Very Good Hotel But Room for Improvemenr
Just come back from a week at the Titanic. We hit it lucky with the weather as we missed the storms; it was generally sunny rest of the week though the wind did cool it down considerably on a few days. Summary of hotel as follows:- Rooms - couldn't fault them. Minibar selection not great, but you can always go to bar for a drink of your choice, bathroom adequate and balcony area with drier. Floor carpeted which was nice. Robes and slippers provided. Very clean. Food - again, couldn't fault the food. Always wide choice to suit all tastes, including local, pasta, Chinese, salads, etc.. Patisserie open from 4.30pm to midnight with large selection which changed daily. Drinks - beer (Efes) very drinkable, as was red wine which isn't always the case with holiday hotels. Spirits were decent too, and obviously not the cheapie available brands. Pools - one outdoor pool heated, which got very busy due to the time of year and the fact that the other pools were very cold to say the least! I'm sure in May/June the rest of the pools on the complex will be very popular and you could see the staff ramping up the facilities to get ready for the season. Cleanliness - spotless everywhere. Couldn't fault it. Facilities - played ten pin bowling once which was good. Also plenty of games to borrow to play on bar area. Had a Turkish Bath in the spa on the last day which was excellent, and well worth the money. Football pitch and tennis courts on complex too. Service - this was our only fault. Several times in the restaurant area we were waiting ages to be served by waiters for a drink. Clearly one or two staff short in each hub area, and the ones who were working were often run off their feet. Similarly the bar is under-staffed too. Often I would wait for waiter to come round to no avail, then would go to the bar where one barman was serving 9 or 10 people - really need to improve on this for me, as it is not 5 star or even 4 star compared to other hotels we have been at. Overall - potential to be a great 5 star hotel, but need to improve bar and restaurant service. Would like to go back in May or September some time to see it in full swing regarding all the facilities.More
could not fault it
We stayed as a couple in the middle of March unfortunately arrived to three days of stormy weather. However, this certainly didn't detract from this lovely hotel. We made use of the heated pool in the rain and managed to escape the showers and walk around the hotel grounds which are vast. The indoor bars were lovely and bright and comfortable serving good quality drinks. The restaurant is vast, serving a variation of a similar theme every day. However, the choice was vast and of excellent quality. Even the most fussy eaters would never go hungry. Try the baklava which is to die for and the salad bar is huge. I have never had such good all inclusive food. Despite the weather we managed to walk 36 miles during the week, round the grounds, along the beach and by catching a bus to Old Antalya and the waterfalls. Don't be tempted to get an hotel taxi, they are so expensive. You need to buy a bus card from a shop near the bus stop and you just add credit when you need it. A very cheap way to travel. because we went out of season there were a lot of facilities not yet open but the staff were busy getting everything ready for Easter. Once everything is ready and open this hotel will be awesome. There is only one very small moan and that is if you are a smoker there is no warm and dry areas to have a smoke when the weather is bad. Other than that a perfect week away.More
Me and family have returned from this amazing resort just over a week ago, we are so glad we chose this resort out of all the resorts as it was spotless. The pictures on the websites dont do justice to this place as there is so much more they have on offer than what they show such as several beautiful restaurants, a huge buffet option consisting of a massive selection for breakfast between 7am-10.30am , lunch from 12pm-2.30pm and dinner 6.30pm-9pm they also offer midnight snack options un that same restaurant between 11pm-midnight, the food selection at all time is great including gluten free options which was amazing. They also have other snack bars and restaurants and a la carte restaurants available on resort too. Other facilities they had was a amazing spa, that included a massive gym, vitamin bar, massage rooms, peeling room, outdoor heated pool and heated jacuzzi, steam room, 2x saunas, turkish bath, ice grotto , indoor pool and several jacuzzis both indoor and outdoor, outside of the spa area they do have other several pools and water slides also but with us going in the winter season they was all closed so i can only imagine it being even better in the summer as ot still looked lovely walking past all this and having them as our lovely view from our balcony. Also bearing in mind this is all included in the all inclusive package so there is no extra charge. Other facilities they has was a games room consisting of bowling, pool, arcade, kids disco, bar, table games, cinema, their own shopping mall, wedding facilities, amazing lobby area to chill out in, patisserie to enjoy hot and cold drinks with cakes and sandwiches, their own shisha bar, several outdoor chill out balconies to sit and enjoy the sun with a drink, adults night club, their own huge beach which consists of several outdoor restaurants and bars that is only open in from april -oct. The customer service is very good, especially from the bell boys and maids, room service was spotless everyday , beds were made up , fresh towels everyday, mini bar filled up with water and drinks everyday. Due to having so much to do on resort there is no need to even leave the resort and if you did want to leave all the bazaars are just walking distance outside of the resort and if you did want to go further then the taxi rank is just outside too. Overall we loved this place and are planning to go back again. If you are thinking of booking this place then just do it you want regret it. I did want to include pictires from our time there but TripAdvisor is not allowing me to uplaod any pictures.More
Good hotel but with a few flaws
We are currently staying at the Titanic, having arrived last Friday. The facilities at the hotel are amazing, spotlessly clean. The rooms are well equipped and very comfortable, definitely 5 star. The surrounding grounds are well kept. The beach is very clean, but we were concerned about a few roaming stray dogs that remain on the beach for the day. We have enjoyed the all inclusive food, drinks, patisserie, and night club. However, after 4 days of the same menu lunch and dinner, it is getting monotonous. It is also difficult to get a drink at dinner, where it has taken repeated attempts to get service, and sometimes we have laid our own table, although we feel they are extremely short staffed. A bus stop is outside which will take you into Antalya for shopping- about an hour on the bus, which costs around £1.50 return each. A word of warning, don't exchange your money at reception, as we realised after changing money outside, we had been shorted £2.50 out of £20 and we were not given any receipt. If you have no option, ask the rate and get a receipt. Good hotel for a winter breakMore
