Louis Phaethon Beach Club

Loading

It’s all about the pools at the Louis Phaethon. On top of a huge H-shaped number, there’s a new pool that’s open during summer and notches up six waterslides, plus an indoor pool that’s open year-round. Elsewhere, the food gets a thumbs-up thanks to a popular Chinese buffet and Viennese café. As for location, the hotel is right on the beach and Paphos is only a short bus-ride away.

Great place to stay

We stayed here for a family wedding and were not disappointed one bit it really was fantastic. Firstly I will say that the rooms are very small. I stayed with my husband and we have a two and half year old. Yes i know you dont use your rooms that much but it is nice to have a bit of space so this is the only bit that i am going to mention and probably the only reason i have not give this hotel 5 out of 5 as the rest of the place is fantastic. the pools are amazing and with 3 to choose from as well as water slides you are really spoil t for choice. The food in this hotel is one of the best food choices i have ever seen abroad. I literally could not stop eating !!!! the staff are extremely helpful and always willing to accomadate you should you need anything. Although i am not really into the animation side of things having a 2 year old she loved going to mini disco in the evening and i must say i have never seen an animation team work so hard they were working from morning noon until night they really dont stop and the shows they do are really good. The All inclusive drinks were again one of the best i have seen all cocktails etc included which is not always the case with All inclusive. The wedding that we went to was beautiful and everything was lovely. I would deff recommend this hotel as a great place to stay. As i said the only downfall was the size of the room but other than that everything was great. I would love to return in the future and would even consider visiting one of the other louis hotels as they all look lovely.More

Third visit

We have stayed at the hotel three times over the last few years and have found the staff to be very good. The food is very good and everything is kept very clean. This last visit we found there to be a lot of groups attending weddings allthough you would not have thought it by how they were dressed. This is my only fault with the hotel it now seems anything goes in the restuarant shorts, vests, hats.and even one clown thought it was ok to sit without a shirt on nice just what you want to see when you are having your evening meal. The main highlight one night in the restuarant was a drunken russian walking round eating a whole french stick after upsetting guests so they had to move table half way through dinner. when i left the dinner hall he was still dancing round the outside tables.Come on Louis lets get this sorted or im afraid you are going to attract the wrong type of people.More

Amazing!

I went on this holiday with my husband. We are a young couple who wanted a hot, relaxing holiday. We were not disappointed. The hotel was perfect- despite catering very much for families, we were able to enjoy the entertaiment from the very talented entertainment team, whilst also having plenty of time to just relax by the pools in the sunshine. The food was brilliant and varied- the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The Thomsons reps were very helpful. Easily the most relaxed holiday we've ever had! I would very much recommend.More

Great Hotel, but bit too noisy for us

This is a great hotel, although not the 4* we have experienced in other Paphos hotels. The food is excellent though, cant fault it. Animation team a bit too much for us, but this is a family hotel, which we obviously booked without realising (our fault). This is a great hotel for families as plenty to do, but we prefer something a bit quieter, so should have booked a "no children" hotel. The rooms are comfortable and kept very clean. The pool area is also very good and plenty of sun beds for all (although people still save them for a whole day before returning to them). No pool towels either, but you can purchase them from the hotel shop at a cost of around 8 euros, but like other 4* hotels I have stayed in they are usually provided. Aircon not brilliant in the rooms, so glad we didnt stay in the middle of July/August as would have been unbearable. Also we booked a seaview room and only got a side view. Overall though, a great hotel with everything it says in the brochure.More

Fantastic!!!

Brought 32 of our family and friends for my wedding and not 1 person had a negative thing to say about the hotel! On arrival we were all greeted with drinks and snacks, told to take a seat and fill in paperwork rather then standing at a check in desk. As it was our wedding we had fruit and champagne in our room with towels made into swans and dressing gowns. The pools and slides are fantastic, kids play areas are brill i never heard the kids say im bored once! The food was constant throughout the day, very varied and a high standard. The only repetetive bit was kids corner and snacks which was perfect for fussy eaters! I loved the daily dinnertime chinese option at the pool bar. Our wedding was beyond perfect, nothing was too much trouble and the entertainment team even surprised us with champagne, spa treatment and a beautiful first dance including them surrounding us with giant fire torches! Dido also pulled us up to be bingo callers!! The staff are fantastic, my son fell down the stairs and a lovely staff member ran to get ice for his bruised lip and constantly asked after him for the rest of our stay! The only gripe i have is the fact my sons new trainers were stolen from a room, seen in house keeping by a receptionist and then disapeared again. Also my earrings were taken off the dressing table too as i changed them for wedding earrings. Such a shame it happened as i loved the hotel and all its lovely helpful staff. Very impressed with waiter service, never had this at a hotel before. Would definitely stay with louis company again but be more vigilant with my belongings.More
