Louis Phaethon Beach Club

Pools are where this hotel triumphs – it’s even got its own waterpark.

It’s all about the pools at this place. On top of a huge, H-shaped one, there’s a new pool with 6 slides, added during a refurb in 2012. Rooms had a makeover at the same time and have a fresh feel. And there's modern dining, too.

When it comes to eating and drinking, highlights include an al fresco Chinese and a Viennese café. As for location, the hotel is in a quiet spot by a small beach. Paphos harbour is less than 10 minutes by bus.

Waterpark

There's a trio of slides to try out, and the multi-lane one is great for a race. The waterpark is only open in the summer, from 1st May to 31st October. Just so you know, you will need to be aged 8 and 1.2m tall to ride the slides.

Thomson Kids' Club April to October

Designed for 3 to 11 year olds, Thomson Kids’ Club offers 2 hours of activities, 5 or 6 days a week. And that includes at least 3 evenings. It’s split into sections, with Tots for 3 to 5 year olds, Team for 6 to 8s, and Tribe for 9 to 11s. Best of all, most kids’ clubs activities are completely free. And outside of peak season, there are parent and toddler sessions three days a week, too. For your peace of mind, all Thomson Kids’ Club staff have advance DBS checks and hold NVQ Level 2 childcare qualifications. They’re First Aid trained, and there’ll be at least two of them on duty at all times.

Esperides international and Cypriot buffet restaurant

Esperides offers buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, with Cypriot and international cuisine. Kids are well catered for too with their own buffet offering and highchairs. Themed nights are held here each evening rotating between gourmet, a carvery, Italian, Cypriot, seafood, international and Phaethon dishes. Dietary requirements can happily be catered for on request. There is an evening dress code here, gentlemen are asked to wear long trousers and long sleeve shirts or short sleeve t-shirts.

Brilliant

This hotel is amazing. It is an all round great place. There is lots to do for all ages, from quizzes, table tennis to aerobics. Everyone is friendly and has a great feel to the place. The entertainment was the best we have seen in a long time, it caters for all ages. Bingo show and party which is fanastic. You can tell the entertainment team work hard here, during the day and evening. I had an accident while I was I Here which resulting in me been in hospital overnight the staff and reps were fanastic and I really felt thankful for there professional and caring personalities. We will return next year definitely and I'm looking forward to itMore

Fullofwonder11,

Fabulous Hotel!

Spent a week here in April to attend a wedding in the hotel. Friendly, helpful staff, rooms very clean, maid service every day. Choice of food and drink was the best I have had in any all inclusive but the efficiency and friendliness of the staff made our holiday special - so much so I have already booked to return to the Phaethon next month. Others in our party have also already booked to return next year.More

just come back from a wonderful week at this hotel for a wedding from the moment that we arrived at just after 12 midnight where we were greeted with hot food a cold beer and friendly smile we felt at ease . weather you are going as a couple , a family or for a wedding the staff are lovely very friendly and approachable . when we got to our room that was very clean and tidy if a bit small everything we needed was there ,after all most of your time here will be spent outside if in one of the pools (2 large pools 1 kiddies pool ) on the brilliant water slides or in the clubs with the great entertainment team .the food was great if a bit repetitive at times but plenty of choice at all meal times from local dishes to things that we know from rice crispies to a full english .bar and resturant staff were great very quick service and allways with a smile . as a whole the hotel was the cleanest i have stayed in and the staff from management to housekeeping. reception to entertainers were of the highest quality i have seen .will be going back very soonMore

Tanya R,

Can't thank the hotel staff enough

Lovely hotel, great food, lovely grounds, swimming pools, so much to thank this hotel for, I cannot put it into words. Unfortunately my partner was taken seriously ill on arrival at the hotel and I thank the following staff for all their help: Claudia, the beautiful Guest Service Manager, the Reception staff - Katia, George, Lana, Stella, Nadia and Ellada, Mr Thanasis F&B, Mr Mathew, Silvio the porter, all the bar and restaurant staff. Most of all a big thank you to the brave Paul who climbed across two balconies on the third floor to rescue my partner and arrange for a doctor and ambulance to be with us in minutes. The staff were so friendly, kind, caring and considerate to me during my partner's stay in hospital, nothing was too much trouble for them. Big kisses to you all. XXXMore
