Hotel Best Tenerife

This hotel has one of the best pools in Playa de las Americas. And it’s only a 10-minute walk from town and beach.

The pool here is a showstopper. Set in tropical gardens, it’s a lagoon number and comes with a waterfall and poolside bar. There are 2 more bars inside, plus a buffet restaurant.

Step outside the hotel and you’re only a 10-minute walk from Las Vistas beach, and about the same from the bars and clubs in the centre.

superb value for money

I have been to Tenerife many times but particularly enjoyed this latest week the hotel is in a very central position and very clean the staff are wonderful Gregory in the buffet restaurant really looked after us the pool was lovely always plenty of sun loungers the food is amazing we didn't want to dine out and that's a first!! In reality it is not the most exclusive restaurant in the area but I still think it is excellent and the Piano bar by the reception is very nice the only minor negative would be if you need the loo whilst in the restaurant it is a bit of a trek but apart from that I have to say a big hats off and thank you to all at the BEST especially Gregory top lad !! Oh and free WIFI everywhere that was a bonus.More

Certainly not the Best! Beware!

After the experience we had i feel that it is our duty to report the Health and safety risk for the people staying here in the near future!! When we booked we requested a quiet, pool side view room and asked for the hotel to be notified its our honeymoon. When we got to our room we were given a room that looked out to the main road. We decided at the time as they were requests we will just deal with it. After a day we noticed a few issue like the air con controller coming away from the wall. Then on the second day we took our daughter up for a nap. During this time i put her DVD player on charge and the surround to he main supply fell off, what then exposed the cables. This is a big health and safety risk to my 4 year old daughter and the rest of my family. She was then rudely woken up by drilling, cutting and hammering. This was the last straw and i decided to speak to the rep. She was able to get our room changed. What we took this after quickly checking it was safe and that it was a pool side room. The rep explained that the hotel is renovating and that they hadn’t informed any of the holiday providers. If we had know this we would have booked else were. Later in the week my daughter and wife who is 5 months pregnant sat on the pair of massaging chairs that are in the lobby. My daughter asked if she could have a go, what i was prepared to do, until i noticed that the electrical supply to this was exposed and laid out on the floor behind the chairs! The potential for the live and neutral to be shorted together is massive and a worse case scenario someone (a child playing around to walk or crawl behind to put their hand across this would lead to possible electric shock!) The standard of food that was being served was low and always cold even if you went early. The food was basically the same every night. It was tasteless, greasy and genially poor. For example the spag bol was just pasta with a tomato sauce with no meat or veg in it. The only good thing about the food was breakfast, this was the same everyday but was a larger selection. We ended up eating out instead of using the hotel. The pool area is very nice and has 2 large size pools, one of which is heated and is mostly used by the children. With very little supervision, which makes it dangerous. Some children jumped in the pool and hit my pregnant wife whilst she was in the pool with our daughter. When i went in with my daughter she had her noodle and was swimming. When a group of children jumped in with no care and would have landed in the middle of her back, pulling her under, if i hadn’t have been in the pool with her and pull her out of the way in time. After this i took her in the larger pool that was colder but much safer. The hotel evening the entrainment for the children, didn’t start still 8:45pm, what is late for some smaller children. My daughter would have loved have joined in, but was normal asleep or starting to fall asleep at this point. This should have been a little earlier for younger children. The entrainment during the night didn’t finish midnight and was very loud making it difficult to sleep some nights if you wanted a early night. The lifts in the hotel, are glass and give a good view of the local area, what is nice. But they are painful slow and you will be annoyed by them by the end of your stay. Now for the good bits: The hotel is in a good location and is a short walk to the beach and the main strip with all the good shops and restaurants on it. The free bus to siam park, stop is just outside. The hotel was always clean. Good selection for breakfast. Thats it i am afraid! We wish, we had never stayed at the Best Tenerife as it almost ruined our honeymoon.More

Really good holiday

Just got back from a week here. The hotel has a great location, close to the beach, shops, nightlife and water park. The hotel does need some renovation but it was always clean and tidy, the rooms were cleaned everyday. The pool has plenty of sun loungers, they did get reserved quickly but we never found a time where they wasn't anywhere to sit. Entertainment was really good, the team were always getting people involved in fun games and the evening entertainment varied each night. I've seen a lot of reviews about the food, there was lots of variation, if you can't find things you like then I don't know what you eat as there was so much choice, much better than any other all inclusive ive been to before. Ice creams and alcohol throughout the day too. All in all very happy with the holiday, any bad reviews are from unhappy holiday makers who will moan about anything. Would definitely recommend.More

lovely staff

Just returned from the best hotel tenerife. The rooms was spotless, the food excellent, and the staff brill, from the cleaners to the bar staff to the receptionist. We had a fantastic time. The childrens pool was lovely and warm but the adult pool was really cold, hence adults in the childrens pool. The rooms do need up dating , but they were spotless. We were a party of 9, and at luch time and evening meal the staff allways managed to get us a table.. would definitely returnMore

Ann W,

What's to complain about

Just back from a 10 day break at the best tenerife. Me my wife and my 3 year old daughter had a ball. The staff at the hotel where amazing. From reception to the entertainment team they always made yoh feel welcome and happy. The service and food was good too. Not the best in the world but it's a buffet, what do you expect. We never struggled to find something we liked for breakfast lunch or dinner. Would highly reccomend staying here and will likely return. It was our first visit to tenerife but won't be our last.
