This hotel pulls out all the stops – it has 7 pools, including a lazy river, plus a quartet of restaurants.
Location-wise, this hotel makes things easy. Just over the road – about 5 minutes’ walk – is a sandy beach with super-shallow water. And less than 10 minutes by cab or bus gets you to lively Ayia Napa.
The hotel is big on pools – 7 in all, including one just for adults, and a family-friendly lazy river. The restaurant scene ticks off 4 places, one of which is a retro-style diner. There’s a great bar for cocktails, too.

Lovely hotel but not worth the money at all!
Firstly I am not a snob and I always look at reviews before staying anywhere abroad and think how can those people that wrote anything bad complain as the hotel was great. So we arrive at the hotel Olympic Lagoon Resort and it looks amazing, we get to our room and its okay, quite small got everything we needed really and the bed was the most comfortable bed ever so that was great. The next day we decide to go look around the pools which stated there was 5 pools in total actually there was 3 pools in total and one was inside and a lazy river that didn't have enough jets in it to move. Moving on to the food and drinks, there are 3 restaurants on site the American Diner which you can go to whenever you like however many days you like and a sushi and Cypriot restaurant which you can only visit once a week (anymore and you have to pay). The main restaurant which you pay for all inclusive has the exact same food everyday (like most hotels) although its stated that there are different theme nights. The best thing was the omelettes which are cooked for you (the lady who serves was lovely). The sushi restaurant was lovely (if you like that kind of food) but if you are going the hottest part of the year I would recommend wearing practically no clothes! It was that hot! The Cypriot restaurant was okay (if you like that kind of food). The all inclusive drinks (cocktails) were okay not great but better than most hotels I've stayed in, not sure about spirits and stuff as these tend to taste like petrol to me (local spirits used). The most disappointing thing was they do not do any sandwiches by the pool or baguettes/jacket potatoes etc. They have a little hut by the kids pool which have a few stale sandwiches but that is all. The evening entertainment was terrible which basically ruined our holiday as most nights we just stayed in our room with the door shut to block out the horrendous singing. Every night was the animation team no tribute acts or anything like that, which is surprising for the amount of money we paid to stay in the hotel like this you would have thought they could afford to do that. This hotel is mainly for weddings, large groups and family's with small children. I would not recommend for couples or with a friend. If you are planning to get married here I would recommend you know exactly what you are going to get before you book, as we saw up to 4 weddings on one day. Any one going round the lazy river can see a clear view into the ceremony, after the wedding the Bride and groom have to walk past the adults pool while everyone is there sunbathing. Guests from the wedding was saying they was jealous of us sunbathing and in the pool as it was so hot and everyone was sweating. One wedding reception was in the middle of the adults pool which just looked ridiculous, it was situated right next to the evening entertainment. If you are looking for a wedding to share with strangers this is for you. I would highly recommend seeing the reps to do the quad biking tour this was amazing! Overall the holiday was okay but I would never go back for the price we paid. You don't chose to go all inclusive to eat out and find entertainment else where which was what we had to result to.More
On arrival we got upgraded to the adults only and it was perfect from there on in! Barbara our waitress was so friendly and helpful and we were never without a drink. Could not fault this place. Would definitely go back!More
Lovely hotel !!
Travelled 28 sept - 13th October .. Second time to Cyprus this year we had two weeks in July with our two children /families - this time we bought our son partner and two little ones.. Well what a lovely hotel from the moment you walk in the reception staff are lovely .. The reception manager lady was perfect very friendly helping us to upgrade to a family room with our own little garden facing the gorgeous pool area.. We didn't like our first room in the main hotel .. Abut small and too far away from our son who had a garden room .. Perfect for our morning coffee !! Everything about this hotel is amazing if you are thinking about booking - book it!! Without hesitation!! ðð» The food is lovely - not a huge choice but ample .. The restaurant staff that show you to your tables are absolutely lovely and professional .. There are lots of weddings here but they are all pretty much ' ticked away' you see the odd (very hot) suited and booted people walking around but it's nice to see people happy at weddings so no problem .. You get lots of big groups of people around the pool but again.. Not a problem.. This hotel is in a lovely quiet spot gorgeous little beach right opposite landa beach .. And the busier nissi beach a 10 minute walk .. The beaches are out of this world in Cyprus and never too overcrowded .. Ayia Napa is half an hour up the road with millions of great shops restaurants and bars - great fun - gets busy at night but daytime perfect which is why this hotel is in such a perfect position.. Away from the hustle and bustle The hotel itself has lots of relaxing areas and a lazy river for a change .. We said we would deff come back but if just the two of us we would stay in the fisherman village as we asked to have a look and it looks amazing perfect!! But we loved our little room and to walk out of our little garden every morning around the gorgeous surroundings to head for breakfast was so relaxing .. We hired a buggy for 4 days which was SO much fun exploring the surrounding areas for example the Cape Greco caves (google it) was amazing the views and watching people jump in wow We also hired a boat and went around the coast all the way to famagusta ! Was the best day ever so much fun - hired the boat from landa beach If you want to do the famagusta trip go with Mr John !!!! He lived there with his family as a child so his knowledge of the story is amazing and much more personal than the other coach trips - you won't be disappointed The first trip in July was very very hot spent all day in the pool .. This time of year oct first two weeks was still lovely and warm but more bearable so you could explore / walk around more .. But the pool was a lot colder The bar staff are very friendly funny and happy ! Thank you for making us feel so welcome !! As you can tell we loved this hotel and will definitely return - our son said the same Don't hesitate - book it !More
Very lovely resort
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Olympic Lagoon. I attended a wedding over a long weekend and it was the last weekend of the season. Stayed at the Fisherman's village which was really nice. The food was ok. I all a good resort. More
Fishermans Village is first class
Visited this hotel in October for the 7th time. As in previous visits the staff make this hotel the best we've been to. Food fantastic best all inclusive ever. Cyprus is a magical place, sea is so clear and warm and the people so friendly. Cant wait to go back just wish the hotel stayed open all year round as would definitely visit during the winter.More
