Aparthotel Ferrera Blanca

This sleek seafront hotel has 4 pools and direct access to one of best beaches in Majorca.

Minimal and modern are the first words that spring to mind when it comes to the Ferrera Blanca. Outside, it’s all white walls and blue-tinted glass. The bedrooms are just as contemporary and come with a balcony or terrace.

The hotel has 4 swimming pools set in well-tended gardens, and leads right onto the golden sands of Cala Ferrera beach. It’s also got 2 restaurants and a theatre bar.

Pleasant hotel but food really lets it down! !

We returned home 3 days ago from a short break at the hotel. We found the facilities pleasant and clean and the staff friendly enough but the food was terrible!!! I think opinions on food quality must be very much down to what is the norm at home. I like to cook so we have everything home made and brought fresh so what was on offer at the hotel in comparison to us seemed of poor quality. Breakfast we found to be ok but the lunch and dinner offerings looked inedible. We walked round the buffet restaurant twice and left without eating!! We tried the Italian "restaurant" on our first night and the carbonara I had was just pasta tossed in cream with the odd mushroom and tiny bit of bacon. My husband ordered what was called an escalope I believe, firstly two waiters didn't even know what the meat was!! When it came it was a piece of beef deep fried and frankly would have been more appropriately placed on a shoe sole as opposed to a plate. We grabbed a couple of slices of tired and crusted pizza from the lamps by the pizza oven to keep us going until we found a restaurant. One positive was the salads were fresh!! We would go back as the hotel facilities were good but we would take the b&b option.More

Fantastic Holiday!!

My friend and I stayed here for 5 nights in October. Realistically we could easily have done 2 weeks!! On arrival we were greeted with Champagne (Cava) and nibbles, which was a lovely start to our holiday. Reception staff were helpful and efficient. We were offered a upgrade at €50 which we decided to take. Glad we did as the room and view were amazing. The balcony also had sun loungers, received a bowl of fruit and a bottle of Bubbly!! Well worth the money. The hotel is really clean, though the bar lounge chairs are looking a little tired. Had no problem getting a lounger by the pool or on the beach, however it was coming to the end of season. Watched a couple of nights entertainment in the hotel and had a few cocktails all good stuff!! Visited a few local bars which were fine but spent most nights at 'Carabels' where We were entertained by a true Legend known as Filipe. I have never laughed so much in my life. Been back home a week and still smiling!!! It's a must!! The only down side was the food, though there was plenty of choice, it just wasn't hot enough. The Italian restaurant does do waiter service and the food is made to order, but a bit bland. I must admit I am a fussy and my friend thought it was fine. Overall a lovely location, dedicated staff and definitely returning next year.More

Dont go all inclusive

Arrived here 16th October for one week stay. On arrival we decided to upgrade to all inclusive at a cost of 45 euros per person per day, big mistake. The food can only be described as mediocre at best and in some cases inedible, complaints range from burnt boiled eggs in the buffet restaurant to microwaved liquid lasagna in the Italian restaurant. There are restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance of the hotel and all reasonably priced, you can easily eat breakfast, evening meal including drinks for less than 45 euro per day and the quality available is far superior to what the hotel has to offer. The hotel is built on a cliff face and there are plenty of ramps and stairs to navigate to get to beach and restaurant levels, so not really good for those with buggies or walking difficulties. Parents of under age girls should be made aware that the male members of the animation team showed much more than a passing interest in the girls, which i found quite offensive. Expect a 2 hour transfer time from hotel to airport unless you booked a taxi and not a coach. On a plus the hotel is very clean and the reception and restaurant staff are very helpful and professional. Summary.. there are much better all inclusive holidays available at lower prices with better food and amenities for kids.More

My baby & I loved it!

I travelled on my own with my 14 month old daughter and was a bit worried about the hotel, the food etc. They were extremely accommodating, made sure there was a baby bath and a travel cot in the room. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, the food was brilliant & for all inclusive there was wonderful variety with different nationalities of food each night so you never got bored. The hotel itself was clean and although not "posh" it was pleasant and maintained very well. Cleaners came daily and mopped floors, changed sheets & provided clean towels. The beach was lovely & clean, it's an enclosed cove so you can let kids play without worrying - water clear & shallow so great for little ones. I would go back & was very happy with the whole experience.More

Fantastic Hotel

Just returned from our first All Inclusive holiday and I can recommend this hotel to anyone. The waiters, bar staff were all so helpful and one of the cleaning ladies even carried one of our cases to the apartment. Cleanliness superb with service every day. the selection of food was brilliant as well with an Asian, Spanish and Mexican theme nights and with three restaurants there was so much choice All the entertainment was also good with the animation team always ready to make our holiday a good one .Thank you everyone. I feel we may have been spoilt having this as our first experience.More
