Would not return to this hotel

Me, my husband and 2 daughters 1 & 6 years old stayed all inclusive for 1 week in August 2014, the hotel itself was fine and pretty clean but the beds felt like we were sleeping on concrete I could not walk in the morning for the first half an hour due to my back being stiff. The food is very repetitive and not to a great standard we ate out for lunch and dinner five times in total which was not ideal as more money spent even tho we had paid to be all inclusive. The drinks are cheap and nasty apart from the fizzy, one cheap beer on pump, fruit juices if that's what you would call them which I personally wouldn't, cocktails after 7 but out of a pump disgusting. Two pool areas are a free for all in the morning everyone running and pushing as soon as the gates opened to put their towels down and then sod off for breakfast leaving no sun beds available, staff were rude, not a great deal of entertainment for young children under 10. Games room is tiny. It's a 15 minute walk to the beach and shops with children in heat isn't great, they do have the shuttle bus every now and then if you can be bothered to wait. We would not go to this hotel again it ruined my holiday and my children's first time abroad.More

Good but twice is enough for us now.

Just got back from lagotel with my fiancé and son 9. this is our 2nd visit in 3 years and not a lot has changed really. The food is nice , cooked properly and varied. The pools are excellent we used the breezers pool across road this time as the main pool is far to busy and I refuse to run to a bed in the morning just so I can sit a few feet closer to the pool. Breezers pool is a lot calmer and civilised. Entertainment is quite good although hasn't changed from last time , it's ran by Fabian who is very funny and quite rude but makes sure what he says goes over the kids head. Now the reason why I wouldn't return is the scum bag families what this cheaper hotel attracts , while the parents sit by pool or bar etc there kids congregate round the pool table or wifi area in reception picking on younger kids, on a few occasions we had to intervene to stop the little brats saying things to my son. Also the noise at night is a joke, we went to bed at gone 12 but you would still hear young kids running round without a parent in sight. This might have only been a problem the week we were here but it's enough to make us not want to return sadly. More

Excellent family holiday!

Just back from a weeks stay at the Lagotel with my wife and 9 and 6 year olds and really cannot find fault with the stay. The family room we had was very spacious, clean and with a lovely view over the lake at the rear of the hotel. Food was fantastic and we all thoroughly enjoyed the meals, with breakfast being a real favourite! Help yourself bars work very well and the Estrella on tap was lovely - minimal queue for spirits in the evening. Entertainment is your typical kiddie disco, bingo (which we won one night - very good prizes as we shared our full house prize, but still had 220 euros!) and followed by variety acts of varying quality - tribute acts, comedy show (not very funny!) magic shows etc. Fabien and his team work very hard and well done to them. They also have a very large tv screen and do show main football matches. My lad played football over the road on a few evenings and for 2 euros well worth the money. We stayed most days over the road at the three pools and yes, just like most hotels over the world reserving of sun beds is a bit of a shame but not a holiday spoiler. We would wander down to the resort centre at around 4pm or there is the regular shuttle you can use as well although is only a 10 minute walk. On our last night we treated ourselves to a lovely meal at the Restaurante S'Albufera which is right near the giant deckchair and the steaks are well worth it! All in all we would quite happily go back next year and as said cannot really find any faults. One happy family!More

Stay at the Lagotel Playa de Muro

A nice hotel, the Food is not too bad, Air Con in every room and we had a good stay. When we checked in on Sunday morning at 1.30am, on 9 August 2014 and we were told that our room was not available and had to change rooms on Monday morning, which was not ideal. The front desk staff were not the happiest in the world with them giving one word answers and could hardly be bothered to look up to talk or smile. Having said this the hotel was clean and the food was okay. We had a great time, but the hotel is quite a walk from the beach We hired a car and there is enough parking around the hotel. Although there are 2 swimming pools it did get crowded and all the towels were put on the sun loungers before breakfast. I would say get down to the beach where it is quietier and the sea was nice and warm. On a final note, we were bitten by insects watching the entertainment, so take a repellent with you. I have never been bitten before in Majorca, after 10 years of visiting the islandMore

great family fun

we have just returned from 2 weeks all inclusive at lagotel, there was myself my mum and my 2 girls aged 7 and 11.we really could not find fault with anything the rooms were spacious and clean, the food was plentiful and varied and there was no excuse to go hungry between using the restauralaints i heard were from people who stayed here without childrennt and the snack did have to be up early to ensure you got a sunbed but this turned into quite a sociable time while waiting and i do feel where ever you go you find this situation and it certainly didnt spoil any of the holiday.the pools were nice and were cleaned every morning one reviewer stated he never saw them cleand he obviously was never up early as i could see the staff cleaning them by 7am every morning.the staff were very friendly and worked very hard, the self service at the bar saved queing as you only queued for spirits and never had to wait long.the entertainment at night was good as it catered for all ages.all in all this is a great family hotel and the only complaints i heard were from people who stayed that didnt have children this hotel is advertised as a family hotel so if you dont want to put up with childrens entertainment go and stay in adult only sum up a great family holiday was had by all and i would definately reccomend the lagotel.More
