Set in leafy grounds against a pine-forest backdrop, the Mirage World is pretty easy on the eye. It’s in a great spot, too – a stone’s throw from bars and restaurants, and a minute’s walk from the beach.

This place has just been signed up for the SuneoClub range, so it’s had a top-to-toe makeover for May 2014 – new décor, fresh interiors and a new-and-improved dining scene are all on the list.

Bad in October

Went to mirage on 20th to 31st Oct and didnt realise was end of season! Was not told and was a big let down. Workers jet washing sunbeds down while we was trying to sunbathe and on the phone all the time. The hotel was all inclusive and not even a week into our holiday told us they had no vodka and milk and was lazy until we complained then it magically appeared. Food was shocking. Im not a fussy eater at all but me and my partner both got terrible food poising and had to eat out everyday. Maybe this hotel would be better in the summer season but october they dont care about you at all. The best part about this hotel are the maids working all the time place was spotless. Wouldnt visit here again.More

Never go at the end of october

We were at this hotel 23-30 October 2014 2 adults and 2 children (7&8) This hotel has the potential to be great. The refurb of the rooms is lovely and the facilities are great. However when we went the staff spent the second half of the week packing everything away. We were basically left with inedible food and my children had bread and plain white rice or we went out to eat. We felt like we were a hindrance to the staff at the bar daring to ask for a drink when they were busy on their phone and were honestly quite glad to leave and to get home and have some food that was edible! I like the reviewer below experienced jet washing of sun loungers and a very murky pool which was so bad we booked an excursion so that my children didn't use it until it had been treated. Such a shame when we had been looking forward to our holiday all year. More

Thank You Mirage World For a Great Holiday

We went to this hotel the first two weeks in May and apart from some rainy weather we had a brilliant time in and outside of the hotel. We had a room on 3rd floor opposite the lobby bar and sometimes could be a bit noisy with the animation team some nights if you did want an early night. This had recently been refurbished the only downside as a lot of others have said is that there were no drawers in the room. A bit of a pain but i just got on with it there are a couple of large shelves in the wardrobe so i just put what i would have put in the drawers on the shelves it did not ruin my holiday at all. They have used a lot of l.e.d. in the hotel and bars in Icmeler and the Mirage bar is very good where the lights change on the bar itself. This hotel is in a good location approx 50m from the beach and the beach restaurants. And you can get a water taxi to Marmaris and Turunc. Some reviews say it was all chicken i have to disagree as i found there was always a different meat and fish available. The drinks on all inclusive were of good taste. The owner of the hotel was there most days and was very approachable and asked for feed back as he has spent a lot on the refurbishment and wanted to ensure that every resident was happy . Since we left he has had live bands etc for entertainment as we personally were not impressed with the Suneo Club staff as a lot of older people visit this hotel we found they catered for the younger generation. I would like to say hi and thanks to Mehmet, Suleman, Sadaat and many more the staff and attention at this hotel is A grade and we will return to Mirage World for a small holiday price it was well worth it. We will definitly return thank you Onder for having such a wonderful gem of a hotel.More

A big thanks

Would love to thank everyone at this resort. My family 5 adults and granddaughter sienna age 4 .We stayed in the new block and had a lovely modern room.Everyone one was great, my granddaughter loved one manager Mehmit . He was always smiling and asking was we OK. Bar staff worked hard keeping drinks coming and clearing up.Entertainment staff always energetic we took part in the ice bucket challenge altogether , Fun had by all and for a good cause .Food plentiful. Alcohol was not watered down by any means and staff never said two glasses only which was handy because we took it in turns to go up lol . Granddaughter loved the fact that she could go up and get drink of pop ,juice and water herself as it was self service. Very handy due to the hot weather. We met a lovely family's .Turkey took me by surprise went to Gumbet 15 years ago and it was so so, but Icmeler was lovely so much so we're planning to go back next year . Would recommend the spa on the first day we all had a Turkish bath granddaughter was offered a free chocolate face mask .we spent about £8 each bargain. I would like to say a big thank you to first choice staff everyone we met along our journey and to those behind to scenes .many thanks from Gina ,Carl and family .we will be back B-) xMore

