We were there for one week and everything about hotel was great food, staff, room, weather :) i recommend this hotel for families and for everyone who needs some time off. Hotel is very nice but if you want more fun at night like disco you need to find something else :)More
Beautiful hotel - staff cant do enough for you!
On arrival we were given our room on the first floor on the corner of the building. Very spacious room with L shaped balcony. Very comfy bed, and we were happy with it considering it was a basic room, Not much of a view but we weren't too bothered. First few nights the room was very warm and the air con wasn't very powerful. I opened the doors to let the breeze come though which was lovely however we were right next to the sliding gates for delivery vehicles to enter the hotel. These were noisy even through out the night. Also being on the ground floor I could hear the gardeners pottering around in the morning and see them looking in plus I was conscious of someone easily climbing the balcony and coming into the room whilst we were asleep. This meant we did not sleep very well and by day 3 we were exhausted and grumpy. I complained at reception about the air con and they said someone would come to look at it. Made no difference. i asked if we could move rooms and basically there was no other basic rooms like ours available however after stating my disappointment and exhaustion we were kindly moved to an upgraded room which was pool view with a large hot tub! Much to my amazement this rooms air con was also very poor and I came to the conclusion these air cons are just cool fans. The upgraded room was lovely however in my opinion I wouldn't have paid the extra for the hot tub and the little extras you get. The basic rooms were adequate and far surpassed my expectations - for all the time you spend in the room - I struggled to find time to use the hot tub. regardless the room and hotel was spotless and other than this little hitch we could not fault the hotel or the staff they were fantastic and we would definitely recommend and advise people to stop at this hotel again. I felt that maybe there should be a few more activities around the pool as it was soooooo quite or even some music playing but i suppose you cant please everyone. Breakfast was excellent - my partner is gluten intolerant so had to ask for gluten free options, these would have been nice to have been out on display instead of having to chase staff for them, also some was wasted as they bring a selection of GF items on a plate and he wouldn't eat them all. Had they have been out on display then he could have chosen what he wanted. Again only minor little grumbles but all in all a fantastic hotel in ideal location and we would book here or another Barcelo again.More
The perfect holiday
Just returned home from the most relaxing time here. A 15 minute transfer from the airport to hotel, though we did get a taxi for 12 euros, rather than wait for out Thomson coach. Received a lovely welcome from the reception staff, who promptly booked us in within 10 minutes. I had emailed the week before asking for rooms in a quiet block on a lower floor, the request was honoured, we had a lovely room in block 3 on the 1st floor, with a lovely view. Our room was lovely, clean and roomy, for 2 adults and a 6yr old. A very large super king bed, a good size sofa bed for the little one A good size TV, which we never ever turned on, plenty of toiletries, a good dressing area and a small bathroom with an over bath powerful shower, a big wardrobe and a few draws to use. A small fridge stocked with water, also a kettle, tea and coffee, though no milk. The hotel is a good size, with plenty of visitors, though it never felt over powering, all areas are very spacious, open and airy. The pool area is well set out, 3 pools, salt water, though we never found this a problem. One a lovely quiet unheated pool, very relaxing and chilled.another heated pool and jacuzzi used more by families and children and a shallow kids pool. There was plenty of sunbeds, though most people reserved them early for prime positions. The restaurant is very big, with lovely set out tables, waiter service for drinks, which we were always served promptly, even though it was very busy. The food was fantastic, a vast amount of choice, always hot, always chefs cooking at a range, steak, fish, omelettes, pancakes, something for everyone. Plenty of breakfast choices, fruit juices, smoothies, plenty of deserts. Staff always busy, setting up tables, clearing away, always with a smile and a kind 'hola', they loved it when we spoke back in Spanish, especially when my 6yr old goddaughter asked 'how are you' in Spanish. The animation team were fantastic, working so hard, day and night, around the pool, in the kids clubs, they are fabulous with the kids. They worked so hard in the shows they put on in the theatre. The theatre is a very big area, with plenty of seats with tables, where you can get waiter service during the shows. At the side there is lounge area seating, next to the bar, where you can also see the shows from. There was always plenty of waiters on the bar or waiting at tables, you never waited long for drinks. We had a fantastic time at this hotel and would recommend it.More

During our holiday we stayed in a villa on the golf course but visited the Spa on two occasions. Prior to arriving I had arranged three massages for our first week by email and had quick responses including confirmation of payment and times. Our treatments were of an excellent standard with staff being very well trained in both massage and use of hot stones. After our first visit we booked for further massages for the following week, I would suggest booking ahead as the slots get filled quickly. Laura was very good massaging with the hot stones but if you want a really outstanding massage Pilar offers an exceptional Swedish massage which works out all of the tension in your body. She is also very careful in her massage checking you are comfortable throughout. This was also the case for other members of our group. The Spa is well maintained and well worth a day visit as it cost only â¬25 if you are not staying at the hotel. I have also stayed in the Barcelo self-catering accommodation on previous visits to the resort and found it and the staff to be excellent. More
Been here a few times and always find everything good about the hotel and all the staff are so friendly and nothing is to much trouble . The entertainment could be a lot better but it could be some ones cup of tea More
