Up, Up, Down, Down!!!

Just got back from Aquafantasy for a 1 week stay for 2 adults + 11yr old. We did our homework, had our expectations, and the Aquafantasy resort delivered exactly what it said it would. Good = Huge, clean resort / lots of large pools / free entry waterpark on the doorstep / clean, decent sized carpeted rooms / varied food everyday and night / friendly helpful staff / reps onsite / beautiful SPA / private beach / some good evening entertainment / close to Adaland for a chance to swim with dolphins / close to Kusadasi which is great for its fake designer good haggling market / adult silent pool area Not so good = daytime adult entertainment / not being able to get the Up, Up, Down, Down song out of my head!!!! Ultimately this is an all inclusive resort, some people will always moan about queues, food, rooms etc but if you do your homework, you will know that these things happen. Yes you have to get up early to put a towel on a bed, but you do that everywhere now. Yes some evening entertainment isn't very good, but it's not Las Vegas. Yes you will queue for food sometimes, but it is a very busy large resort with lots of people. Yes you will queue in the waterpark, you queue at every theme park, its no different. Yes there is regular shouting and screaming from the corridors at 3am, but its their holiday too and they choose how they want to experience it. Overall, the Aquafantasy get it pretty close to perfect for an all inclusive. This resort is well worth a visit, especially if you have kids.More

Got back 27 july, Disappointing

Arrived About 1 in the morning after a 4 hour flight, 2 hour+ transfer which wasnt as bad as l thought it would be. 2 adults 6 children ( aged 8 to 20 ) After about 1/2 hour of arriving bell boy showed us to our room. the kettle didnt work no water mini bar locked you cant use the tap water very cloudy, no towels not one ! no shampoo or body gel etc the room didnt feel it had been cleaned or cleaned in a rush. Next morning went to ask about kettle towels at reception, after a little wait and listening to a few people complaining told to go to customer relations who told me to go back to reception! reception told me to go back to my room and house keeping would bring me some towels and replace my kettle, on the way past the bar collect a free bottle of water. after 2 hours went back I was not happy didnt know anything about anything. the man assured me in the little english he could speak it will be sorted straight away he apologised. when I got back i tried to shower using our beech towels the shower head fell off took my middle toe nail with it, water everywhere. 4 times I had to go to reception as they took my old towels but left no clean ones. on the first night my 3 younger children were tired,we watch the children's entertainment about 930 pm it got a bit adulty so we went back to the room (double family with garden views ground floor) I opened the door we had our own private pool! everything soaked including myself. the hotel had sprinklers on full blast on the little grass in between the 15 foot + perimeter fence and the balconies?? swimming pools great and an amazing beach, food was good especially pearl bar. lots of people especially locals walking to the front of the cue, only being told to que up, which was really good. Staff worked really hard and some got a lot of abuse from holiday makers which was just uncalled for and rude. Beach bar amazing, views, people, good atmosphere. We went to watch the African night got a table and we were there a couple of hours before it started, Just as it was about to start it was really busy people every where standing. About 15/20 local people aged about 20/25 demanded 2 tables which the staff got to the amazement of people that had been standing for over an hour and ordered us to move over as they were V I P S ? We were squashed already and had nowhere to move over too! So after about 10/15 minutes of pushing closer and closer and making us feel really uncomfortable ,I got google translator on my phone which read why dont you just join us you can sit on my lap. They left. African night amazing show then a beech rave we really enjoyed this and went the following week. Foam party on the beech everyone had such a good time. Bar staff couldnt do enough. went on excursions Ephesus, night shopping, Pamukkale, boat trip fantastic ended to soon. first choice reps were great The Aquapark was ridiculously busy queued for nearly an hour for the double combo with my son, he was so excited to go on this, the first choice said there were hight restrictions of 140 my son is 151. After queuing an hour we finally got to have a go, only to be stopped by the life guard, he got out a set of scales and ordered us to stand on them one at a time really embarrassing in front of everyone! ( im a size 12 about 91/2 stone) he said no?? I asked why he said no again and refused to let us down. my son was absolutely gutted. We went back about 3 days later we went on some of the over slides, but most you needed a double float which it took over 40 minutes to find as people were taking them back to sun loungers and refusing to let anyone one them. lifeguards were aware but didnt care. The lazy river was a little calmer! My biggest complaint was the lobby bar ,l went up a couple of times only to be ignored by the male bar tenders who only seemed to want to serve anyone else but english people, During the 2 weeks l was there alot of English people had in fact complained but it carried on. I cued for drinks and they ignored me and served the man behind, on the second occasion i went up with my husband they did the same again, l waved and said what about me he said no understand, l would like a drink he carried on severing the people behind. l went straight to customer relations, I saw this happen a few times. Didnt spend much time there anyway as children used this as an indoor play ground playing football not with beech balls but proper footballs! My children brought 2 of the welcome to Turkey CDs ( 1 for themselves 1 to take to school to show and tell ) we just tried them there's nothing on them!! there really upset so are there friends. lm fuming at the end of every night the entertainment team asking everyone to buy them and theres nothing on them !! 60 turkish lira and really upset children! We made the best of this holiday we did have a good time but the above did spoil it. our 4th holiday with first choice Over £8000 this cost.More

