Improved greatly

I gave this hotel a poor review two years ago. I was disappointed with the way it was going with the types of groups that were staying there. I went back for four nights and I'm pleased to say it's back to the type of family hotel we have enjoyed for the past ten years. Rooms have been done up. Food as always was nice with a choice to suit everyone. Hotel bar, cleaning and catering staff all work really hard to make this a place that is pleasant and friendly. Thanks all :) More

Good hotel but awful food!!

We stayed as a family of 4 from 30 June to 14 July. This was our 2nd visit to the hotel. The rooms are great we had a family room in the tordos which was a great size and had a 2 flat screen TVs, the bathroom was very big and had a fantastic shower. The hotel itself is great and the entertainment team are fantastic. You do need to be up early to get a space for your sun lounger but it is the same in most hotels we have been to. The food was a real let down it was awful! We ate out most nights as it was so bad, not really what we expected with the price we paid or based on our previous stay. Some people seem to think that this is a cheap place to stay we paid well over £4000 for our visit so wouldn't class it as cheap!! I would not return to the hotel based solely on the quality and choice of the food which really lets down an other wise good hotel! More

GOOD HOTEL BUT NEEDS ALOT OF IMPROVEMENTS IN AREAS.

Returned from the Mirlos/Tordos on 24/7/15. This hotel was booked for myself my wife and 7 year old child, First of all the hotel rooms are modern and cleaned every day (TORDOS). Although the rooms are very small we managed to cope, My main problem with the hotel was the food was absolutely disgusting and absolutely no choice for children apart from chicken nuggets. Various times we had to make the trip to mcdonalds for a happy meal for our child. If I compare it to other hotel food from previous vacations the food here is sub-standard. We were all inclusive but unfortunately we were forced to eat out 9 times in the evening at other restaurants which cost us a lot of money. I watched the chef remove a dish from the oven and place it down for guests to eat. I was first to sample the dish which was pork in a sauce, upon getting back to my table i cut one of the square shaped pork bits open to find it was actually COLD and pink i couldn't believe it and binned the whole meal. The food was repetitive and basically disgusting and more often than not you will hear people around the tables complain of the quality. The snacks on offer after lunch are reheated dishes from breakfast consisting of link sausage and watery scrambled egg.Towards the end of snack time burgers and hot dogs were on offer but they were that cold the heat from meat didn't even melt the butter on the bun i was extremely disappointed with the food quality and the hotel manager must address this to keep up with other hotels. If you want a sunbed you need to be down at the pool for 7am and lay out plastic chairs and towels to secure a space. People were actually putting down plastic chairs from 5am and also the sunbeds that weren't secured with a chain and not returning till late PM to sleep off their hangovers. Again the hotel manager must address this situation as people talk amongst themselves and find this absolutely ridiculous giving the hotel a bad reputation. My last complaint was with the outside bar staff as most of them were extremely rude and especially to the kids who were asking for ice lollies, the younger bar staff were pleasant enough to everyone. Again a lot of people were offended by older bar staff and their attitude and respect for the holiday guests who actually pay there wages as without them they would have no employment. This could be a better hotel if the problems i've mentioned were addressed. I would return to this hotel but not for the amount of money we paid for three people all inclusive. I would rate this 7/10 but if the food problem was rectified along with the sunbed situation and the older bar staff being a bit more respectful to guests it could be 9/10. Hopefully the gentleman who appeared to be the manager and often wore a pink shirt and sat down at lunchtime in the dining area with chilled champagne reads this report and addresses these highlighted issues if he want's to improve on quality.More

great place but improvement needed in areas

Overall we had an amazing holiday in Majorca, this hotel is very close to most things and only a few minutes walk to the beach. The entertainment team work tirelessly which i admired, the food was plentiful and always had lots of choice, the place was always kept clean and tidy. It really was a great hotel BUT, on our third day my wife, 16 month old and myself went to the dining hall for lunch, our baby was sleeping in her buggy so we thought it was a good chance to eat before she woke. we proceeded to a table and immediately a middle aged woman rudely pointed to our buggy and then to the front of the dining hall, i explained that the baby was sleeping and in no way would i leave her un attended, she just shrugged her shoulders. We left at that point furious and disgusted that we where singled out as we seen before that and every day after that parents had their buggies and children in them at their table while eating. I think they need better information or signs telling people if this is not aloud or that particular staff could be better trained, the bar staff could also do with cheering up. Its a real pity as we loved the hotel but definitely will not be back. More

great family hotel

Had a great holiday here with partner and 3 kids, food and drink was good we had considered upgrading but felt we didnt need to once we got there. Pool areas were busy and had to get up early to grab a sunbed as soon as they were unlocked. Just a short distance from the beach and palma nova shops.nice hotel would returnMore
