As the name suggests, this place is right by the beach. It’s also got a rather stylish pool.
This chic hotel is 2-minutes' from the beach and the centre of Playa del Ingles. There’s a first-rate buffet restaurant, 3 bars and all sorts of sports, from scuba diving to tennis.
The main pool is heated so it’s good for year-round swimming. And 6 nights a week, live entertainment is put on including dancing, cabaret and live shows.

OK, here are the thoughts of my wife and I about this hotel. Positives 1. The staff are very good. Having experienced extremely poor service from staff on a different Canary island previously, the staff here must be commended as they genuinely wanted to provide an excellent service to their customers. 2. Facilities were clean and services were very efficient. 3. The food and drinks were generally of a high standard, although if you want fresh orange juice (lovely!) you usually have to ask for it otherwise it will be from a bottle. 4. The location is pretty good, being a short walk to the seafront, shopping and other restaurants. Don't expect much in the way of upmarket facilities elsewhere although we did enjoy a couple of excellent meals at Novo (about 15 minutes walk away) which will be the subject of a separate review and also the Tapas Bar Too Rico (similar distance). This is a cosmopolitan area so if you are gay, lesbian or into swinging (as it happens we are not any) then you will find some accommodation here. Negatives 1. Facilities too cramped. 2. Only one restaurant which is a buffet, needs more variety. There was another restaurant within the hotel although this was closed and clearly had been for some time. 3. Insufficient sun beds unless you "reserved" them at 08:45 which seemed to happen for the vast majority of them (why would any hotel allow for them to be "reserved" if they aren't being used at the time or for a prolonged period?? 4. Insufficient seating areas within outside restaurant area. 5. Although we only had one experience, laundry was supposed to be returned within 48 hours. After 3 days we chased it and were told it would be delivered that day. Is was delivered later but was still damp. 6. Entertainment area insufficient with low ceiling height and restricted views for most people outside of bar area. 7. Pool area too small for number of guests. 8. Sometimes too noisy around pool area including compulsory fashion shows. 9. Safe facilities are available within the rooms but you need to rent them for each days use (for a 4star hotel, why?). Conclusion We felt that the value money was acceptable based upon what we paid. Would we return here? No. Would you be disappointed if you had a holiday here? Not necessarily. If you are looking for a good hotel with limited internal and external facilities for straight couples and don't expect anything too sophisticated or upmarket then you will be happy with the hotel an d area. If you are looking for something fairly up market then you may wish to consider an alternative hotel and area. More
Our second visit to this fabulous hotel, but probably our last. Faultless: Location Reception & Staff Rooms Food Pool Facilities Serious issues (In our opinion) Senior staff in the restaurant .. we are British and without a doubt were seen as second rate guests, every night them acting like meerkats looking at and chatting to anyone other than us when taking drinks orders. Smoking .. there are NON smoking tables and smoking tables with no divide so pot luck, the GERMAN guests seem to gather around the bar in the restaurant and SMOKE, the bar is in the non smoking area. It's 2016 please just stop all smoking in the restaurant!!More
10th holiday at the Seaside Sandy Beach
This was our 10th holiday at the Seaside Sandy Beach hotel. We travelled as a family of 7 adults in 3 pool view rooms on the 8th floor. On arrival we were given a glass of cava, and the porter took our suitcases to our rooms. The rooms are large with a dressing room and walk in shower. This year there was also a mattress menu in the rooms, however we found our mattresses to be very comfortable and didn't require this service. There is a kettle and cups in the room, you can request a variety of teas and coffee from reception by filling in a check list. The tv in the room has lots of English channels and sky sports 1. On our last day the tv was upgraded to a newer flat screen! The safe is 2 euros a day, payable when checking out. There is also free Wi-Fi. The staff are so wonderful and helpful, they always tried their best to find us a big table for 7. They also remembered us from our previous visits. The food is excellent as always, the evening meals were also themed, such as Chinese, Mexican, Italian etc. I was lucky that my favourite penguin cakes were available a few times over our two week holiday. The all inclusive drinks are very good. It was my sons birthday when we were there, and he was given a bottle of cava in his room, a table was decorated at dinner time for us. We also had a birthday cake and more cava which we all enjoyed, the staff even sang to him. There were plenty of sun loungers on the terrace. The pool is heated with a built in Jacuzzi. The pool bar area is very comfortable to enjoy a nice relaxing drink. There was day time entertainment for adults most days, my son and nephew participated a few times and won a t shirt. The evening entertainment was very enjoyable. Jorge Paquita duo are very good and you can dance to them most evenings. There was also lots of outside entertainment such as flamenco dancers, Elvis show, and other singers. We went out on a few trips and you can get a picnic for lunch time. Looking forward to next year and our 11th holiday at the Seaside Sandy Beach. The staff are the best ever, especially Eva, Raquel, Christian, Fatima, Ursula, to name a few. Our good friend Romana was ill this year but hopefully he will be back next year! Give the hotel a try, you will love it too! The hotel will also be a Thomson Platinum hotel in November.More
A great family hotel, good facilities including two decent size pools and a poolside bar. The spa was adults only as it was clothes free, as were a couple of the sunbathing terraces. Centrally located for the beach, nightlife and supermarkets this was an ideal base for our holiday.More

Lack of correct food labels
This is our 3rd consecutive visit and we love it here. The staff are excellent and food also! My only complaint is that the food labels seem to be inconsistent which is a problem if you have any food allergies l need a glutenfree diet and some dishes did not show what they contain especially at lunch time! We enjoyed the singer with the guitar by the pool bar. The ambience is lovely.More
