Food needs improving
My wife and I have recently returned from a weeks stay at this hotel. We arrived about midday on 2nd October and were pleased to find our room was ready to use immediately despite check in not usually being until 2pm!! This quickly turned into shock as we were told to pay a â¬15 tourism tax. I concede this may have appeared on the Thompson website but a verbal reminder would have been nice! The room itself was a little smaller than we had initially envisaged. The balcony gave a partial view of the lake, however being attached to a flat roof with only bars separating the balcony left us a little concerned if we had had children. There is only 1 pillow supplied on each bed with no spares in the room. The bed was also rather low causing problems for my wife who has back issues. The room was very clean and the bathroom spacious. I would recommend using the do not disturb sign in the mornings however as a maid opened our door and tried to walk in at 8am when we were trying to get dressed The food was our biggest issue with the hotel. At every lunchtime we noticed the dishes were all very similar. There was also a lot of emphasis on pork and fish. This left me with a problem as I am Jewish and do not eat pork and strongly dislike fish in any form. Dinnertimes were a little better with only one dish of chicken on most nights and rarely any beef dishes. I am also unable to eat much vegetables due to medical issues, so we often ate chips, bread rolls and dessert for lunch. The snack bar was not much better. Batches of burgers, chips and nuggets were left out in the sun all day. This left them dry and lukewarm, not to mention available for flies to tuck into! Drinkwise these were not too bad and the self service system for all inclusive works well. The restaurant staff are often over zealous. We had to ensure someone was always sat at the table to ensure it wasn't cleared before we finished. Extra cutlery by the buffet would also be helpful. The pool area was very nice. We only really used the main pool area. There were always plenty of sunbeds available, however these often had to be lugged into position as they were left stacked. The hotel also employs lifeguards which is a fantastic idea. The entertainment was fantastic. Angel and the team run a full programme which we regularly participated in. Evening entertainments were also well run, our particular favourites being the quiz show and live rock band. We hope the hotel chooses to bring back Angel and Denise in particular as they are both superb. Overall our holiday was pretty good, what bought it down was the food in particular. We were also surprised to discover that the safe would cost â¬18 to rent, forcing us to lock our valuables in a suitcase. There was also a high charge to rent a kettle! Hardly all inclusive!More
lagotel playa de muro
No real complaints about this hotel budget hotel at a budget price, good location, easy walk to the beach room basic and clean daily maid service. Only two little niggles for us 1, the swimming pool was freezing and the evening entertainment was too loud for us though all the staff seemed to work very hard. On the plus side all the staff we spoke to were helpful and friendly.More

Stayed here early October as a couple. Our room 420 was clean, spacious & quite over looking the lake/marshes. It was the first time we had done all inclusive so found a good choice of food to suit all, also the times for dinning were longer than I expected. Staff were pleasant, helpful & hard working. The resort itself was not really for us, too quite not many pubs/ restaurants but we caught the buses to Can Picafort & Puerto Pollenca & found the fares very reasonable at 1.55 & 1.90 euros each. Warning though on market days it hard to get a bus.More
Excellent hotel and Entertainment
If you love Entertainment, Clean hotel rooms overlooking the nature reserve and Friendly staff then this is the Hotel for you. Even though the entertainment went on till 1130pm we didn't mind as the entertainment was very good and we could watch and listen to it from our balcony room. Its a great vantage point for the S' Alburfera Nature reserve.More
I stayed here from 09/10/16 until 15/10/16 with my mum and daughter as a last minute holiday. First of all the grounds surrounding the hotel are beautiful with a wonderful lake filled with lots of wonderful birds. we were given a family room with two single beds and a pull out bed what was already out and made up for out arrival. The rooms are bright and spacious with nice views from every side with an added bonus of a fridge. The bathroom is a decent size with a hairdryer and a bidet but the bath is pretty low down. Fresh bedding and towels were provided everyday without request. Its a clean hotel well kept and well lit up in the corridors on a night. The pools are all a decent size and clean three being in the main grounds and another two across the small road (part of the hotel), these ones are alot less busier than the main ones. The staff are very helpful and always smiling especially the main bar staff and entertainers. The mini disco is quite repetitive and gets pretty draining after the 5th night however the cabaret show and magician that was on that week were very entertaining, however the bingo is very expensive being â¬10 for a strip of 6 (pretty pricey). The food and drinks are good, basically what you would expect from a 3 star hotel with food for every culture, Snacks are available at the pool bar throughout the day thats constantly getting restocked. The hotel is near a nature reserve so the Mosquitos are quite a problem so if you suffer with bites then i would strongly recommend taking every available thing on the market as the prices are ridicules for repellants in the local shops and chemists. Their is a small supermarket under the hotel that has various opening times however its not really up to much, just a five minute walk their is a spar and a further 5 minute walk is the main strip where all the shops, pubs and restaurants are, there is also a free shuttle that takes you to the beach every half hour which is handy for people who cant walk far or ideal if you just dont fancy walking and the gentlemen who drive it are really friendly. The wifi is quite good with a strong signal that can be used around the pool and also in the rooms and its free (massive thumbs up) the hotel was starting to quieten down as if it was due to close for winter on the Monday after we left, however we never realised this at the time of booking so after a nice day at the beach we got back to the hotel to find at least 300 Spanish guests checking in that totally took over the full hotel. My god it was bedlam. Overall i love Mallorca, alcudia being one of my favourite resorts and i would defiantly stay in this hotel again its a really fun family hotel. More
