This lagoon-side hotel's getting a fresh lick of paint for December 2017. You can expect a generous helping of restaurants and pools, plus lots of extra little luxuries.
The LUX* Grand Gaube is spread out along a calm lagoon, with a triple helping of beaches. There are a couple of pools overlooking the sands, a stack of watersports to try, and five restaurants that you can skip between.
Staff like to keep things quirky, so you can expect to find little extras like a secret bar for mix-your-own cocktails, spa vouchers in bottles hidden around the gardens, and a red phone box for free calls home.

This is a 5 star plus property and I went to Lux Grand Gaube in April and still have the holiday blues!! It's such an amazing place, I couldn't fault a thing! The staff, the food, the beach, the pool, sports activities, rooms, amenities, restaurants all absolutely amazing !!!! The hotel is Heaven on Earth and the staff of Lux are very much helpful, friendly and caring. They wear white dress and every day make dreams come true. The best 3 days of our lives spent here and if you want to visit a caring helpful and blissful hotel in Mauritius Lux Gran Gaube is the place. Superb experience with family from the beginning to end. Strongly recommend for family stay.More

This is a really beautiful and relaxing paradise. The decor is tasteful and the scenery is amazing. People are very friendly and there is a lot to do for everyone. Be aware that you might feel a bit isolated from the outside, as the hotel is situated a bit outside everything. Be prepared to spend a bit of money on food and beverages.More
we loved it
This was a lovely hotel, the view from the room and beach was amazing, they had amazing night views of the stars and once a week they did a star gazing night, this was brilliant it was on the beach a 2 second walk from the bar, we saw the rings of Saturn and other amazing things, and the man doing the demonstration was excellent. The food here was excellent too, you will not be disappointed. There was also outdoor cinema nights with popcorn and blankets if required. everyday they did find the bottle around the resort which you can win free massages and dinner on the beach. this is a nice touch we thought. Excellent water sports
We stayed here shortly before they closed for renovations - why they wanted to renovate, I'm not sure as it appeared very good already! Two things stood out really: firstly was the quality of the food and secondly, the vast array of water sports. My children spend almost the whole time either waterskiing, sailing or on paddle boards. Even though we were there at high season, there was rarely a queue. The only thing I would say, is that if you are going with children who don't eat much and if you do not drink much alcohol, the half board option is much cheaper than 'all-inclusive' even thought the food and drink is expensive. The other thing to mention is that the hotel is quite isolated so it is not possible to go and eat elsewhere...More
Beautiful hotel with beautiful people running it. Service was excellent and every guest is made to feel very special. Good was varied and lots of it. Each night there was a special dish to be had. Definitely go again but make sure you go all inclusive as a bit expensive otherwise. The cocktails are to die for. More
