I stayed at the Katmandu for 1 week with family, the rooms were outstanding so clean and modern with a tv with CBeebies on for the little one. The food was lovely, something different every night and all your meats/fish were cooked in front of you to how well you wanted it done. The entertainment was ok it could have done with a bit more dance shoes e.g grease or burlesque, as they just stuck to a magician or 1 singer who varied from the Beatles to titanic.. The pool area was lovely and the bar is in a great place with seats so you can sit in the shade, outside and enjoy a snack. We didn't really adventure round the Katmandu park rides but on a few of the days we went to the water park and the soft play was the little one was frightened off the pool and from what we experienced the staff were lovely and joined in. We had the giant climbing frame outside our balcony so that was good to watch. I would definitely recommend to families and I will be coming back!!More
The worst 2 night stay!
I just left this hotel and I can't believe it's over! It was a nightmare. We were given a room on the 8th floor and ALL the rooms were not sound proof so you literally heard everything happening in the corridor or in other peoples rooms. The room and bathroom were so old and the cleanliness was so poor I felt disgusted sleeping on the bed sheets be user there was. I barrier between the mattress and sheet. It was not a 4 star hotel, it was more of a 2 star or 3! The hotel pictures make you think there is so much for kids to do but the park is so small and the kids area was only limited to one part that was too big for my 2 year old and the pool was too cold for the 28 Celsius weather. The breakfast was ok nothing fancy. One incident was our friend had checked under her pillow and found blood stains and another was 100 euros stolen from my friends wallet when she kept her bag in the room. The safe in the room is not free and you must pay a deposit to get the key to it. Overall, I hated my stay and everyone else that I spoke to agreed and I wounding recommend this play; not even to my enemy. Look else where please. More
Holiday at Katmandu
Sol Katmandu, This is an ideal hotel for children. Room - Basic but clean nice beds wardrobe and a fridge. Bathroom is large. Towels changed when left on the floor. Hairdryer, handwash and shampoo. Decent balcony. Telephone. Food - Pretty good with ample choice every meal. Including fresh fruit and icecream. Great for picky kids too. Staff - All staff seemed friendly had no issues what soever. Facilities - 3 pools (cold but refreshing) including one for the little ones 60cm deep. Pool tables 1 Euro a go. 4 elevators. Free WiFi everywhere. We went out of peak season and it was very quiet, perfect. The evening entertainment was OK a little hit and miss but good enough to keep you amused. The kids disco was slightly repetitive and our little one being 3 was over shadowed by the older attention seeking children but he had fun regardless. Overall I was not blown away but was happy a good hotel for the price. The park - voted the 2nd best amusement park in spain is a bit of a shock as it's not amazing but... it's not bad as it's included in the price. The 4D cinemas are pretty good and the upside down house fun when the animatronics work properly. The water park is freezing but it's great for the kids and the water is only 10cm deep all around so no fear of deep water and children. There are several slides of varying sizes and speeds. The park gets 3 stars from us and the Hotel 3.5 a great trip for young children. More
Perfect family holiday
Ideal holiday to keep 2 adults and an 11yr old happy. 5 minute walk to lovely beach if the pools get too crowded. Plenty of activities from crazy golf to climbing zone or if you want out of the sun, the upside down house was fantastic as was the 3-d interactive shows. Safe environment for kids to move around in as everyone must wear wrist tags to gain entry to complex and attractions. Breakfasts amazing with plenty of fantastic restaurants around complex for lunches/evening mealsMore
We as a family of three found the decor very warn and in desparete need of updating, the hotel was jam packed with running screaming children if all ages just left yo do what they wanted by there families, we would not reccomend it if you don't like crouched areas . Bar staff very rude and seemed annoyed every time you went yor a drink horrible.More
