This one’s a great all-rounder, with fantastic Med views, waterfront restaurants and plenty of bars.
This hotel is blessed with good looks, all the way from the bougainvillea-draped buildings to the mountain backdrop. The Med is mere footsteps away, while both Marmaris and Icmeler are just 5 to 10 minutes’ drive from here.
The sea views aren’t wasted here – the buffet restaurant drinks them in, while the seafood à la carte nudges the waterfront. There’s a great choice of bars, while the pool set-up includes one that comes with slides.

Definitely not a 5 star
We visited grand yacizi mares from 29 September- 6 October. We arrived 1am and was taken to our 'room' which turned out to be a bungalow this is not very clear when booking anyways we upgraded and paid extra for a room in the main hotel. The hotel food was ok there was a variety of different foods however let me just point out the receptionist and the hotel her name is MARIYAH is one of the RUDEST staff I have ever come across was not very helpful at all, always had a angry look to her and just moaned and pushed all our papers on to the floor when we asked her if she can. Give our transfer a call she said she couldn't do this and there would be a charge if she did however none of the other members seemed to help out us out. Also the hotel didn't provide an iron which is odd for a '5 star' even though we didn't mind paying extra to get access to an iron. I would definitely not recommend this hotel and would definitely not visit it again. Poor poor service. More
We were very happy with the location. The check in was efficient and quick. The rooms and corridors were tired and the coat hangers space. The food and choice was amazing.Agit out waiter was briilliant. We all had various dietary needs and this staff could not have been more helpful. We always found plenty to eat.The walk between Marmaris and Ichmeler is beautiful. We had to change rooms because the outside villa steps were too much for a disabled member of out party but the hotel had kindly upgraded us.The room change was quick and efficient. We would definitely return.More

Far from the perfect honeymoon hotel
Our honeymoon/holiday review We had lots of things go wrong during our stay which all mounted up to cause distress and spoil which should have been a very happy time for us, the most important point for us even although the list is long, was that a very sentimental item was removed by the cleaner from our room and not returned. We spotted this very quickly and informed the guest relation staff who were totally useless and really didnât help all they would say is that the cleaner had checked the room which we had ourselves had done, but after complaining a few times during the week, one of the guest relations then said that our room number must have been wrong as we didnât have a child staying with us ?, and that they would have the laundry searched and get back to us. Still no contact was received and even after once again complaining they said that the cleaner wouldnât have stolen the toy and that they would take our address but that was all that could be done. No apologies were given. Following the first complaint our room wasnât cleaned for two days. During the first day or so the press stories from back home regarding the problems with the entertainment team pulling a isis style stunt started to surface, this caused a lot of tension and some arguments between some of the guests and staff around the reception area and pool area, no feedback from the management came and the entertainment team following this were changed and very scaled back, sometimes only doing one song and a dance of âfollow the leaderâ and disappearing for the rest of the day with some days not even appearing for even this normal dance. They even did this âfollow my leaderâ dance on our last day at the hotel in front of the swimming pool which had been closed off with hazard tape around it following the third event of someone defecating into it. This main swimming pool had to be closed on 3 days out of five due to someone defecating again in the pool. This usually would close the pool for the rest of the day until the next morning so that cleaning and chemicals used could work, some tests were done on the water and the pool seemed to get the all clear the next day but during the last event of this, after lots of the guests complaints and the uproar so bad that the staff simply reopened the pool less than two hours after the dirt was removed. The health and safety seen was even for Turkey standards very poor, a Glass door which had been smashed with glass flying everywhere and with one person requiring first aid and a laundry cart used to take the glass away from the area, This door stayed taped up with sharp broken glass still on show 5 days after the incident (see photos attached taken before we left the hotel). On another occasion a child managed to fall from a first floor balcony luckily a tree and bush broke his fall before he landed on the ground. A hotel worker lifted him up by the arms and legs and other hotel people aided to take him into the reception area, hotel guests where screaming at the staff to leave the injured child until trained emergency people could attend to him but we're told that they knew what they were doing. Nothing was said about the condition of the child but he had a very large bump on the head and what looked possibly like a broken foot. Cannabis plants could clearly be seen growing next to pathways along the route to the villa area (see photos attached). One member of the bar staff totally ignored our request on the first night to be served although other staff were very nice and served us with no problems this member thought he would be rude to us and then joked with another member of staff right in front of us while he pointed at us. We also had an 8pm transfer time and had pre-booked a late check-out with 2bookaholiday but the hotel refused this late checkout unless we paid £35 for 4 hours room use. The network of paths around the villas were small but that didn't stop staff which included hotel management speeding around them in carts and a car, forcing guests including us to jump out the way of these cars etc. without the staff even slowing down or giving any type of warning. After looking forward to a great honeymoon in Turkey a place we both love and have been to both twice. We feel so disappointed coming home with these our memories instead of the ones we had hoped for. We have held back from posting this review to allow the hotel and booking agents to reply to our complaints, they have decided that they had dealt with our comments at the time, (which they didnt) That the entertainment program was good, (we werent the only people to complain about this and its shocking thing to say this after the newpaper reports regarding the isis stunt they had pulled) That no cannabis was being growed onsite (please see attached photos) That staff are trained in health and safety (Ha)More

Lots of plus points
Just returned from 2 weeks at this hotel. Location is fantastic. Had a problem with our accommodation on arrival as our small balcony/terrace was used as access to next door room on one side and open stairs on other giving no privacy at all. First week was OK as no guests in next room but second week. people were and we had to keep our curtains closed for privacy. However spoke to reception and were moved with no problem. There are quite a few of this sort of room so best to check. We found the staff as a whole very friendly and helpful. We would mention Agid and Mehmett in the dining room and our lovely housekeeper. The food was well presented and plenty of choice in fact compared to other all inclusives we have visited it was by far the best. On entering the dining room there is a written dress code request but this was ignored. Bare sweaty flesh from the sunbed is not an appetiser. Big plus is free safe in room. Also must mention hotel customer relations lady who was very helpful.More

Lovely setting and good value
The hotel staff are very friendly and polite, the food was plentiful and varied, the Turkish pancakes are fantastic! The pizza restaurant was very good for lunch and dinner. Our room was on the 4th floor with a great view of Marmaris. The hotel is clean and well presented. Well worth the money.More
