A wee change

Stayed here based on my brother's last 2 holidays..... Previously stayed at the Hotel Hawaii. I have to say this is definitely on a par with HH, but manages to come out tops for it's relaxed, informal and friendly atmosphere, whilst at the same time maintaining high standards. My only issue was the air conditioning.... Not great, but that could be partner was okay with it, but I prefer a fridge-like room, especially at night! ;-) I'm sure if I'd said something, it would have been taken care of, but will do next May, when we go back for a second visit!More

Needs updating

Love this hotel been twice now. Excellent for families plenty for kids to do. I don't think I'd return as the hotel really needs a cosmetic overhaul reception area lovely but rooms and dining old fashioned. Food repetitive and lots of it. Struggled to put together a meal from the buffet though as everything seemed random. Food low quality and any meat was incredibly small portions or thin cuts. The hotel is spotlessly clean and staff attentive. It's cheap and cheerful. When I say I wouldn't return it's just personal preference that id rather pay that bit more and have a little luxury. Sol mirlos does what it says on the tin all inclusive holiday. More

Charlotte T,

Very child friendly hotel...but far too much going on in a too small a space!

There was a bug going around the hotel the week we went. Husband and baby very poorly. Everyone you spoke to in the hotel had a member of their family poorly. The staff knew but couldn't get on top of it. The rooms are ridiculously small if you are a family of 4. I was told a 'twin room' was ample for my family of 4. There were 2 twin beds, a child's bed wedged in, then a cot wedged in. One wall was full. We couldn't unpack properly as the cot was infront of the wardrobe and there wasn't anywhere to move the cot to, to get in the wardrobe. We had to store one suitcase on the balcony all week as there wasn't enough space in the room. It wasn't a massive deal...but the hotel only has 2 small lifts...for the size of the hotel, it's pretty silly. You can be waiting up to about 10/15 minutes to get in.More

Lovely Hotel

Girls holiday actually went down a treat at Sol Mirlos tordos, me and my friends stayed at this wonderful hotel from 28th June until 5th July. Staff are really helpful and polite, with clean rooms and clean towels daily we had no problem at all! The food was brilliant with plenty of choices and enough of everything. The walk to the beach was literally on the door step of the hotel a five minute walk away. The strip was close enough to with a nice walk too it. We had a beautiful room view of the pool which was always nice to wake up too!More

Loved Sol Mirlos

We stayed in Sol Mirlos in Palmanova from 23rd to 30th of September. My wife and I went with my parents and our 21 month old for her first holiday, and what a great choice it was. The kid’s area with the swimming pool and other facilities were all top notch and they impressed me greatly. The kid’s pools were well designed and had enough interactive bits and bobs that the kids there were all kept busy. The main pools were also very well kept and due to the time of year very easy to access. A word of caution may be that due to the design and layout of the main building and some surrounding ones, the pool areas have a number of areas in shadow for some of the day. This means that competition for the sunny spots is high. At the time we were there it was not so much an issue, but I imagine it could be at the height of the season. It was our first time all inclusive and I would definitely do it again. The food was of a far higher quality than I would have expected from a kitchen having to turn out the volumes that they have to here and I would consider the food very good by any standard. The beer and other drinks were also very good, I certainly enjoyed the challenge of getting the best possible value for money from the deal! The beer on tap for all inclusive guests was Amstel and not some unbranded watered down variety. The wine although limited to red, white or rose was also very nice and readily available in the restaurant and bar. The staff really made the stay shine. They were friendly, informative, attentive and approachable at all times and many really made an effort to speak to and play with our little girl which she loved and we really appreciated as it made her feel right at home from the start in a new environment. The evening entertainment was very good as well. (To be fair 1 evening had a singer that didn’t exactly raise the roof). The various acts and performances (esp the lion king) were great and I was very pleasantly surprised. I was expecting something like a scene from ‘Phoenix Nights’ with Peter Kay but no, it was all very professional and well polished in style and execution. All in all a great hotel and we had a great stay, we will definitely go back in the future if we can.More
