Pools are where this hotel triumphs – it’s even got its own waterpark.
It’s all about the pools at this place. On top of a huge, H-shaped one, there’s a new pool with 6 slides, added during a refurb in 2012. Rooms had a makeover at the same time and have a fresh feel. And there's modern dining, too.
When it comes to eating and drinking, highlights include an al fresco Chinese and a Viennese café. As for location, the hotel is in a quiet spot by a small beach. Paphos harbour is less than 10 minutes by bus.

Love this hotel!
We came here in June for a week to attend a friends wedding, about 30 traveled to the paphos area and we won the hotel lottery, compared to some of our friends hotels and prices they paid we definitely got a bargain!! Staff were excellent and the food and drinks were excellent! Especially loved the cocktails for the ladies at night time and the table service. I can't remember his name but a young barstaff in his 20's from Bulgaria was an absolute banter! Pool entertainment was excellent, got involved a few times even tho i'm usually the type to just watch! Treated ourselves to a couples massage whilst we were here and it was very relaxing definitely worth the pampering. I've got so many things i could add about this hotel but i think i'll just leave it at that but you can be assured that when my travels take me back to Paphos the Louis Phaethon will be my place of choice, thumbs up!More

Fab n fun holiday!
We arrived at the hotel about midnight & was welcomed with drinks & guided into the restaurant for some food along with our check in forms. ...check in was really good n quick which was really appreciated that time of night... When we got to the room it was nice and clean with a massive balcony, good fridge n air con however id paid for a sea view room and didnt get that so following morning went to reception to explain and they took us to some rooms to see if we wanted to move to them as the hotel was full they gave us option of waiting till the wed for a good room so we lived outta cases for 2 days (not ideal)as the ones they showed us wernt that great but ok...but i wanted what id paid for...n I have to say they were very good at putting it right. ....the food was really good especially the chinese at lunch time and no complaints about drinks either....very efficient around pool with collecting cups n plates. .in fact best iv seen! & lots of sunbeds (never had trouble getting some).... Spent most of our days by pool n did take part in lots of the games run by animation team who were excellent by the way....but didnt pressure u into anything which is good..my 6yr old also used the kids clubs...did prefer the animation kids club n the girls there emma..rachel..amy..Alice. .chloe..cath who are also part of the entertainment team along with kelly who got me into zumba then her step zumba was fab...not forgetting the boys either Cordos. .emil..joe..billy manny n dido....they are all fab n work really hard to please everyone....the shows in the evening are good...lion king was my fav tho!..the staff at the phaethon are really good n friendly too n thats inc all of them from bar..reception restaurant even cleaners .....there was only 1 thing that I didnt like about this hotel n that was the lifeguards ...they are far to strict..they are like the fun police ....I had a strong discussion with 1 of them as he tried to tell me my daughter needs armbands even though she can swim 25 meteres wirhout them???...n then wudnt let her on the slides unless she wore them...even though she'd been on them before without...so we ad to buy some! We didnt go in sea as it was really hard on the feet...we did go to the zoo which my daughter enjoyed..lots of birds there n wud class it as a bird park with few animals thrown in.... u can get the bus outside hotel straight down to harbour it cost us 3euro for us all or u can buy day tickets.......all in all it we really enjoyed our holiday and we would definitely go back there!More

First stay at this hotel
We were greeted with champagne and nibbles by very welcoming staff including the manager. Our room had a side sea view and a view of the mountains, one downside it was over the main entrance so was quite noisy at times especialy when wedding parties arrived back from their celebrations at 1.30 a m. Pool area and garden areas were first class . Food was very good for a hotel of this size. The only negative was the terrible music played by the resident D J at the pool bar , in the end we used the adjacent municipal beach to get away from it. All in all a very good stay.More

A holiday to remember
We had the most amazing holiday and a lot of this was due to the hotel and the location it was in. The staff far and formost were brilliant...i have thank them for being so welcoming, attentive and happy to help. A very good team. The animation team are very talented and friendly...i have never had this standard of entertainiment in any resort i have stayed so hats of to you. They really do bring a great atmosphere and buzz to Phaethon. I dont havce much to say about the shop..other than overly priced..then again i didnt need much anyway. The food was also very very good, a varied menu and also freshly cooked. nothing to fault. There was always something available to drink, eat throughout the day which was a delight. The hotel itself was well looked after, rooms were clean and tidy, the only creature i ever saw was on the beach front but that was a cute little lizard. Overall best holiday ever and will certainly be returning. Thank you all, NatalieMore
