for families with children

room very clean and tidy but we had a buzzing noise that seemed to be in the walls, we complained after first night but staff were not very helpful and we were told to go back later but when we did we were told there were no spare rooms anyway, a staff member came up later that day to say there would be a room available the next day but we felt we had already wasted a day and decided to stay. we were all inclusive and very much the same every day, snacks by the pools should be same on both sides of road ( they were not ), entertainment was only for children from morning until late apart from 1 game of bingo each evening for adults, this is not a hotel for couples or adults without children in my opinion. staff not very helpful or friendly. spoke to rep about our complaint but she said they were usually very good. good minibus to beach area but does not operate the full day on sunday, very little around the hotel and near area . need to get the minibus or a long walk to get to bus routes to alcudia etc.More

honest review from a self catering holidaymaker

I want to be very honest in this review. this is a 3 star hotel, not 5 star so don't expect 5 star, and it is all inclusive so the staff, from what i can see are pretty much abused by holiday makers (not all of them) making glutens of themselves on eat as much as you want. no please or thank yous. i think this brings the hotel down and it would be better either self catering or b&b.half board/full board options. We were not all inclusive and felt a little uncatered for. there were no price lists for the bar food during the day and if you bought a lunch voucher this was only for the restaurant, ate there twice, first time was quite nice, second time was awful, greasy food. very little choice for children. spoke with lots of people whose children had survived on chips for a fortnight. Night time was plastic glasses unless you bought a drink then you got a glass (which we were doing anyway), no offence to anyone else, and im not overly fussy, but i really didnt save all year long to sit around drinking out of plastic cups like being at a concert. Rooms were very clean, beds as comfortable as you can get (not luxury).beds in living room, camp bed awful! plenty of room in apartments and we had three children. Maid staff were lovely and helpful. we were on the 5th floor and ants were a major problem. had to throw everything out from presses and hid food in microwave or fridge from thereon in. not hotels fault that there are ants thought, the come with the territory but were particularly bad. mossies were there, i used a little deet but sprayed all over with avon skin so soft every evening and kept them at bay. i had a total of about 6 bits over 2 weeks, not the end of the world. carry an antihistamine and it brings down the swelling and itch. Pool areas we found great, yes you have to run for your beds in the morning but have done this on every holiday i ever went on, however i found this more amusing than anything else and laughed at some peoples madness and stupidity. pool areas locked at night so safe for children. Cant comment much on night time entertainment as we didnt hang around much. personally found it too much like a cattle mart and preferred going out. but the two nights we were there found it grand, once it quietened down a little and the queues for the bar and toilets weren't as busy. i really enjoyed the holiday as did my kids and definitely would go back if it werent an all inclusive hotel.think they could fit a lovely pizzaria at the outside snack bar and if they werent catering mass production the food could be better. but wasnt too bad. i can see a glint of what this hotel used to be..... if you are looking for an affordable holiday with nice pools, nice rooms and not too far from the beach (i walked all the time) then its the place to go, would definitely prefer muro to more built up areas like alcudiaMore

Lovely family hotel

Myself and my partner had a lovely relaxing week at this hotel. We had a room on the first floor and were upgraded on arrival. Rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. We found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful and felt very welcome. The hotel on the whole was very clean. We used the pool on the opposite side of the road, it didn't have all the daytime entertainment which suited us but still had a snack bar. All bars are help yourself so no queues. Food was great and was being cooked fresh right throughout the day. The main restaurant had plenty of choice and we didn't have one bad meal. The entertainment team work hard, there is always plenty going on and evening entertainment for kids and adults alike. The bingo is very popular, good cash prizes to be won! The one negative for me which stopped me giving a 5* was the noise. We had a room close to main stairs on first floor. Due to pregnancy I was often in bed between 11-12pm. Myself and my partner would struggle to sleep through noise of people going to their rooms and shouting etc up until about 2am. We would then hear every piece of furniture being moved in what seemed like every room above us and quite often this would start at 6am. As the week went on we became increasingly tired and this spoilt it for us. However, all in all its a fantastic family hotel. With lots going on to keep everyone occupied. More

Alarm clock required

We are a family of 5 who have just returned from the lagotel, we found the family rooms a disappointment as we had 2 pushed together beds and a double sofa bed ( very hard) for our 2 boys in living room, our other son slept in what I can only describe as a large chair in a small badly lit room, this was not a 2 bedroom apartment that I booked, some English TV channels and a fridge in the room, food wasn't too bad and snack bars were good at the pools, one big gripe is the daily sun bed race with people queueing from 7.30 with the gates opening at 9am, breezers across the road wasn't as bad but anyone wanting beds and a parasol must be down at 8.45 at latest, we found the evening entertainment generally poor with the staff miming to songs and some average tribute acts, bingo was a big pull for the evening with €1000 on offer some nights, beer wine and soft drinks were self service which stopped large queues at the bar, all in all we had a nice time but wouldn't return as we like a change. Also a mention for Elliot at the soccer academy over the road, our boys enjoyed it apart from the heavy rain one day !!More

Arrival In the first 2 hours I wanted to go home it was terrible we arrived at around ten and had to wait two hours for one of our rooms! When we when to see our rooms we found my parents where on a separate floor and building! By the third day this problem was sorted! Food The food service was amazing! Especially breakfast though I would say their weak spot is lunch I would recommend the snack bar instead of the restraurant. Towels Don't leave your towels we got a moan at for leaving ours by the pool at 10 to 9 we ran out to get our towels but there were already gone. WARNING! The middle breezers pool will cut your toes! People can easily get on the the hotel grounds don't leave children unattended Bags can get stolen by the pool Lifts I don't recommend as they brake a lot Attractions There is not a lot to do around there so as it rain for 3 days we were stuck with nothing to do. Wristbands Wristband are poor quality and brake easily. Go to reception to get a new one. When with my parents I asked for a new one and they happily got one but when with my friend she needed one an they rolled there eyes at us. Overall there is a lot of room for improvement but I enjoyed this holiday.More
