Nice location but outdated and poor service
The quality of the Village hotel itself is probably between 2 and 3 starts. While rooms are clean, they got stuck in 1960s. Staff is collecting food lefts into black bags right where people are eating. No late check out available. Themed restaurants are a joke, although the food is generally good. The "sea view" had a little strip of sea visible even when paid extra - facing the sea does not always mean "sea view" and you have to be 2m+ tall to see any sea from the ground floor "sea view" rooms. In other words Greece at its best/usual and don't expect the quality you'd find in Turkish or Spanish 5 star hotels - miles away. It's OK as long as you understand this. Otherwise, the location is great, water is clean, nice snookering, enjoy it.More
Good atmosphere, terrible food
The atmosphere at the hotel is really nice, loads of small pools, which are quiet and peaceful. The beach is also very nice, and at least for the period of our stay, the water were very calm, which almost felt like another pool :) We stayed at all inclusive package and the only good thing about this was the drinks and the lunch at the beach. The dining rooms where we had breakfast and dinner (you can eat also at the Amilia Mare hotel) had a wide variety of food, but most of it was really terrible. REALLY terrible. The Chinese restaurant (a dinner option)was even worse. The rooms were nice and clean, fairly large, and most of them have sea view which is great. Pros: Nice atmosphere Good rooms Great beach and pools Water slides Cons: Food The pools are sea water poolsMore
We had a wonderful time in Aldemar Paradise Village, the hotel was nice and the food was good. We were afraid that we would get bored at the hotel but we spent time actively especially thanks to wonderful aqua gym classes, aqua zumba and water polo. We also enjoyed the evening shows, the animation team was hilarious,More
Lovely clean hotel
Had a really nice holiday hotel was very clean. Room was with a wonderful sea view and balcony. We went all inclusive . Breakfast was in the restaurant with sea views as was VIP flying with first choice. Breakfast was excellent. As for dinner I did not enjoy was very busy and food .although plenty of choice was not to my liking as nothing really went with anything. We had lunch on the beach but that was only snack food like chips hotdogs burgers etc very repetitive. If we went back again would go bed and breakfast. Beach very crowded but always got a bed. Pool area very nice . Evening entertainment more for children . Nothing to stay up for. All in all lovely hotel. Lovely location and cleanliness top marks. Would have Liked a kettle in the room as was on the top floor. Long way down to fetch a cup of tea . Would definitely returnMore
Got "upgraded" from amelia mare
I stayed with my family- 4 rooms for a whole week. We reserved the Aldemar amelia mare resort sea view rooms- and got "upgraded" to here. They do this all the time! they have only about 19 sea view rooms and book about 50 of them- and when the visitor arrives they get an "upgrade". So the Village- outdated, old, bad beds, not close to 5 star. It was kinda deserted. The food was not pleasant (the breakfast was OK), the fine dining restaurants were terrible! Service was the worse- this upgrade business is a scam and ruined our holiday! next time dont accept a reservation if you dont have the room!More
