A nice clean friendly 3* hotel

Stayed here for a week all inclusive, and was very impressed. I am always ill when I go on holiday and this time I was fine which just goes to show how clean the hotel was, how amazing the food was, and overall just how good the holiday was! We arrived early hours of the morning where a receptionist was there to greet us and we were shown to our rooms quickly to get some sleep in a room which was found to be big and spacious, clean and modern. Breakfast, great. Pools, great (somebody threw up in the main pool one day and did not think to tell anyone however! But we just used the poor over the road after this incident). Free bus to the beach, however it can easily be walked. Entertainment, great - probably more for families but we still enjoyed this. Lunch dinner snacks and drinks all good standard for a 3* hotel. Beautiful food, always something to eat. Whilst we were there they introduced a childrens buffet for the evening meal on a separate counter (which was good for fussy adult eaters as well). A lot of the guest at this hotel are lovely and we met some great people, however, as the hotel states, a lot of them just are not house trained and treat the place like a dive, and not how they would treat their home. Loud noises at early hours in the morning by disrespectful guests playing music on their bluetooth speakers at 1am, I am up for fun but that is never fun at 1am in the morning and I am guaranteeing at least 50% of the hotel wanted to sleep by then. That is my only complaint but this is not the hotels fault. I would like to personally thank the restuarant staff for working so hard and being committed and thank the lady (Malena Ferrer) who was front of house and seemed to be head of reception, such a lovely lady to speak to and very knowledgeable about the area. Please use repellent in the evenings when sat outside, there are a few mosquitos around, I managed to only get bitten 4 times in the week so I did quite well, I get covered in the UK!. Thank you Lagotel, we hope to be back soon.More

Fab first visit

Visited Lagotel in June 16 with my friend for our 30ths. After already booking I started reading reviews and became a bit concerned. There were quite a few negative ones, however, after our stop I have to disagree with them! Just been to the Lagotel for a one week stop! Transfers were well organised and from airport to hotel was around 1hr 20mins. Rooms/bathrooms were very clean, shower was excellent. Modern TVs with channels in many languages. The only negative we has about the whole trip was the beds. They aren't a proper double, they are split twins, on camp bed bases and after a few nights our backs were feeling the strain slightly! Our balcony overlooked the pool and was fantastic. It had the sun all day and the sunset at night. If I stopped again I would ask for a pool view again for sure! Pools themselves were clean, the team tested the water frequently and kept the pools and grounds very clean too. The pool across the road at Breezers Bar was slightly quieter/less rowdy and was a salt water pool. At both pools there was access to snacks, drinks and fresh fruit throughout the day. Hotel itself is situated in a nice, quiet area. You can walk to Alcudia beach in around 15 minutes. There are also a Spar and other shops around 5 mins walk away. There is a free bus to the beach that runs every 20-30mins if you don't want to walk. The food was fantastic. We were so surprised after reading reviews and it being a 3*.... with both of us being foodies we expected it to be quite basic, however the food was really good. Well cooked, great variety at all meal times. Good selection of different meats and fish each day. Very impressed! The entertainment was very loud at night time, and is situated below the pool view balconies. We turned our telly up and blanked it out when we were in our room early, but its something to think about if you have younger children! Its not the best either but the team worked hard! Overall we had a fantastic stay here, had some great laughs and made the holiday what we wanted from it- I'd happily stop here again without question!! More

Our first holiday together.

Just got back from here at the weekend, it was mine & my boyfriends first holiday together we were All inclusive and we couldn't fault a single thing, very clean, staff couldn't do enough for you and we thought it was great that because we arrived early hours in the morning they opened the restaurant so we could get something to eat. The hotel is in a great location with minutes away from the beach/restaurants/bars. Food was lovely, different choices every night don't think we had the same thing twice during our week stay there. Entertainment team were great and fab money prizes for the bingo. It was lovely to be able to sit around the pool until half 8 at night whilst the sun was still shining, we was late down for breakfast a couple of mornings but still managed to get a sun bed at any time. We had air con in our room but our room always stayed pretty cool so we didn't need it on once. We had a lovely view onto the lake from our Balcony and couldn't here the entertainment whilst up in our room on a night time which was good, it was nice and peaceful apart from a couple of nights when we were there during the night you could here other guests arriving which wasn't a major problem. Plenty of choice for drink Non Alcoholic/Alcoholic Beverages. We only got bit a couple of times on the second to last night which is expected when you go anywhere hot. We are hoping to return again towards the end of summer. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable and relaxing and we hope to stay again very soon.More

Katie H,

Great for families, lots going on locally :)

The All Inclusive is brilliant here and it's a lovely spacious hotel with lots going on for families. It's a 10 minute walk away for the local town and beach. The old town is a 5 minute cab journey, as is the main beach town Alcudia. Great stay, would come again :)More

Fourth visit for us :-)

Myself, my husband and our 21year old daughter have just got back from another lovely weeks stay here. My husband and i have visited three times before but in the month of september but it was my daughters first visit and she loved it. The food was still as good if not better this time with plenty of choice to suit most people at every mealtime in the restaurant and there is also the outside snackbars if you wish to stay by the pools and eat. We got a room on the second floor overlooking the pools the best view weve had from any of our stays but not complaining about previous rooms, the rooms are very modern, it had a huge balcony, a lovely big walk-in power shower, fridge, flat screen tv and cleaned daily with clean towels if left on the floor to be changed by the hard working maids. Our daughter had a single room just a few doors from us which we was pleased about being her first visit. She too had a small balcony with table, chair and drying rack that looked onto a roof terrace which she didnt mind as we dont tend to sit on the balconys much and she had the use of ours if needed. Entertaintment team do a great job and although the evening entertainment wasnt as good as our last visit two years ago we still sat outside at night. The broadway show wasnt to our liking but i dare say some will have enjoyed it as there is all age groups from young to old that visit the hotel. A few days into our stay our daughters eye swelled up so we visited the local pharmacy were we bought medication for it but we was advised by the pharmacy if it didnt improve we would be better off visiting the medical centre in alcudia old town (PAC) because if we had a EHIC medical card the treatment etc would be free, she told us that hotel doctors/local hospital or any doctors in the area are classed as private so we would be required to pay the huge fees. We did end up going to the PAC next day as it had got alot worse overnight, our daughter was seen by a nurse then a female doctor and given a cortizone injection in her hip and two tablets to take whilst we was there for an allergic reaction which we think was the sun lotion. The treatment cleared the problem within a couple of days then on our last day it was my turn to visit the PAC as my eye had swelled but the doctor i saw said it was a reaction to an insect bite, my eye was fully examined along with drops put in and washed out with an eye wash then i was given a prescription for eyedrops containing antibiotic which cost me nearly 12 euros and although we paid taxi (which reception booked for us) there and back twice and my prescription charge i would strongly advise anyone visiting to make sure you apply for your EHIC card as it can save you alot of expense if you visit the PAC centre for treatment instead of using others, we was told one lady had paid approx 200 euros to hotel doctor for one injection for a bite. The service at the centre surprisingly was quick and no huge queues which we expected and the reception there booked us a taxi back to hotel too. All that said it didnt spoil our holiday as we know things can happen unexpectedly to anyone and i hope this info may be useful to others if in need of medical attention. We look forward to another visit to lagotel and even though our daughter had a few rough days due to allergic reaction shes already said she wants to return next year. Im so glad she enjoyed her first visit to a lovely hotel. More
