Did the job

Very clean and tidy property. Food was nice, didn't get repetitive. Self service drinks were good idea. Some good night's of entertainment some poor. Close enough to walk to the beach or walk to local restaurants. Got a taxi into Alcudia which was about 8 euro.More

Not a bad place....ruined by unhelpful staff!

We spent 10 days at the above hotel in October. It was quiet I imagine compared to the summer months. The mosquito bites are a nightmare. I'd advised taking every precaution to combat them especially if you have a lake view room. We checked in on the 29th September at 2pm and this was easy and quick. When we arrived in our room we were pleased to see it was clean. However we only had two twin beds pushed together for a family of 3. When I raised this with reception I was told by Marti that all rooms were the same and that there were no double beds anywhere in the hotel.  When I questioned this I was then advised that the hotel had only 5 double rooms.  I was rudely advised a cot could be put up. However, I declined this as my daughter is 3ft 1in (very tall for 3) and would not fit. Marti's response was simply to advise that he would not do anything further.  We then tried to get the TV to work for my little girl to find no English channels working.  Again, I went to reception to be met with Marti and a technician who told me it was all fine and I could not use the TV correctly and I was basically lying to them about what channels were working. I do not appreciate being called a liar. I would like to point out that due to a storm the satellite did not work correctly for 5/6 days. I then asked if the USB ports were working to be told that they were all disabled.  I have spoken to several people who have refuted this information.  The next reception issue I had was when the extremely heavy door bolt to lock your door fell out. Bearing in mind I have a toddler on wet tiled floors I was concerned this may cause an accident.  Off I went to reception to see Marti (again and by now he was visibly rude) to again be insulted by him. His response to me this time was "The previous occupants did not bring this to my attention and that for security purposes the doors do not lock internally". I can only assume that he was implying I caused this and I was an idiot.   This was the final straw and I asked to speak to a manager to be told no one was available.  Nor was a manager available on my following four attempts.  The door lock was replaced by a lovely man and sure enough it LOCKED! The remainder of my stay was to be greeted by reception with a cold manner and everything seemed to be too much trouble,  even when my partner asked for a pen and paper. I tried to avoid reception whenever the above staff member was on. However, Catalina was amazing. The next issue and biggest came in the restaurant.  We sat down to dinner and I tried the chicken curry.  To my horror I found the chicken wss uncooked. By this I mean raw. Pink. I brought this to the managers attention.  His response was unbelievable. He came to our table and told me that the chicken was cooked.  When my partner refuted this the manager huffed and removed the plate. No apology was offered.  And even more concerning than that was that the uncooked chicken was left out.  The manager then became cold and rude any time we went in. I would expect a much better service from a manager.  I am afraid to say that I feel this manager with his casual disregard for health and safety of his guests will in future cause a loss to the hotel. It truly is a shame that we were met with this lack of care. The hotel itself was nice and to take nothing away from most of the staff. Pal the shuttle driver in particular. He was always smiling and helpful.  Even when he was sent to replace a phone in my room which I was again told was working when it wasn't. He did it all with a smile. And I must give a huge thanks to the animacion team.  Fabian,  Anna, Janina and Tess were absolutely amazing.  I believe that if it was not for these guys that the hotel would not have as many families. It will be a huge loss if Fabian is indeed leaving. A lovely holiday otherwise spoilt by uncaring and insulting staff. I would put Fabian in charge! I have taken pictures of the uncooked chicken. I feel that people should definitely pay attention to the meat. More

could not fault it

really lovely hotel ,pools soo refreshing [be careful of top pools if you have children they are deep}everything perfect about this place . i did get bit to pieces by midges after using sprays,plug ins, bands, etc .so next time i just wont buy them.Wish i was there.now,book it and enjoy itMore

Fine - good value

I visited here with my husband, 11 month old son and father. We had booked all inclusive for two weeks and got a good deal, during the time of year we thought it would be quiet ( no kids) but it must have been Irish school holidays as it was full of children even some English. We arrived at lunchtime and check in was easy and swift. We went to our room which was a double with single type sofa bed and a cot. The rooms looked like they had recently been refurbished. There was enough room for all 4 of us and the balcony overlooked the beautiful lake at the front. We had no problem really with being bitten. The food was fine - nothing spectacular although always something to suit most tastes, eg chicken, pork, fish and always something for children like chips, burgers or sausage or chicken nuggets or pasta. You were only allowed rose wine in the restaurant. Other wine was available in other bars. Dining was an experience mainly because of some guests! The pools were large and great children's areas too. The entertainment team during the day was very good- we did archery a few times and darts. We preferred the pool over the road - it seemed a bit quieter although for the second half of the last week we went to the beach as it was more interesting. There was a laundry room which seemed well used and plenty of toilets which were always clean. Bingo was a daily evening occurrence and then other acts which sounded great but I would always go to bed early with the baby. Most people seemed quite friendly who worked at the hotel. I would like to say I would return but unfortunately some of the clientele and their behaviour definitely put us off. More

leg it to lagotel !!

quick registration lovely reception staff very helpful. lovely large very clean rooms with a view over pools large sunny balcony. pools are large and very clean never a problem getting sunbeds. quiet pools across the road with their own bar service very good. all inclusive was exceptional value and food was plentiful and hot. you could help yourself to wine beer and soft drinks and of course tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc plenty lifts all working well. no small poky dark corridors all lovely and open and very fresh. free shuttle down to the beach every half hour . pleasant 10 to 15 min walk if you feel inclined. food tasty and plentiful microwave if needed, only down side coffee is awful just take some sachets job done ! the best rice pudding i have ever tasted had it every day heated up in microwave delicious !! rooms are large with lovely comfy beds plenty wardrobe space. 32 inch tv with several english channels . bingo played if you like it, good fun. entertainment above average 3 star. reception could do with refreshing sofas a bit dated . small gym, sauna and jacuzzi. with a few tweaks this hotel could easily be 4 star. for a quieter nights sleep ask for a lake view room as rooms facing pool are quite noisy until about 1am noise seems to echo take ear plugs . i would definately go back which is unusual for me enjoy pic to followMore
