Time after time
Myself my daughter 16 and her friend stayed here for 3weeks in August. The rooms are more than adequate when all you do is sleep in them. We never had noisy neighbours or people coming in late. The issue with the lifts is down to those lazy articles that get in lift to go to floor 1,2/3. Walk it will do you good. Food, I am the worlds fussiest eater and I always managed to eat and for all 3 weeks, we only ate out once and that was only because we chose not to stay in for entertainment. Why people whine about towels on chairs on an evening, just move them as many people did when we stayed, they will feel more embarrassed than you. The reason you need to be out is that the entertainment staff put on such amazing shows everyone wants to watch, well done just to name a few, Abel, Martha, robben, mario, Carlos, Alejandro, etc. The staff are not rude it's the English people who are rude to them, we have never had an issue with bar, reception, or dining room staff. Cleaners work really hard give them a break, and I am sure that all those complaining about sheets not changed after 3days certainly don't do this at home. Relax and stop whining you are giving us all who are happy a bad name. The hotel is 4 star, love the changes from previous years, and as with all the people we met again this year will all be back next year. Get over the sun bed issue if you don't like it go to the beach, I saw sunbeds still available at 9/10 o'clock some mornings. See you next year, well done to all the staffMore

Sol Tordos - We will not go back
Firstly this is not a 4* hotel as we were sold with Low Cost Holidays, the bands we received on check in clearly had 3* on. We were two adults and one child aged 7 upon arriving at the Sol Palmanova Mirlos Tordos did not even know which hotel we were staying in when the taxi driver asked. We were in fact in the Tordos but spent most of our time in the Mirlos as this is the better hotel out of the two, we asked to change but were unable to. We kept having issues with our room key card as it took on average ten attempts to open the door. We had the key card changed twice during our week stay. We paid for a safe and was given a code however this did not work and we had to have a member of staff to our room to help and reset the safe. This was however probably to our advantage as we got to choose our own code. As I have read on here the issues of staff knowing the codes and money going missing. Rooms were modern but far too small, with not even enough room for two people to pass each other (we are not large people) we even struggled for space for luggage. The shower was useless with all the power of a watering can! There was a flat screen tv on the wall however but had to be careful not to knock it off the wall due to cramped conditions. The rooms were cleaned everyday however the bed sheets are supposed to be changed every 3 days, we had them changed once. There are only two lifts in the hotel that have to accommodate a large number of guests, also the lifts can only hold six people. We were on the fifth floor and ended up using the stairs for the majority as this is hopelessly inadequate for the volume of people. Internet is not free it cost â¬6 per day. Drinks at the bar are okay, they are the local brands, for the named ones you have to pay â¬12 a day to upgrade and you have to upgrade the whole family. You also cant get water till 10 a.m and the bottles are tiny 330ml. Meaning you had to grab as many as you could handle just to make sure you had some water in your room. The food is a definite eye opener. It is very much the same every day, my advise to them would be to have more themed evenings. There was a terrible stench by the drinks area in the restaurant which was very off putting. If you wanted a sunbed you have to set your alarm clock to get up to reverse. Sunbeds were unlocked at 9am some guests were at the pool from 8am reserving their space with towels, this issues needs to be addressed, we spent ONE day at the pool. The pools are too small for the amount of people and in the afternoon most of the pool and poolside is in the shade, as well as covered in litter and rubbish with the tiny water bottles everywhere and even floating around in the pool. Evening entertainment we never watched as we could never get a seat. However the childrenâs entertainment was excellent our daughter attended the foam party and the pyjama party with water slides, this however did cost â¬10.50. Noise level, unfortunately you can hear everything from the evening entertainment to people coming back drunk at 3am, once we had to ring downstairs to complain about the noise level but to be fair to the staff they did come up and have a word with the noisy family Most of the staff were hard working and friendly (especially the children entertainers), however there are few of female staff at the front desk who were rude. The best part of the holiday was going to the beach and visiting the waterparks, basically getting out of the hotel which was really not to our standards.More

The location of this hotel is perfect as its only 5mins walk from where ever you would like to go . The rooms are very small we came with our 10year old and he literaly slept 5inches away from us , we had to fold his bed up to be able to walk on the balcony ,the bathroom is a very good size tho. My ratings based on size of room , not very friendly reception & bar staff . Other than that we did enjoy our stay very much ,yes the foods different but you've got to expect that when your in a different country . It was my husbands birthday while we were there and he received a bottle of chamaign of the manager which we were very suprised by and this was very kind so we would like to thank the hotel for this ð lovely touch. Just returned from the sol mirlos, I was very disappointed with this hotel it's definitely not a four star more like a 3 star. On arrival reception staff where very slow on checking us in and had 2 go back about four time for them to reprogram my door key. We stayed on the six floor which was not good as the lifts are very small and you can only get about four people in, we found this hard as we had my elderly mum and a baby with us. The food was very much the same every day and the meat was always under cooked, if u wanted eggs in the morning u had a long wait lol, this made us eat out quite a few times. The drinks where undrinkable unless u paid extra for branded beer or spirits. Room are very nice and modern but a bit small for a family, could do with the maid cleaning a bit better. Sunloungers are a joke and a health and safety issue, u had to get to the pool about 7.30 to clam your space and then wait till 8.30/9.00 to wait for the key man to unlock the sunbeds and then try and get one, not very happy when I hurt my toe doing this. Entertainment team and kids club staff are very good. We told the reception staff about our issues but had no resolve, very unhelpful. All off us went down with a sickness bug, so my flight home waa not good. Stayed In the sol guadalpue about four times which I would recommend anyone to stay in, excellent palace.More

Probably the best Family Hotel in Majorca
Having read all of the reviews which are mixed opinions really, I can honestly say that if you have a family with children aged 1 to late teens and you enjoy a typical British style holiday abroad with lots of fun and a guarantee that your kids will love it and meet friend etc then book this hotel. Lots of boxes are ticked at this hotel it caters for the masses and entertainment is high on the agenda, it's very busy which is actually testament to how good it is. If you like peace and quiet a bottle of wine with dinner and a more chilled scene then it's not for you. If your are prepared to kick the ball out accept the downsides and get on with enjoying yourself then book this hotel. You are guaranteed to enjoy. More
