A quiet setting and fabulous sunset views – just a couple of reasons people check in here, time and again.

Peaceful, relaxing hotel
A great hotel which I visited for the second time, from 7-14th June 17. I was not disappointed, in fact it was even better than I remembered. The reception area and the bar area have been opened up into the lounge area and it is now a great open area. My room was ideal, clean and held everything I needed. It was cleaned everyday and the cleaning ladies always did a good job. The restaurant and the food was ideal. There was a great choice of food and I should think there was something for every taste. The staff in the restaurants were friendly and very helpful. The outside area was kept clean and there were plenty of sun loungers as long as you didn't want one close to the pool. There were being reserved from 05.40 in the morning. I would especially like to thank Yvonne and her staff, I believe they are customer relations/reservations. I emailed the hotel before I was due to travel and asked if I could have a room close to the lifts as my mobility had decreased, I received a lovely email back and when I arrived my room was only 3 rooms from the lift. Just great. All in all I had a lovely relaxing, peaceful holiday with plenty to eat and drink. Well done to the Queens Bay hotel. Your hotel is great. I have already booked to go again in May next year.More
Just as described!
Hotel was just as we expected from website.Everywhere was very clean and felt new.All the staff were very pleasant and helpful, service was spot on and ,good choice at meal-times. Room was cleaned everyday with new towels and bed linen, bed was very comfy and a proper double! Air conditioning was first rate and very welcome as it was very warm whilst we were there. Daytime activities were good and evening entertainment was ok just not our thing. Gardens were excellent and well maintained by the regular gardener. Nice walk to local bay, sheltered spot for swimming. Only thing they could do to improve is to display prices on Spa poster we think people would be more likely to use the service if they were made more aware of prices. Good local bus service. All in all great 10 days can't wait to come back!More
Another return visit to QBH still as great as previous visits. Loved the new reception & lounge area, really has opened it up. Still a fantastic view from the balcony of my room looking over the pool area to the little bay and the beautiful sea. So peaceful to sit with a coffee early mornings watching the hotel wake up. Impressed with the new Boules area well set up with chairs, tables and shades, also was glad to see Kaled still doing his same excellent entertainment (great guy). A few changes in bar and restaurant staff, but that's to be expected in the hospitality business however all the staff old & new were very warm & welcoming. All meals were off the usual high standard & plenty of choice. My room was kept spotlessly clean by the housekeeping staff ( good job). Met loads of people from previous visits and made some new friends, the ambiance of this hotel makes it easy to get to know people. All in all a great holiday for me.More
WHAT A SHAME
This was my third visit and my wife's sixth , we were overwhelmed by the recent improvements made to the hotel over the winter months . We were well set for a relaxing two week stay , or so I thought . From day one I saw an Englishman sat in the bar area for 4 nights in a row puffing on and blowing clouds of smoke from an e cigarette contravening EU regulations ( i smoke but found this offensive ) . Once I reported this the matter was dealt with quickly by the management . The pool area is a lovely place to sit and relax in the sun . There are two noticeboards displaying the rules and regulations of the pool but no dedicated hotel staff to enforce them . I have seen the plague of Russian children grow more and more each year , misbehaving in and around the pool area breaking most rules on the board . The most shocking incidents i witnessed were committed by two Russian families ( four adults and five children ) . I saw the parents drinking from beer cans and wine bottles whilst in the pool as their unsupervised children terrorised other pool users with their splashing continual shouting and "bombing " into the pool next to decent folk . Twice i approached the management about this as my wife was getting distressed by their antics and said that a confrontation was immanent . On returning to our sunbeds after the second report , the Russian man and eldest boy started fooling with a metal sunbed swinging it inches from my wife . Enough was enough and after a face to face exchange of words his wife dragged him away . Leaving no option but to report him once more less than half an hour after the previous . As the hotel CCTV cameras caught this episode something was finally done about this after suffering and basically losing two days of our holiday because of their outrageous behaviour . Peace and calm returned , other than several occasions of very loud music from other guests . The hotel does not have a kids club and does not really cater for young children . There is now free WiFi unlike previous years . Breakfast and lunch were ok but I found the evening meals lacking , too much choice and not enough quality . I also witnessed so called " ex pats " wandering in and using the facilities including karaoke and taking over with their already printed song choices in hand . One who sung under the name of " bruce " i saw trying to sell his cd's to guests . Holidaymakers were left waiting to sing in favour of the so called " ex pats " who were , i must say , not the best in the world . The staff were friendly and helpful as always though lots of new faces from previous years . Rooms were clean and tidy . members of staff that stand out for extra praise are Pambos ( bar ) Sonia ( downstairs / upstairs ) Khaled ( entertainment ) Janek and Ivan five star service from each of them . Unfortunately though . despite all of the hotel's good points , after my experiences this year it is highly unlikely that another return visit will be made unless drastic steps are taken to improve on the highlighted points .More
