relaxing vacation with all included deal
I stayed in this hotel for 8 nights in February 2014 and the staff was very friendly and they put me in a really nice suite room with the balcony facing the street but with a beautiful view of the pool and the sea (7th floor). I had an all- inclusive deal, and it was my first time ever to get a deal like that. The food was good, some days better than others, but it has a wide selection of salads, grilled meat, sea food, and warm dishes. Breakfast was also very nice and a wide variety of breads and there were plently of fruit in every meal. The rooms are not super fancy, but everything was clean and spotless in my room. I truly enjoyed laying by the pool and enjoying the sunshine. I went there to rest and rest is what I did! :)More

Not what we expected
We went for the last week in February 2014. We normally travel to Egypt but because of the heightened terror risk, we opted to go to Gran Canaria instead. We paid £1,500 for a seven nights all-inclusive package. To put this into perspective, that was £900 more than we were quoted for Egypt. Onto my points, good and bad: Good 1. The food is above average in the restaurant and caters for a wide range of cultures. 2. The hotel in general is clean. Bad 1. Our bed sheets were changed only once in seven nights. This we knew because one of the sheets had a mark on it which was still there on day five. 2. We got stuck in a lift for fifteen minutes just going up and down. We pressed the alarm and the sign in the lift said that we'd be connected to reception. We got answered after five minutes of continual pressing but only in Spanish. When the assistance realised we did not speak Spanish, they simply hung up. We continued pressing the alarm and got further Spanish ranting. By this stage, my wife was getting distressed and when the lift momentarily stopped on floor ten, I prised the door open and we jumped out. I immediately went to reception where I was passed from one person to another who then radioed maintenance (presumably our Spanish lift assistance) who confirmed the problem. I waited at reception for another two minutes waiting for an apology but was only asked " Can I help?" by the same person to whom I'd complained. I only wanted an apology. 3. The sunbeds are crammed in to the pool area. It felt like I was laying in bed with these people, absolutely no personal space whatsoever. 4. The English TV channels did not work in our room. I mentiond this to reception, still waiting for them to be fixed. 5. The rooms do not contain irons which is sub-standard for a four star hotel. 6. If you want tea or coffee in your room, you have to request it from reception. Why? This is something you expect in a two star hotel. 7. We paid a fortune for all-inclusive, we did not get any drinks in our room, not even a single bottle of water after the first day. A final point which in not a good or bad point but one that people should be aware of is that the hotel is mainly full of elderly guests. The average age was at least sixty but that's a generous estimate. As a result, the entertainment is aimed at this market. We ended up going out four nights out the seven as a result of a wailing Spanish singing lady, absolutely horrendous. Of the few fellow guests that we did speak to, they all agreed. Maybe this was a plan by management to drive you out to save you making use of the all-inclusive bar. I know that some people will jump on this review and state that it's a great hotel. I guess you can only judge for yourself when you get there.More

We went for a week from 20th February 2014 and had a wonderful stay. The Hotel is very impressive, clean and elegant. The rooms are large and we had one with a pool view on the 4th floor. Lovely balcony, really comfortable bed, great TV with plenty of English channels. The pool was good and heated with plenty of sunbeds which can only be reserved from 9 am. The food was of the highest standard we have ever experienced in many stays around Europe. There was a huge variety, steak, fish, duck, chicken, lamb and pork. Staff were attentive and respectful and all in all this was a great experience. It says something about the hotel that many guests we talked to have been coming back for years. The walk out along the Playa Del Inglise was great too...we walked for an hour to the lighthouse and then returned. You can walk in the opposite direction along the concrete paths and that is also a good walk.the weather was good too with temperatures getting up to 26 C. We certainly will be returning here but it will be for two weeks next time.More

Not to bad
Had a great stay at the hotel, presentation overall good, price and value is good, atmosphere was good but some areas need some improvement. I travel around the whole world and stayed in many different hotels. I noticed the customer service level could be improved and the quality of the food.More
