Minimal and modern are the first words that spring to mind when it comes to the Ferrera Blanca. Outside, it’s all white walls and blue-tinted glass. The bedrooms are just as contemporary and come with a balcony or terrace.
The hotel has 4 swimming pools set in well-tended gardens, and leads right onto the golden sands of Cala Ferrera beach. It’s also got 2 restaurants and a theatre bar.

Fantastic family hotel
If you are looking for a hotel with a bit of everything then this is the place. We went as a family of four (2 adults/2 kids). The journey from Palma was around 1 1/2 hours but I imagine this could be a lot quicker by taxi, we booked a coach drop off that means visiting several hotels en route for drop offs. The time of our trip was the October break - right at the end of the month. The weather was fabulous nonetheless with only one day that spoiled it. Other than that, the temperature was in the late 70's early 80's. The hotel itself is spread over a large area separated by a road, a small road at that with not a great deal of traffic. There are swimming pools everywhere so if you want a pool near your room you will be satisfied. The rooms were cleaned daily and were cleaned to a very high standard. Food wise - we did the all inclusive option. There was a wide range of different dishes and all very tasty. If nothing takes your fancy in the main restaurant, you can visit the Italian restaurant in the basement which also does absolutely brilliant pasta and pizzas at lunchtime. There was constant entertainment with the staff regularly encouraging everyone, parents and kids alike to join in for either water polo, volleyball, football, shooting etc etc. Added to this there is always something on for the younger children. At night, there is a show of some sort on including bingo and quizzes if you wish to join in. Downside to the holiday would be the time of year. Unfortunately the main town closes down as the end of October approaches, this includes restaurants. So if you are not all inclusive or half board you will struggle for choice but bear in mind its only at this time of year I imagine. To finish on a plus note, the hotel staff are fantastic. Their manner and constant happiness with the children is great to see especially in the restaurant of an evening. Special praise from us goes to the lady in reception who sorted out some trips for us that were pre-booked before the journey and then couldnt make it. We were handed a bag of fruit and cava twice by staff during our stay - they didn't have to do this but these little things make the difference. There is also free wifi at different parts of the hotel and depending where your room is, you'll have it in your room. All in all a fabulous stayMore

Family holiday October half term
We stayed for a week all inclusive for the October half term. My 6 year old son insisted I rate the hotel as 5. We had a really lovely week and paid 70 euros on arrival to upgrade to a superior room. The room location was superb our door opened onto the pool by the restaurant and a left turn took you down the steps to the beach. Our balcony was enormous and was handy when our friends came to see us one day. On arrival the cava and biscuits in reception is a very nice touch. The staff were all very friendly and made a real fuss of our son. One night he dropped a plate in the restaurant and was upset but they all told him not worry - it was a genuinely friendly and warm atmosphere there. The all inclusive was really worthwhile - my son loved the slush puppies and ice creams. My husband and I enjoyed the sangria and cava and the whisky cream which was like Baileys. The beer on tap was very good too. Food was very good - my husband and son enjoyed lots of meat and fish, as a vegetarian most nights there was a bit of choice only one night did I feel a bit limited. The chocolate fountain was a real hit for dessert as was the orange or banana ice creams - delicious. The entertainment team worked very hard and my son wanted to go to the kids activities every day once he had tried one session mid stay - they were just an hour long so I didn't feel like we were missing him too much. He really loved the tshirt making session and managed to persuade Andre to let him be the bingo caller one night - he did a great job and he loved doing it - thanks Andre! My husband and I tried the rifle shooting and had fun and my husband also did the volley ball and really enjoyed it. The beach was really lovely and clean and sheltered and the sea was warm enough for a pleasant swim - however a few days into the holiday there were a number of small jelly fish and some people did get stung. It took around 20 minutes to walk to the centre of Cala D'or which was a nice shopping area plus a street of restaurants that looked very nice. The marina was a further 5/10 minutes and that was a good place to sit with a drink and watch the world go by. Another good find was the go kart and inflatable Krusty the clown kids area on the road to the centre - it was open from around 5pm and was 3 euro for unlimited time on the bouncy castle and the electric go carts were 1 euro a go. it was a ten minute walk away which was fine. We will definitely consider coming back we had a relaxing and fun time - pat on the back to all who work at this friendly and clean hotel.More
Fantastic late break
Recently stayed here with my sister after finding an excellent deal online. Arrived at the airport in anticipation as neither of us knew what to expect. Transfer from the airport was about an hour but very scenic and we saw some lovely countryside on the way. Dropped at the door to the hotel which we immediately found welcoming with excellent reception staff explaining everything we needed, where our room was located etc. Room was very spacious, clean, huge terrace area, toiletries provided, comfy beds and an excellent luxury shower. We headed down for our lunch as we were all inclusive to find again staff were friendly and helpful, food was plentiful and hot. Lots of salad. Cakes for after etc. The surrounding area is a little cliché and tired but has a few shops and bars. Evening meals also excellent with plenty of choice and different themes most nights. The weather we had was really good for the time of year so we were lucky. Would definitely think of going again.More
It was an excellent accommodation for me and my family. The staff were friendly and the entertainment was good. Would definatly go there again. There was a good variety of things to do and if you didn't fancy staying in it had a range of things near by.More
Very good Place to Stay
I stayed here for my birthday in October and so was towards the end of the season but still a nice atmosphere in the place. The hotel is very very good and would be somewhere I would stay again. We stayed all inclusive and was very impressed with the food and service from the staff, as well as the room.More
