This hotel is spot on for action-packed holidays, with three pools and a huge activities line-up. It’s also right on the beach, with its own coral reef.
The private stretch of sand here sidles up to a natural lagoon, where you can try everything from stand-up paddle boarding to diving in the off-shore coral reef.
You’ve got three pools to pick from at the hotel – including a family pool with slides. Out of the water, there’s archery, volleyball and yoga to get stuck into.

Just returned from a great week over Christmas.OK the transfer took 1 hour but it was well worth it.I couldn't fault the rooms and apart from a minor problem with the shower reverting to the tap on the odd occasion whilst showering. The buffet was the best I've had with the best selection I've had on my travels to Hurghada or Sharm, and the other restaurants delivered good portions, the Indian restaurant was excellent Plenty of sunbeds this time of year especially on the beach,it did get a bit windy early in the morning and later when the sun was going down but we had at least 6 hrs of sun.As usual the staff were plentiful and gave excellent service.Would I go back - definitelyMore
Best hotel every stop in, Hotel is very clean , spotless, 24 hour food and drink Food is outstanding, What more can I say , as I could Not fault this hotel in anyway, The only fault is the nearest shops, restaurants, pubs, are 1 hour away, so there is no where to walk, but there is no need as there was no need to go anywhere,, there is everything in this hotel,, A++++++++ More

Don't Go here if you are English!!
This is and hour and a half from the airport. Because it is isolated it blows a hurricane at all times so sitting round the pool is not that great It is geared for the German market. Food OK Animation team ok but they buzz around the germans Was told there would be a free trip to Hurghada, turns out it's £8 per person, booked it and they cancelled the night before as not enough takers. Cost £45 to get a cab there and back......not happy. Will not be going here againMore
This hotel is hard to fault. Accommodation is first class, very comfortable beds, brilliant open walk in shower which does not leak into the main bathroom and kept spotlessly clean. Swimming pools are heated to a nice 29 degrees and plenty of space and ( comfortable) sunbeds. Beach area also well provided with beds and shade and the lagoon is perfect for a swim. You can enjoy a walk round the lagoon to escape that compound feeling. The food here is top class and the a la carte restuarants are very good - the food in the Italian was truly outstanding. If you cannot find good food to enjoy here then you must be the pickiest diner on the planet. Well done exec chef and all your team. This place is on its own so if lots of excursions and being able to get out and about under your own steam are what you crave then this is probably not for you but as a self contained gem then it is the best we have stayed in Egypt over many years of visiting. We may have just been unlucky but the wind blew wickedly and the red flag was on the jetty the whole week - we come specifically for the snorkelling so this was a downer. Travel tip: if you can travel with carry on only and book a private transfer. We got from wheels down to resort in 90 mins. Also gets you back to airport ahead of the nightmare that is check-in and security.More
Outstanding, would definitely return
We were here for the week commencing 5th December, and got it for £404 each which I now think is an absolute steal. The complex is in the middle of nowhere, but if all you want to do is relax around the pool and chill out, or take part in the many activities on offer, it's great. The room was well equipped and comfortable, with a sea view, and was kept spick and span by Mahmoud. The clientele are mainly Germans and Austrians, and many we spoke to had been there numerous times, including a couple that had been 17 times. Given that these nations have high expectations, the hotel must be doing something right. We only ever went to the main restaurant, and the quality and variety of the food was excellent, especially the fish, and the carvery, which included lamb, rabbit, and ostrich. The house wine is also pretty good, compared to what is normally offered at all-inclusive resorts. My only criticism would be that the vegetables are often not very hot, but given that they could be stood out in serving dishes for an hour or so, there is a compromise between keeping them hot and not drying out completely. The best pool is the relaxing pools, which faces the sea and is well sheltered from the wind. Competition for the loungers is fierce, and if you go there at 7:30 am you will find most of them occupied by an actual person, or more likely, by their towels. We observed one lady who would snaffle two loungers, and then not appear until mid-afternoon. Bear in mind the hotel was only 40% occupied that week, so imagine the scramble when it is full. This is something the hotel look at for improvement. There was plenty of space around the other pools, the one with the water slides was deserted most of the time. The range of activities is very good, I spent a lot of time doing the archery, as well as aqua fitness and the backfit sessions. The activities team are enthusiastic and keen, and know their stuff. Having previously been to Sharm el Sheik, this hotel is the one to which I would definitely wish to return, maybe for two weeks next time, if we can get the right deal. For tipping, take as many single US dollar bills as you can lay your hands on. £1 coins are difficult for the workers to exchange, so take a few fivers in case they ask you to swap them for the coins they've managed to accumulate. Don't just tip the obvious candidates like bar staff and waiters, but remember the ground staff and gardeners that keep the grounds looking so beautiful, and the lonely lifeguard at the end of pier. One tip is to take a few clothes pegs. Our terrace had a line for hanging out towels and swimming costumes, but the wind is strong enough to blow them off. Finally, try the cafe in the grounds, which serves excellent coffee and cakes, especially the apple strudel. Very civilised. Thank you, all the staff at Magic Life Kalawy, for a great vacation.More
