Amazing Hotel ...

We stayed at this hotel last year (May 2012) and we absolutely loved it!! We were a bit worried about it being away from a main resort but once we were there we had nothing to worry about as there is so much going on that you don't need to leave anyway, plus we had a 1.5 year old so sometimes it's just easier to stay put when you have a gorgeous beach and swimming pool and all the food and drink you can consume right in front of you!!! The hotel runs a bus into the rersort of Santa Eulalia for free so we did that a couple of times and we also caught a boat from Santa Eulalia to Ibiza Town which was lovely (very hot that day though!!). Our room was lovely, we stayed in one of the apartment type rooms on the hillside overlooking the approach road to reception - it was pretty basic but had everything we needed and more importantly it was spotlessly cleaned. Food was fab, there was the main buffet area and if you went outside there was always a bbq going with ribs etc. Food was always being replenished and the staff were always around to check on the food. In the restaurant you can sit inside and outside - if you sit outside the view is amazing but we stayed inside as we like it cool!!! Around the pool in the day time, there is pizza, chips, ice cream etc available so brilliant if your little one sleeps through lunch like ours! Evening entertainment was brilliant, the kids disco started at 8 which my little boy loved and even a year later he still acts out the dances!!! Then after the kids disco they always had some kind of act, all of a really good quality. Around the pool area there always seemed to be plenty of sun beds which is refreshing compared to some hotels!! The pirate ship water park area is amazing even though my little one was a bit small for it and definitely a good way to cool down! All in all a great holiday and I really hope our holiday this year to Menorca measures up to the same high standard!!!More

Beautiful secluded setting

Stayed here in September 2012 with my husband & 2 year old. The hotel was very good & the location/setting was fantastic but only if you don't wish to venture outside of the resort. There is a courtesy bus that takes you to Santa Eulalia which was approx 20 mins away though. It was ideal for us as we wanted a relaxing break and our 2 year old loved the pirate pool. It was a short walk to the beach but not ideal for people with mobility problems as it is quite an incline to get back upto the hotel. There was a buffet restaurant that served good food with plenty of choice & there was also a bbq restaurant available every evening. The food wasn't the best for my fussy toddler but the selection was good for non fussy eaters. The outside area of the restaurant has a fantastic view of the sea but I didn't like the layout of the tables. The only way I can describe it is like a canteen set up with long tables so there weren't many private tables to enjoy a private family meal on the outside terrace but the were plenty of tables to chose from inside though.Snacks are meant to be available inbetween meals but we never saw any advertising for them or saw anyone eating any?? We we're all inclusive & there was lots of international branded drinks available but others had to be paid for which weren't too expensive. As we went in September the children that were there were mainly toddlers. There was a mixture of nationalities staying at the hotel & some English but not a great deal. The evening entertainment was better than expected & the animation team worked hard. As I have said there wasn't many older kids there so can't really comment on kids club activities. We did go to the sister hotel & had a drink but didn't make use of the option to dine there. It was very hilly & no good for pushing a buggy/wheelchair around. There was a couple of shops just outside the sister complex & a couple of restaurants but again it is such a quiet location. The pirate pool was a few minutes walk from the both hotels. There is a bar that serves beer, soft drinks, coffee & ice creams but could benefit from a snack bar. The rooms were clean & ours came with a kitchenette with fridge which was ideal with a toddler. Our room had a sea view & we were away from the main hotel so it was very quiet. The layout of the hotel is no good for people with mobility issues as there are stairs to climb before accessing a lift. Overall we had a very pleasant week & would return. It was advertised as a 4* hotel when we booked but was a good 3*+.More

Invisa Figueral Resort/Cala Verde

I cant say enough about this hotel, it had everything we wanted, great service, clean, lovely location, kids entertainment was fantastic. There are 2 hotels in the complex and can use your all inclusive in either. For the kids there is a pirate water park. I paid extra for a luxury room and it was absoloutely stunning. With my own terrcae with table chairs and 2 sunbeds, would reccomend paying the extra. What did spoil our holiday was Thomas Cook. transfers were atrocious! We had trouble at the airport, not booked on any transfer then coming home they didnt even bother to pick us up! We booked all inclusive and transfers with Thomas Cook as we had 3 very small children with us and it made travelling a lot easier. How wrong was i !! For over 12 months i have been trying to get a refund from Thomas Cook with no avail, they insisted they came to pick us up and couldnt even accept they messed up. If we didnt have money left over we would have been stranded. It cost 100 euros for 2 taxis to the airport and not happy to say the least. I read reviews about other people not getting picked up for their transfers and i should have known better. Lovely hotel/complex and would reccomend especially if you have children BUT STAY AWAY FROM THOMAS COOK. Very poor travel company.More

Fantastic Break

Arrived early AM given a snack bag/drink by reception and shown to room, all areas were very clean as was the room and hotel in general, the view on that first morning with the sun shining was spectacular, although at the end of the season we enjoyed extremely easy service in the bars and restuarant being able to pick a table absolutely anywhere , a nice variety of food available at all times and a sun bed wherever we fancied, all the staff very friendly, animation approachable and not pushy, nice view from the gym area, as previous readers are aware there are a number of steps to the beach and there is only a couple of bars/shops in the immediate vicinity, made use of the free bus trip to Santa Eulalia, all in all a lovely break till we were moved to the other Hotel ( Cala Blanca ), as other people who were moved also found out, this was not in the same class...More

Great views

Stopped here for one week end of September into October , real quite time as you can see things are being run down with half the sun beds being put away and only so many tables being set out at meal times. Good hotel if you only want to chill out for a week with a couple of books and drinks on tap . Good selection of branded drinks for all inclusive and really good coffee,.Book a sea view for some great views looking across the bay to Cala San Vicente we got the top ( 3rd ) floor, very quite never heard a thing at night Three star hotel so that's what you get , small telly that has Sky news to keep you up to date .Entertainment nothing to write home about but maybe that's because we into last few weeks of season. Hotel seems to cater mostly for Italian guests though it also had a few French and Germans. Friendly staff who are what you come to rely on for any information on the resort as this is a complex where Thomson / First choice, expect you to look after yourself, all there is is a book with pick up times in and very little else to let you know what 's going on, a really big let down. Going home took over one and a half hours to get to airport, time we got through check in plane was almost boarding, not even time for a cup of coffee as there was a long queue waiting .If you book this hotel be aware there is a lot of steps and quite a trail to next hotel on complex . Summing up, big zero to travel company as far as resort is concerned, big plus to hotel, especially receptionMore
