Good holiday but wouldn't go again
Stayed here with my family in August for a week . The transfer from Palma took 2 hours it was ridiculous we were all really tired and fed up as it was late when we arrived there was no tea coffee or anything ! The room we stayed in was very clean and had been modernised the maids came in every day and we had plenty of clean towels . The pools are a good size we went to the one across the road which was a bit quieter the poolside snack bar was very good pizza chips chicken nuggets etc and fresh fruit . The food in the restaurant wasn't very good it let the place down the meats were very cheap and a bit odd looking on some of the days ! Breakfast was ok but lunch was really the same every day pasta chips and salads. The evening entertainment was very average the Abba night was fun tho . Overall we had a good holiday but due to location and average food we wouldn't stay there again you get what you pay for !More

Excellent value for the money
Our rooms overlooking the lake where on the 6th floor each had a balcony, and are well furnished with ample storage brilliant air conditioning and on all through the day, hence a great place to flop out when it gets to hot, the reception staff are very helpful and pleasant, this is a large hotel very well run, food and drinks are good with a wide selection of Spanish and European choices, my favourite was the fish, the client base for our 1st week was mostly young families, but this changed on the 2nd week with the start of the school term( much less noisy ) the area the hotel is situated in is served by easily reached public buses well worth using to visit the old city and adjacent port areas the bay is at least 11 kilometres of golden sands clean with pleasant swimming in gently deepening water; very safe for children and poor swimmers and a final swim in the hotels large clean pools, what's not to like there is however quite a problem with insect bites of an evening, my opinion is they are ant bites, very small ants,More

Me and my family stayed at the Lagotel from the 6th to the 13th of September, The 6 of us aged from 25 to 62 all enjoyed our stay. Our transfer from the airport was around an hour which wasn't bad at all. On arrival we were told our rooms weren't ready as we had arrived just as others had checked out we had a walk around the hotel and had our lunch in the main restaurant. We were all on the 5th floor facing the main pool rooms were refurbished and clean and we were all happy with our rooms. Most days we spent at the Breezers pool over the road we preferred it to the main pool as they have a great snack bar over there and we found it had a better atmosphere we never struggled to get a lounger. Entertainment through the day was also good the three men in our group participated in football, archery, pool and I even took part in the rifle shooting. Fabian and his team do a great job both day and night and he became a good friend of our group 'Lose a lifeeee' haha. The entertainment at night usually started with the kids disco then bingo which was for quite a good amount of money for a hotel 300 euros for the house which isnt bad at all. Then the evening show would follow we seen a great michael buble/gary barlow act and we loved the comedian. We didn't enjoy the michael jackson show though. The only thing I would say about the evening entertainment is I think the kids disco should start earlier so after the main show at the end they would have time to put normal music on so everyone can have a little dance. One night the main act finished early so there was some normal music on and everyone was up dancing and joining in with eachother which was great fun. Although the entertainment finishes at 12 we still sat and drunk most nights till after 1 and made some great friends and had a good laugh. We ate in the main restaurant every breakfast and 6 nights out of the 7 for tea every time we all had a full plate including my mam who is a vegetarian. One night we went to a chinese down the road and got a banquet of food which was beautiful too. Playa de muro beach is to die for its beautiful me and my dad also got a massage down there as they have professionals down there we paid 9 euros for a back massage which was lovely. People are moaning about the wifi but to be fair why do you want to go on holiday to sit on the internet when you can do that at home. We all had a great holiday and we would come back to this hotel we found it a great deal and we smiled from start to finish your holiday is what you make of it and we sure made the most of it. Thankyou Lagotel hopefully see yous in the future!More

Lovely Break Away
Just returned from a 5 day break at Lagotel, Playa de Muro. Check in was very quick and all reception staff were polite, helpful and spoke very good English. Our accommodation was pretty much what you would expect from a 3 star hotel. It was basic but very spacious and clean. Only downside was a stinky toilet but nothing horrendous! The pool areas were lovely and very clean. We preferred the pool over the road simply because it wasn't so busy, but neither pools were heaving with people and we never had a problem getting a sun bed at any point in the day. There were times that the pool was even empty! Food is available at both pools from 10am. There was a selection of burgers, hot dogs, chips, salad and fruit being replenished all day. The food again is what you would expect from an all inclusive hotel. It annoys me when people moan about it being the same every day... at the end of the day they are catering for a lot of people with different tastes, and nationalities! It's up to you to choose something different, there is plenty to choose from! We never had a problem with it and enjoyed every meal. Tbe staff work very hard to keep the restaurant turning, so again, no problem finding a table. The entertainment. ....oh dear!! Ha ha. Typical hotel entertainment to be fair. And although not to our taste, everyone else looked to be enjoying it. Location wise it is a little out of the way, byt a 10 minute stroll (which you hardly notice)and you are on tge stunning beach of Playa de Muro. There is also a free shuttle bus which runs every hour if you don't fancy walking. For €9 you can go to the Belle Vue main strip of Alcudia, and a little more will take you to the port. Both are worth a look, particularly in the evening. All in all we've had a fantastic few days in 30 degrees of sunshine! Would definitely go back, but would probably stick to out of season for this particular hotel.More

lovely laid back lagotel
Came home three days ago and already looking for next year. Really lovely hotel to stay in. The staff are so nice nothing is to much trouble. Entertainment at night is great something different every night. The only thing i would say is the pool area and entertainment area could do with a wash as the drinks that get spilt attract ants and wasps. would look so much nicer. met some great people Gary and Zuzana and Magnus. This is the 4th time we have stayed here so that says a lot about Lagotel. See you next year. thanks again for another brilliant holidayMore
