Family holiday June 2017
Please don't be put off by the poor reviews I was worried sick by the reviews and when we got there it was lovely place however hotel is a bit dated and does look like a prison block however rooms very spacious...we didn't have a kettle up on arrival and the hot water was very cool however a quick form we filled in at breakfast sorted that out we stated that water needed to be hotter and could of done with a kettle in room when we arrived back at room after tea they had giving us a kettle and we had red hot water fantastic service from the hotel staff.. very friendly staff go above and beyond to help and make sure you have a lovely stay at the hotel. Kiddies reps where all brilliant my 2 children age 6 and 10 did go to kids club and loved it 10 yr old didn't want to go at first but decided to go the last few days and loved it.. Food was nice different themes every night snacks around the pool where lovely or if you wanted you could go to the restaurant and get a bigger meal however we just snacked from the pool bar at dinner time.. free ice cream but slushes need to pay for.. Wifi is free in the hotel not the best but it's free and there's a lot of people logged up to there wifi so when it's slow you can understand why.. Overall we couldn't of asked for a better stay at this hotel would definitely return in futureMore
Not a great hotel
Well not sure where to start on this one the food is terrible being over 6 months pregnant I only managed to eat twice whilst here and even the others in our group couldn't eat the food one person was ill due to the food not being cooked properly . Be careful when you eat my partner found plastic and a stone in his food we reported it but they wasn't to bothered. The rooms are very basic and out dated to the point most of ours was broken and had cracks in the flooring and the glass in balcony door had dropped so unable to open it we had a generator outside our room which was very loud and so we couldn't sleep . The entertainment staff are amazing couldn't fault them always something going on with them they always had a game or something going on fabio and the team . Another thing that was annoying was the fact it's meant to be a family hotel yet there was stag do's for the whole 2 weeks we was there constantly making noise and generally being roudy and rude. Bit dated, nice location, poor food allergy info.
My friend and I stayed here for a week from 9th - 16th June and we had a lovely holiday. Our twin room was spacious but basic, rather dated and the beds were very hard. We went on an all inclusive basis and the food was generally very nice. However, my friend is allergic to both fish and nuts and it was rather hard to get enough information regarding the allergy information from the staff or the food labelling but we managed. The hotel does not police its own rules, and towels often appeared on sun loungers before 10am, even though there is a "no reservation" policy. All of the waiters/chefs/bar staff work very hard and but the hotel is clearly understaffed as this is reflected in their often stressed demeanour. The animation team are good fun and very enthusiastic and their evening entertainment had us in stitches. The staff at the "Meeting Point" trip booking staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is ideal for trips as there is a bus stop outside and the beach is within easy walking distance.More
just come back from staying at the isla bonita the hotel is good if not a funny lay out took some finding way about. the rooms are big living room bedroom and bathroom but a little outdated. the food is very good with lots of choice gets abit busy in the restarant there are too adults pool and two kids pools plenty of sunbeds the entertainment is ok a bit cheesy at time the bar on a night can get a bit busy at times but the staff are very fast and friendly overall enjoyed my stay at this hotelMore
2nd Perfect holiday here!
We arrived at the Isla Bonita for the second time 30th May( stayed for two weeks), late in the evening. When we arrived everywhere was shut so they showed us to the dining room, where we were able to have food and drink. Our room was SPOTLESS, they changed the towels and sheets every day, couldn't fault the cleanliness. Our room was situated in block A, but we always used the block B pool as there was so much going on, they also had food on round that pool in the day which the kids loved (nuggets, burgers, chips, salad, toasted sandwiches) We have two children aged 4 and 8 and from the moment they woke up until the moment they went to sleep they were entertained. They went in the kids club most days (there choice) and they won certificates and played games all day. Dee Dee is absolutely amazing with the children, she made our holiday, as well as all the other animation team members. We knew Fabio from our last stay and once again he never failed to make us laugh, he made us feel so welcome again and we can honestly say its because of him we will keep returning. The food I think was better this time, they had themed nights, our favourite was the Mexican night. I especially loved the deserts. All the staff in the hotel work so hard, the bar staff, cleaners, animation team, life guards, waiters and reception. They are all amazing and welcoming and that's why each and every year our family will return to the Isla Bonita. I could go on and on about our stay here but all you need to do is relax and not be so picky. I said this last time, but if you want to complain about cracked tiles ect, pay more and stay in a 5* hotel. We viewed a couple of neighbouring hotels and a lot of the customers said they didn't enjoy their hotels as they were lacking atmosphere and a few had been over to the Isla Bonita purely for the entertainment and fun. This hotel is brilliant and great value for money. More
