We are just back from a lovely holiday at the Lagotel. This hotel is definitely one of the best 3 star hotel's we have stayed in. Every single member of staff is friendly and very hard working, always smiling. We had a family room overlooking the pool/entertainment area which was lovely and clean with plenty of wardrobe space. The air conditioning was brilliant, although the sun wasn't on the room during the afternoon so it never felt uncomfortable. The food in this hotel was great, lots of choice, always hot and we never had to queue once. The bread rolls and choice of cheese and ham was a particular favourite! The bar areas were very clean and the fact that drinks were self service meant we never had to queue, unlike most hotels we have stayed in. The pool areas are very spacious with plenty of bins, for the many drinks cups we got through each day! We particularly liked the grassed areas towards the back for sunbathing. The entertainment team are amazing and kept everyone entertained throughout the day and night. There are only 2 downsides we could find with our stay, one is the lack of sunbeds. If you weren't down by 9am for the embarrassing sunbed dash, where people were actually running and hiding in bushes to get their beds only to reserve them and disappear until hours later, you couldn't get a bed! I think if the hotel invested in a few more beds this would be much better, as there is plenty of space to add more. The second downside is the sports facility. My son loves to kick a ball around and it was a real shame you had to pay to use the football court as there was never anyone in there for him to have a kick around with. If they had an area for this it would be great as there wasn't really anywhere for the teenagers to meet apart from the reception area. A table tennis table in the bar area would have been great too. We used the one over the road where you had to pay, but the facilities had to be booked per the hour, which we found was too long in the heat. We tried to book a half hour squash court, even offering to pay and split the hour into 2 sessions, but the owner was having none of it! The resort of Playa Muro is lovely, much bigger than we thought it would be, with an amazing beach, all within a ten minute walk. All in all a fantastic hotel, one we would certainly return to and would recommend to others.More

We just come back after a weeks stay and I couldn't find one negative bit about the holiday it was superb. Food was better then English food most of the time. rooms were superb with cleaners in everyday. The staff were amazing loved them all we are coming back net year. The transfer from the hotel was the longest bit of the holiday. The town not a far walk about 7 mins to be precise and a free shuttle bus was ace very nice hotel nice people excellent holiday.More

This hotel has a lovely setting but it is completely spoiled by the fact it is overcrowded and constantly noisy. The food is good but it is an absolute scrum to get to the buffet table and then you are practically sitting on the guest next to you ! You have to queue for sunbeds and forget about getting a table for the evening entertainment unless you want to be there 2 hours early! The evening entertainment goes on until 11.30 and it is very loud especially if your room is near which many are. Apparently the other side of the hotel has quieter rooms but there is a grupotel right opposite blasting out music till after 12! Then there are kids running riot all over the hotel until the early hours. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday avoid at all costs.More

Stayed in a one bed apartment which on arrival was not clean...hair (all types ð), dust, sticky marks all over the floor (obviously hadn't been swept properly or mopped). The toilet had dried urine under the toilet seat, again not cleaned properly, and the balcony was very dirty also. Apartments are nowhere near as nice as the hotel rooms, they are very basic. Pretty annoying when you have to fork out more ££ for an apartment. Also the hotel rooms are cleaned every day and the apartments are only cleaned (clean towels and beds made) every two days! Food was average, nothing special and not much choice. Very repetitive and everything tastes the same. We witnessed a few children being sick and spoke to a few adults who felt unwell and thought it had been the food although we were all ok. Pools were lovely but hardly ever seen the areas surrounding the pools or hotel grounds being cleaned. They were always sticky and dirty looking. The tables weren't wiped down very often either. The usual carry on with sun beds, people putting towels on them and not appearing until after lunch time or families having sun beds for their kids who spent the whole time in the pool and never once laid on their sun beds. This hotel is the noisiest hotel we have ever stayed in. Noise noise noise all night, very thin walls ð¡ Wifi is crap. Mosquitos are a nightmare, we were all eaten alive and had to go to a pharmacy for antibiotic cream and repellant! Repellant is a must. Lastly if you have children do not let them go on the boats on the lake. They are not supervised by a lifeguard and no life jackets. When we were there our children and friends (two 14 yr olds and three 12 yr olds) were given a boat by reception and they left the lake which leads to canals all over Majorca. They got stuck and ended up being rescued by the coast guard and brought back by ambulance with the police in tow. More
We booked this as a cheap getaway for 9 of us and I had read a few negative reports and wondered what I was getting us into....this place is fantastic and well worth the money that we paid. The rooms were very roomy and cleaned to a really good standard with fresh towels each day and clean bed linen when asked for. All the staff that we encountered were very friendly. The food was delicious, especially the soups (onion deserved two bowls) and a good variety. I ate mostly vegetarian and always found something to eat. Loads of fresh salad. The kids enjoyed the ice cream on tap and the drinks were great. Entertainment was ... entertaining, to say the least! One singer was so bad he was good, making us giggle each time he crucified another song and we are still laughing about it now. The hotels entertainment team worked really hard and were fantastic with the kids as well as the adults. For a 3 star hotel, it was excellent value for money. We met many people who had been several times and it is easy to see why. Are we going back again? Yes, most definitely! Well done Lagotel!More
