Brilliant location but pool too small for the amount of guests
We stayed here in August 2016 and therefore the hotel was very busy. We didn't have a problem checking in, it was all reasonably quick. We had a double room for us and our 15yr old son. The bed for our son was a chair\bed and was quite small for him. Also it left a very small amount of space to open the fridge and get out on to the balcony. The room was clean though. We had a pool view on the second floor which was nice. The food was nice with plenty to choose from. The restaurant did get busy at times but you got to know the times to avoid. Bar staff do appear miserable but were fine if you just asked for drinks politely and with a smile. The queues for drinks were sometimes a problem and this was due to lots of guests and not many staff. I will agree with comments about the sunbeds. We stayed for 2 weeks and could only be bothered to get beds twice. The location of the hotel is brilliant. We went to the beach quite often which is just through the gate at the back of the hotel. You will also find lots of shops, bars and restaurants. We did lots of walking. Magaluf is within walking distance and we also hired bikes on a couple of occasions. There is a dedicated traffic free path that takes you to Palma. It's lovely and highly recommended. The hotel has clubs for young children and teens. They seemed to be popular but my son didn't seem to agree with some of the events. I can't really comment on the evening entertainment as the seating area was absolutely packed hours before the shows started. Therefore, we didn't have chance to watch anything. There is usually a singer or instrument player inside in the bar area. I would go back to this hotel but at a quieter time.More
Having got married August Bank Holiday we decided on this hotel for our Honeymoon. It has to be the biggest mistake we have ever made. We should really have been wary from the start, when we tried to book via a well known website the price was £1,200 per room for AI, every time we selected 'book' it took us directly to the website of the company that own this hotel. We ended up having to join their reward scheme so as to book. Last room kept flashing on all sites we looked on including the hotels itself so we booked, paying a lot more than we wanted too, but, the pictures showed an amazing hotel so we thought we had a great deal. We paid for a sea view and with the pictures on the website we expected the hotel to be on the beach...it was not only not on the beach there was also no possible way the pictures on the website were taken from this hotel. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach through an avenue of several other hotels and shops...the only sea view we had was from the 9th floor hanging over the balcony!! This picture shown of the hotel is a great likeness for the one pool, alas the sun was gone from here by midday so everyone moved to the other pool. It was like being packed into a sardine can, you could not get a sheet of paper between the sunbeds, way too 'intimate' for our liking, a few inches apart would have been acceptable. The evening entertainment was not too bad but again inadequate seating so if you weren't in a seat by 7.pm then you were standing all night. Food, as with most AI, was repetitive but acceptable if you could stand the noise in the dining room. Rooms were very tiny, we had a chair in our room that turned into a single bed, this was placed right next to our 'small' double bed which left about 2 feet to get out onto the balcony. We wanted a nice peaceful honeymoon and this hotel promised just that, alas it delivered nothing and 3 days into our 10 night stay I was booking flights to go home, unfortunately none were available so we had no choice but to make the best of a bad situation. All in all we paid well over the odds for this and on top of that could not stand the noise/food in the hotel so spent a further £1,000 eating/drinking and just generally staying out of the hotel. Most annoying is mid September we didn't expect the hotel to be full of school age children, it was, don't get me wrong, I love children, have four of my own and four grandsons but to think we booked this thinking it would be more bearable to have a few little ones around than suffer adult only with 30 something 'children,' oh hindsight is a wonderful thing. All in all a bad experience never to be revisited. But a big thank you to the Paradise Beach Bar for saving our honeymoon!More
Short Break October 2016
We had a five day break at this Hotel in October. Overall we had a satisfactory holiday. If you ask for twin beds they split the double into two. Not really satisfactory as you end up with two child sized beds. Our room was noisy as their was a group of children using the corridors, stairs and lifts as a playground, ( Perhaps this is down to the parents and not the hotel staff. ) Must say we have stayed before and not had this problem. Dining room very good. Bar very good.More
Spent 10 nights here at the end of June, beginning of July. We arrived late in the evening and staff were still welcoming and prompt to check in. Through out the whole holiday staff were very pleasant and friendly. Especially the entertainment staff who managed to be enthusiastic every day. The room was lovely, newly decorated, clean bathroom, lots of storage, mini fridge and a flat screen tele with English channels. Cleaners were good, they were not too early to start cleaning and came every other day. The location was perfect! My partner and I are in our 20's and we wanted to experience a lively atmosphere as well as relaxed evenings. Therefore a 5/10 minute walk to our right lead us to the strip in magaluf, with cheap drink deals and a party atmosphere. However it was far enough away to not hear any noise when in the hotel room or see any of the party life. On the other hand a 5/10 minute walk to our left lead us to beautiful restaurants on the sea front (not too expensive), nice bars and a more chilled atmosphere. A good fantasy golf near by and the boat trips were great. Hotel was literally a couple of meters walk to beach front, there were always parasols and sun beds available up to midday. Pool was lovely and clean, with amazing entertainment such as in the water spin class and water Zumba. The only downside was that the all inclusive food was very repetitive so we did eat out most days. It was also sometimes a struggle to find a good spot by the pool. However I would return here any day!More
