Mirage World

The Mirage World has pools, activities and around-the-world dining, all wrapped up in a close-to-the-beach location.

Set in leafy grounds against a pine-forest backdrop, the Mirage World is pretty easy on the eye. It’s in a great spot, too – a stone’s throw from bars and restaurants, and a minute’s walk from the beach.

This place has just been signed up for the SuneoClub range, so it’s had a top-to-toe makeover for May 2014 – new décor, fresh interiors and a new-and-improved dining scene are all on the list.

I'm 15 and just got back from a 10 night holiday with my mum here and have to say it was better than I expected all the staff were really friendly and when we requested to move rooms we were moved the next day with no hassle. The SuneoClub entertainers were absolutely fantastic. Jens,Debbie,Jimmy and Jasmine made my holiday so much better! Didn't want to leave but all good things come to an end would definatley recommend the beach and Turkish bath :DMore

Seriously avoid this place

We travelled to Mirage World from Istanbul by car with 3 families for 14 hours. The hotel is really claustrophobic, the open area closed by its apartments, there's too much concrete, it's too dry, and no vegetation. The food is below average, my wife's cheddar chees she put on her tomato soup had mold and green fungi growing on it. But the biggest drama of this experience was that at 3pm... when Ms. Emine who is the manager there, told us that due to "an electrical fault", they can not provide us any rooms in the hotel and that they (the tour operator) will separate the 3 families into different hotels around the area (mind you, Apart Hotels, which are Pensions). We were shocked!!!! The hotel owner, with a big grin on his face, told us there's nothing we can do, we continued to refuse their offer and to make the long story short, we were given a place in a hotel called Hotel Tropikal (which is a fantastic hotel I'd recommend between Icmeler and Marmaris, you should check it out). I've left a lot of details out but in summary is avoid Mirage World !!!More

Just a Mirage?!

We were a group of 9 up for a bit of fun and chose the Mirage World, pretty much quickly when we booked it, maybe we should have researched it more fully. I will start out with the good points, as it is probably fair to do that! The rooms themselves were clean and well presented, the swimming pool area too was good...albeit the fact that if you did not get your towels in place by 8am there was no chance of a sun lounger, the 'usual' suspects made sure of that! It is a good location too, if you do not want to go the whole 'all inclusive' way, then there are plenty of restaurants to chose from and bars a plenty. The beach is good with fabulous watersport facilities which we took advantage of. They have a fantastic hairdresser on site, blow dry's for the night out were only £6.00 which was a bargain, and the girls in the party all took advantage of it. The guys enjoyed a shave there too, again around £4.00 so good value. Now the downside and there were a few which actually put the good things in the shade at times. We arrived in the early hours of the morning, and the 'family' of our groups room was not ready, and was very very small. They ended up staying in the room though, as did not want to endure the whole hassle of moving. The food in the restaurant was nothing short of awful. The selection was so limited and it was the same day in day out. If you like chicken then you are ok, but it really lacked any inspiration, and it had the feel of a canteen. The only saving grace was a little waiter by the name of Alican, who made us all so welcome and tried to sort out tables for us. He was a lovely waiter and thoroughly under valued in my mind. Other staff in the restaurant were nothing short of rude to say the least and unhelpful. The worst experience has to be at the bar with a bar staff member. The one in question being Memhet. He has to be the single most rude person I have EVER met in my life. Being all inclusive the bar was free until 1am, after that you could pay for drinks up until 2am. Memhet seemed to have an issue with people having more than one drink on their table as the time grew near to closing, even though we had 'PAID' for our drinks within our hotel package. It would not matter in fact if you had a table full of drinks...you had after all paid for them already. He seemed to object to this, and people waiting to be served at 12.50 a.m. did not get served as Memhet thought it was his divine right to shut the bar when he chose, followed by a glass smashing session because he lost his rag when customers complained. He was totally out of control and rude beyond belief, and I have never experienced anything like it. It was almost like a cabaret show in its worst form! Poor Alican had to clear up after his temper, which worsened my temper in the fact he was being treated nothing more than a skivvy. When we complained to reception, they did not want to even give us his name, (they seemed to close ranks) but I made a point of visiting the manager the next morning, not that anything really changed. Check out got worse. When we arrived we were told that the charge for having a safe in our room was 3L a day. (the first time we have ever been charged for a safe) When we came to check out they tried to tell us that it was 3 Euros a day. We all disputed this, and pointed out they are not even in the European community, so how can they charge in Euros....the staff again were so rude and argumentative - we battled it with them and eventually after producing our original ticket they agreed, but tried to tell us, that their staff would now have to pay the difference, and tried the whole guilt trip on us!! It was nothing short of Astounding!!! As for cleaning of the rooms, our did not get cleaned on 3 occasions, (so 3 days out of 7) I had to call down to get towels, and they never arrived, the best bit was when we were leaving the maid made a point of saying goodbye, obviously in hope of a tip...well the tip is, clean the room if you want a tip! My plan is now to contact the owners of this hotel. On the outside it claims to be a 4 star hotel, in the brochure a 3 star, to be honest it only warrants a 2 star in my mind. Fair enough, if you want a cheapish holiday and you are not bothered about food and service then go ahead stay here, however, I for one will not be returning to the Mirage World and would NOT recommend it. When you walk into reception it gives the impression that it is in fact a beautiful hotel, in my mind it is simply a 'MIRAGE'!More

