A beachside setting and plenty of restaurants get this hotel off to a good start.
There’s a tranquil feel to this hotel, what with the stream and bridges in the palm-filled gardens. Icmeler’s bars and restaurants are less than 5 minutes’ walk away, and the beach is just outside the back door.
You’ve got a great restaurant choice here, including Turkish and seafood à la carte places. And still on the food front, there are some great touches – like the cooling slices of melon handed out by the pool.

Returned on Monday from a 2 week stay and had a great time. We had emailed the hotel before arrival and asked for a top floor room, and we were allocated to room 446 which has lovely views out over the bay. Room was kept spotlessly clean by Sugru, and everything worked as it should, inc aircon, which was definitely needed with temps sound 30 deg! Can't agree with previous reviewers comments about the food, as well as currys and stews etc there was always something cooking on the barbecue and a roasted meat or grilled. Pool area is kept very clean, sunbeds really comfy with thick cushions. We found all the bar staff friendly and helpful, and drinks were as strong as you wanted them to be. If you are reading this review before going make sure you try a Gozleme from the lady in the corner who makes them to order as you wait, they are delicious and just right if you fancy a snack or light lunch. Patisserie area in main lobby does wonderful cakes and pastries, they taste as good as they look for a change. Beach area is clean , although sand is a bit gritty and you might want to take water shoes as there are some rounded rocks to walk over when you get out a bit. The sea was warmer than the outside swimming pool, which was freezing! Used indoor swimming pool which was really warm, and the jacuzzi which was lovely. The only criticism of the indoor pool is that there is no shallow end so some people found it difficult to get out as the have to use the ladder. Icmeler is a nice little resort and it is easy to get onto water taxis to Marmaris or Turunc, both 10lira per person each way. Dolmas also runs to Marmaris every 5 mins . All in all we had a lovely holiday and would recommend this hotel to all our friends.More

Hot under the collar
Oh dear what a big disappointment. Don't know really where to start but I will attempt to give an honest opinion from clients that have visited this hotel many times. My first point will be to the management please do not post a reply containing a bog standard report like we will try next time you visit us, the idea from a 5 star hotel is to have it right first time and not to make excuses after the event so please reply with some honesty. We were a party of 4 adults paid well over £4,500 for this holiday arrived and booked into the hotel reception very good very efficient and quickly shown to our room very nice room now they have updated the bathroom to a waterfall shower cleaned daily the maid Nurcan was excellent, Arrived 29Sep 2014 ave temp 80f first noticed no Air conditioning in the room advised reception and customer relations every other night A.C they must have put it on every other night just to pacify us ,7 nights with no air conditioning, the food was the worst I have encountered in a 5star rated hotel if you like cold chicken Curry cold beef curry chicken stew beef stew turkey stew or any stew you would not go hungry unfortunately our pallet does not stretch to stew for 14 nights at least the soup and salad bar was edible unfortunately soup and any meals you had were only Luke warm, breakfast was OK but the best meals we had were the beef burger &chips from the Ada Bar at lunch not that we are fans of the burger and chips brigade but we needed something that was filling. We decided not to spend to much time in the evening listening to the tripe that was served up called entertainment what a joke it was embarrising to say the least, we decided to spend a bit of time in the Antrium main bar Unfortunately more often than not there was no Air conditioning really uncomfortable and the bar service was nothing short of a disgrace, Songa the young Lady behind the bar thought it was a privallage to give you a cup of coffee that she had personally swilled under the cold tap from a previous client leaving lipstick on the cup this type of washing was standard practice in this bar obviously more noticeable when you observed after having dirty glasses and cups served to you on a regular basis the manager Behig seemed to think that this was ok because he did Serve behind the bar on a number of occasions and must have noticed this practice was evident not forgetting that Songa did finish of the remnants of the silver cup used for shorts/shots of spirits oh dear she forgot to wash this up and used it again for another client. The other issues with this bar were the amount of drinks that were served up incorrectly ask for Wine & Soda get Wine & lemonade ask for a whiskey&a lemonade get Whiskey & Lime this was on a regular basis due to the lack of Understanding from the staff mixing the drinks it was noticed that all these drinks were put down the drain/sink. I am going to finish this review with a couple of positives Eyhun in the Antrium Bar was absolutely fantastic he was one of the few staff in this bar that was proffesional and efficient he complained numerious times about the glasses not being cleaned correctly to Songa and also said that she would be reported if things did not improve in fact I did notice that a lot of the drinks served by this young man he took time out to inspect his cups and glasses to make sure they were clean when he served his clients his English was of a standard above the waiter class and good luck for the future you should be up in the management tier before to long, obviously Erthan is another member of staff who we know from previous visits and he certainly has not lowered his standards. It is very disappointing for our party to put a review like this on this Hotel but standards have certainly dropped considerably over the last couple of years and I don't think we will return.More

