This sleek seafront hotel has 5 pools and direct access to one of best beaches in Majorca.
Minimal and modern are the first words that spring to mind when it comes to the Ferrera Blanca. Outside, it’s all white walls and blue-tinted glass. The bedrooms are just as contemporary and come with a balcony or terrace.
The hotel has 5 swimming pools set in well-tended gardens, and leads right onto the golden sands of Cala Ferrera beach. It’s also got 2 restaurants and a theatre bar.

Keeps getting better
We returned for our second trip in September. We had the same block, as requested. The animaçion team has improved on last year, if that's possible, we couldn't have asked for more attention or fondness for our son which makes our holiday more relaxing. It was lovely to see last years faces in the rest of the staff and even seeing some of last years customers. Just goes to prove that this really is a hotel that looks after its clientele which is why they come back year after year. Thank you all. More
We stayed at this hotel this week and found it pretty average. Seemingly all the hotel in this beautiful resort are mostly the same. Me and my husband have been spoilt with Sensatori hotels and with this being a similar price we excepted something similar but it wasn't...... Rooms are basic but clean. Staff friendly and helpful, especially the waiters in the Buffett restaurant. Things within this hotels reach to improve.... Attention to detail, the hotel isn't dirty as such but you can tell the windows in the restaurants and the blinds haven't been cleaned in a while. Some of the chairs have drink split down the back of them. Food on the buffet is sometimes luke warm or quite cold- bulbs maybe need changing in the Bain Marie. Food choice is limited on buffet, not much veg on some nights we attended, one night was only corn on the cob- no other veg. Then other nights (last night) there was an amazing display of hot food and lots of veg and food choices. The Italian restaurant was poor. The waiters didn't offer or bring drinks often and you had to get up and ask for one. The lights are on full blast and no atmosphere at all. Food not great for the only "waitered" restaurant in the hotel. This hotel needs a few decent a la carte restaurants not just the one. Like I said we are used to the very high Sensatori's standards but I do feel for the money spent this hotel need to up their game as we have spent the same money but had a much higher standard of hotel. It needs updating with regards to decor and furniture to create a better ambience. This could be a top notch hotel and could easily be number 1 in Cala D'or. Location is fabulous, lovely staff, secluded bay with beach within a 5 minute walk away. Will definitely come back to Cala D'or but not sure whether back to this hotel. More
Just returned from a lovely week in the Ferrera and what a lovely week it was. Check in was fast and we opted for the sea view upgrade well worth it for the morning view. We booked private transfers and glad we did as some people took 2 hours to arrive I definitely didn't want that. The hotel is spotless and the rooms are very spacious, there are 4 pools and a splash pool which I would highly recommend for younger children the splash pool has a bar where there are burgers, hot dogs and chips and lots of ice cream and drinks including a slush machine. There were 2 other restaurants also and they always had something for you to eat and drink. There is a towel service for â¬20 which is refundable when you return them. I'd definitely recommend and will certainly return againMore
Another Good Mar Hotel
Mar Hotel standards on service, cleanliness and food are excellent - this was our 4th visit to their hotel group. Staff are helpful and very friendly. Food is very varied and offers something for all tastes. Kids will easily find something to eat. I just wish the guests wouldn't be so greedy and waste so much at all the meals! The room was named a suite but I think this could be misleading. It had a bedroom, bathroom, balcony and living area with another couch bed. We are a family of 4 with a 5yo and 1yo. I thought storage was really limited for 4 so did have to store things in the cases throughout. A bonus, we received the gold all inclusive bands due to the fact we booked directly with the hotel. This meant we could have branded alcoholic drinks instead of the local equivalents, not a necessity but nice. No matter what they say everyone leaves towels on the sun beds from early in the morning and in our entire stay I never seen one towel removed by the hotel. It is a necessity in the height of the summer to get to lie where you want. The hotel is close to a lovely beach but with the pram access isn't the easiest. You can walk into the main town of Cala d'or within 30 minutes. Also easy to walk to other beaches. We took the little yellow train around Cala d'or but queuing didn't really work and we didn't get on first attempt so we had to go early in the morning to make sure we got on next time around. There were restaurants, shops and bars within 5 minutes walk of the hotel which was ideal. We paid for a private transfer to and from the airport with car seats for the kids - it isn't cheap (+200euros) but definitely more comfortable, convenient and enjoyable than coach transfer. I would recommend this hotel.More
Staff here were a treat
All round pleasant staff everybody here was friendly with a smile and tried hard to please even though they worked very hard with long hours. Nice complex a little bit further from the main town than I thought but peaceful near two of the cala beaches (ie ferrera and esmeralda) and a few shops and restaurants. Used both restaurants and whereas the main one was fine for breakfast and lunch much prefered the Italian one of an evening where there was waiter service and the food was cooked fresh which you could use unlimited times. Preferred the drinks here too. As a vegetarian also found that we were well catered for. Also had a suite which I found very roomy for the two of us and loved the powerful showers provided. The entertainment wasn't the best I have ever seen but they too did long days. Particularly enjoyed the Spanish night and the Magician. Would I go again yes like a shot for peace and relaxation.More
