This beachside hotel comes with a duo of pools and restaurants, and it’s big on activities, too.
There are 2 lagoon pools and 2 restaurants – 1 does buffets, the other is a speciality grill. You’ve also got an A to Z of activities, while in the evening there’s entertainment in the theatre.
Location-wise, this hotel hits the right spot. It’s right on a sandy beach, and it’s just a few minutes’ walk from shops and bars in the centre of Costa Caleta.

Dont go ALL INCLUSIVE
Nice hotel. Always sun beds available and seats in dining area. All very clean. Dont be fooled by the no reserving sun beds though. Watched people reserving sun beds from as early as 7am and some reseved beds in the sun and also in the shade so they could swap during the day!. The evening shows are awfull and from my balcony watched people walking out every night. There are tiles missing from the pools so watch your little ones. Tuesday night is pool party night and the best entertainment all week. We went to pierros locally and there show is much better and a much better atmosphere. The beach is lovely but sea shoes are a must as the sea is very stoney. The mini golf is good and we visited twice during our stay rather than suffer the awfull entertainment in the hotel in the evening. Overall if you love all inclusive hotels this one is good. Met other people in the hotel who were half board and they got free wi-fi and tea/coffe making facilites. All inc you dont get this and wi-fi is very expensive here. It appeared if you were half board you got much better treatment.More
Large busy family hotel.
Just got back from a weeks all incusive stay which was in the 2nd week of September. We asked for a high floor room but got a ground floor one instead but we found that this was even better !!. The room was 3018 at the far end of the complex by the pool which was really handy for everything. The room was very spacious, very clean and the 2 three quarter beds that were put together were the most comfy I've stayed in for a 4 star holiday hotel. The hotel is very big and very busy and is very popular with families which means plenty of babies , kids and push chairs !!! Food was very good for the amount of people they have to cater for, but yes, service was a little slow. Really this hotel is understaffed especially at bar areas serving drinks and clearing of tables. We worked it out for the week that by booking A.I. instead of HB with all the drinks and food we had we saved well over 200 euros. For all you TV addicts there is BBC 1, 2 & 4, ITV 3 and some old movie channels and you will need these because the shows at night are dreadful !!!.We booked up direct with Barcelo Hotels that gives you a 5% discount and booked Ryanair flights and the Taxi transfer was only £20 return. So don't bother booking with the big agents because you will save at least £200. So if your going here good luck and be patient with the babies ,children, the awful entertainment at night and the slow service.More
We stayed as a couple. (70) from 3rd-10th Sept. this was our 2nd visit to Caleta.. Upon arriving quick check in. We were Al.inclus... very good room,2228.quiet. Sea view (which we paid extra for) was kettle and cups, but took our own t.bags,coffee. as read there was a charge for these.. Safe. 20Euros. with 5 dep. food couldn't fault at all, one morning Cava at breakfast, Lots of choice, was a kids food. counter. Waitress service also good. for drinks, and breakfast could get Jug of hot milk, coffee, hot water.. save going back to counter for extra..Nightly entertainment.very good, Grease, Starlight Express, Broadway show.. Disco Diva, we missed the acrobats,, but heard they were excellent.. The usual Spanish dancing.. the theatre massive, with waiter service, so no need to wait at the bar. Drinks menu. very vairied. good cocktails.. overall yes Delightful....one downside, which does need addressing..is the toilet next to the snack bar.. bit of a sight really, its where the pool table is and table tennis very old and need of refurb.. stained and mouldy tiles, delapitated really.. come on Barceló.. address this, that' was the only let down..Would we stay here again .YES. Oh pool very warm and is saltwater..More
We have stayed here before and recommended it to our parents. On arrival our room looked lovely room 2001 hot tub superior. On going outside on our decking we were greeted by a cockroach. We had complimentary champagne saying happy anniversary which was lovely. Except it was our parents anniversary. That evening after travelling my husband had a shower. Next thing I know the floor is flooding and the plug hole is all blocked. We call and are told someone will be there in the AM at 8.30. No one came. As it was our first day we were keen to get going and we had planned to meet my parents for breakfast. They came eventually and said it was fixed. I showered and it was not. So another flood. Another phone call. That evening we were informed it was all sorted and went for a shower. Still not fixed. So we called again and left the shower running so they could understand the problem we had been trying to explain. They also eventually cleaned off the mould from around the shower head that we had been asking them to do. The lady's came to clean although we always felt like the floor was never cleaned very well and it had bits on rather often. Other than these problems everything else was good. Good food selection. Entertainment team are great. Cocktails are lovely. The waiters are very friendly. The food at Aloe bar is delicious. Great area. Lovely spa although they do use faculae advertising. Some pictures they use are not of their actual spa which I deem to be wrong. More
Stayed for a week as part of a family group. Why do you have to hire an iron in a 4 star hotel ? Also had to hire a kettle in order to make formula for our baby.Rooms are clean and quite a good size. The animation team are fantastic and work really hard. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful.Never had to wait long for a drink.Spa beautiful although quite expensive. For me the biggest let down was the food.Im not a fan of all inclusives anyway but i really didnt enjoy any aspect of the food or restaurant.Went out for dinner most evenings and even for breakfast once or twice.Only bothered going in for lunch once.Fusion 22 , the local indian restaurant is beautiful. An ok hotel but i wouldnt rush back.More