Not a review but my letter of complaint to 1st choice

Sir/ Madam I have just returned from a week at Mirage World Resort, Icmeler Turkey, with my wife and 2 children (12 and 16). I am writing to complain and inform you that we have had the worst holiday experience ever in this week. On arrival we were greeted warmly by Jens from the Animation Team and Souat the Hotel receptionist. We were told that we were one of the last to arrive as the hotel was already half shut and would be closed next week; I did not realise the implication of this at that time and that this would lead to them literally packing the hotel away around us as we were there. The food we experienced on the first day was not great but turned out to be the best day. Having holidayed on an all-inclusive basis for many years in a few different countries, we are used to the choices and recognise that this can be varied and more continental, however this was the worst choice and quality of food we have ever experienced. For the most part it was lukewarm however as the days progressed at some points the food was stone cold and some of the heaters were not turned on. Breakfast was the best meal of the day as we were able to order freshly cooked omelettes and fried eggs and the “flame Grill” provided freshly cooked pancakes. Lunch offered soup, salad and warm food and the outdoor grill. The evening meal was a repeat of lunch with a few bits added and additional pasta, pizza and chips, and freshly cooked flat bread. The outside grill served freshly cooked fish and chicken. This was the case for the first 3 days however after the first day the chips were not served but wedges were available. By day 4 the pancake man at breakfast had disappeared as had the pizza, pasta and wedges. One of the other guests complained about the lack of pancakes and the following morning the omelette chef did provide crepes. At this point the choices were very limited and differed only marginally each day. I complained to the First choice rep on 2 occasions but no improvement happened, in fact the food got worse over the remaining days to the point that we were eating at the pool bar for lunch and dining out in the evenings. The grill was no longer in use for the last 3 days. On our last day we went down to breakfast to order our omelette’s but were informed that there were no eggs. The heated cabinets were also empty apart from bread. There was a small amount of batter which provided about 6 guests with a crepe. One of the other residents had to complain again and they sent someone out to buy some eggs. At this point there was only enough orange juice for 1 glass. When we went down for lunch it was the same case and apart from the soup, which was the same as the previous night, there was a poor selection of food so we went to the pool bar again. This is supposed to serve food until 5pm however at 1pm there were 2 slices of pizza left and no chips. As were being collected at 5:45 for our return transfer we wanted to ensure we had some food so asked for more pizza but were told that there was no more. We asked for more chips which the chef reluctantly agreed to cook. There is also supposed to be cakes at 5pm but when we went in the snack bar it was empty. As to what the “SuneoClub’s signature around-the-world dishes” are, no one staying at our resort could tell. If it was the yellowy green stained chicken they called curry one night, the black porridge with kidney beans at breakfast or the meatballs they served every day we may never know, but it is no part of the world I aim to eat in again. The food is the main disappointment but we were very upset that, having paid a full price for the holiday, the hotel was closing on 31st October, the day after we left. For the whole week it was glaringly obvious that we were not receiving the full package the hotel should have offered, and indeed promised on your website. On the 3rd and 4th day, the pool attendants lined up the empty sunbeds and mattresses and proceeded to power-wash them within 3 metres of us trying to relax on our beds, and began packing up around us. On the penultimate day whilst we were engaging in our animation activities they even walked through our game with the mattresses to store them in the Kids Zone play hut! The swimming pool, due to not being cleaned for 4 days, was thicker and murkier than the soup, however when this was complained about we did see them pouring some chlorine in. As there were limited guests we thought we may experience a better level of service, however this was not the case and the staff spent more time on their mobile phones than providing a service for us. We asked for a cocktail at the pool bar and were reluctantly served by the staff who had to pause the laptop on which they were watching Planet of the Apes at full volume through the bar speakers! On the 4th day they ran out of gas for the soft drink vending machines and were unable to serve soft drinks until bottled coke was brought in they also ran out of draught beer. We thought that this would be the final straw, but they did ensure that a daily supply of bottled beer and soft drinks were available. On the final day we discovered that there was a staff party to celebrate the end of the season. This became apparent as there appeared to be some effort to clean the pool areas and we witnessed some entertainment equipment being delivered whilst waiting for our bus transfer. The couple who left an hour after us whom we saw at the airport said this was being held in the main customer restaurant. I am sorry we left earlier as if we were allowed in, we may have been provided with a decent, hot meal. The saving grace of the holiday was the Animation Team: Jens, Jasmin, Jimmy and Debbie. They could see what was happening in the hotel and did a sterling job of raising the spirits of the guests and working tirelessly through poor weather to ensure that we were still entertained. That, and the Dunkirk spirit of all the guests, meant the week was not a total disaster. I have some photos to back up my complaints but it is very hard to take photos of bad food or even no food. I am upset that it is necessary for me to have to write this but do not want anyone else to experience this poor service. I look forward to a quick response and resolution to this issue.More
