Very enjoyable break

Just returned from 4 day break with 4 teenagers , all had a great time . Plenty of choice of food wine beer and soft drinks on tap so no queuing . Rooms large and quiet at night . Entertainment good and plenty for kids to do . Only downside was mad race for sunbeds but that's more to do with the mentality of us British holidaymakers than the hotel . Would def visit again but probably not at height of season .More

OK Hotel very busy

Family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 10 and 8. The hotel is good we found it clean and the food was better than we expected, always enough choice to satisfy two fussy children. The drinks are OK, most people serve themselves from the taps available on the bars and there was never the long queues we have experienced at other hotels. The quality of the drinks isn't great but you cant expect brand names at these prices. The Hotel entertainment was not great, kids clubs 4-11 and then 12-16 the later group was well catered for with a lot to do, but the younger group was just for the very young children, nothing to interest my children. The evening entertainment consisted of the same 5-6 childrens songs every night which have actions for them to copy about half 8, Bingo every night at 9 and then an act at about 10 (very hit and miss) Children aged between 7-11 will not get much from this hotel. The hotel is big and very busy this time of year with a lot of noise, don't go here for a quiet break. The breezers pool over the road is a lot quieter during the day, but the sunbed run is a joke, we saw people queuing an hour before the pools were opened (why do people do this on holiday) and then doing the comedy fast walk/half run, there must be a better way? The hotel offers a bus to the beach but its only a 10-15 min walk, with the amount of food we saw some people putting away at meal times I would have thought they should have tried to get the exercise. overall we had very good 2 weeks, I would recommend to families only this time of year and only as long as they don't mind the noise and hustle of bustle of such a busy hotelMore

ttbh2014,

Dirt, noise, overcrowd and staff stealing from guests rooms!

