Fantastic hotel

Just returned from a weeks holiday it was fantastic. The hotel is great for kids and adults lots to do rooms are lovely and bright comfy beds. Kkkkkkk, Kathmandu.

The hotel has had plenty if upgrades since my last visit, all of them positive. The hotel is clean and spacious and suitable for family and groups alike. Both the pool and bar areas have been opened up and offer plenty of space, as well as a wide selection of drinks. The restaurant also offers quite a wide assortment, some cooked to order, lots of fruit and desserts. Whilst not amazing it is better than many hotels I have stayed at. The Kathmandu park has plenty of attractions, it used to be included but now there is a charge, even for all inclusive, it is worth it though. Only a couple of minutes walk from the nightlife and beach it is perfectly located, BCM is just round the corner. We stayed in a standard room, whilst not huge, was big enough for two lads. For those with a later flight you can pay to extend your stay, not overly expensive. The only kicker was that the lifts seemed to break down regularly, once whilst we where in it. We where only stuck for around 30 mins but that was enough. I would definately stay again and would recommend it to anyone.More

Very friendly and genuine staff

Recently stayed at the Sol Katmandu. It was an absolute pleasure staying and celebrating my birthday at this hotel. Which was even marked by the hotel with a lovely bottle and birthday cake. Firstly when we arrived the check in service was very quick and friendly. The team worked very quickly to get everyone checked in. We were made to feel welcome at the hotel. It was very clean and tidy. The food within the hotel was lovely and everything was labelled, the chefs were very friendly and loved to have a laugh with the guests. Fresh stake, chicken ect could be ordered and made in front of you. The cleaning team. I believe are one of the greatest assets to this hotel as they are very good at their job. They are very motivated and always smiling and chatting to the guests. One of the things I noticed about this hotel was there was always a cleaner working and always cleaning. The glass doors within the hotel was cleaned from top to bottom everyday, the pool was cleaned every night and even the little things within the rooms such as this screen, mirrors and windows were cleaned every single day. We had a lovely cleaner on floor three who worked very hard each day room 327 was gleaming every single day we returned to the room. One of my biggest fears when coming to this hotel having only stayed in adults only was the children. However having no children we were placed on a wing of the hotel with no children away from the fun areas and pools. Therefore able to enjoy a peaceful relaxing holiday. When we did go down to the pool, there were a number of really good staff looking after the children one boy you could see he was really good at his job. He was able to keep the wildest children under control and well behaved by matching there excitement and brining them back down to a normal level. Even while at the pool side you would notice the cleaners constantly cleaning everything was gleaming. The hotel itself was very peaceful, maybe because of the sheer size. The food service was great because unlike other hotels it is open for 4 - 5 hours meaning there was no rush for food and you wouldn't have to rush back to the hotel for the evening meal, you could really enjoy your day and if you choose to have food in the hotel you would know food would still be on when you got back. I would recommend anyone coming to Magaluf to stay in this hotel if you are looking for a nice hotel that's not full of drunks and you don't mind the sound of children having fun. Thank you for a great experience Sol Katmandu. We never met a single member of staff who was not genuine and friendly throughout our stay. More

Trevor S,

Lovely resort

We stayed here in may with a 3 year old and 6 month old. Overall we loved it, the food was great, it was very clean, our 3 year old loved the entertainment and the rides in the park, we couldn't make the most of the splash park as we had bad weather the whole time we were there. There were only two negative things about the hotel. The rooms weren't big enough especially having a 6 month old. There wasn't any counter space to sterilise and make the bottles so had to be done in the bathroom sink which was very stressful. (I would also recommend taking your own travel kettle as the hotels they supplied us with had a lot of limescale). However the biggest downfall was the noise! Every night we were woken numerous amount of times from 3am until 5.30 am where people were obviously getting in from the magaluf strip. We didn't understand this as it is a family hotel? It was a shame this happened otherwise it would have been a full 5* from us. More

Best accom for families

Sol have got the mix of good accommodation and onsite entertainment just right at this popular resort in Magaluf. The hotel is very central in Magaluf and short walk from the beach. Note it is also very near the resorts BCM heartland for clobbers and young drinkers but you have plenty of other bars and resturants just on your doorstep too.More
