Hotel Best Tenerife

This hotel has one of the best pools in Playa de las Americas. And it’s only a 10-minute walk from town and beach.

The pool here is a showstopper. Set in tropical gardens, it’s a lagoon number and comes with a waterfall and poolside bar. There are 2 more bars inside, plus a buffet restaurant.

Step outside the hotel and you’re only a 10-minute walk from Las Vistas beach, and about the same from the bars and clubs in the centre.

Once great hotel, now very tired

We stayed at this hotel twenty years ago when it was the Tenerife Princess and couldn't fault it. This time however was different as it has changed so much. Initial impression was that the foyer is empty and devoid of any character whatsoever. Check in was faultless, very quick and easy with lovely staff. Pool towels are supplied for a 10 euro deposit and cost 1.5 euro to exchange for clean ones. The room safe required a 10 euro deposit and the charge was 2.05 euro per day. Our room was on the fourth floor overlooking the pool and sea and was spotlessly clean and very spacious with a good size balcony. There was a fridge which was free to use which was good and within an hour of checking in a member of staff brought us a ‘present’ of two bottles of water and glasses. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries which were replaced when used. Generally the room was good if a little tired, but little things stood out. A lamp plug which wasn’t connected properly. The hair dryer broke on first use which was scary when blue smoke came out of it, but to be fair a new dryer was installed within 24 hours. Food was very good with lots of choice, never very hot but acceptable at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Yes, the food can get a bit ‘samey’ but it is similar in any hotel on an all inclusive basis. We particularly liked the self service for drinks in the dining room and bars for soft drinks, hot drinks and alcohol. The pool area is good with enough sunbeds, but we observed people putting towels on them at 6am!!! OK, if you go down mid afternoon you might struggle to sunbathe where you wanted. The piano bar only had piano music on two evenings out of our seven nights, and the décor leaves a lot to be desired. The chairs are stylish and look very expensive but are very uncomfortable for sitting on and the whole room is cold and has no ambience at all. Entertainment is a bit iffy and seemed amateur to us, so we went out often to the many bars in Playa de las Americas. All in all this is a good hotel but we feel it doesn’t merit four stars, perhaps three and a half.More

great hotel

We have just been to the best tenerife for a weeks allinclusive holiday. We loved the hotel very clean the pool is fab also very clean loved the waterfall plenty of sun loungers avaliable if people didnt put towels out early in morning and not come to the pool till after dinner.. Always clean towels and bedding every day. Came back to the room with a bottle of champagne and a little letter saying happy birthday as it was my partners birthday whilst we where there lovley touch by the cleaning ladies!! Hotel staff some were very pleasant and friendly laughing and joking with you whilst others need to learn how to speak to guests correctly as their attitude stank!!! aircon works well always had a cool room. Entertainment was good foam party and inflatable slides water polo darts and much more through the day all really fun....night time we didnt see much as we ate out being a vegie i was unable to find a hot meal choice from the allinclusive food as most contained some kind of meat but for others there is plenty to choose from. Theres no music playing around the pool unless there is some activity going on such as water aerobics which was abit disapointing as when they finish the music is turned off or is playing very quietly near to the bar. self service drinks was good no waiting to be served. Meal times dont eat alone as if you leave your table your glass and plate will be removed and by time you return with another drink or pudding theres someone else sitting at your table!! we would return to this hotel as we had a good time the hotel is very close to bars and resturants mini golf course and the bus stop for siam park is right outside the hotel but we would definitley not go all inclusive again!More

Lovely!

Me and my partner stayed here in September 2012, we had both been to Tenerife previously in different hotels. The hotel was lovely, very clean and staff friendly. In a good location close enough to everything. Food lovely always enough choice. Loved the photographer round the pool we got a lovely photo while in the pool:-) never a problem getting sunbeds and rooms were ideal. Only problem although slight was nothin allowed in the pool such as lilos or balls etc although a few people were playing with balls when we did it the lifeguard was abit of a killjoy! Would definitely recommend this hotel if your looking for an all inclusive hotel which provides for everyone. More
