Louis Phaethon Beach Club

Pools are where this hotel triumphs – it’s even got its own waterpark.

It’s all about the pools at this place. On top of a huge, H-shaped one, there’s a new pool with 6 slides, added during a refurb in 2012. Rooms had a makeover at the same time and have a fresh feel. And there's modern dining, too.

When it comes to eating and drinking, highlights include an al fresco Chinese and a Viennese café. As for location, the hotel is in a quiet spot by a small beach. Paphos harbour is less than 10 minutes by bus.

My wife and i have being going to the louis phaethon beach at least once a year since 1997 usually in september. and it remains our favourite. we meet up with friends who we met at this hotel in 1997 and have also being to the phaethon.the reason being all the management and staff make your holiday very special from being greeted coming thro the hotel doors to going home.the animation team are excellent, the pool area is clean and tidy and you can always get a sunbed any time of the day.the dining room is excellent with a very good and varied choice of food, and everywhere is clean and tidy throughout the hotel including the bedrooms it also as a good indoor gym and pool area.over the past 17 years we have seen a lot of changes some very good but others in our opinion not so good these being. too many large weddings with british parents who do not no how to keep young children under control, with it being all inclusive in the hotel some guests of all nationalities seem to think food and drink is going out of fashion, finally the dress code at evening meal does not seem to mean anything to some guests looking as if they have just come from the pool area please phaethon be more astute at meal times. never the less we shall still be coming to the phaethon in september. overall still an excellent hotel 10 out of 10More

Great family holiday

Had a great week away, staff were great and friendly and helpful... Kids were entertained, and loved the slides.food was constant and always something for everyone, rooms were a little small and full of Mosquitos, but if you let reception know they would spray your room nightly, unfortunately the great experience was tainted as my husbands wedding ring went missing from our room, with only two explanations , housekeeping or an opportunist while house keeping had the door open, either way a huge let down to great holiday!More

Kickingkate79,

Fantastic hotel

Just returned from a fabulous week at the Louis Phaethon. Everything about this hotel is fantastic. On arrival we were greeted by Kim Bowden, the Guest Service Manager, who was extremely warm and welcoming. Through the week we found Kim to be very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food is brilliant, excellent choice every day and the Asian food was delicious. Dido and the Animation Team are amazing. Their productions of Chicago, Mamma Mia and Hairspray were very professional, entertaining and not to be missed, the team are very talented. The staff all work very hard and the hotel is kept immaculate, inside and out. I have never written a review before, but really wanted to for this lovely hotel. I hope to return. Highly recommended!More

Could not be beaten

We got married in Yeroskipou 12/9/2014, but stayed here before and after our wedding. From the minute we arrived we were treated like royalty. We had a seat and a drink for registration before we could take in the lovely lobby. We went to our room to find we had been given fruit, water and sparkling wine as we were there for a special occasion. The views were absolutely fantastic of the beach, sea and grassy sunbathing area. We had fresh linen every day and the room was spotless. The restaurant was lovely and spacious and the food was very varied and beautifully prepared and displayed. The soup and fresh bread are not to be missed both lunchtime and dinner. The chef carved a different meat every night and the choice was phenomenal. They did an hot pudding each evening and my husband could not resist what he called his favourite school puddings. We were all inclusive and almost as soon as you had finished your drink the waiter came to take your order for another. No expense was spared where the number of staff are concerned and nothing is too much trouble. The pool area is brilliant with a water park as an added bonus. Plenty of sunbeds around and the area was thoroughly cleaned every day, we even saw the grass around the wedding gazebo being vacuumed one day!! There were several weddings held at the hotel each day but the wedding advisor from the hotel found time to speak to us and arranged a cake and champagne for our wedding day. As an additional touch they provided a romantic meal for the evening after the wedding (we could also have had breakfast in bed but we declined this lovely offer). The fixtures and fittings are well used but the staff and customer service more than make up for this. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing break in beautiful surroundings with fantastic customer service. We are currently planning our next trip here!!More

Wonderful Family Holiday

We traveled to Paphos for a family wedding (17 in total) with our 2 children, 3yr old twin boys. We arrived around 10pm and were immediately shown to the restaurant and had our cases stored away and then delivered to our rooms, a lovely welcome indeed. From the start of the holiday the service was second to none and this continued throughout. Wonderful food and drink with waiter/waitress table service who were very friendly and polite. They staff really couldn't do enough for you. During the day we took advantage of the Thomson Kids club and by the end of the holiday the boys were running down they loved it that much. The brilliant kids club staff gave us the chance to relax and I didn't expect to be able to as much as we did. This is why we holiday with Thomson :-). The hotel entertainment team had many activities during the day for old and young and we played some in between cocktails and sun bathing (30 degrees every day with a nice breeze). The hotel has 3 pools and the dedicated toddler pool is brilliant and has a full time life guard for added safety. Although my sister didn't marry at the hotel all of the weddings we saw during the day looked great as did their evening meals. All in all a fantastic holiday and I'd highly recommend this hotel. We shall be returning :-)More
