The pools take most of the applause here – there are 18 altogether, plus a trio of bonus waterparks.
Formerly known as the Iberotel Aquamarine, this hotel is huge. It comes with a beach – a private number decked out with thatched-roof daybeds – and a jaw-dropping 18 pools.
The pools come in all shapes and sizes, 1 just for adults, others geared towards kids – plus there are 3 waterparks. Food-wise, the numbers stack up, too, with a couple of buffet restaurants and 4 à la cartes.

Just the break i needed
Everyone needs a bit of January sun and I would highly recommend the Jaz aquamarine too anybody looking for a friendly and relaxing place too have a break. When we arrived the check in was simple. we were given the registration documents on the coach transfer and when you arrived you were shown through too the bar where one of the managers was sat with a whole heap of envelopes. No long queue at the reception desk just a simple hand over the form and here are your keys. You are asked too wait in reception too be shown too your room and there is a large group of you waiting too be shown around but due too the sheer size of the complex I think this is more than acceptable and probably the most effective way too show people too there rooms. overall one of the easiest check ins I have encountered at such a large hotel. On day one was approached by Josef from the spa. he wasn't pushy at all but talked us through the different massages and treatments they offered and as I was a little dubious even gave me a sample massage on the sunbed. We booked three massages and a coconut scrub and I have too admit was one of the best massages I have had. Although I did ask for a hard massage as I like too feel the knots eroding away!! all in all the spa was excellent value and I would recommend too all. Worth noting that price given is in pounds but at reception the machine tried too charge us more too pay in sterling but when converted too dollars was fine so unless you have cash pay in dollars on your card!! easily sorted by the front desk team. We had a family deluxe room and I have too admit I was surprised at how spacious and comfortable they are. bed was comfy although a little hard for some peoples tastes I'm sure and was kept spotless by the cleaner who also left towel art every single day which was a nice touch. If you like a warm room request an odd number as the sun doesn't hit a lot of the rooms on the even side until late afternoon or at least that's what I found in the 3000 block. The food was pretty good. The buffet wasn't the most varied but if you are willing too try a bit of everything and not scared by veal etc then you will find some pretty tasty dishes in there. Service is good in there and special mention has too go too Ali who served us outside at breakfast and was always so helpful and trying too teach me a bit of Arabic!! no easy task!! Also Ahmed who worked in the Adult area in the evening was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble for him at all. If you like a steak sandwich head down too the paradiso bar on the beach front!! very good food and some fantastic service once again. If you like a pizza at lunch and you've travelled with Thomson head up towards the blue marine which is on the right hand side of the complex. Found there were mainly germans staying in that area but the pools were nice and quiet and the pizzas were nice if you fancied a bigger lunch. A la cartes are worth a go. we tried the Italian, the Lebanese and the oriental. The oriental was the best of the bunch with some lovely tasting Chinese food and really good service once again from Amr who also brought me far too many drinks while laid by the poolside for my own good. The Italian was nice although I would say décor a little dated in there and the food not quite as good as the oriental but certainly a nice way spend a couple of hours. Once again I have too mention Ayman who served us in the Italian and the paradise bar who had a cracking sense of humour and certainly wanted too make sure you had a good time. The Lebanese sadly was a bit of a let down. The food was a bit bland and although nice enough surroundings was a bit strange when you looked behind you and suddenly a cat was meowing very loudly at everyone from one of the shelves between the lunchtime restaurant and evening!! all in all 2 out of 3 isn't bad and certainly cant complain when offered 3 trips in a 7 day stay without extra charge. I did have a few gripes while I was there. The internet you are given when you first arrive is 300mb per room which is more than Is shown on the Thomson website but I had used this by the third day!! and a weeks internet was 440 Egyptian pounds which equates too roughly 50 pounds in English money which I thought was way too high. Spoke too guest relations about this and they are aware this is a problem and they are presenting it too management so hopefully will be resolved one way or the other but if you are a facebook addict or like too spend a lot of time browsing while sat by the pool be aware it can get costly. I was offered free use of the receptions internet when in the lobby bar which was a nice gesture by the guest relations team and was able too send messages etc but anything like browsing sky sports websites etc it just could not cope with. Also worth mentioning that a large portion of the guest relations team are English so very easy too speak too and very aware of our needs!! There are a lot of sales people walking around from different areas eg dive centre, spa, beauty salon etc and they can become a little annoying as you will be asked every single day at least once!! most are quite happy too accept no for an answer but I did find that those from the dive centre and the photography team were a little bit too pushy and even followed me around trying too convince me. Had a slight run in with Yasser from the dive centre sales team which didn't need too happen but after speaking too guest relations about it they and Mr Hassan the front office manager dealt with it incredibly quickly and made sure that I was happy with the outcome. Cannot ask for better service than that and Mr Hassan made every effort too make sure nothing like that would happen again. All in all a really lovely break and I will say the thing that made the Jaz aquamarine so good for me were the team that work there. Nothing is too much trouble and they really go out of there way too make sure you have a fantastic stay which I must admit is massively different too my last experience in sharm when I stayed at the Be live resort and felt a lot of the time we were more of a hindrance too there daily activities. I hope the jaz aquamarine continues too offer this excellent service as that can really set it apart and I will certainly be returning for another stayMore
Fantastic 1st Time Stay
Just arrived back from our first visit to the Jaz Aquamarine Resort hotel. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Top class restaurants, especially the Asian Fusion and Nino's Italian, the staff were very courteous and looked after us. A big well done to all the staff. The rooms were lovely and kept clean on a daily basis. The food was delicious, a different selection every night.More

I used to spend my family holiday in Hurgada but it is the first time to stay in such an amazing place.Jaz aquamarine was an enjoyable experience from A to Z that me and my family have gone through for a couple of days. You could feel how much warm and friendly is everyone since the first moment you step into the hotel. I enjoyed everything;the beach the pools, the calm and clean rooms, the hotel resturants, the hotel lobby. I cant forget how much the hotel staff was caring , kind and very keen to serve us.I am very much grateful to Mr.Kerolos Adel from the reception desk and Mr.Amin from the resturant staff.More

Et væld af muligheder
For english, see below. ENGLISH This hotel has almost everything the heart could desire. We traveled as a family from d. 21/1-16 to d. 28/1-16. Food In this period there were not many guests at the hotel, which meant that many of the restaurant options was only available in a limited fashion. Nonetheless, there ware a great selection of food in the form of various buffets (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and a lot of snack options. If you had allergies, you could contact the staff in the main restaurant where they made a sign on which, in Arabic, it said what you were allergic to, so that all staff could help you. The cleaning The room was cleaned daily. We had Tamer to clean our room and there is nothing negative to say about his cleaning. The water, tea and coffee was filled up daily and the towels changed often. He was very thoughtful and would really like to have us just grabbed him if there was something wrong. He also cared about my mother when he heard she had a shock by the towel monkey which hung from the ceiling. Staff Not all staff are equally good at English, but many of them are very good at pulling the those who are in for help so you get the help you need. When they have time they all like to making jokes with the guests - as long as this does not disturb the other guests. Negative The only negative I have to say about the hotel is all the vendors there are walking around the pool area. It was very annoying during 1 hour to be contacted by 4-5 different vendors but all from the same spa place that was on the hotel ground. There were also a number of other vendors who came and disturbed so it was hard just to lie and relax with a book by the pool.More
