This away-from-it-all place has great views, plenty of pools and a beach on tap.
This place is split into 2 – the clifftop Cala Verde and beach-side Cala Blanca – in quiet Es Figueral. Lots of pools and a clutch of bars and restaurants are divvied up between both places.
A kids’ splash park, adults-only pool and chillout area are 3 of the highlights here. An extra bonus is the free shuttle bus to local towns and markets. And the beach is a 5-minute walk away.

Met all my expectations and so much more!!!!
Returned on Wednesday from a weeks holiday at the Cala Verde. This trip was taken by myself and my 2 children aged 13 and 11. Booked last Autumn and was an important one as the first proper family holiday I had booked so no pressure. I read many, many reviews on this hotel and decided to take the plunge and book it. Kept the holiday a surprise for my children until the very last minute. When we arrived at the hotel first impressions were all that I had hoped for. I would say it is a 30-40 transfer if you go straight to the hotel but obviously longer if there are stops en-route but the bus is air conditioned so not a big deal. Check-in was very smooth and our bags were sent up to the room whilst we waited in the bar (no hardship there). I had sent an earlier email requesting a sea-view if at all possible and they did their very best to accommodate - yes, there was a bit of foliage but we could still see the sea. The hotel was always kept very clean. All of the staff work tirelessly to make your stay a fabulous one. The views are stunning. Pool never overcrowded even when games are taking place. Selection of food in the immaculate restaurant was huge and you really would have to be a very fussy eater to not find something to your taste. It was my birthday whilst we were there and they even magiced (is that a word?) up a cake. Took a couple of trips and used the free bus to visit local town. (do book the night before as even if the bus does have space you will need a ticket). Don't go on a hot day! We had an unexpected visitor (Dad) and the hotel were very happy to reorganise our room to fit him in without any problems at all. This really is a lovely hotel, in a beautiful setting with lots going on if you choose to take part. I cannot think of anything negative to say. If you have any doubts, don't. We would love to return if finances allow. If you go, have a fabulous time.More

2nd time in Cala Verde. Another wonderful holiday. We decided to return as after lots of research I couldn't find another hotel to match Cala Verde. We were not disappointed. Hotel was just as we remembered with standards still very high and brilliant value for money. We are a family of 2 grandparents, daughter and son in law and 4 year old granddaughter. All our needs were met and everyone enjoyed themselves. We requested Cala Verde again directly with the hotel and they kindly allocated 2 rooms in main building close to each other ( thank you Laura on reception). Rooms basic but extremely clean and have wonderful views. Food varied and plentiful with something for everyone. Desserts very good and freshly baked bread delicious. Restaurant staff very efficient changing the white linen table clothes between each family sitting down. Yes it is very busy in August a and can be quite noisy with all the children but you can always get a a table and the food is being continually replaced. Granddaughter loved the mini disco and the visit from Hippo in the dining room in the evening inviting all the children to the disco. Animation team for the children were very caring and full of energy. Pools were busy but the beach a short stroll away was quieter and a lovely place to relax. All staff were polite and helpful. A wonderful family hotel! Thank you to all at Cala Verde again. More

