The Laura Beach & Splash Resort has a top-notch waterpark, plus it's had a recent refurb – think revamped rooms and a spruced up pool area.
This hotel has cherry-picked some awesome slides for its waterpark, like the white-knuckle Boomerango and a whopping great Super Bowl.
Inside, the décor’s fresh and modern, thanks to a recent refurb. And you’re right by the sea, with a small, sand-and-shingle beach a couple of minutes’ walk away.

You're in for a treat at the onsite waterpark here. There are some big-name slides to get excited about like the Tornado Bowl and the Crusador. And don't forget the high-speed Kamikaze Free Fall. You've also got the Multilane Mat Racer and the Float Side where you can whizz your way round on inflatables. There's an activity pool for under 12s, and little ones from 2 years can make a splash in the Toddlers' Pool.
Just so you know, the slides here may be too big for little swimmers.

Had an amazing holiday at this hotel! Hotel - 2 huge pools, with plenty of sunbeds, own water park with a variety of slides and a wave pool which is great for families and adults, small 'beach' on the hotel grounds with a mini beach bar (included in all inclusive), very modern and luxury hotel Rooms - lovely rooms, huge bed, nice bathroom, only thing we were a bit disappointed with was the fact we didn't have a balcony Dining - we went all inclusive (definitely advised), we would have liked bigger cups for our drinks and maybe bottled water, but overall the drink selection was really good and you could get as many as you wanted in one go. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were buffets, good choice of food, however being a vegetarian I would have liked a little bit more of a variety. Also items NEED to be labelled correctly, as there were times I was unsure if it was vegetarian or not. There was a theme for dinner every night which was good! On our last night we ate at a little Indian restaurant up the road (which was nice)! Area - good location, short bus ride from a supermarket and tomb of the kings, also a 15min (ish) bus ride away from the nearest beach (Coral Bay) and in the other direction the harbour. We did a boat trip excursion which was all organised by our helpful reps from the hotel. Weather - we went in mid September, and the temperature was late 20's. Our last couple of days were slightly cloudy but other than that, it was beautiful sunshine! We will definitely be looking to return here as we feel this hotel is a great value for money! More
Visited for a week all inclusive. Had a great time. The food (on tap) was really nice and was only repetitive for one night. The staff were amazingly helpful and welcoming. The room and grounds were all clean and tidy. Definitely going back. Highly recommended. More
I visited Laura Beach Hotel in September 2016 with a friend. It was a bit of a disaster as our rooms were messed up but this was entirely Thomsons fault. The hotel and Tui reps (Kyle & Victoria) were fantastic in trying to resolve the issue. I won't go into it as when Tui spoke to the Thomsons shop at home they admitted the error so this will not impact my rating as it's was not the hotels error. The hotel itself is massive so if you want something small then this is not the hotel for you. We had quite a walk just getting back to our room but this didn't bother me as it was a bit more exercise to limit the damage of the meals we were having! My only criticism of the size was the lack of lifts they had and how small they were. The staff were really friendly and looked happy which is always a good sign. It was very clean and our rooms were cleaned thoroughly. We were lucky to have a balcony but I know not all the rooms have this so unless you pay the extra to have one you may not get one. The main attraction of this hotel is the swimming pools and water park they have. If you like the beach then do NOT come here. There is a beach but it's rocky and the sea is rough. I love the sea and never researched before we booked and I was disappointed by this. The pools are clean and there was a lifeguard most the time. He was friendly and interacting with the children which was nice. This is most definitely a family resort so if you're going adults only and don't like lots of children then avoid here. We knew this when we booked and didn't mind the children. Another thing they could improve is the size of the cups. We ended up buying our own plastic cups as we were fed up of trying to carry so many cups. So if you have anything like that and you're going, do take it. There are self serving drink stations and also the staff at the bar are happy to fill your own cups up. The food wasn't too bad. They had a lot of pork on offer and hey did repeat some things so towards the end of the holiday it got a bit boring. I was also disappointed in the lack of Cypriot and Greek food. In fact, when I got home I went to a local Greek restaurant to have a mousakka as they didn't have this at all during our 10 day stay. One thing I loved was the cats they had. They were friendly and not overly a nuisance if cats aren't your thing. My friend is a dog person and he even found himself calling them over. There was one white and ginger cat who was particularly friendly, who we named Bob! All in all not a bad hotel but there are areas where they could improve. It wasn't really worth what we paid but if you can get a late deal then it would be worth it. More
