Plenty of sports and two big pools are the Hotel Lagotel’s main draws. Plus it’s only a five-minute shuttle bus ride from the beach.
With two outdoor pools and a lakeside setting, the Lagotel is great for anyone who likes the water. There’s plenty to do during the day, with archery, tennis and more, plus live entertainment every night.
Alcudia is less than 10 minutes’ drive away, and the free hotel shuttle bus will take you to Playa de Muro’s beach in five minutes.

There were 12 of us mostly over 60`s,the hotel is lovely, a bus takes you everyhal hour to Alcudia, food very good and quite varied, drinks were mostly serve yourself unless you wnted spirits. Our 2 bedroom roomwas facing the lake lovely big verhanda. the entertainment was ok, a game of bingo with really good payout 100 eurosfor line and 480 euro`s for house, (shame none of us won). Free wifi in reception. All in all a really nice weekend, give it a go.More
Great cheap getaway
Having read reviews beforehand I was apprehensive about the hotel, it's location and amenities. I needn't be, I think this is a great affordable holiday and ideal for families or couples on their first getaway together (as we were). The transfer was perhaps the worst bit around 2 hours long, albeit less going back. No one shows you to your room and I'd say the staff are fairly unobtrusive throughout the complex but I liked that. If you need anything they are only too willing to help but otherwise you get left alone. Our room was on the 6th floor, there are four lifts in the main block and our room was part of the apartments, the pluses are you get a kitchen with hob and microwave, fridge and dining table, a lounge, separate sink area to bathroom and 2 good size balconies. The downside is no cleaning on Wednesday Friday or Sunday. We got a pool view which was lovely at night. The beds are basic, metal frame and wooden slats but they were comfy and sturdy. We had one pillow each but asked for another without issue. The main restaurant was more than ample. We found if you went down early for breakfast it was quiet, there was a choice for everyone and I'd defy anyone to tell me otherwise. Dinner the same. We ate at the snack bar, there are 2 one next to each pool, serving burgers, hotdogs, pizza, chips, nuggets, fish fingers and pasta. It got boring towards the end of the holiday but just convenient when at the pool. I have to say the desserts became a running joke, they are very foamy and just not my style ... The chocolate covered doughnuts at breakfast were lovely though lol ... The ice cream is fab. The two pools were aimed at different audiences, across the road was the breezes pool, a lot quieter and three depths of pool suitable to young children, children and adults. The other pool was noisier. There's crazy golf, table tennis, tennis courts and a football pitch, can't comment on these as didn't use them but understood there was a surcharge for them The drinks were standard, and I liked the self serve as it saved queuing or waiting. There were always plenty, same with food and we had no issue with sun beds either. Loved the sangria, the beer was very gassy. Entertainment was A typical, there was some good bands but karaoke was awful lol, it did start late but who cares when you're on holiday?! The beach is a flat 10 minute walk but the shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes - varying at weekends, there are some lovely restaurants by the beach. We ate pizza at Leon's, had a steak at El patio (was amazing) and burger one day at a steakhouse place on the main strip. Overall I would recommend this hotel, I'm not one to go back to the same place but if I was looking for a cheap getaway I could see myself returning. One special thanks goes to the waiter who gave me a free bottle on champagne, late on Saturday 26th September, as my boyfriend proposed to me on our balcony! Thank you!More

We arrived the week after the kids had gone back to school and arrived at midday. We were checked in quickly and given an explanation of where things where and a timetable for the shuttle bus (we didn't use it so can't comment). We were in room 121 which is the first floor above the kitchens. The room was pleasant and clean, there was a balcony with furniture outside and the air con also worked, and there was a tv with a selection of international channels including UK programmes. The only complaint about the room was the beds became more uncomfortable every night and for 5 nights we had the neighbours from hell who we had to call security about, they were dealt with swiftly. The dining room was okay, however the food was repetitive which I guess has to be the case if all inclusive, that said we never went hungry. The drinks were all self service too which was a bonus as I imagine waiting for drinks to be served would have ended in a long wait. The bar area was also self service with a selection of lager, wines and spirits served from 10am to midnight, cocktails were served from 7pm to midnight. There were also a selection of fizzy drinks, tea and coffee and slush drinks for kids, it would have been nice to have some plain old cordial and water though. The pool, although a bit cold, was okay, the times we went we always ended up with sunbeds and the pool wasn't overcrowded as I imagine it would have been a few weeks prior to our visit. The snack bar however was a let down as they just served burgers, sausages and chips. There were the occasional bits of fruit but we didn't use it regularly as we ate in the main restaurant. Over the road at the salt water pool looked nice but every visit we made there were no loungers. There is also a small crazy golf site however this could do with an update as it is tired. As far as mosquitos go, I got 3 bites over the 12 days we were there but the wife ended up with about 20, take some mozzy repellent with you. We walked into the local town on occasions which took about 10 minutes and went further afield as we had hired a car. We have been to majorca 8 times now, but the first time we have stayed at this side of the island. We would return to playa de muro again however would try another hotel purely as we don't visit the same hotel twice and not as a criticism of the Lagotel. More
ok, depending on which room you get
2nd time here but we had a room in apartment block first time round. Our main complaint is the noise below our room in the evening and all through the night ! Coaches picking up and dropping off at all hours and engines left running , so don't accept a room above hotel entrance ! ours was 203. Other than that the food and drink is fine for the price, entertainment is dire and starts far too late. Oh, and if you are 5stone overweight ,shaven headed and tattoed this the place for you !More

Loved It.................Going back (hopefully) Next Year
Really don't know what people have to moan about. Food was fantastic variety of choices every day. Nothing was too much for any staff. Its clean and tidy ok yes it is looking tired in certain places and could do with a bit of TLC but all in all for a 3* hotel it is brilliant. We preferred the pool across the road from the complex to the one on site purely as we found it quieter. No trouble in finding sunbeds (maybe that would be different in the height of the season) never queued once for drinks. Great idea to be able to help yourself to lager, soft drinks, wine, hot beverages. The snacks were ok yes cheap burgers etc but again its 3* hotel. Restaurant was very clean and tidy and food was lovely not one meal did we both struggle to find anything we liked. After reading other tripadvisor reports we were apprehensive but thought we would make our own mind up which we did and we loved it. Like i say it is tired looking in places but seriously for the money you pay for the holiday it isnt anything to moan about. Go give this place a go and make your own mind up. Oh if you can afford a 'private transfer' to and from the airport then do that. To the airport we got picked up at 6am for a 10am flight and were 1 st pick up and finally left Alcudia at 7.10 after about 10/12 pick ups.More
