It’s the setting people like about this hotel – great views and a peaceful atmosphere come as standard.
The views always impress here. The hotel is in a wide bay, next to pebbly Albatros Beach. So from most rooms you can see cobalt water, a scattering of islands, and Dubrovnik in the distance.
Cavtat’s postcard-worthy old town is about a 15-minute walk. And on the days you’re staying put, there are indoor and outdoor pools, plenty of sports and a couple of great places to eat.

Like the Terminator "I'll be back"
Me and my wife spent a week here on an all inclusive basis. We are both 34 and we travelled just us with no children. First impressions were mixed to be honest, maybe due to being weary after traveling. We booked a standard room but as we were on our honeymoon the concierge made a more favourable room available for us and for this we were very grateful. I'm not Judith Chalmers so I have no idea what a 4 star hotel rating is based on. So, with that in mind I can only compare this hotel against other 4 star establishments I've stayed in and it certainly matches or surpasses those hotels. The best part of the hotel is the pool area, closely followed by 95% of the staff who in all manor of departments we're polite and attentive. Rooms are perfectly reasonable, we stayed in room 17 which was the opposite side to the pool but we could still see the sea, just. Free wifi is available throughout the complex so you can keep in touch and up to date with everything back home. The food morning, noon and night was to be expected, buffet style, average at best but choice was good. I can't pass judgement on the indoor pool, gym or excursions offered by the hotel as I didn't use them. If I had to be critical the soft drinks available on all inclusive Cola, Lemonade, Orange etc are virtually undrinkable, not nice at all. However the beer was fair, a Croatian beer which I could neither pronounce nor spell but made my decision to let my hair down more often than not all the easier. Nice walk into Cavtat from the hotel which will take 15-20 minutes. Boat trip into Dubrovnik is a must, take comfy shoes if you do go there as they love a step or 2. Would I come back? Yes. More
Beautiful area to visit.
We have never left a review before but after eight days here felt it necessary. There were numerous broken floor tiles around the hotel, flaking paint all around edge of the pool with mould in filter, empty plates, glasses (not always plastic!) and full ashtrays left around pool with no one in attendance to clear them. Adults often seen sitting in the children's pool with alcoholic drinks? Food was awful!! We have stayed in numerous hotels worldwide and this was the worst we have ever had. It was either extremely overcooked leaving it very hard to eat or not cooked enough and more often than not luke warm and very bland and basically the same choice daily. So much food was wasted due to people leaving their food as it was heard constantly that other guests felt the same. Note for guests on half board rather than all inclusive. You cannot buy draft beer with your meal it has to be a bottle, nor a carafe of wine it has to be by the glass and to top it all off nor a jug of water it had to be by the glass ... Tap water!!! We would NOT recommend this hotel.More
Good size bedrooms, clean hotel. Plenty of choice of food. Great poolside with plenty of shade available. Daytime entertainment team worked well. Evening entertainment was poor apart from a couple of nights when the same trio played. As there is not much near the hotel this is a shame. Many guests are all inclusive and the bar inside is only open at certain times and usually only one person serving.Bar staff never had enough change. Also not suitable for disabled as one flight of stairs cannot be avoidedMore
3 star hotel with 4 star prices. In desperate need of a a refurbish. Poor value for money
Disappointed with this hotel, dated and in need of a refurbish. Food is absolutely terrible. Poor quality and poorly cooked. We were AI but when arrived there was no suger free drinks included in the AI. Diet Coke had to be paid for. We knew we had to have locul drink on AI but it was undrinkable. Recommendation do not go AI it really isn't worth it. In fact do not go to this hotel you will be disappointed. Staff were inconsistent some friendly some grumpy. Some of the staff seem to be poorly trained in customer service. The kitchen staff are really grumpy, not happy in thier work at all. The restaurant is badly run, doesn't seem to be anyone incharged and it totally disorganised. The food was poor quality and badly cooked. The rooms were quite big with comfortable beds but really do need modernising. On the plus side the entertainment team were brilliant and if it wasn't for them been so good at their job I would rated this hotel two star. The location of this hotel is really good, lovey views and within easy reach of Cavat. A boat taxi to Dubrovnik is just outside the hotel and run regularly throughout the day. This is defiantly not a 4 star hotel but you will pay 4 star prices to go and stay there. The location we would go back to but we would not stay at this hotel againMore
Fantastic hotel in a beautiful resort
We recently stayed for 3 nights on half board at the Albatros but wish it was longer. It's a fantastic hotel. We arrived at the hotel around lunch time due to the early flight we had but had to wait until 2pm for our rooms. We had a lovely lunch across the road at a taverna by sea whilst we waited. When we got our rooms they were next to each other and with a nic side sea view. They were really clean with flat screen tv and a fridge. The safe box in the room is free. The wifi wasn't brilliant in the rooms but was perfect in the public areas of the hotel. We found the food to be tasty and with plentiful of choice. Arrive before 8 ideally in an evening as the food between 8-9 went a bit downhill as the end of service approached. There's good events not entertainment on the outdoor stage at night. The pool area is lovely, and is very spacious. There is a jetty across from the hotel with boat services over to Dubrovnik and it took an hour. Cavtat is such a gorgeous little resort too and was such a nice surprise. The staff in the hotel reception were friendly and helpful. We would absolutely recommend this hotel and can't wait to return but for longer next time!More
