The Laura Beach & Splash Resort has a top-notch waterpark, plus it's had a recent refurb – think revamped rooms and a spruced up pool area.
This hotel has cherry-picked some awesome slides for its waterpark, like the white-knuckle Boomerango and a whopping great Super Bowl.
Inside, the décor’s fresh and modern, thanks to a recent refurb. And you’re right by the sea, with a small, sand-and-shingle beach a couple of minutes’ walk away.

Brilliant family holiday
We came for a family holiday in May and had the best time. The hotel was really love and kept exceptionally clean and all of the staff were super friendly and great with the kids. We were in a family suite (so our kids had their own bedroom - brilliant) and it was great. The only negative I have on the room is that it was right by the lift so you had lots of selfish guests being VERY loud at times whilst coming in at night (obviously nothing the hotel can do about this) and the window insulation wasn't that great so the road noise was quite bad at times, however - you did get used to all of this as the days went on and it never kept the kids awake or woke them up. I did mention it to reception and they did kindly offer to change our room but didn't have any other family suites left so we stayed put. The room was fab and nice and spacious. The hotel has LOTS of space, including pool and grass and we never had to fight (or get up early) to secure a sun lounger, which was excellent. There were even loungers still stacked up daily - but may have just been a great time of year to come. The waterpark was equally as fab and the kids spent most of their time in here. The lifeguards were again very friendly and exceptional at their jobs. We felt very safe letting our children just go off and play (although they are older). The food at the hotel was amazing and the kids (one of which is fussy) always found plenty to eat. Both the main meals and desserts were really lovely and you had so much choice. The only suggestion I could make to improve this area is to install another ice cream freezer as the queue for the ice cream was very long every day. In our package we were allowed to eat in the American Grill for one night and this really let the hotel down on both service, friendliness and food, which was a shame. The restaurant was FREEZING cold (uncomfortably so) and everyone was complaining about it and the waitress was very "off" with her attitude. We all had to go up to our room and pick up jumpers/cardis just to survive the meal. The meal itself took well over an hour to come out and because we were freezing we had to take stints of going outside to warm up. We decided to leave after our main meal (and before ordering the dessert) and go into the main restaurant to get this, and most of the other people had had the same idea. If you are thinking of going in here, I would suggest checking the temperature before you go in to see if you can cope (and expect a long wait). The hotel activities were great and we took part in the Archery (very popular), Volleyball and my son did the football. The evening entertainment was how you would expect and had lots of variety although we preferred to just chill in the reception area at nights whilst our kids played in the games room/cinema area. The drinks were all good and not watered down like some All Inclusive hotels. We walked to the beach across from the hotel a few times and the kids had a great time playing in the Ocean Pool and looking around the rocks etc. We also went out on the ring (like a banana boat but round) one day and the kids LOVED it. The men running this were brilliant and didn't try and flip us off but made it a thrill ride for the kids - totally recommend (although wasn't cheap but you could knock them down on price a little). All in all this was a fantastic family hotel that I would recommend to anyone. We had a great time and May was a brilliant time to come. We will defo come back at some point - thank youMore
We went from the 7th June to 18th June. The food was awful not much variety, catered more for the Russians. Snacks well I have never been to a hotel that you had to make your own snacks in fact the only thing that was there for snacks was cheese and ham toasties and salad unless you went after dinner and there was left over chicken nuggets and chips. The alcohol was vile. Our room was filthy the maids would come in everyday but only seem to do the beds. Tea time we ask for a high chair but they had none spare so couldn't eat as my one year old needs to be in a high chair otherwise she runs everywhere. We spent €1000 in 10 nights as we didn't eat or drink there! Pools were nice, it was a good job we met the people we did otherwise it would of been the worst holiday! The staff were miserable apart from George and author. We got told McDonald's and KFC didn't deliver to the hotel but in fact it's the hotel that don't allow them to deliver as I asked them and the seen a member of staff ordering KFC! Thank god for pepperoni pizza over the road!! More
Just got back from a weeks holiday at Laura Beach which was really lovely. From arrival to leaving the Staff work so hard keeping everywhere clean. All staff polite. Lovely pools and water park. Excellent for children. Room was big, clean and airy. Food was good, plenty of choice. Staff worked hard at the Entertainment and keeping everyone happy. Bars were good, drinks plentiful. Taxi to Harbour 12 euros, plenty of shops and restaurants. Zoo, boat trips. Excellent Holiday, Thankyou Laura Beach. People that moan about this resort, I give up. It's lovely.More
