Great hotel would deffinately go back!!

Me and my partner have just got back from the lagotel after spending 2 weeks there! I was pleasantly supprised as it was a cheap holiday we deffinately felt we got our moneys worth! Food was good, rooms were clean and modern! The area was a bit secluded but only down the road from alcudia and lots to do there. All in all would deffinately go back!More

Stayed here for a week, first impression, I wanted to turn the bus around and go elsewhere. However that wasn't going to happen so we made the most of it. Hotel generally ok, seemed to have a lack of staff. First Choice waste of time. We were bitten to death by mosquitoes, husband had to go the hospital in Old Alcudia for an injection, between us approx 60+ bites and still suffering. Food very good except for limited choice during lunch time. Entertainment is disgraceful, absolutely disgusting. How someone can shout that loud for several hours chatting absolute bull is beyond me. Shame on the hotel and for people to rate it is beyond me except they must have been heavily intoxicated. Playa de Muro is lovely but had I have read reviews just previously here on trip advisor about belongings being stolen I would not have booked. This is not acceptable and I agree that the pool across the road can have any Tom, Dick or Harry walk in and help themselves, but as previously said, lack of staff could play a part. . We are sure we saw 2 young children with lager in a plastic cup. Shame on those parents, however it is self serve so their is the potential risk. All in all we love Majorca and made the most of the Pirate show and boat trips etc but I won't be visiting Lagotel again. The Mosquitoes ruined this holiday due to the stagnant lake. This place is a 3 star and I can't rate it higher than that. The last few nights their was definitely a rough element turning up at the hotel and if you had a pool room and can't tolerate noise God help you. These people whilst not wanting to spoil their fun could have been made to take their noise to the inside bar, this went on one night till 1:20am. It's meant to be a family hotel. I advise you look to be a bit more choosy and if you want to be entertained don't come here! Karaoke on out last night emptied half the audience in 15 minutes! Lagotel you need to put your hands in your pockets and pay for some acts!More

Nice, good value, all inclusive hotel

We had a 4th floor 2+2 room overlooking the lake. It was exactly as the photo shows and had aircon. There were only 2 of us so it felt very spacious. Maid service daily except Sunday. Towels changed if you left them on the floor as is usual. There is a full sized fridge in the room, very useful to keep your milk cool for an early morning cuppa; however you need to take your own kettle and t bags etc! There is also a TV in room with some English channels. All inclusive guests have a wrist band and then can use the restaurant, bar and snack bar all day. The restaurant food was very good, breakfast mostly the same daily although a chef was there most days cooking either, bacon, pancakes ( yum yum) or omelettes. Lunch, always salads and a good choice of main dishes, cheeses, fruit and gateaux. And dinner the same but again the chef was there cooking, steak, fish etc. Pool areas were clean in the main, not tidied during the day, it would have been nice if the guests had tidied away there own plastic drinks cups as there were ample bins! In spite of this we never saw any wasps and very few ants. The snack bar was open 10:00 until 18:00 serving chips, burgers, nuggets, pizza and salad and fruit if you could fit in any more food! Drinks, as everything else were self service, very useful for cold drinks around the pool! Cocktails weren't worth the bother of queuing for but the sangria was very nice! We didn't use the daytime entertainment. The evening entertainment was very formulaic, like a Butlins of old, but if you have children I'd remove them after the bingo as the jokes and innuendo were, at times, inappropriate.More

great holiday but

booked through lowcost holidays problem free as always, the hotel is very nice, very clean, staff very friendly and the food is good, sat tv, nice rooms, nice pools, cant fault it for the money but, this was our second visit and we won't be returning, the problem is the evening entertainment is dreadful as its the animation team most nights with the odd terrible act, they do work hard, it might be ok if you went for few days but after that you feel like staying in your room and watching tv, and you don't get snacks after 9 unless you pay, and the mosquitoes drive you nuts,More

Brilliant holiday!

Having stayed here 14 years ago hotel we were pleasantly surprised to find the hotel has been refurbished and looks much more modern, brighter and cleaner. The food was excellent as between my 16 and 9 year old sons and myself we can be picky eaters but there was always something we could eat and enjoy. Special mention to the entertainment team, Lucas, Angel and Lucia, who made our holiday extra special! Whilst the entertainment might not be to everyone's taste, we loved it!!! They work tirelessly throughout the day and night with activities and evening shows. Angel was fantastic with the mini disco and the children love him to bits. Lucas even managed to make bingo fun! My 9 year old thought , in his own words, that the entertainment team were simply amazing. They draw you in and the more you join in the more you enjoy yourself! The rooms were all clean and comfortable, and after the entertainment finished at 11.30pm even our rooms overlooking the bar and stage area were quiet and a good nights sleep was had by all. Mosquito repellant is a must but even the mosquito bites couldn't spoil the holiday.More
