Seaside Hotel Sandy Beach

As the name suggests, this place is right by the beach. It’s also got a rather stylish pool.

This chic hotel is 2-minutes' from the beach and the centre of Playa del Ingles. There’s a first-rate buffet restaurant, 3 bars and all sorts of sports, from scuba diving to tennis.

The main pool is heated so it’s good for year-round swimming. And 6 nights a week, live entertainment is put on including dancing, cabaret and live shows.

A lovely return!

This was our second visit having had a really great time last year. You always wonder if things would be as good as the previous visit and luckily for us it was. The staff, the service was excellent and always friendly. They did so much to make my wife's 50th birthday special, balloons decorated our room on arrival amongst all the other things for her. A great hotel in a great location. As previously mentioned the staff are first class, Raquel, Aruma and in particular Eva were fantastic. I'm already planning my third visit next year!More

Great Gran Canaria break

Stayed here for 5 nights and must say lovely clean and functional hotel but what makes the hotel great is its hard working helpful and friendly staff! I did find the smoking around the food to be one niggle but on the whole if I was going to playa del ingles again I would stay here. Food was good and fresh.More

Early Spring Break

A very warm and welcoming hotel, with excellent staff. I read the Trip Advisor comments before we departed and found only one negative comment of concern, that of room allocation - we were originally allocated room 303, no sun on the patio, overlooked by the metal staircases and poor view of the pool facilities - but a good view of the awnings over the patio eating area, if you get this room ask for relocation. We did and at the first opportunity the staff obliged. A member of the management EVA is worth a mention, just a great friendly and very professional member of the Management. Dont be put off by the reports of smoking, the hotel segregates very well and we did not encounter any problems food is good and varied with different evening themes. Plenty of sun beds and the pool bar is run by such a friendly person. Rooms are comfortable, probably a little dated, quilt covers need updating, in my opinion. Nice hotel, you shouldn't be disappointed - nice cosmopolitan clientele; Scandinavin, German, Belgian and French - plus of course Brits! Evening entertainment average or below. Don't rely on First Choice rep, support is poor.More

Colin G,

Fantastic again, 5th visit

Food always fantastic, rooms excellent (ours was recently refitted very, clique). Shower room excellent - get the idea ...... The staff have virtually remained the same over the six years we have stayed here - that tells you a lot. No problems getting a drink like in other all inclusive hotels. The beach is amazing and the prom equally good. Near to YUMBO and Cazbar. The whole area around the hotel has been improved over the last 2 years (it needed it). It is my partners favorite resort but not mine. However, it is fantastic for gay couples - we are just a normal couple here. I am not into gay culture and this hotel is free of that except in Pride week -June, but it is a short stroll to the Yumbo where you can fill your boots. I do agree with an other contributor, I do think the hotel should address the issue of seating space at peak times. This will be difficult in a limmited space. Also, we say every year that they should swap the inside bar to the end of the room so the audience can see the show in the evenings.More

Excellent food

Stayed for a week all inclusive. Room on 2nd floor overlooking quiet street and gardens. Rooms was spacious with walk in power shower and very clean. Food was by far the best we have had at an all inclusive hotel , steaks cooked to your liking, roasts etc, fish all very delicious, inc salads , desserts and lovely ice cream etc We got to know the staff and special mention to Cristabelanina who cooked our omelettes every morning, such a lovely lady also Della the waitress who was so friendly & Domingo, Santana, the waiters, just to mention a few. Welcome glass of cava on arrival was very refreshing. Good quality wine at mealtimes by the bottle or glass and spirits of a high standard plus the usual cocktails. The only downside was all inclusive bar stopped at 11 pm after which drinks were chargeable. The pool was heated so really welcome for a dip to cool off as temps were quite good whilst we were there. Through the back door and a 5 min. Walk to the beach. We could have done with a bit more info on the hotel on arrival as it took us a few days to become accustomed with the layout and never did get to visit the wellness centre or jacuzzi on top floor. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to visit again in the future .More
