Jaz Aquamarine

The pools take most of the applause here – there are 18 altogether, plus a quartet of bonus waterparks.

Formerly known as the Iberotel Aquamarine, this hotel is huge. It comes with a beach – a private number decked out with thatched-roof daybeds – and a jaw-dropping 18 pools.

The pools come in all shapes and sizes, 1 just for adults, others geared towards kids – plus there are 3 waterparks. Food-wise, the numbers stack up, too, with a couple of buffet restaurants and 4 à la cartes.

Food and service not good enough

Place and the pools were very nice. But when it came to the all-inclusive the food was horrible and the service in the main restaurant likewise. Not clean enough we all got very sick for several days. More

Lovely hotel

Travelled with my daughter for a last minute holiday. Check in was faultless with our bags delivered to the room and a late meal arranged for us in one of the main restaurants Thomson representatives very helpful throughout the week. Would definitely recommend booking the a la carte restaurants especially the fish restaurant where we celebrated my daughters birthday where the staff laid on a surprise card and birthday cake the staff were very attentive and food was superb. The bedrooms are excellent with our room overlooking the pool which was superb, lovely and clean with complimentary soft drinks left everyday. The pools are fantastic especially the sunbeds sitting in the water. The staff never stop cleaning the resort and can't do enough to help you. What is unique is the management walking round the hotel talking to all the guests making sure they are happy with everything and taking on board any comments or recommendations. Unfortunately we had a couple of power cuts during our stay but candles lit up the restaurants and mobile phone lights came to the rescue. There didn't appear to be any emergency lighting fitted to any part of the hotel which maybe not a legal requirement in Egypt . I would definitely return to the hotel for a weeks break again and look forward to visiting sooner Unfortunately there are no lifts to the bedrooms which is a bit of a surprise so if you have difficulty with stairs make sure you request a ground floor bedroom.More

saga holiday

hotel is nice and clean staff very friendly and polite the restaurant or should i say canteen absolute free for all in the main canteen ,four corners was a nicer restaurant ,the food was was some of the worst in 30 years of travel hot food was warm at best poor basic food hygiene ,fresh fruit produce looked like it was fresh 3 weeks ago appalling, thank god i was only there for a week lost over 10Lbs in weight every time i consumed food no matter what i was really quite ill entertainment ,was very poor evening was even worse of only decent thing was the Kenyan dancers ,10.30 every night music went off and the place turned into a ghost town night club was a bit of a joke often getting six or seven people in there, i did read all the reviews with interest prior to going ,i think my expectations are considerably higher than what others have written there is literally nothing to do in the evening for teenagers if you want to lose weight rest sleep lounge around and go to bed by 10.30 great this is perfect i have 3 holidays a year, this is the worst holiday in the 30 years relief to homeMore

Best holiday ever!

Beautiful place so much to say about it. Spotlessly clean, staff fantastic, pools amazing, service great I can't say enough about this place. Lovely room with balcony overlooking pool. All restaurants within easy walking distance. Massive choice of food. Always food and drinks available and most times a lovely waiter will get everything for you. Quick mention to Ahmed, waiter in Ferouz Bar. Would always make sure we had a table and just kept he cocktails coming all night!!! Our room cleaner, Arafa, was so friendly and when my son was poorly made sure we had extra water, peppermint/herbal teas etc. day trip to Luxor amazing. Would go again tomorrow if I could xxx felt very safe within the hotel grounds. Also plenty of sun beds and general very quiet xxx. Perfect xMore

Fantastic holiday

The check in was very good and quick as we arrived later in the evening They took us to our room and explained where we could get a drink and some food. Great. Great food always plenty to eat and great variety. Rooms super clean, room cleaner was fantastic. Staff were brilliant, kind and so very helpful. They made our holiday extra special, although English is not their first or second language everybody tried so hard. Try all the restaurants our favourite was the Chinese but all were good. Spa and beauty room is a must. Please enjoy your holiday and relax.More
