This hotel pulls out all the stops – it has 7 pools, including a lazy river, plus a quartet of restaurants.
Location-wise, this hotel makes things easy. Just over the road – about 5 minutes’ walk – is a sandy beach with super-shallow water. And less than 10 minutes by cab or bus gets you to lively Ayia Napa.
The hotel is big on pools – 7 in all, including one just for adults, and a family-friendly lazy river. The restaurant scene ticks off 4 places, one of which is a retro-style diner. There’s a great bar for cocktails, too.

4th time to this hotel but time to move on.
We have just come back from a week all inclusive stay at the Olympic lagoon in Cyprus, this is one of our favourite hotels, we have been 4 times. So why just the average review this time after reviewing it excellent before? Let's start: The hotel itself is great, very clean, lots of amenities, friendly and helpful staff. Special mentions to "Steve and Valentinos who remembered us from our Easter stay" The locality of the hotel is great! A short bus ride â¬1.5 to town or â¬6 in a taxi. A local beach across the road which is beautiful. Shops and restaurants very local. Lovely weather in its 30's everyday. So why average this time? Room 148 facing the road " not a problem we paid cheap so we didn't expect a pool view" however when we arrived we were shown to our room by Mark(again great service) but the room had an overpowering smell of damp. During the week I worked it out to be coming from the bathroom! Where in the bathroom who knows? This was just liveable if you kept the bathroom door shut so we didn't complain. Next was the food, which in my opinion the quality and range has dropped off since our last stay. Why is it that hotels abroad don't do English bacon? When the local bar does? I know they are carting for European taste but the breakfast menu was poor if you didn't like the European breakfast. We didn't do lunch much choosing to eat the sandwiches on offer from the bar, so the evening meal was our main meal which changed day to day menu wise, but was of a poor quality so I felt a little let down and my only good meal was when we went out for the evening. Finally my last piece of advice for any couple wanting a relaxed holiday in the sun! And I'm sure you can generalise this anywhere not just the Olympic lagoon - holidaying in September does mean no children! Not entirely true there are less children but more toddlers and babies. Also as this is a wedding venue hotel they were well over booked on weddings. The only day we didn't see a wedding was Sunday? One day we witnessed 4 weddings. They were very nice and I would like to congratulate anyone having had a wedding this last week. However as a small family me,wife & daughter(18) we found that the pool side was over crowded with large families that seemed to overtake the place, sometimes very intimidating. I over heard one guest talking about having 140 members of her family coming to her wedding! On some days we when we stayed by the pool we found ourselves sat between family's being talked over! Very off putting. I feel the hotel let themselves down here 1st by overbooking on weddings and 2nd by not managing their guest room allocation correctly, as the Olympic has the olympic bay and fisherman's village they should have either moved the wedding parties into these areas or moved the other guests (not attending weddings? I think there might have been about 3 families) It's sad to think that we won't be going back to this hotel as we do love it and even with the odd wedding it can be manageable, but this time it was too much. So we will be looking for adult only hotels without wedding services available. Hope this helps someone make up their mind? Incidentally if you are a big family looking for a great wedding venue abroad then the Olympic lagoon is for you! It's a beautiful venue that will give you a day to remember, just remember that other guests are there on holiday too. :-)More

Really nice resort. We stayed in one of the bungalow with a garden. Well I say garden its a patch of grass but that didn't bother us. The Entertainment Team here is first class. The Team work tirelessly throughout the day and night to entertain all ages. The shows that they put on themselves are excellent, no sooner have they finished 45 minutes of dancing their socks off and singing to well put together shows, they are literally started the next part of the evening i.e karaoke, disco, quiz. They always have smiles on their faces and very chatty and approachable. Food was good and varied, my only gripe was that there isn't enough snacks available pool-side. You will have to get dried off, dressed and walk up to the main dining hall and there is no waiter/waitress service in the bar in the evenings. The Kids Club was very professional and again offers many varied activities, special mention to Coral, Rhian, Daisy, Emelie and Julia. For the older kids they will love the Teenz Club - a very swish state of the art games area. Staff speak good English and again very friendly and obliging. We felt very rested after this holiday and would recommend to friends and family.More

Wow wow and more wow. Fab holiday
Just back from two amazing weeks at the olympic lagoon resort. We stayed in the fishermans village, real taste of luxury. The resort lived upto it's great reputation, never seen such a clean well maintained hotel, gardens were lovely and well kept. Our room was fab, lovely 4 poster king sized+ bed with Egyptian cotton sheets! jacuzzi bath! balcony overlooking the pool! air con that works. The fishermans pool was fantastic, so clean and cool. Plenty room no issues with sunbeds, total relaxation. Pool side waiter service, cold towels twice a day, fresh fruit, cakes they even come round and clean your sunglasses...fantastic service. The staff are amazing, real credit to the hotel, everyone without fail could not do enough to help, always smiling and chatty. The hotel reception is so smooth and well run. Food was great, always plenty to choose each day in the main buffet, salads, mains and pizza n chips if that's what you like. We used all 4 restaurants, Meze was fab but to much food for two, Japanese and American diner good to. Entertainment...best I have seen at a hotel, many thanks to Lucy, Ollie and the team for some great shows, really talented group. Only one real complaint, please please don't allow cats in the dining area, although some folk like them others like my wife have severe cat allergy and we certainly don't think it hygienic to allow them to wander about the tables. Staff did try their best to whoosh them away but other guests were feeding them at the tables then eating their dinner...yuk We will certainly be back to this lovely resort, total relaxation and luxury, recommend to anyone, Fishermans village we'll worth the extra price,More

Everything about this resort is fantastic,we could not fault a single thing, food, entertainment, pools all brilliant, lovely and clean everywhere, all staff so friendly.weather was fantastic! would recommend this resort to anyone, and would go back anytime. we are going back to cyprus in october, but unfortunately couldnt afford to stay at the olympic resort this time. But hopefully will save up for next year!More

Struggle to find a fault
Just returned from 7 nights here for a friends wedding and all I can say is what a hotel! I would seriously struggle to find a 'proper' fault here - lack of English tv channels is the major thing, along with some algae on the childrens pirate ship but otherwise it's fantastic and fully deserves it 5* rating. We stayed in a bungalow with private garden and it suited us perfectly was comfortable and plenty of space. Great location within the hotel grounds too. The pools are exceptional and they have an adults only pool too. The lazy river is very relaxing and they let the little ones on with you too. The food is fantastic so much choice and freshly cooked. Never a complaint about this. That is the main restaurant. We only tried the American diner for the other places and we did feel a bit rushed in here with the service etc, but it was nice food. The entertainment is great, even for the little ones, great prize bingo gets big jackpots at times, and the hotel staff are extremely polite and can't do enough for you - poolside service cleaning your glasses at times. I would not think twice about staying here again in the future.More
