We stayed at the end of June 2014, Four adults, 2 children aged 11 and one aged six and a baby. We had a great holiday. The six year old loved the mini cub, there was days she want to go three times a day Aunty Sandra was fantastic, The two eleven year olds were stuck in limbo as they were too cool for mini club but were too young for teen club. The water park was fantastic and the water sports on the private beach are reasonable in price, the peedlos are free. It is also worth getting a treatment done the turkish bath was great. OMG the variety of food, with two main restaurants and pool bars. We fancied the Pearl Bar for lunch with the Kababs and Noodles, lovely. A few nights we visited the Steak House at a supplement which was well work the extra €8 a head for fillet steak dinner and Ceism really could not do enough for us. We took our free Al Carte menu in the Chinese, not really worth it. We did not really take to Simon Sez around the pool a bit pass remarkable did not go down too well with some of our party. The falcon team were brilliant, but really have to hand it to Aunty Sandra and Ceism. We did not really take to the guy going around trying to get you to visit Planet Yucca, we did book for a night but had to cancel as one of the kids were sick and he turned a bit nasty. Watch out for the insect bites. The entertainment was a bit hit and miss, some of the nights the kids were not bothered and did sand art, I know I sound old but a bit more bingo would have gone down the treat. I would recommend aqua fantasy for families. A big thank you to the doctor and a nice fellow (fire fighter I think) from uk who help us out when we had a accident just before we were packing up to go.More

We stayed at the hotel in August ....peak season , we paid A lot of money over £6000 for 3 Adults and a child. What a disappointment ! We travelled with First Choice and were notified 2 weeks before that the transfer details were incorrect, Our transfer time was just over 2 and a half hours not the 50 minutes we were told when we booked, so practically on the coach the amount of time as the flight....they refused to change the holiday as we requested unless we paid another £900 won't be booking with them again. The hotel is basic to say the least, the mini bar is ridiculously expensive , normally wouldn't charge in a 5 star hotel so that was a poor start, as other reviewers have said the restaurants are busy and badly organised , food repetitive and quite often cold but worse than that are the drinks served day and night in plastic beakers that are only rinsed in a sink, often used to play football with as the family who sat in front of us at the pool did. The water is in a dispenser and always warm ......Flies and Mosquitos everywhere, I have never suffered with bites on holiday but was covered as was the rest of my family. On the positive side the water park was fun, the animation team work tirelessly although not always our thing .....they put a lot of effort into ensuring you had fun and the Beach party was a good night. Would we return....definitely not, for what we paid there are a lot nicer hotels in Turkey we have visited a few and this was by far no where near the 5 star we expected.More
Had such a great time here where do I start. Reception were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were clean and spacious. Food was good pretty much the same you would get at most all inclusive holidays. Pools and beach was amazing yes there was kids running around but it's a family resort so don't expect anything different really. The aqua park was amazing and free to use for hotel users. Will be back soonMore

aqua fantasy with an autistic child
We travelled to Aqua Fantasy on the 24th of august 2014 for 11 nts .....family consisting of 3 adults and 3 children , one of whom has special needs including autism. The rooms are very much like travel lodge rooms modern with 2 flatscreen tv's and partioning doors( We had 2 rooms) We stayed in the world side facing the Fontana pool where I think they put all the English guests .The resort is absolutely massive and it takes a lot of time to get use to it!!!!! (We actually went to the meeting and did the tour with the rep which was quite useful ...we don't usually bother ) Having a autistic child with us we tended to move about quite a lot to keep him entertained and to stop the "meltdowns" of which we had quite afew!!!!!!....The waterpark was excellent but way too big and busy , our other 2 boys aged 11 and 13 loved it but it was too big for US to let them go on their own(unlike last years holiday which had a much smaller waterpark and the boys met loads of friends and could come and go as they pleased ) On the subject of friends the boys didn't meet any as the place was way too big !!!!!!...This was a big disappointment and downside as they usually meet loads of friends which makes their holiday.... On to the beach ,..we spent a lot of time there !!!! Thank god for the beach bar where we also spent a lot of time there due to the fact that our autistic son found a new obsession there ...the music speakers and was quite happy to sit near them all day everyday !!!! It is a lovely beach with golden sand but the sea is very murky so don't expect white sand and turquoise sea because it is nothing like that !!!! Perhaps one of the reasons why we probably won't return and the fact that we got loads of mosquitoe bites( I don't usually get bitten !!! But I was the winner with about 40 bites !!!!!)...The foodies ok very repetitive and not always hot .., long queues and way too busy( again very difficult with an autistic child that dosnt like crowds or loud noise ) The spit roast chicken was ourfavourite. The entertainment wasn't up to much really .... my boys just wanted the WiFi Working properly so the could watch films and stuff at night on their iPads but the WiFi was absolutely rubbish !!!!!!...On saying this the best night was the beach party ...amazing ...fire , lazors, cocktails fireshow (outstanding) disco and fireworks ...it is on every other Wednesday night but in opinion it should be on every week as should the foam party!!!!!! Unfortunately we didn't see this as it was on every other Friday and being on an 11 nt holiday it was pool party on our Friday !!!! Another big disappointment as the boys were so looking forward to this highlight!!!!!! .....Loved the 5 star treatment tho ..., free sunbeds on the beach and free beach towels changed every other day I think ...free pedals ( very old could do with new ones ) and free canoes , also free water bottles in your room daily .On the whole it is a lovely place but way to big !!! The staff were brilliant with our son and always high fived him even if it was a million times a day ...they still had the patience ( which was very much appreciated ) Would we go back ???? Not sure really think we need a smaller resort, less hectic with a small waterpark , white sands and clear crystal waters ....on saying all this we did have a lovely holiday with amazing weather!!!!!!More

