Olympic Lagoon

This hotel pulls out all the stops – it has 7 pools, including a lazy river, plus a quartet of restaurants.

Location-wise, this hotel makes things easy. Just over the road – about 5 minutes’ walk – is a sandy beach with super-shallow water. And less than 10 minutes by cab or bus gets you to lively Ayia Napa.

The hotel is big on pools – 7 in all, including one just for adults, and a family-friendly lazy river. The restaurant scene ticks off 4 places, one of which is a retro-style diner. There’s a great bar for cocktails, too.

Mark F,

Best holiday ever!

Where do I start! We chose this hotel as we were not only looking for a holiday location, but a wedding location too. This place turned out to be perfect. The staff were brilliant, they couldn't do enough for us. There were so many workers there who really went the extra mile and made us feel extremely welcome and appreciated as a customer. The wedding venue was beautiful and the day ran smoothly, there is a lot to do at the hotel (different pools, restaurants, seating areas etc) so we never got bored or really felt the need to leave the hotel, which is what you want when you are all inclusive. I really can't praise this place enough and I'll be sure to return. It's not cheap to stay here but you get what you pay for and I would definitely say that it's worth the extra cash.More

Excellent Hotel that caters for all

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks in June for a family wedding and had a fantastic time. The setting is great and facilities offer something for everyone. We were a party that aged from 2 years to 60+ and we all enjoyed the holiday. The food was varied and always fresh and tasty. The staff are friendly and very helpful and the hotel was always clean and tidy. The kids club and the Teenz club kept our boys entertained, in particular, Vinny the football coach. He is a real asset to the hotel for anyone with soccer mad kids with his knowledge of coaching football and has a genuine interest in the childrens development. We look forward to going back again next year!More

Amazing Hotel with amazing staff and facilities. Great location for our wedding

We came here July 2015 for a 2 week holiday and also for me and my fiancee to get married. There were 14 of us in total staying at this hotel, but i will focus this review solely on my experience of the hotel, as other members of the party will also write reviews. I was here with my wife and son who was 21 months old at the time. On arrival / Check in Greeted by plenty of friendly staff who went out their way to accommodate us. The porters and Check in desk staff were polite, friendly and spoke good English. We were upgraded to a pool view room as we were the wedding couple. Due to our arrival time, the all inclusive had finished (11:30pm) and restaurants had closed. But the hotel keeps the American Diner open and gives you a pass to get food and drink after closing time. After a feed and a few glasses of the local beer we were taken to our room by the friendly porter in a small electric buggy. sure beats walking. The Room We had a pool view room facing over the kids pool. on arrival at the room there was a swan made from towels on the bed, fresh fruit, a box of Cypriot delight, Roses and a bottle of Prosecco chilling in an ice bucket for us. As we were the wedding couple we also had better toiletries than the rest of our family who checked in other rooms. I found the room very spacious for me, my wife and son. It had a big comfy bed, a mini fridge, flat screen tv and some bedside tables with storage. The room was kept really tidy by the maids daily and couldn't really fault it. If i had to be really picky, then i thought it could have done with more coat hangers in the wardrobe. Food / Restaurants The hotel has a main buffet restaurant for breakfast / lunch / dinner. Every night has a different theme on a 2 week cycle. The staff were very helpful in leading you to your table and keeping you sorted for drinks. The were always smiling and very friendly. The food was always fresh and tasty, with plenty of selection. You also had the chance to sit inside / outside or adult only section. There was also a kids part with small tables and a large tv showing Disney movies. In the morning there was omelette's cooked for you after you chose your fillings. There was cooked breakfast items, various meats, veg and cheeses kids stuff and fruit and pastries. Lunch was a good selection of meat / fish / vegetarian / kids / pizza / pasta / salads and desserts Dinner was as above, but also had a chef at a carvery section each night with a selection of different joints of meat. The desserts at night also had a chocolate fountain every night with plenty of choices to dip in the chocolate. There was also the American Diner which was open from 10am till 11pm. It served Burgers / Hot Dogs / Sandwiches / Wraps etc. Their curly fries,Onion rings and milk shakes were perfect, There were two A la Carte restaurants that you could book. The captains deck and the Japanese restaurant. Both of these were great. and the service was second to none. The Captains deck was traditional Cypriot food. Both times we were here we had the Meze. Wow, it was spot on. But dont eat for a while before you go as you get a ton of food over lots of courses. If you have a weak stomach dont try the strong shot you get on arrival. The Japanese restaurant was awesome too. Never really tried Japanese food before, but loved it. The sushi is great. Take the Sushi platter for a starter as its a mix of most other starters. The Fillet of beef main course is spot on as is the Dark chocolate and wasabi pudding. There were also salads / sandwiches available from the pool bar and snack shack, but never tried these. Bars There was the cinnamon bar on the main terrace which was lovely. Their Cocktails were great ( went through the list one day ) especially pina colada, cuba libre and the white russian. Table service was great, you never sat long without a drink. There was also live music every night including Peter Andre's brother who played every tuesday. The pool bar was also great and a little less formal. No table service here, but the staff were amazing. Especially 'Wee' Stevie. Or Del boy as i called him, due to his thick cockney accent and the fact he looked a lot like Del boy from only fools and horses Entertainment Big shout out to the entertainment team for the day time activities. All were friendly, There was water aerobics, kids pool disco, water volleyball, water polo, archery, killer darts and a quiz on a daily basis. At night there was kids disco / entertainment, Bingo and then singing / dancing by the entertainment team. They all seemed friendly and put on a good show. A few nights there was outside acts came in. Creche The creche was great. We could put our son Mason in 3 times a day for 2 hours. its closed on a sunday. Most days we put our son in from 2-4pm and 9-11pm. This kept him out the strong sun in the afternoon and got him to sleep in a nice cool room at night. The girls were great with him. Abby was good at the main desk and Lilly and Daisy treated him so well. they were all really friendly and great with Mason. He loved the creche and daily activities and always looked forward to going. He made a few things, had photos taken to give to us and even made us a wedding card with the girls. The girls were some of the best staff the hotel had, if not the best. If you read this Mason misses you. Wedding Day Our wedding day was great. We got married at the Olympic gardens which was lovely. it was a bit shaded thankfully as it was 40 degrees that day. The hotel staff were great at decorating the place. We had our cocktail reception at the cinnamon bar where the service was great. And the waiter and waitress for our dinner were great. The only complaint on the wedding day was the Steak from our main course. a lot of the guests didnt eat there steak as it was quite tough and gristley. The food was all cooked well, but it seemed like a proper bad cut of meat. ( mines personally was ok cooked rare) The day after the wedding we got a huge breakfast in bed which was great, including champagne, strawberries, pastries, fruit and full fry up. We also got a candle lit mean in the Japanese restaurant and a love cake, shaped like a love heart with strawberries, meringue and cream. All great wee touches. We also got late check out for being the wedding couple. Location The hotel is a little bit out the road. Didnt bother us though, its a 5-10 minute walk to nissi beach ( which is amazing, with plenty of water sports and beach bars) and maybe 30mins to Ayia napa. worth it to try El Tequila Mexican restaurant If you dont like walking, then there are plenty of buses and taxi's. So dont let it put you off. Conclusion So all in all i thought this was a great hotel and couldnt really fault it much. Loved my stay here and will be back. Would recommend it hands down to anyone ( apart from people going on an Ayia Napa party holiday, as its a 30 min walk away) The Guest Relations manager Christos was a really nice woman, and always went out her way to speak to you, and always had a smile on her face.More
