It’s all about the pools at the Louis Phaethon. On top of a huge H-shaped number, there’s a new pool that’s open during summer and notches up six waterslides, plus an indoor pool that’s open year-round. Elsewhere, the food gets a thumbs-up thanks to a buffet place with show cooking, and a Viennese café. As for location, the hotel is right on the beach and Paphos is only a short bus-ride away.

There's a trio of slides to try out, and the multi-lane one is great for a race. The waterpark is only open in the summer, from 1st May to 31st October. Just so you know, you will need to be aged 8 and 1.2m tall to ride the slides.

The food is really great, lots of different buffet food stations, some for salads etc.The desserts would add a stone to your weight simply by looking at them ! The hotel is around a 45 min. walk to Paphos along the beautiful coast path behind Hotel. There is a regular bus service to Paphos and airport. Ok , the hotel is not a 4 * , 3 at best. The hotel has lots of activities , quizzes , overloud Tannoy announcements, a bit too HI DE HI . The staff are great , rooms are tired but well cleaned and perfectly fine. This is really not my sort of hotel and yet we had a great holiday and oddly would return! The most annoying aspect, apart from the Microphone noise from the bar, was the huge internet costs which was a real rip off, Any questions please ask.More

So much good about this hotel
From the moment we first arrived this hotel impressed. A delayed flight meant that we [and many others] were technically too late for an evening meal. However the hotel had kept the restaurant open so that everyone was fed on arrival. The quality and quantity of the food, both at breakfast and the evening meal was exceptionally high. A good range of options, all well prepared, and with helpful staff clearing tables quickly. The room was comfortable, well equipped [including a fridge] and with a great sea view. The rooms was cleaned daily and towels changed during the week. We would definitely be happy to stay here again. A couple of minor niggles ... having to pay for wifi in 2014 was not good, but many cafes restaurants nearby had free wifi so we were able to use theirs most of the time. Also we couldn't find any quiet areas in the hotel to sit and relax. The lobby bar areas were always full and had entertainment most of the time, so we ended up having to sit in our room if we wanted to read. But these are minor niggles. The reception staff were always helpful, efficient and friendly. The grounds were well kept, the pool and games areas good. All in all one of the best hotels we have stayed at when using Thomson Holidays.More
first but not the last
The whole experience was brilliant from the moment we arrived up till we left. Arrival was organised well, our room with sea view was large and comfortable, also kept spotless by cleaning service. The restaurant provided the widest choice and food was excellent, had read less than positive reviews, can only think they were written by the fussiest of eaters. Dido and the animation team provided high quality entertainment without being an intrusion. There was so much to do but we never felt pushed to do anything except enjoy our holiday. The only point I would make on the down side was the charge for WiFi. Most hotels have at least an area where WiFi is provided free, luckily bars in Pafos did provide this. Overall I would recommend this hotel for a couples holiday as we had and also for families as there was so much for kids to do. We were lucky to have a wedding and a few other celebrations in the hotel while there, the staff did everything to ensure guests had a good experience.More

Spring Sunshine Week
Lovely spring weather with one wet day - better than expected in February. Arrived at hotel late on Sunday night. Snack meal ready and waiting for us in dining room. Well organised check in and up to excellent room. Heating still on as its winter in Cyprus so no air con but just opened balcony door. Headed down for breakfast, everything you could possibly want on offer. Lovely grounds and swimming pool. Packed lunches can be ordered the day before, again excellent. Entertainment on every evening, everybody very helpful. Only 1 thing lets the hotel down and that is the gym equipment which is dreadful. Well done to all the staff.More
Just returned from a weeks holiday here, weather not brilliant but the hotel was lovely,we arrived late but were shown to restaurant for lovely food which was appreciated after the long journey, the staff were lovely too especially Maya the waitress. A couple of things to take note of:...no need for adaptor plugs..uk plugs sockets are used...no need to take hairdryer...thats supplied..you will need towel for the pool though...if possible ask for pool view...most rooms get sun for good couple hours...we stayed in room 1081 initially overlooking tennis courts but this side don't get any sun, previous reviews said sunny bar side was noisy but i asked in reception to be moved and was changed to room 1050 which was sunny all day. The all inclusive food was AMAZING...best i have ever had,I'm quite fussy eater, only like chicken, such good choice of meals and desserts, could not fault hotel restaurant for anything. only downside was the location as in not much around hotel, this was not helped by the weather being dull which of course is not hotels fault but we caught bus down to the harbour which cost €3,return,well worth couple hours out. overall it was a relaxed holiday, lovely hotel, lovely staff, lovely food, clean, would definitely stay here again but maybe diff month due to the weather, didn't realy go downstairs for entertainment but heard they were good...got bitten few times by mosquitoes so make sure you take repellant,More
