Pools are where this hotel triumphs – it’s even got its own waterpark.
It’s all about the pools at this place. On top of a huge, H-shaped one, there’s a new pool with 6 slides, added during a refurb in 2012. Rooms had a makeover at the same time and have a fresh feel. And there's modern dining, too.
When it comes to eating and drinking, highlights include an al fresco Chinese and a Viennese café. As for location, the hotel is in a quiet spot by a small beach. Paphos harbour is less than 10 minutes by bus.

There's a trio of slides to try out, and the multi-lane one is great for a race. The waterpark is only open in the summer, from 1st May to 31st October. Just so you know, you will need to be aged 8 and 1.2m tall to ride the slides.
Thomson Kids' Club April to October
Designed for 3 to 11 year olds, Thomson Kids’ Club offers 2 hours of activities, 5 or 6 days a week. And that includes at least 3 evenings. It’s split into sections, with Tots for 3 to 5 year olds, Team for 6 to 8s, and Tribe for 9 to 11s. Best of all, most kids’ clubs activities are completely free. And outside of peak season, there are parent and toddler sessions three days a week, too. For your peace of mind, all Thomson Kids’ Club staff have advance DBS checks and hold NVQ Level 2 childcare qualifications. They’re First Aid trained, and there’ll be at least two of them on duty at all times.

I stayed here for my mums 50th with my parents and younger sister. The hotel is perfect for all ages, there is something for everyone to do and there is never a dull moment. As a close to 20 year old female I would have liked the all inclusive drinks to continue after 12 and for there to be a later disco. But considering the fact this is mainly a family hotel, this would probably be too loud for younger families. The hotel is a considerable distance from the harbour but taxis don't cost a lot and it's also possible to hire a car for 80-100⬠for 2-3 days. There is a complex with a few cocktail bars and an ice cream parlour 10 minutes down the main road. If you like clubbing, bar street is 5 minutes in a taxi, and costs between 10-12â¬. There are plenty of good clubs, my favourite being boogies, the karaoke bar. Staff in the hotel are amazing. They will speak to you and listen to anything you have to say. The entertainment is great. For younger children there is a disco from 8-9pm every night, then this follows on to bingo and evening entertainment. There is plenty of food to choose from, oriental every day for lunch, if you're fussy like me there is always chips on and a salad bar, pizza and either burgers, sausage rolls, cheese rolls, chicken nuggets. There is always ice cream available. At tea there is plenty, salad bar, vegetarian options, soup, kids bar. There is always a type of meat, pork, Turkey, beef etc and gravy to go with it. Nothing to complain about really other than the keys, they aren't key cards so there is only one key per room. Which would be fine in most cases but I was staying with my sister and we weren't always together. Overall, great experience! Great staff! And I hope to visit there again soon!More
Not overly impressed.
We recently reminded from our stay at Louis Phaethon and we are a bit disappointed. On the night we arrived we had to kill at least 30 Mosquitos in the room. It looks like the previous guests had an issue with the Mosquitos also - they were all splattered over the walls!! The bed sheets needed updating, we often had sheets with holes in them! The bathroom was very small and had poor ventilation - the bathroom constantly smelt of sewage. The food was okay...found the Chinese buffet was the best out of the lunchtime selection! However, we were extremely disappointed when we went to order out packed lunch on the day of our departure and they didn't all is to have one. It seemed silly that those that stayed in the hotel still got their meals provided..why not provide one for the people who went out for the day - especially when the flight wasn't until 23:25! The staff seemed very friendly and polite. The hotel is situated in a good location. All in all ,I don't think we will be retuning to the hotel.More

We spend 2 weeks here for my daughters wedding 5 weeks ago can't fault the hotel enough for everything they done to make her day so special the staff work so hard all day and then the evenings to x the hotel is spotlessly clean and tidy inside and out the only fault I could say is that the rooms need a bit of tlc in being more modern with a kettle in there apart from that definitely would recommendMore

Another excellent stay at the Louis Phatheon
Back from another excellent stay at the Louis Phatheon (17-24th June 2015). All the staff were excellent, as was the service and the food. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, even when we broke our key in the door lock, this was rectified quicker than my wife could drink her tea - well done reception and maintenance. A big special thank you to all the bar staff who work so hard and kept the drinks flowing, but not just in the evening but also in the afternoon. The bottle of wine and thank you letter for returning in our room upon arrival was a lovely thought and much appreciated. We are already planning our dates to return next year. The manager must be so proud of his team - keep up the excellent work.More

Me and my partner loved this holiday, my third time to this hotel and his first. It has so many activities to choose from, I would defiantly push families to go as it is a hotel based around family fun rather then couples. It is clean, lovely food, great weather, 3 pools, based by the sea, water slides, around great place.More