Loved, Loved, Loved this hotel! Already looking into booking again next year :)
We visited in August 2015 - came home yesterday 19/08 - I travelled with my two children aged 12 and 14. We e-mailed ahead to request that we were put in the smaller, less busy of the two hotels Cala Verde and this is where we were, we had a breath taking view over the sea and mountains - the room was very clean and was made up every single day with fresh towels as required. Cleaning staff were amazingly friendly. Lovely atmosphere in this hotel, the reception staff were all delightful - everyone in this hotel smiles!! (except the pool maintenance men - not too sure where they were at on the 'happy scale' but they weren't in keeping with the rest of the hotel staff!) The bar staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was amazing - so so much choice - from local Spanish dishes, Mexican nights, salads and fish to burgers, pizza and fries. Never ever had trouble finding a table to sit at, everything was really calm and relaxed around the restaurant which from what I heard was not to be said for the sister hotel 5 minutes walk away (which you can also go to and eat at if you book with reception the day before) The beach was right next to the hotel which we all loved - literally 5 minutes walk down several steps and you're on a beautiful sandy beach with a calm turquoise sea lapping at your feet, it was stunning. This is the first time in years when the sunbeds around the pool were plentiful, no getting up at stupid o'clock to try and beat the other nationalities with their towels!! whether you were early risers or whether you rock up to the pool at mid day there were always free sunbeds to be had, and we never had any issues here at all - given this was peak season this fact alone was a massive tick in the box for me! Plenty for the kids to do with the clubs all separated into their relevant age groups, the entire group of entertainment staff were absolutely incredible with special thanks to Charline in particular who's passion and commitment to her job is clear for all to see - all the kids loved her - especially my 2, but all of the animation team put in long, long hours, kept the kids happy, did an amazing job with the daytime adult and kids entertainment and also the evening entertainment too, and in my opinion out shone the professional acts bought in! We also took a free bus from the hotel (which if you book via your holiday rep they will charge you for!) to visit the Hippy Market which was a nice little trip for a few hours. All in all this was a breath of fresh air and I admit I shed a tear when leaving which I NEVER usually do, but this place was pretty special and my children are already on at me to re book next year, and I won't need much persuading! Thank you Inivsa Cala Verde for an amazing holiday and I congratulate you for having such a great team of people all working under one roof.More
Enjoyed our holiday but wouldn't go back to this hotel!! Definitely not a 4 star!!
Having looked at all the reviews I emailed the hotel prior to our holiday and asked that we stay in the Cala Verde part of the hotel, no complaints there, the hotel did place us in Cala Verde but this side does seem like the poor cousin of the the Cala Blanca side. The rooms were clean but basic and walls very thin, the pool area was not sufficient for the amount of guests especially when 1/2 of it is taken up with water polo and water aerobics. At the start of the day the pool was clear but by the afternoon it was thick with suntan lotion and even noticed a thick sludge floating on top of the water which looked like sick, when I pointed it out to the life guard he shrugged his shoulders and said its suntan cream and did nothing about it. As the entertainment of an evening is based around the pool area the mess from the night before is still there in the mornings and even after the clean up operation one morning we spotted bits of glass by the pool area, great when you and your children are walking around the pool bare foot! My husband reported this to reception but still after 1/2 hr no one had come to clean it up so he told another member of staff,it was then removed. This part of the hotel needs a face lift as it looks a bit shabby and dated whereas the Cala Blanca is a lot cleaner, smarter and more modern and has more to offer by way of pools, decent bar area, the disco is this side, the splash pool and shop just outside the hotel. That said If you wanted to eat at the Cala Blanca side we had to pre-book the day before which was no problem but the restaurant was actually better at the Cala Verde side as it was less busy,it didn't look as nice and again was a bit shabby in the terrace area (one morning we eat our breakfast with a load of ants) but we couldn't fault the food it was excellent and catered for everyone. This hotel has its good points, pretty gardens, lovely views, friendly staff, excellent food and a great animation team that worked very hard but I wouldn't go back,we've stayed in much better all inclusive hotels and first choice should not be advertising this hotel as a 4 star!More

Bursting at the seams.
We stayed 10 nights from 3rd August. Family of four, kids aged 7 and 5. First point is that if you book the Invisa Figueral Resort, you will stay at either the Cala Blanca Hotel or the Cala Verde. You will not find out until you arrive at reception which hotel you are staying at. The Cala Blanca is not as highly rated on review sites as the Cala Verde so bear that in mind. Upon arrival, we were bumped from the Verde to the Blanca so that another family could have rooms next to each other. Not the start we wanted. However, the room we got was spacious and clean and the cleaner did a great job every day. The resort was fully booked and it that had a big impact. For example, every sun bed by the Cala Blanca pools had towels on them from early morning. Hotel literature prohibited this but nobody ever raised an eyebrow. Getting a seat for the evening entertainment was a battle unless you got there early. Also, there were long queues at the bars in the evening. The volume of people also meant that the dining room at the Cala Blanca was often pretty chaotic as diners approached from all angles carrying food and drink. It was evident that the dining room at the Cala Verde was much more civilised. However, as a Blanca resident you were required to book that a day ahead and get issued with a pass to dine there. However, there were lots of positive aspects to the resort. The grounds are beautifully maintained, the staff were very hard working and friendly, the food choice and quality was very good and the beach was family friendly and on the doorstep. Also, the animacion team were excellent both during the day with the activities, clubs etc and in the evening with their excellent efforts on stage. And yet there were other anomalies. For what is largely a family resort, the best pool of all is the adult only pool which is the largest and newest with better loungers and more space by the pool. This pool was hardly used, with the majority of loungers empty. At night, the adult only bar , again, the nicest by far in the resort, was almost empty, probably because it was not part of the all inclusive package. So in summary, we had an enjoyable stay at the resort, but there was an underlying feeling that the place was slightly struggling to cope with being fully booked. More
