Hotel Calypso

A good pool scene and a handy setting close to the beach – just a couple of reasons this big, bright hotel wins the vote.

This place is just a 10-minute walk from Salou’s beach, one of the best sandy stretches on the Costa Dorada. It’s in a lively little sea port, with a raft of shops, bars and restaurants on the doorstep.

The Calypso comes with lots of activities. There are 2 main pools for starters. The 10-pin bowling alley wins plaudits on TripAdvisor, too.

decent only because we got a good price

me and my wife and toddler stayed here oct 2013 all inclusive for just over 700 pound which was amazing really , food was ok and alcohol had a good selection for all inclusive option , rooms werent the greatest and location was pretty good , i am coming back to salou in june 2015 and couldnt believe the price they were looking for for two weeks, roughly the same as the hotel villa romana which is a far superior hotel ,just doesn't make sense , would be ok as a budget hotel as i dont really have much to complain about this hotel , also the barbecue outside at lunch time was pretty good , burgers chips grilled chicken and steakMore

Calypso, Spain. I rate it 5 stars.

I absolutely love calypso. It's in great location. I has two great pools. The food is soo delicious. I highly recommend this hotel. The room are tidy and spacious. The bathrooms are very good and everything works. The balconies, coming of the rooms, are very big and even have chairs and a table. The balcony also have space to store wet clothes and equipment that you wouldn't want in your room like beach equipment. The entertainment is amazing. But if children don't want to watch the shows, there's computers, a little arcade and a big arcade. The staff are very welcoming and make sure you have a great stay at the hotel. Calypso also have a free wifi area which is very convenient.More

We traveled her on our first ever holiday abroad as a family. There was myself, partner & son who at the time was 6 years old. Firstly I want to say how good & welcoming the kids club & entertainment was. Not one night were we stuck for something to do. Not once did I hear my son say he was bored! The all inclusive range was good, drinks menu good to. Pools were clean. Maid service good. Staff lovely & friendly. Location was perfect. Just 5 minute walk to the highstreet, shops & restaurants. Beach is a short walk. Local bus to water park which I highly recommend to. More

makingmemories86,

Not quite as advertised

Visited in October with my family, not quite what we were expecting staff were unfriendly and bordering on rude! Food was the same nearly every evening and ended up surviving on toast and plain pasta for the entire time as my partner for ill after first few days. Pools were nice and clean but really cold and bad prices differentiated dependant on who served you!!! Would not return - sadly More
