in Block 14, room 205 this wasn't a major issue, although we did have a few problems finding our room. On entering, we found the room to be very spacious and comfortable. Our room, labelled a junior suite, consisted of a living room area with sofa, fridge, plasma TV with satellite/UK channels and a small table and chairs.Air conditioning was available, although it didn't work, but as it was April it wasn't really required. The bathroom was large with a good open shower and hairdryer. The hairdryer wasnât great so if, like me, you have unruly locks I suggest you bring your own! We had a separate bedroom with 2 single beds pushed together. Ok, the beds and pillows were quite hard and weren't the comfiest in the world, but a good night's sleep was always had ;) The wardrobe space was larger than most and there was also an iron available and a full length mirror. The rooms were cleaned daily with towels changed everyday and were spotless, although a little tired. Just a word of warning, the full length mirror was the weirdest one I've ever encountered, as it caused us both to each gain at least 10 pounds!! However, this may have been a blessing in disguise as these disturbing images may have helped us not to overeat at the A/I buffet;) The balcony was big and quite private, but unfortunately didn't have a view to speak of except of a street, some shrubbery and several workmen who were working at building works across the street. This could be quite noisy at times, as could the evening entertainment, but this didn't spoil our holiday in anyway. We stayed on an AI basis, which we were a bit dubious about as it was our first time ever doing so. It was great and met all of our expectations!! Two restaurants were available, the buffet and an Italian, cafe style restaurant. The buffet opened for lunch and also dinner in the evening and was always a pleasant dining experience. There was little differentiation between lunch and dinner, with full three course meals offered at both mealtimes. You were seated by a waiter and then helped yourself to the buffet food on offer. If you were lucky enough to get a seat by the window, the views over pool and beach were lovely. We ate at the Italian restaurant one evening, where there was table service for drinks and food, offering a small selection of âItalian styleâ dishes, plus unlimited pizza and garlic bread. My partner, who is a real pizza monster, loved the pizza and I too found it very nice. I had spaghetti bolognaise, which was perfectly adequate, with my partner enjoying spinach cannelloni! However we preferred to dine in the buffet style restaurant, which seemed more of a dining experience and offered a better selection of meats, fish, pastas, potatoes, salads, ice-creams and desserts. There were also options for children, such as chips, pizza, chicken nuggets etc. Each evening, there was a different theme which, whilst we were there, was Italian, Spanish and Asian. Drinks were obtained personally at a small bar area and proper glasses, as opposed to plastic cups in the daytime, were used in the evenings for wines, beers and soft drinks. If you were still hungry after all this foodfest, snacks were available between lunch and dinner, which mainly consisted of a few buns/pastries and soggy sandwiches, which I wouldnât highly recommend! There were also unlimited lollyâs/ice-creams for the children which, although were not of the best quality, seemed to do the job for the kids. The beach was a 2 minute walk and was small and quite private, in April anyway. There were 2 pool areas; one livelier with activities for the children and the other across the road geared more towards adults and relaxation. We donât have children, but it was obvious to see that the entertainment team went down a treat with all of the kids and adults too! The team never stopped working morning until night with endless energy and fun and nothing seemed like too much trouble, with pool games, dancing, volleyball and darts etc to keep the older children entertained. The same for the waiting/bar staff, both in the restaurants, bars and in the evenings, customer service was truly A*, first class. There was good, lively entertainment each evening with table service for drinks. Judging by some wrapped in blankets shivering whilst watching the entertainment, some may have preferred this to take place indoors, but the cool air didn't bother me in the slightest. Entertainment ranged from cabaret dancing shows, zany Man Vs Women audience participation antics, with nightly bingo, offering a cash prize of a few hundred Euros won by an audience member each night. Several (albeit watered down) cocktails were on offer, which were very pleasant along with the usual local spirits, wines and a personal favourite of mine, a baileys replica "whiskey cream". We also discovered a rooftop terrace which really got the sun and was quite private and much quieter. There was a supermarket just across the road, which sold water, snacks etc with a few bars/restaurants in the immediate vicinity, most of which were closed in April. We walked the pleasant 10/15 minute walk into Cala Dâor on a few occasions, which was a very nice town with some good shops and bars/restaurants. Our stay in Ferrera Blanca was excellent value for money and we loved every minute; weâre are already planning when to go back, itâs only a matter of time! If youâre after an excellent value, fun but relaxing holiday in Cala Dâor and especially if you have children, 2-17, donât hesitate to book here!!!More
