Rachel Louise H,
A belated review as I lost the staff names list but as we prepare our next holiday I feel I owe it to give this hotel credit, they worked hard for our pleasure. Firstly I wanna just say to all the cynics that you get what you pay for.... The reception staff were more than friendly and welcoming, always willing to help. We had a small clean room that was well maintained. The entertainment was passable and so were the bar staff. Food was as you'd expect - average. People don't understand the effort that goes in to preparing so much for so many with only 24 hours in a day, could you do that day in day out? Don't be deluded. The park staff were fantastic, especially PR. In summary, for a mid-priced family hotel they served brilliantly. No such thing as perfect!More
Bad arrival... wonderful holiday!
Upon arrival to Sol Katmandu late on the night/early morning... with a baby and a few young children you'd think the hotel would rush to get us in... Complete opposite. Whilst trying to check in.. we was told our family room hadn't been booked and that one family hadnt paid anything... considering we had all the paperwork and transactions to prove we was told that a family of two children a baby and two parents had to be split into two rooms for the one night.. not a good way to start our holiday, after a rubbish nights sleep with how angry we were we finally got the rooms sorted after a few hours of arguments with reception staff... after all the commotion and stress we finally got the family room.. which was small but so were all the others the rest of the family stayed in, compensation was given by the hotel(wasnt much) very reluctantly after trying to get hold of our "rep" for 3 who just wasnt interested. Food was average. Could've catered for vegetarians a bit better other than that i expected nothing more than what was provided. Good interaction with kids, lots of fun stuff to do onsite! Poolside was lovely, waterpark was great fun for the kids (and adultsð). Evening entertainment was really good. Lovely atmosphere all day and night long and was never bored. Afternoon snack bar by the pool was delicious!! Overall a lovely family holiday! More
Nice hotel but the room was a bit small The food was excellent plenty of selection The swimming pool is clean with a life guard on duty Evening entertainment is mainly designed for children and the bars shut at midnight but the strip is not farMore
Visited here 4 yrs ago and loved it,before the take over of the parks or returned .the food was a disgrace, cost us a fortune to eat elsewhere.almost half the park was closed or we had to pay to upgrade, even although we were all inclusive.sometimes we were having to stand in queues up to 15 minutes to get into the Restuarant .They don't cater for us British, although a few members of staff did say the lack of "food choice" is because it's end of season so they were using up what they had before closing!!! Pizza or pasta day & night was my limited choice and toast/ roll with jam for breakfast.we were refused food within the park asked to pay for chips & hotdog,,thought this would be in our " all inclusive" package but no!! Go to the Restuarant and there's food there, this consisted of rolls with meat, bread with cheese, yogurt and fruit, not my idea of a late lunch/ snack.we certainly won't be back.the bedroom walls were covered in dirty marks too sofas in the reception area all ripped and leather flaking off them.what a total dissapointment.More
