Fab hotel in a great location
I'm 18 and stayed at this hotel for one week with my family. The hotel is in walking distance to the beach, local market and marina, with a small bus/car journey to Siam Park. The hotel has a really good sized pool and plenty sun loungers, we never had a problem getting 7 sun beds in the morning. There is a good selection of food at meal times that changes everyday. I stayed in a junior suite and couldn't fault it. It was spacious with a balcony that had a great view overlooking the pool and sea. We didn't make use of the entertainments team in the evening as we had a large group so we made our own entertainment. However through the day they offered a few different activities to take part in, e.g. Aqua aerobics or water volleyball. Overall, I had an absolutely amazing holiday and I would definitely recommend this hotel. More
Just returned from a 2 week family holiday and had a fantastic time. Here is my plus points to this hotel: Great location - 15 mins walk to beach / 5-10 mins to shops & restaurants 24 Hour Supermarket next door Modern & clean Big pools Always loungers available - no ridiculous early morning towel laying Good choice in restaurant Lovely staff Great room - we paid extra for a junior suite (main building) - well worth it Only a few negatives to this hotel but they wouldn't stop me going back: All inclusive stops at 12pm regardless of when you arrive - we had arrived at midnight and flight home got picked up at 10pm - felt that the €8 charge per person to keep bands on was unnecessary Food is good although can be repetitive and some odd combinations some times - none the less good! My daughters hair was a nightmare from the pool - worst Condition from any holiday it's ever been in after 2 weeks! A few other people at the hotel mentioned this - not sure what's in the pools but very harsh on your hair! Entertainment at night is what you expect - mini disco & show - nothing wildly exciting for an 11 year old! The thing is Tenerife has so much going on that for us this wasn't a big deal and we went out quite a lot for a wander! Plenty of space outside by the pool - why not try some entertainment out there some nights??? All in all a great holiday had by us all! More
Holiday 2017 July - August
Stayed at the Playa Real Hotel end of July, check in was simple and easy. The rooms are spacious and clean with really good air-conditioning. The room was cleaned every day with clean towels. The pool is spacious and never feels to cramped alway somewhere to sit inside and out. The queue at the bar was never more than 4 people at a time. The staff at the hotel are always welcoming and friendly, one more so called Marek Myszak who went the extra mile to make customers welcome and happy always with a smile on his face and skip in his walk. We heard he was to meet with the managing director about his chatteness to the customers. Which we found upsetting as he helped to make our stay a great experience. He is a asset to your hotel and would recommend anyone to stay. This is the only hotel we have found, we would visit again and dearly hope Marek is still with you if not promoted or with a pay rise. The only negative point about the hotel is the food which in an all inclusive it is what it is. The chefs work really hard and I know you can't expect high quality restaurants food. The location is really good a nice walk to some lovely restaurants and bars. We especially enjoyed Duque beach with great water sports on offer and clean Toliet facilities. Siam park is a must GET A FAST PASS at peak times is a must 15 euro each but well worth it. I recommend get there early as they do sell out. More
Not a 4* would only give it a 2
upgraded to a Junior Suite, jacuzzi bath, queen beds.... well Jacuzzi was fake, had the jets but the knobs to turn it on/off were false, they came off in my hand. beds were folding camp beds pushed together to make 1x queen. Not ideal for a mother and teenager. Food was awful, ok if you like pizza and chips everynight. only 1 toaster for the entire hotel so in a morning breakfast was a nightmare. Would not go back to this hotel again. The entertainment of an evening was boring went to bed most nights at 9:30pm atmosphere was so so miserableMore
Chatur playa real
We arrived to be told that we were staying in a family room which was located outside of the main hotel. The room itself was okay but was not what we expected as it had a kitchenette which we didn't need as we were all inclusive. We let the reception know that we thought that we were in the wrong room and were told that we could upgrade to the hotel for an extra €150. We managed to get this price down to €108 explaining our disappointment and what we had already paid. The suite within the hotel was much better and of a good standard although the cupboard door fell of when we first opened it, the shower head sprayed everywhere and created a slippy floor even when you put towels down. We noted a number of issues which you not expect for a 4 star hotel. Firstly the food variety is very limited, finding the same food at lunch and dinner times each day and therefore eating out numerous times over the course of the holiday. Secondly drinks are served in small plastic cups, wine is draft and bottled water is not available. Thirdly entertainment is very poor and not well planned. Through the day there are a few different activities however it's limited for children and evening entertainment is worse. After a basic kids club there seems to be a decent act such as the parrot show, a singer, magician and dancers however after about 10pm there is nothing. However the child's pool is amazing but watch your own kids as the lifeguard on this pool spends most of his time on his phone and standing at the bar. He did move himself a little more after a small child went under a lilo and was pulled out by another holiday maker. Having said that the lifeguard on the main pool was amazing as was the friendly lady on the kids club. Definitely a 3 star hotel with some changes that could easily be made to become a solid 4 star hotel. Would not visit again however. More