After reading the reviews I expected more. Ok but probably won't return
We visited Aqua Fantasy for 7 nights from the 11th of September. Our flight out departed at around 7pm and we didn't arrive at the airport until 3am Turkish time due to the ridiculously long transfer. No food or drink had been set aside for us but I was more interested in going to sleep. We booked a double room which had one double and one single but it was not big enough for the 3 of us (me, my mum and my 9 year old son). There was nowhere to store our suitcases and nowhere for us all to store our clothes. On first impressions the room looked ok, but like I said it was very small. We were on the ground floor just behind reception on the world side which was ideally situated for everything. On our first trip to the Fontana pool we struggled to find 3 sunbeds together and walked around for ages looking at a sea of reserved sunbeds. From the second day onwards it appeared that people had left so we were able to find sunbeds more easily. The food was ok. To me breakfast was the worst meal of the day, heavy on egg and not much else. Being a muslim country I knew I wouldn't get the sausages and bacon that I would have liked but their little pink frankfurters really weren't up to much. Lunch and dinner were much better but people always push in and the design of the restaurant means there are people walking in all directions as well as kids running riot. The snack bars provided nice food and you could generally always find something to eat. Upon checking the TV for the days programme at least 4 of our nights were themed 'international dinner' and I do wish that they'd mixed it up a bit. We tried the Chinese restaurant which was nice and despite being by water I didn't get bitten by any mosquitos. In fact I only got bitten once during the whole holiday and my mum wasn't bitten at all but unfortunately my son got bitten a fair few times. We didn't go to any of the shows as I prefer an early night so I can enjoy the next day and they all seemed rubbish. Simon Sez seemed nice enough when I met him but I can't imagine having to listen to him singing all night! The waterpark was very good and my son loved it and was able to go on all the rides. We didn't spend any money over there as we knew it was extra. We always tended to go first thing as it was less busy. We visited Kusadasi market with First Choice and this also included a visit to Sirince and a turkish delight factory. I wouldn't recommend this as you only get an hour at the market which isn't enough time and you are virtually abandoned in Sirince to find your way around the steep winding streets and look at a derelict church. We also independently visited Ephesus, Virgin Mary's house and my mum went on to Artemis and St Johns Basilica. Other than Virgin Mary's house I wouldn't waste my time with the other trips and the day cost us over 400TL once we had paid the taxi driver. We spent around 100TL on extras such as wifi and mini bar which we paid when we checked out. The wifi was awful constantly making you log in and the mini bar was really expensive, 6.50TL for a can of coke. On the way back to Bodrum airport we stopped of at a little shack as a comfort break. They ripped us off and charged us to use the toilet. I can't believe First Choice would stop at such a place and I would recommend that you take snacks for the journey and try not to use the toilet! We arrived at the airport 45 minutes before check in opened and there was no one from first choice to be seen despite promises that they would be outside the terminal. Bodrum airport was so expensive and my Duty Free perfume ended up costing me more than on the high street here. My mistake but I was confused by the exchange rates. Overall the holiday was ok but after reading all of the reviews I expected it to be fantstic. I have been to Turkey before and stayed at the Holiday Village and if you are considering between the two (as we were) I would choose the Holiday Village every time.More