Perfect location, amazing staff! Brilliant holiday, so sad to leave!

I stayed here with my mum for 2 weeks in august. It was our first time in Turkey and firstly the location of it was great because it was situated on a strip of shops and the beach which was a very short wall away. The hotel itself was recently refurbished in a lovely clean modern way. Some things could have been improved but they're only tiny, picky things like how straight fittings were put on. Our room was a twin room, quite small but fine seeing as you're only sleeping it in, shower was great and bathroom was nice and clean. Cleaners tidied room everyday and changed towels and would always make a pretty design with the blanket which was nice to come up to everyday. Swimming pools were always cleaned in the evenings and we managed to always have sunbeds by 8:00. Staff always helped us to get them and umbrellas if they were stacked too high, always willing to help. Food for me is something I love and the food here was okay. Started to feel repetitive into the second week of our stay but if you're willing to try new things you'll be alright. They was a huge variety but not all of which I chose. There was always someone making eggs how you liked and pancakes (WHICH WERE AMAZING, they tasted so good, probably my favourite food in the hotel). The variety was so large that there was always at least something you would like as obviously it is hard to cater to hundreds of different tastes on a large scale without wasting loads. Always something available all day: breakfast, late breakfast, lunch, snacks, tea & cakes, dinner, night snacks/soup service. Drinks also had a good variety, water, juices, tea, hot chocolate and coffee were available fr self service machines. All soft drinks and alcohol had to be ordered at the bar. Was surprised to see coca cola and not Pepsi at the bar which made me happy! The staff were all so lovely and friendly, always playing around and having a laugh whilst working hard. Mehmet especially was amazing on the bar by the first pool, so funny and hard working! The only female on that bar also was so lovely and sweet. We arrived at around 4:30am and were greeted by the receptionist who was lovely and jokey and the bellboy who carried our bags to our room. Hotel was very clean with cleaners in the room everyday as I said earlier and glasses and plates were always being cleared quickly. On our last few days we had some strong winds (was lovely to have in the heat haha) but they did occasionally blow over glasses by the pool which were cleaned up quickly by staff. Same with some umbrellas blowing over but the staff immediately ran over to check everyone was okay (which they were). They did seem concerned to ensure everyone was having a great, safe time. The entertainment team were the Suneo Club members, I went to a few events. The pool party was greats other entertainment was okay to watch if you had nothing else to do. Always had pool games and things in the pool with the slides. Okay I've rambled so much because I had a lovey time. Will definitely be returning with friends next year! We were so sad to leave but had hugs whilst saying our goodbyes and almost missed our coach because of it haha! I hope to see some of them next year! Wish I was still there!More

Soraya O,

Good hotel

ROOM: Lovely modern newly refurbished room. Request a pool view on a high floor for the best view. Good air con. Very poor sound proofing. Could have done with more than one pillow each. No soap in bathroom. Useful fridge. Nice balcony. Great free wi-fi. FOOD: Good selection of food to choose from. Standard range for all inclusive. Watch out for the constant slippery floor from the leaking bar area in the restaurant , I slipped up and hurt myself and I saw many others do the same. DRINKS: Very poor selection of alcoholic drinks on all inclusive. No cocktails available. Good selection of soft drinks. POOL: Lovely pools and sun terrace. However a little too crowded. Unfortunately to get a sunbed you have to get up by 8:30 each day. Sun beds are very comfortable. STAFF: Friendly and approachable. ENTERTAINMENT: Suneoclub team were good fun. Great range of activities to try. Loved the pool party with live DJ. LOCATION: Very good position, close to shops, bars and beach. Overall a good experience!More
