Olympic Lagoon

This place doesn't do things by halves. On top of a jumbo lagoon-style outdoor pool, there are 5 more, including an adults-only one, plus a winding lazy river. It snakes its way through picture-perfect gardens that stretch over several acres. And as well as an al fresco buffet restaurant with pool views, there are 5 dining options. That includes a Rock 'n' Roll Diner that's decked out in Fifties' chic – we're talking checkerboard floor and jukebox. As for the beach, it's a 5-minute stroll, and there's public transport that runs there every half hour.

All Round Excellence

We stayed at the Olympic Lagoon for one week and can honestly say you would be hard pressed to find a more relaxing place. Couldn't fault the place - staff are genuinely interested in making your stay perfect. Food was delicious and good to see that there was so much Cypriot food available to try rather than the piled high school dinner style buffets of some all-inclusive hotels. Enjoyed the choice of restaurants - the Taverna food is fantastic and seemed authentic; the Sushi restaurant was a first for us and was a great experience. The pervading atmosphere throughout the hotel was of complete calm which we know doesn't just happen, that has to be down to all staff working hard to make guests feel as if nothing was too much trouble for them - you got the feeling that they too were very proud of their hotel (and they have every reason to be). One of the members of staff in the Taverna said that majority of their guests were repeat visitors, we will be adding ourselves to that number. The drinks party was a lovely touch - another good way of finding out what guests thought of the place. Our only gripe was outdoor pools are very cold - indoor pool is heated. The hotel has an excellent customer service model - other hotels should take note.More

Third visit gets even better

Firstly I have to mention Ele the guest relations officer. She is one in a million and a credit to the Kanika Group. She always works tirelessly and really goes above and beyond for you. In fact all the staff are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. The entertainment team are also AMAZING. I'm not usually one for the hotel cabaret type thing but the team work hard all day for all the guests with various activities and still there until 11pm putting on great shows. The food is fantastic, the complex is well thought out as there's an area to sunbath in or relax in, swim in or go have a drink in to suit everyone's tastes. Last but not least the bar staff and my good friend who I could spend hours just having banter with at the pool bar Valentinos. 10/10 from me. Cheers and look forward to seeing you all again soon. wedding venue

Went here for my sons wedding and it was fantastic. The setting and the hotel are amazing. The staff were some of the best , friendly and attentive i have known even cruises i have been on dont match up to the staff here. The breakfast was ok , if you like full english you will struggle, bacon, sausage not brilliant and no mushrooms or black pudding etc. Lunch and evening meal were excellent and japanese and mese restaurants were nice. Rooms were excellent though view from our room was of the dual carriage way running in front of hotel and some nights were noisy with traffic. My wife had her hair and makeup done in salon. Make up artist was nice but hair stylists were rude arrogant and at one point while dealing with a ladies son who appeared to be autistic were disgraceful. The lady was none enlish speaking and they openly talked about her and her sons condition in a derogertory way. What ever hair style you requested there seamed some reason why it was not possable and everyones hair looked the same. The hotel need to look at the people running the salon after the hard work the rest of the staff put in it is a shame these rude people let them down. The wedding day was excellent and once again the staff went above and beyond what was expected of them, many thanks. It was early season and a lot of the dining and entertainment is outside so would be wise to pack a sweater if holidaying april but would go againMore

Amazing hotel with great staff!

We have just got back from a two week holiday at the Olympic Lagoon to celebrate my brother's wedding and I have to say it is the best all inclusive resort I have been to. The hotel and facilities were very clean and the food was great with lots of variety. Our stay was enhanced by the amazing staff in every single department! The lovely bar staff, friendly and hardworking entertainment team and the restaurant staff, who always had a smile on their face. To name a select few members of staff: Natassa from the bar team was amazing, Sarah from the Kanika All stars was so friendly and always had time for a chat and Anna Marie was a pleasure at breakfast time. We stayed in room 230, facing the road. Although we thought we wanted a pool view room, we were really happy with our placement as we had a bit more privacy when sitting out on the balcony and could look out over the countryside. Our Thomas Cook rep, Jenn, was amazing too. She provided loads of useful information and helped us to sort out a hire car for 5 days of our stay. This enabled us to see the majority of the sights around the island. She was always interested when we had returned from our adventures - thank you Jenn! If you are looking for a break that is a mix of sun, sea and culture then this hotel is for you. There is loads to see and do around Ayia Napa but if you do hire a car everything is within about a 2 hour drive. The roads are really easy, especially if you are used to driving in the UK. It took us about 50 minutes to get to Nicosia, 2 hours to Troodos, 2 hours to Pafos and just over an hour to Ancient Kourion. All really straightforward to get to, although take a map for Troodos. Thank you to all of the staff that really made our stay special!More
