This hotel pulls out all the stops – it has 7 pools, including a lazy river, plus a quartet of restaurants.
Location-wise, this hotel makes things easy. Just over the road – about 5 minutes’ walk – is a sandy beach with super-shallow water. And less than 10 minutes by cab or bus gets you to lively Ayia Napa.
The hotel is big on pools – 7 in all, including one just for adults, and a family-friendly lazy river. The restaurant scene ticks off 4 places, one of which is a retro-style diner. There’s a great bar for cocktails, too.

We arrived at the Olympic Lagoon Resort on 2nd July and we stayed for 1 week with our 2 boys aged 8 and 13. We got married in Paphos last July as we were getting married. We decided to visit this hotel as we knew what we were getting it was the same as the one in Paphos. We arrived at 10.30pm after the 4 ½ hour flight and 45 mins transfer we were the first drop off on the way which was great. The American diner was open until 11pm so we headed to the room first to drop of our luggage and then thought we will eat after this is sorted. Concierge took us on the buggie round to the room the boys loved this but when we got into the room the air conditioning was not working. As it was our anniversary we had got an anniversary package and there was a bottle of champagne in the room but because the air con was not on the sheets on the bed were wet and you could feel the humidity in the room. We rang reception and they sent someone quiet quickly up to have a look and they couldnât fix it clearly wasnât working properly. We managed to get sorted with another room just down the hall for the night however when we got to the room it only slept 3 people and my husband had to sleep in the room with no air con which was not ideal. We were not going to let this spoil our holiday and before we went to breakfast the next morning an engineer was at the door to fix it. This was the only hiccup we had in the whole week we stayed there. Our room was not as big as the Paphos hotel the boys had bunk beds however my 13 yr old loved the sofa so thatâs were he slept. Our apartment was on the ground floor room no 072 it had a private garden and it backed out onto the kidâs pool which was great it also meant if the boys needed the loo or anything they could go back to the room. The rooms were cleaned everyday everywhere was spotless and when we arrived it wasnât very busy around the pool. There is lots to do for the kids mine went to kids club 3 sessions a day and then the mini disco and the oldest went to teens which you do have to pay 6 euros a day but it is worth it as it is open all day right through until 11pm. They have play stations and all the cool stuff that teens need when they are away from home. The entertainment is really good the Kanika All stars and the Kids / teens club staff are amazing and they do work hard. The pools were big and the kids pool had a pirate ship however there was probably 3 or 4 code reds a day so the pool would be closed for an hour each time. I do wish mums and dads would check the babies nappies and keep an eye on them or even put a nappy on them in the first place. It just means the young kids need to go in the big pools if they want to go in the water and in the heat they need the water. There was 2 Jacuzziâs in the main pool and there was also an adults only pool and area which was nice and quiet. Getting a sun lounger is no problem no real need to get up at stupid o clock and put towels down there is plenty. The hotel also supply towels and the give you pool cards so you can collect them in the morning and hand them back in when you have finished and the smell of the washing powder is amazing lol. There is also a lazy river that goes round the resort past Fishermans village and you can just lie back on your rubber ring and relax and float around the river. The food in the restaurant was good it had kids corner and it was repetitive at times but kids like pizza and nuggets etc. They had themed nights in the restaurant and the food was lovely we had no complaints we ate every meal time. The diner however was not like the one in Paphos the food was not great my eldest son was so excited to get his chicken burger as that is what he had all the time in the last hotel and he was so disappointed to the point where he didnât eat it as it didnât look like chicken or taste like it had a shade of green to it. My husband ordered a burger and it wasnât great either I had a hotdog which was supposed to be a chilli dog it came out with nothing on it. It was disappointing and we never ate in the diner again. A lot of people we spoke to had said the same thing about the diner but they did say the steak was amazing but we didnât attempt it. The was a small snack bar by the pool and the play park which had sandwiches and paniniâs throughout the day. The Japanese restaurant you can book into once during stay if you are staying 1 week and the food is amazing would highly recommend eating there. We had an amazing holiday despite our wee hiccup on the first night it is a lovely hotel the staff work really hard and they are all very friendly and always wanting to help, the restaurant staff always have smiles on their faces they always chat to you and are there if you need anything they work so hard to do the job they do. The entertainment team the shows are great the kids / teens club staff is great with the kids and thatâs all that mattered to us that our boys had a good holiday. We also had access to the spa and it was lovely too. There is a gym in the hotel its basic but did the trick for my husband who used it a few times during our stay. All in all it was an amazing family holiday and I would highly recommend it and Im sure we will return in the future.More

Fabulous in all respects, could be even better if, slightly better wine offering on all inclusive menu, and rooms a little more modern ( but been extra fussy there !) Staff specifially on the bar and restaurants are excellent, nothing a problem, great family holiday.More

Nice but not worth the money sums it up completely. The food is okay, the Asian restaurant is really good. There is a constant stream of weddings which I believe makes it less special for those getting married. The service is good. The walls are thin, so you get woken up early with families with kids, and people smoke in their rooms which means the smoke alarms go off late at night. All in all, it was a decent all inclusive hotel, but not worth the premium paid.More
Very nice and beautiful hotel in Ayia Napa with friendly and polite people to serve and make any wish that you have possible! Its perfect for holidays! Thank you very much for the experience! I will for sure visit again ! I recommend you to stay in the fishermans side it has prive swimming pool and beautiful rooms for couplesMore
I am currently staying here at the fishermans village, yes it's a beautiful setting and I paid a hell a lot of money to stay here. SO WHY are staff NOT doing anything at all about different coloured wristbands staying over here too, enjoying the luxuries we paid a lot of money for and they have paid a lot less to stay in the hotel. Clearly it states as you walk into the fishermans village complex BLUE WRISTBANDS ONLY!!!! Numerous staff walk around all day and don't say anything at all. If I were to come again I would pay a lot less and book the hotel and just abuse the fishermans village hospitality because NO ONE Does or says anythingMore
