The Melia Buenavista has snagged a whole trio of white-sand beaches. You won’t have to share them either, thanks to the away-from-it-all location.
The beach is the centre of attention at the adults-only Melia Buenavista. The property’s surrounded by sandy coves, so you’ll have no problem finding your own patch to stretch out on.
The diving is top-notch – don a mask and you can snorkel right off the beach. The highly-polished interiors mean looks is another thing this place has going for it.

Without going into all the details of why we continue to return to the MBV, I would refer readers to my prior postings. Staff and the service they provide guests continues to be a strength of the hotel. While there have been numerous changes in staff over the three and half years we have been patronizing the MBV, the consistent excellence of service from every employee we encounter is a testimony to the superior training and the commitment of employees. The setting and size of the MBV are perfect for those seeking tranquility. There is no disco, no blaring poolside music, no fighting over acquiring a beach chair and no children. (everyone needs to get away from the kids now and then!) Other reviewers have commented on the lack of food choices at the MBV: imho, management and staff are aware of the shortcomings in this area and are doing their best to improve the offerings. Of one thing we are certain: if clients want something, staff will provide it ... if it is available. The MBV continues to be our "go to" segunda casa. We feel fortunate to have found this peace of paradise three short years ago.More
What a wonderful place! This was the highlight of our recent trip to Cuba. We had travelled all around and had just three days to relax here. It was the perfect end to our holiday. The staff were so obliging, couldn't do enough to help us. The junior suite was sumptuous, immaculately clean and had a private balcony and outside private shower. The bed was made up and a towel sculpture left then turned down at night with another towel sculpture with flowers and petals. There is a spa, a butler service and even a pillow menu! The white sand beaches and turquoise sea with numerous fish which came in shallow so you didn't even need to snorkel. Although I am sure if you did, you'd see even more amazing sights. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for making our stay unforgettable.More

Wonderful peace, quiet, and relaxation with amazing service!
If you want rest and relaxation, with amazing service in an impeccably well-kept resort, this is the place to go. We have been here 5 times, and have enjoyed it more and more every time. The friendliness and attention to detail of everyone who works there is terrific. At the pool bar, Orestes, Osmany, Lester, and Laily, meet every need with a smile and warm greeting. They know us well enough to bring water when we need it; and champagne starting at 4 pm. They are the heart and soul of this resort. At the breakfast, Maria and Luis took good care of us. By the end of our first week, they ordered our breakfast as we walked in the door - such good care! Of special mention this time: my spouse got a flu bug; and the chefs made him special home made soup, and offered all kinds of food to help him recover. They were so thoughtful and helpful to us. Our butlers, Eric and Omar, were professional and courteous. The rooms, the grounds, the two pools, the three beaches, are all impeccably maintained; and wherever you go, everyone has a warm "hola" to greet you. There is no problem finding chairs to sit on wherever you go, because the resort is small and the guests all become known to each other. We will definitely return here for rest, relaxation, and wonderful service.More
True 5-star Resort
We visit Cuba every year and always try a new place and a hotel we never stayed in. But with Melia Buenavista itâs different. Everything we are looking for on vacation is in there. Weâll return again, and not just once. This 5 star, adults only resort is small and very peaceful. There are three beautiful beaches. The Cove Beach is the one with with a coral reef just off shore. It is a real paradise for snorkelling. Sunset Beach is amazing. With the best location on Cayo Santa Maria, you can observe the sun setting into the ocean. Every evening saxophone player plays at sunset while they serve you champagne⦠The third White sandy beach has the cleanest blue water on the island. The 2 pools are very relaxing with the main one a little more lively having a pool bar and music. But the best at MB is resortâs staff. They really know how to make you feel special there... at check-in, at the beach, at the pools, at the restaurants - every employee you see throughout the hotel greets you warmly with a smile and a "Hola!".More
My husband and I visit Cuba quite often and have stayed at many places. I have to say that our visit at Melia Buenavista was one of our favorite! Everything and everyone were so welcoming. The rooms were beautiful, the grounds very well kept, and very relaxing. We enjoyed all our meals and the service was always excellent. We would definitely return!!!More
