Great hotel very family friendly

This hotel is brilliant the bar staff are efficient we were always served within a few minutes if not instantly. The restaurant food has a good variety and the desserts are incredible. The hotel is very clean and the cleaning staff are very nice. The entertainment staff are amazing the children were entertained the whole time they were always doing something. The pools were good the beach is just around the corner and stunning. we will be returning 100% More

10th - 17th June 2016

This is the 4th year we have stayed at this hotel and although they have refurbished the rooms I would not say this hotel is 4* - more like a 3* Most of the staff are really helpful and friendly, but there are two or three staff (behind the bar) who are very ignorant and miserable - they have been there every year we have and still do not change! They are very rude and alot of guests were complaining again. The holet is clean, but I have noticed a decline this year than the past years. Food is still excellent, but the salad choice has been cut down drastically. This hotel now has free wi-fi which is a bonus. It used to be 35 Euro for the week!More

Third visit to this hotel

This is our third trip to the Sol Palmanova. Since our last visit the rooms have been refurbished to a high standard. We stayed in Palmanova 1 (formerly Mirlos) and had a standard room with two twin beds, a sofa bed and a cot. There wasn't much space but adequate for washing and sleeping! The main reason we returned to the hotel was the kids pool - slides to keep my 4 year old entertained. Location brilliant, 2 minute walk to beach and shops right outside. Food - can't go wrong with breakfast, everything you could ask for from continental to cooked breakfast. Lunch and dinner - not a great selection for kids so we did struggle on variety. There were nights that we struggled as adults to find something to eat, but we are fussy and as we got the hotel cheaper than self catering properties nearby, we had budgeted to eat out some nights. If you fancy eating out the Chinese out the back gate of hotel (overlooks beach), Tandoori Nights Indian and Diana Beach Restaurant were all lovely.More

Food lets it down

Location, facilities, staff, cleanliness all excellent. Food lets the whole hotel down. Repetative, cold and poor quality meat in dishes. We met several guests who had stayed five or six years in a row but told us they would not be returning as the food had gone downhill so badly. There is also a serious issue with noise from the corridors at night. If you are unlucky enough to get a room beside the lifts forget about sleep. There should be a security guard to patrol at night to deter people from running and shouting in the hallways. Really cannot fault any of the staff they are so hard working and pleasant. The team that entertain the kids have endless energy and patience. The pool areas are fabulous but the scramble and battle for the sunbeds(a lot of which are broken and quite scruffy) tends to get you down after a few days. Thankfully the hotel is only minutes away from the beautiful peaceful white soft sand beach and the heart of the resort. All in all this has the potential to be a great hotel but we won't be returning unless the food improves or you can stay room only.More
