The Hotel Bitacora is a family favourite thanks to its A-star location and pool scene. Plus, it’s only minutes away from the shops, bars and restaurants of Playa de las Americas.
The Hotel Bitacora’s main selling point is its location – the hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the beach and only a bit further from central Playa de las Americas.
Families have it made at this hotel. A new adventure playground opened its doors in 2013, and there are two pools and a buffet restaurant.

Bitacora Playa de las Americas
very nice and clean hotel, rooms cleaned and beds made daily, entertainment every evening loads of seating, staff were A+ nothing was to much to ask, we had a problem with our door lock which was being fixed by the time we returned from reception to our room. If eating in the restaurant in the evening men must wear trousers and the staff do enforce this no exceptions, which keeps the appearance of the 4* hotel tip top. now the only downside is that the staff and management don't enforce the not reserving sun beds rule, I went down to the pool at 7:30 am as I couldn't get a sun bed the day before, where out of roughly 250+ sun beds there were only 16 without towels on them and not one person on any single sun bed, I also checked the next morning after complaining to reception, this time I took photos of the area and people abusing and flaunting this rule and spoiling the experience for others, in the end we went to the beach using the sun beds there. In my opinion, unattended sunbeds should have a paper clock with the current time placed on the bed by hotel staff, then if its still unattended an hour later the towel, books sun cream etc left behind should be taken to lost property and the sunbed released to someone that does want to use it.More

Having just been to this hotel,I had to write to say how impressed I was with all the standards, from both the staff, cleanliness and food.before going I read various bad comments on the food.all I can say the people who pass these comments must be epicureans who go fine dining at Michelin star establishments.the hotel is a top end four star establishment and long may it continue.there were descriptions in English with all the main dishes, but maybe in this age of "nanny state"a four page essay should describe every dish!!! I am looking forward to taking my family back in February next year.More

Once again thank you Bitacora.
My wife and I and also on this trip our children & partners (in there 20s) have just returned from another great stay at this hotel, we had the first week on our own & the children came on the second week & the reason I write this as for many years they have said why do you keep going back to the same hotel... well after a week of experiencing this hotel & all that is has such as great food great staff its clean its central its friendly I could go on & on but I wont bore you enough to say though that they like so many others have been bitten by the Bitacora bug & will be returning. Thank you on a personal note to the pool bar staff to Monica to Cabrera & all the bar staff some of who are new to this hotel but you truly have slotted in to the Bitacora way. Also if your the sort of person that enjoys a friendly hotel & enjoy a chat this is the hotel for you we have made some awesome friends one in particular who spends half his life there (Stuart the magnet Diner) & others of all ages and for my wife & I its what a holiday is all about. So if you want a quality holiday in a great location & a great hotel do what so many returning people do & book it.More

me and my wife booked this hotel for a 8 night stay on a all inclusive stay . I will say we are very well travelled and this hotel is a good one. Food was good and varied the service in the restaurant was really good. The room was large modern and spotless .entertainment team was outstanding . All the staff work hard and do try to serve you. Pool areas are good lots of sunbeds but some ppl leave them for hours reserved. Location is pretty good too, On our arrival it was our 10th wedding anniversary I phoned the hotel ahead of our arrival to arrange something special. I was disappointed to find nothing had been done. I did tell the hotel assist manager about it who did give us a bottle of bubbly . Only fault I have with the all inclusive is it ends at 12 lunchtime the day of departure . All the other hotels I have stayed at ,the all inclusive is until you leave. This is a indication that the hotel is profiteering and leaves a sour taste at the end of the holiday. I would highly recommend this hotel ,bar a couple of little tweeks it needs but thank you for a good holiday. More
My wife and I booked this holiday through Thomson's for the first 2 weeks in September and had a fantastic holiday. The staff were superb from Mohamed, Zebin and Cabrera at the Bar to Pinky and the entertainment team. Food was excellent with a large selection to cater for all. Entertainment was mixed although we did enjoy some nights in particular including Michael Jackson , Queen , Beatles and Eagles tributes. The room was very clean and spacious. We will definitely go back next year.More
