Louis Phaethon Beach Club

Pools are where this hotel triumphs – it’s even got its own waterpark.

It’s all about the pools at this place. On top of a huge, H-shaped one, there’s a new pool with 6 slides, added during a refurb in 2012. Rooms had a makeover at the same time and have a fresh feel. And there's modern dining, too.

When it comes to eating and drinking, highlights include an al fresco Chinese and a Viennese café. As for location, the hotel is in a quiet spot by a small beach. Paphos harbour is less than 10 minutes by bus.

Great for the kids with a climbing frame, waterfalls and slides.

Great weeks holiday

FABULOUS HOTEL. The hotel is situated about 10 minute drive or 30 minute walk from Paphos harbour and is the best 4T hotel we have stayed in and we do travel quite often. The staff welcomed us with drinks on arrival and were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Always with a smile Mr Thanasis and the reception staff worked very hard to ensure that guests were happy with everything. Dido and the entertainment team provided great shows in the evening and there were many different activities throughout the day if you wanted to join in. The staff greet and seat you on entering the restaurant and there is a wide variety of quality food at lunch and dinner and snacks and drinks are available until 12 midnight. There are plenty of sun loungers and parasols available so that only a few were being saved. We had booked a lovely sea view room which was cleaned daily and towels changed daily. We really loved everything about this hotel, all the staff from the cleaning team to the managers always checked that everything was done right for you. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough and hope to return soon.More

Apart from the great food, location and facilities the one think that stood out for my wife and I was the entertainment. The team entertained children and adults throughout the day and into the night. Their enthusiasm, energy and commitment was tireless. Great team made our stay even more enjoyableMore

A great hotel with character

On arrival we were greeted by management and staff with a very warm welcome.we had previously visited the Phaethon twelve years ago.The porter remembered us and was friendly and helpful. All the staff were great our room kept very well cleaned. The choice of food was excellent at all meals there was late supper every evening . Recommend the Chinese at lunch cooked fresh and plenty of choices. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was excellent.Last but definitely not least was the entertainment run by Dido his team worked so hard during the daytime round the pool and organising games ect.At night they put on a mini show followed by bingo then at ten there main show always delighted us .We loved our stay and if you decide to go I am sure you willMore

Astonishing value

This is a good hotel, a mile or two east of Paphos town and approx 15 minutes from Paphos airport. There are over 400 rooms and most of the guests are British. There is a wide variety of people - 20-somethings, families and retired couples. The rooms were well-designed and well-equipped, and kept very clean. All of the food is buffet-style and there was a huge range of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was uniformly of a high standard. The drinks were not as good, but this is fairly normal for an all-inclusive hotel. The two pools are huge but are unheated and so it was a bit of a struggle to get in. We ended up using them a lot less than we anticipated. The activities were a bit mixed and to some extent are designed for socialising and having a bit of fun rather than to do anything properly. The evening entertainment was surprisingly good. Sometimes we got a bit tired of the continuous loud music around the pools and the cafe/bar. Our main conclusion was that the hotel was astonishingly good value for money.More

Wonderful relaxing hotel

Arrived on the 20th April with my husband for a relaxing holiday, having stayed at this hotel before we knew this hotel was a good choice, it caters for all. Check in was quick and easy with refreshing drinks waiting for your arrival. Our room was on the third floor with a sea view, the room was clean and bright with plenty storage space, the bathroom was clean with a good shower. The food in the main restaurant was excellent with a different kind of roast being carved each evening and delicious desserts. I had my birthday whilst on holiday and on that day we were given a special decorated table with a bottle of sparkling wine and a birthday cake. Thank you to the restaurant staff for being so lovely! We ate at the Chinese each lunchtime which was lovely. The drinks at this hotel were good, Keo beer, nice wine and plenty of cocktails, I recommend the Strawberry Daiquiri! The staff at the hotel:- reception, bars, restaurant, housekeeping, pool attendants etc. were all very friendly and hard working. Thank You to everyone at the Louis Phaethon.More
