Hotel Bitacora

Loading

The Hotel Bitacora is a family favourite thanks to its A-star location and pool scene. Plus, it’s only minutes away from the shops, bars and restaurants of Playa de las Americas.

The Hotel Bitacora’s main selling point is its location – the hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the beach and only a bit further from central Playa de las Americas.

Families have it made at this hotel. A new adventure playground opened its doors in 2013, and there are two pools and a buffet restaurant.

Fantastic accommodation

This hotel is one of the nicest, cleanest and enjoyable on the island of Tenerife. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, they are quick to respond to any issue you may have and will quickly go out of their way to resolve it! The hotel itself is very clean, neat and pleasant. The rooms are the most spacious I have ever stayed in, in Tenerife....(Bearing in mind I have been going for 20+ years) The linen is changed regularly and the rooms cleaned daily and to a very high standard. The location of this hotel is second to none as it is central to the beach, shopping and restaurants. The 'all-inclusive' meals are amazing, if anyone complains about the food at this hotel must have the wierdest appetite ever....they cater for everyone and the choice is fantastic, I have never seen so much availability of food. The pools (1 main/1 childrens) are thoroughly cleaned nightly and there ARE ample sunbeds for all. Regarding the 6/7 am issue, these people that continue this farce are pathetic, these people are the ones that want the beds immediately around the pool, but my family went down between 10 and 11 am and there were always loungers available....always!! I would definitely recommend this hotel to families and couples, elderly and the infirm as I was on crutches and found it very convenient for my disabilities. Will definitely be going back.More

top notch hotel , without doubt one of the best I have ever stopped in .we stopped all inclusive and it was well worth it .Regards the sunloungers we had no trouble getting one anytime of the day but it was a must for some people to have the exact same spot every day .The pool was fantastic as were all of the waiters especially mohamed who always had a smile, the entertainment team worked non stop, the beatles night was fantastic, rooms were big modern and clean.I cannot fault anything about the hotel and the whole holiday we will most certainly go back and go to hotel bita coraMore

Lovely hotel but disappointed

Stayed at Bitacora hotel from 28th August 2014 for 14 nights , a party of four aged 55 , 37 , 17 ,and 6 . Staff lovely , rooms lovely, but sooooo boring , no music round the pool , no balls or inflatables in the main pool really you have to just sit quietly . What a shame ! Spoils a holiday . Entertainment mainly consists of dance routines and fashion shows although there was a couple of outside act i would recommend ... Queen , Michael jackson , drag act , and male Brazilian dancers. The food was lovely however , i was put off it because i saw cockroaches on three different occasions in the dining room , i no that they are common in tenerife but in a dining room ? In Britain it would be closed down . The view in the first room we were given was of the apex roof of a consecratory or something and that was all you could see . And to give them credit i was move as soon as possible to a room with a view of the children's play ground , which was quite Noisy at tea time when older boys played football on the pitch . Has as already been said the card situation is a bit strange but not to bad , but what i didnt like was the signing into the dining room your only allowed to visit once per mealtime .poolbar snacks stop when dining room opens ? Whats all that about ? Sorry after reading all the good reviews on trip adisor i was really disappointed no where near as good as any Egyptian hotel ive been in not in the same league ! One final word for people with children i would watch them very carefully on the balcony , the barriers are not very high and there are plastic chairs that are easy to move if they have a mind to look over x i did mention the music to the entertainment staff and was told it was a management choice , and i did mention the dining room situation to the rep who said he would inform the hotel management .More

Great Holiday!

We visited Bitacora on the last/first week of August/September 2014. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful. Having not been on an 'all inclusive' holiday before I wash't sure what to expect. At first I thought it was great, there was a huge selection of food to choose from, basically something for everyone. There were no queues to get into the dining room, the only queue in the hotel was the one for crepes in the morning because they were made to your own specifications and were obviously very popular. However it was repetitive and although you weren't made to feel rushed I felt that I just wanted to eat my meal and get into the bar but I think this would be the same on any 'all inclusive' holiday. We have stayed in Las Americas a couple of time before in a relatives apartment, 10 years ago or so and were surprised at how much development has gone on since, it was amazing, the place was totally different. This holiday was focused around the kids and the facilities at Bitacora were second to none, there was a huge play area and you could drop them of for 2 hrs in the morning and afternoon with the 'AnimationTeam' to do various child related activities as well as organised games and competitions. The hotel facilities were also good with an adult pool, child pool and a water slide. The only drawback was having to get up at 6am to guarantee your favourite loungers by the pool. Overall a great holiday and would probably come back. An extra note all the balcony lights go out at 10 past 12 in a lll the surrounding hotels.More

Second time there

Great hotel! The animation team are always great for all ages, all such lovely people. The only complaints I could say about the hotel would be that kids should be kept in the children's pool and let adults have some space of there own in the adult pool, also on the last day for all inclusive let people be able to get water after 12pm in case they have a late flight. But overall an amazing holiday we have even booked to go back next September, so looking forward to going backMore
