Duped about closed waterpark

The main reason we booked this hotel was because of the well advertised waterpark feature. Bizarrely this had been prematurely closed for the remainder of the season, yet neither the brochure nor booking process made no mention of this important fact. One of our two ninth floor rooms disgustingly stank of stale cigarettes for the entire stay and the bedsheets were not changed until the day before we left. Water pressure was so low it took at least 45 minutes to run a bath and shower was equally disappointing Queues for drinks were normally in excess of 10 minutes Apart from that, the food was good, albeit half of the meat, vegatables and fish were battered and your plate would constantly disappear if you went to get a drinkMore

Sol Katmandu in October

We had a fab time at this resort. Our stay was in October 2015 so the weather wasn't really with us. I would give serious consideration about booking in October as you might not get sun. Out of the 7 days we only had 1 day of sun (pot luck). The other thing with travelling to Magaluf in October is the resort starts to close up. If you take both of them into consideration and are happy to take the risk you can have a good time. Hotel and park was fab. The good thing with going in October is very few drunk teenagers and the queuing is almost non existent. The on site park is cool, beach area is good. Food is all OK. Becomes repetitive but you get that wherever you go. Swimming pool was cold.More

Amazing Halloween

We had an amazing half term week away. The hotel staff could have been forgiven for letting things slide as it was their last week open this year, but they kept up the standards till the end. The entertainments team in particular put on a brilliant Halloween show and our two boys (7and 2) had the best Halloween. Thank you allMore

A Good Holiday for the Kids

I visited the Sol Katmandu in May of 2015 for a week with my wife and 5 year old granddaughter. The rooms were clean with a small fridge, small balcony and small wardrobe. The fact is, the room was small too which made it a little cramped for three people but may have been OK for two. There definitely was not enough storage space to unpack three cases into. There are three pools which are very good and the poolside area is also very good with two bars serving drinks, snacks etc. We were all inclusive and found the drinks to be of an OK quality although nothing branded was served. The food was really quite good and varied with chefs cooking up fresh meats etc although it was the usual buffet style restaurant. The theme park which is includes free rides on everything (apart from crazy golf which we found odd), is pretty good too and has something for everyone so we spent a fair bit of time between the pools and theme park. Some residents we were talking to were half board and they commented that the drinks were pretty expensive to buy so something to take note of. We would probably return to this hotel if going back to this area despite the smallish rooms. Overall score 14 out of 20More

Only stayed bed and breakfast

We stayed here for the half term, for halloween we only stayed b and b this time as the food was not very good last time we stayed here in May. Bed and Breakfast is adequate enough as plenty of good reasonable priced places to eat nearby, even at the end of October. We did not stay in the hotel for halloween, but there were lots of spanish people who were given a good deal by the sol group, who arrived for halloween, it did look like they all had a good time, plenty of fancy dress by children and adults. We were glad we didnt stay half board as the queue for evening meal on halloween night was very long. The hotel certainly kept everyone well entertained.More
