great hotel, great staff, shame about the food

This was our 3rd visit to this hotel, as always I cannot fault the service from the moment we arrived, throughout our stay and during departure. The staff are really attentive and enjoy their work. The rooms are a little dated, but are cleaned daily, fresh towels provided and we had a large balcony facing the gardens (rm 217). We had twin beds and a sofa bed so more than enough space. Free TV provided with lots of channels. Safe hired at Euro 2.00 per night. Entertainment team work really hard to make you enjoy your stay, their house of horror night was good, apart from that and Dancing queen the entertainment at night was average. The AI food was not great this time round, the food was bland and only luke warm. We did speak to the rep but saw no improvement. The wine at dinner was like vinegar, however the drinks served in both bars were good measures, served timely and no one waited to long. All in all a great hotel, Predominately German guests and food catered for accordingly, I'd still recommend the hotel as it is run so well, but not the all inclusive. More

Descent hotel great location

I thought the hotel was good value for money, the rooms were very spacious we stayed in 108 on the ground floor overlooking the garden which was beautiful, a lot of previous reviews have complained about the beds being hard but we never had any problem, The rooms were cleaned on a daily basis. All the staff were friendly and the animation team worked really hard all day in trying to include the guests in various activities. I liked the fact that we were given glasses in the evenings rather than plastic. The AI drink menu was fab. and the location of the hotel was very good, the local bus stop on the roundabout to the left of the hotel was really handy for getting around the island. We went to Las Palmas for the day for just 6.50 euros each and to the airport for just 3.50 euros. The food was okay plenty of fresh fish and meat grilled while you waited, my only disappointment was the lack of seafood I never saw one prawn in the ten days we were there. All in all I would go back to this hotel again in the futureMore

Hit the spot for a great late summer holiday

Booked 1 week before we visited on First Choice AI holiday. Disregard lack of service by TUI (long gone are the days when the local courier was there and helpful) but let's concentrate on the important things, the hotel, food and general service. Disregard all negative comments previously posted.Hotel staff very helpful and totally professional, Room great (370), food plentiful and varied, AI Bar service ,all you expect. Bonus was ability to get lunch until 1530 allowing a morning on the beach. And the cafe doing coffee and cakes until 1700,(all included) Yes it is a large hotel with a small pool but lots of garden space with more than enough loungers with mattresses. Balconies face the setting sun so a drink to end the perfect day is recommended.Talking of drink the AI wine was not great but a bottle of half decent white to toast the setting sun costs less than £3 in the local supermarket. Room was kept spotless and towels changed with daily visits by Anna. Yes the clientele are predominately German, but hey if you want to be surrounded by Brits go to Benidorm. Entertainment was not the best but we met many new people so of little consequence. We will be looking to visit this hotel next year.More

Will come again for sure

Stayed in this hotel for the second time. Everything was perfect once again and we were not disappointed at all. Staff is friendly and helpful, animation team is just the best. The hotel is well located near the Dunas and the Yumbo (everything can be done by walking). Too bad we could not get two rooms one next to another as the hotel was full but next time we will call a few weeks before to book that. Food was great and various (especially the breakfast!). We stayed during the Halloween week and it was just a wonderful atmosphere! The rooms are big, clean and I would recommend a room on the pool side. Even though they are animations every night, they stop at 11pm. We will come again in this hotel for sure!More

Got what we paid for!

I took my aunt here for her 50th birthday in august. We stayed half was different every evening and there was a good variety if you were open to trying new things. They do seem to cater alot for germans but in fairness it was mostly germans there....staff were so friendly and the entertainment staff were the best ever....they really put alot of effort in every day. The hotel was close to everything and the weather was perfect.....what more could you want. Will definitely be going back.More