The photos of the hotel, previous reviews and talking to the people in the hotel’s group set up on facebook's website made me to book this hotel for holidays (by the way, when I have posted on the fb group's wall “been, seen ... never ever, ever again!!! the worst holiday ever!” I have been deleted from the group with no excuse!). We went there as a family of 8 people – 4 adults and 4 teenagers. Hotel is far from the airport (approximately 60 km) and the best option to get there is to get a taxi (which will be expensive) or hire transfer's company (we paid €200 both ways for 8 of us). We didn't go for shuttle bus, which would be the cheapest option, because we landed around midnight and bus doesn't go straight to the hotel, but stops in several other hotels. Check in: We’ve booked “room only” option, but on check in we've been asked, if we will be interested to go all inclusive for all of us (8 people) and instead of rooms in main building, take apartments located outside – beside football pitch and tennis court. It was very suspicious that we’ve got all inclusive for free (following sentence “nothing is for free”), and we didn’t wait too long to find out why we've got this offer. We’ve been accommodated in apartments for staff (!) basically … dirty, old, with no balcony, full of ants and spider webs, with stained bed clothes, rusty air condition unit and shower head, rusty marks in the bath, paint falling off the windows … all above can be seen on my photos attached. When I’ve pointed that there is big spider on the bathroom's window, member of staff, who did open the room for us, said that these rooms were not cleaned for some time, as nobody use them. Well that was the answer for our concerns. Furthermore we have been told that one of the rooms we should get in first place was on the first floor of main building and member of staff told us they need it tomorrow morning for disabled person. They didn't have rooms for us, basically!!! (by the way the other room was on 7th floor!). And that happened even though I've booked the hotel on 11th January 2014! Great management I have to say! Next day we've got even “better surprise”. My sister in law went to the room to take a shower (by the way there is no hair dryer in the apartments!), but she realized her hair straightener went missing – she didn't even use it! She went to the reception to report it and we went out, when we came back the hair straightener was at the reception. What’s more there were two adapters (Spanish and American together) attached to it! The reception’s excuse was that the cleaner pick the straightener by mistake with the dirty towels. There was no dirty towels as nobody had a shower that day yet and other question is – where the adapters come from then? Entertainment: Every single night is “mini disco” for the youngest, “bingo” and every night different performance after that. There was 2 nights with comedians performing which was very good and we had great laugh, but of 10 nights entertainment there was only 2 good nights – with the comedians. Also when we went to watch entertainment in first night the place was full, so we sat (8 of us) at one square table barely having space to move. I thought there was probably a lot of new guests in the hotel, but that's not the case – every single night you have to sit at the table 2 hours before any entertainment starts, to get enough space for your family ... and that's what we've done, what was completely ridiculous! What's more shocking ... one night we sat beside English family and their 14-15 years old daughter got sick on the floor. Father said: that's from the Sun. However later on I realized that their 10-11 years old son had glass of lager front of him!!! When I said to him “you are not drinking this, I presume?!” as a joke, because I thought it is impossible for so young kid to drink an alcohol, all of the members of the family, looked at me surprised. Actually the 10-11 year old boy was drinking alcohol with his parents while on holidays in family oriented hotel! Their daughter got sick as she was drinking earlier too! What's more the boy was filling up his glass on his own at the bar and the bar staff didn't say a word! Food: There is plenty of food choice for everyone and I have to be honest the staff is absolutely brilliant to filling up the trays – there is plenty of food for all the guests. The staff is also working very hard to clean the tables and the problem with the tables is only at the end of serving time, as staff is to busy to clean all the tables at the same time, but I can understand this, as having so many guests in one place on “all inclusive” option is very, very challenging. Swimming pools: The swimming pools would be nice if there will be less people in the hotel. There is not enough sunbeds for all the guests and the most ludicrous and insane behavior I have ever seen in my life was, when people were waiting in the queue from 8am to get the sunbed! Swimming pool areas are open at 9am and the gang of people runs with the scream to get the sunbeds. Also even if you will be lucky enough to get the sunbed around midday (all the beds are actually gone 5 minutes after 9am!), you can not have a rest – the noise around the swimming pools is just unbearable! I had traumatic (!) experience in this hotel! However I can understand why people “love” this hotel. I've never, ever in my life seen so many obese adults and kids in one place. They go to this hotel year after year after year, and go all inclusive as they can “eat & drink” with no restrictions and they getting bigger and bigger with no self-criticism, shame and disgrace! I was totally disgusted to see 5-10 years old kids eating more than me, and eating constantly! The only reason we stayed in this hotel was the fact we arrived late at night and we had teens with us. If that will be me with the adults only, I wouldn't stay there for the world, and free all inclusive option would not convince me! Never ever, ever again!More

fab holiday

I have just returned from a week's holiday with my daughter who is 8 and we both had a great time. We went all inclusive which I would def do again. The food was delicious with plenty of choice. The entertainment was fun and my daughter loved the mini disco. Fabio and his team do a great job and I think there was some hero worship going on from my daughter and the girls who ran the mini disco! Sarah, fabios' partner who is lovely, runs a hobby club where you can design t shirts and other items which are fantastic present ideas. All the presents I bought from this were widely admired and appreciated. Yes there was a rush for the sunbeds in the morning but I think this happens everywhere in high season. There are three more pools over the road in breezers bar which we went to and always got a bed. It is also quieter over there and a good atmosphere. Room good size and clean. We liked the wide screen telly and English channels. Met some great people who made the holiday. If you are thinking about going then don't think about it, do it, you won't be disappointed!More

laura s,

Short stay

Good hotel for a all inclusive. Bit out of town but a taxi cost 5 euros. Clean very large rooms, more like apartments than a hotel room. There were 8 of us for a birthday, we ordered a birthday cake from the hotel which was a nice touch! I had an fall while there and the hotel staff were amazing and helped a lot. The doctor was also very good. Great for kids loads to keep them busy. If I went again thou, I would not go in school holidays! There are two pools the one across the small road was the better of the two, less children and good snack bar. Supermarket on site too.More