What a great two weeks!

We have just returned from a two week holiday at Aqua fantasy, 2 adults and a 15 yr old boy. It was the best holiday ever. Normally I can find fault with things but here there was nothing I can say bad! Staff friendly, very clean hotel, prices reasonable for things outside of all inclusive. Entertainment team try so hard and really are very talented. The Michael Jackson evening was brilliant! Some shows are not brilliant but when trying to entertain the masses you are never going to get it right for all. Couple of constructive criticisms: Steak a la carte was excellent and only cost £8.50 each but book your table for early evening, we didn't realise the A la cartes close at same time as main restaurant (9.30pm) so our 5 course meal, although lovely was very rushed and they were delivering next course before had finished 1st. Sunbeds, although plentiful still get packed and people put their towels down and then disappear for the day. There is nothing hotel can do about this but just wish people were more considerate. Even though we were there for two weeks we only got one a la carte meal included but people who were there for a week got one as well, I would have liked two really so as to try others. If you don't have children or manage to get a break the adult only pool is lovely for some R and R. We didn't really use water park as son preferred the organised activities in the hotel pools. If you want to do water sports then I would advise going further down the beach rather than using hotels ones, we paid half the money further along the beach than was being charged at hotel. Third one along was cheapest but also very friendly man who took me in his boat so I could take pictures of boys out at sea. He was very nice to the 3 of us. There is so much to do here and so many pools that despite my initial fear that it's just too big a hotel nothing ever felt too crowded and with so many staff everything ran brilliantly. More

good place to diet

just came back from aqua fantasy resort and can safely say is the worst resort I have been to in 40 years of holidays abroad the food is terrible most uneatable even in so called alacart restaurants my grandson clothes was falling off him beca use he could not find anything to eat except tiny chips beafburgers or hot dogs which were at pool bar or ice cream which was only availible for 2 hours each day the rest of the time you could buy it he would not eat anything from restaurant the entertainment was very limited dance shows each night for about 45 mins only2 decent show's in 2 weeks the kids club was good as separate English one only small number of English speaking guestsI must add guests from other countries wear verey rude also 3 hour drive from airport which you do not need after 4 hour flight some bars closed early so had long walk if wanted late drink local spirits were very poor and if wanted better had to pay two fifty a drink all in all a very poor ho.I day for nearly 5thousand pound for 3 adults and1child would not recommend this to any one from the Richardson familyMore

Not a 5*

The rooms are clean but basic, do not expect the luxury of a 5* establishment. The hotel is very large and set on a huge plot, there are literally hundreds of people holidaying at the same time! Once we had got our heads around the fact it was not the standard we are used to we tried to see the positives. Great choice of swimming pools and a relatively quiet beach, the book able restaurants were far superior to the 'canteen' style restaurants which were packed and the food was ok but nothing special. The Aquapark was ridiculously busy and you had to queue for ages to go on the popular slides, the lazy river was calmer but not at a weekend! Overall we had a good enough time once we 'slummed it with the rest' We won't return and will not bother with another All Inclusive!More