Why you should choose Hotel Aqua
Just come home from this hotel in Icmeler, Turkey and I can't fully express the wonderful time that we had. I will start by saying this is a classy hotel, from the inside out . The layout is superb and having been to various Caribbean Islands I have to say that the gardens of the Aqua are equally as good. The care taken by all members of staff to make sure that all guests are looked after and they do this because they genuinely care that your stay with them is a positive outcome. The food is good, the bedrooms are kept immaculate ,the poolside area is spotless as is the rest of the hotel. If you are thinking about venturing out for a little trip , don't miss the little village of Turunc it is a lovely boat ride away. Outside of the hotel there is a lovely restaurant called the Love Boat, do try try it, the food is yummy. We found a hidden gem of a pub called the Secret Garden , it's delightful especially in the evening. All the shops are a little stroll away and your not pestered to buy. I cannot finish this without mentioning the one and only Buddy Holly look alike our waiter Azim he has got to be voted waiter of the year, he was amazing. There are a few negatives, but I think I am a bit picky, so here goes. The alcohol spirits need to be upgraded as I found them a bit nasty. the beach is nothing to write home about. and the spa treatment is a good experience although I found the treatment a bit rough on my body.but overall this Hotel is a wonderful place to holiday, I suggest you give it a try. Oops forgot to mention the entertainment is really good, and also the Hotel jewellers. Is such good value . We'll hope this review gives you a little insight of the Aqua and if you go you won't be disappointedMore

dont know what people are moaning about
Stayed at the aqua last 2 weeks of august traveled with my parents and brother who is in a wheelchair, hotel staff could not do enough for us was given a disabled room which we requested and have to say this was one of the best we have ever had while being aboard. All staff brilliant including entertainment team.my brother cant walk at all and loved going by the pool to watch all the activities but for the first few days we couldnt get near anywhere by the pool but after speaking with the hotel they helped us get a space so my brother could watch as he couldnt be involved he loved watching it and the hotel helped us sort the problem even tho alot of people did moan about this we are not able to just go anywhere due to our circumstances the hotel staff made my brother stay as enjoyable as any one who can sit anywhere around the pool.food really nice had a meal in the a la carte Italian restaurant which was fab and had a lovely night.will definitely be returning next year, and would just like to thank all the staff that helped us.More

Arriving late afternoon, after a long day travelling, check in was painless, and we were settled in our room in time for us to get ready for dinner. The restaurant is divided into small sections each managed by two waiters. The buffet is kept fully stocked, and the quality maintained by the presence of chefs monitoring the state of the varied and numerous dishes on offer. All staff were cheerful, helpful and always willing to help with your needs. The bedrooms are of a good size, well equipped and clean. The mini bar is replenished on a daily basis. Wi-fi is available in all bedrooms and generally around the hotel,s grounds. We visited the Lure a la carte fish restaurant which is al-fresco. There was a good menu on offer, the food was well presented and of a good quality. Our only complaint was that the portions were far too large. Service was of a very high standard. The pool area was kept very clean, and there were a good number of sun beds available, these being supplemented by a large number of sun beds on the private beach twenty metres away. All this made our holiday memorable, and are considering a further visit in 2015.More
