TUI Magic Life Kalawy Imperial

This hotel is spot on for action-packed holidays, with three pools and a huge activities line-up. It’s also right on the beach, with its own coral reef.

The private stretch of sand here sidles up to a natural lagoon, where you can try everything from stand-up paddle boarding to diving in the off-shore coral reef.

You’ve got three pools to pick from at the hotel – including a family pool with slides. Out of the water, there’s archery, volleyball and yoga to get stuck into.

Julie G,

We really enjoyed it!

This was a nice resort! The kids loved their mini water park. We had our favorite fruit cocktail that we order couple of times a day. They offer multiple ala cart restaurants that is included in your all inclusive. It was nice to try a new cuisine everyday & not just go to the buffet. The room had a separate mini room attached with kids beds which was really nice. They had a place were the kids can paint tea shirts that kept the kids occupied for a while. We liked their animation team & looked forward to join their water aerobics everyday. They also offered Salsa classes which were fun. Would go again!More

Rihammm,

Magical!

Visited in November 2015 From arrival to departure it was a fantastic holiday. Excellent food, excellent service from all staff across the board! Hygiene standards were very high. Best hotel I've stayed in, in the ten years I've been coming to Egypt. Returning with more family members in march :) T KimminsMore

Surprisingly good

This is the first time we've been on an all-inclusive holiday for a whole week. We've done the odd day previously as it's not really our thing, but we were looking for a cheap last minute week in the sun without the distractions of sight-seeing so that i could do some studying. I picked this hotel deliberately for being in the middle of nowhere... And it really is... There is absolutley nothing nearby, not even a shop, stall, cafe... Nothing! So we spent the whole week at the hotel, and we were still sane at the end of it. I had been quite worried about the quality of food and drink to expect given the price we paid, but my worries were unfounded. The quality of food was excellent overall, particularly the buffet where there were huge fresh fish and large joints of meat freshly cooked, and a lady baking nice fresh bread. The local wine was also surprisingly good and iwe happily drank it for the week. Unfortunately there was no fresh juice at breakfast, but we simply took some fresh grapefruits and squeezed our own. There is a nice reef for snorkelling, although it was too windy most days we were there. The water is lovely with lots of fish. The beach isn't brilliant - the sand is gravelly - but there are lots of sun loungers and the staff are very relaxed about you dragging them out to the front when the germans have nabbed all the best spots! Most of the guests are german, which was actually a plus from our perspective - they all seemed very nice and i can't stand beind surrounded by loads of other brits when away. There is a pretty decent activity programme to stave off boredom during the day (although some of the activity team need a brush-up on their manners) and shows in the evening, which whilst not brilliant were good enough to provide some entertainment. Also, because it is cold at night they provided blankets and mulled wine which was a nice touch. The staff were great overall, bringing you drinks by the pool/ beach, and a huge effort was made at the buffet with different theme evenings. The service wasn't 5 star (could be slow at times) but was friendly and they tried hard. So, overall, our week was much better than expected. Blue skies, good food and drink, some low-key activities to keep you entertained... And excellent value.More

emyLondon,

Excellent Week - 23 November

We booked this hotel on the spur of the moment, and are so glad that we did. We had a lovely week. The food was great in the main restaurant with plenty of choice. We tried a couple of the specialist restaurants and thought the Middle Eastern one was especially good. The whole complex was clean, bedroom spotless and had a lovely walk in shower. Our cleaner was fantastic and loved the towel animals. Most of the staff were really friendly and helpful and enjoyed chatting to us. We only had one problem, an evening meal was booked with reception as we had gone to Luxor for the day (a long day) and arrived back at 9:30. Our meal was booked with the evening receptionist the day before who ensured us we would be able to get a hot meal at 10pm in the indian restaurant. On the arrival at 10pm at the restaurant no one knew anything about it, we spoke to the same evening receptionist who said they cancelled the booking because they were too busy (the hotel only had 50% occupancy) so find this difficult to believe, if we had been German, I don't think this would happen. We will still go back to this hotel, because every other member of staff was really brilliant and the surrounding are great, the pools are lovely and the lagoon has fantastic snorkelling opportunities.More
