Excellent hotel for the price
Very clean hotel, staff is taking care of the cleanliness every second. Delicious and varied dinners in buffet restaurant. Very good shows at the evening, every night was a different show. Hotel location is very good. Bus connection with Las Palmas, Maspalomas, Palmitos Park etc is excellent - Bus Stop is only 100 meters from hotel. Cita shopping center is 150 meters. Negative aspect is the absence of CCTV in public areas, my backpack was stolen in pool-bar. But fortunately there was nothing valuable inside. All in all I can recommend this hotel for your holidays and hope to get back there.More

Not as good as last time gutted
Stayed at the Catarina in April , Well we arrived after a long wait to transfer from the airport , waiting for others to get the coach . The arrival at the hotel was not the best there were three of us booked into 2 rooms and they couldn't be more rude at the reception, the reception manager was a complete nasty person . They could sort the rooms out for us to even be on the same floor saying we booked different rooms as in one standard and one sea view they don't have sea view in this hotel . After 2 days of trying to sort it , it wasn't going to happen , our rep even spoke to them but they said they would sort it and didn't . Well that was the first thing then it gets worse , we booked tickets with rep she did give us tickets to get in palomino park just receipts, we had to wait for her to come back next day to get tickets , we booked yellow submarine and she gave two of us 11 am time and the other one 8 am , so in all wasn't good . Hotel has gone down hill it needs a refurbish it's not in anyway a 4 star , there are broken tiles in the dinning room , holes in corridors and the ladies doors need a paint . On the good side the manager is a lovely guy and is seam around the hotel , he's a man that needs his staff to be more positive, there are a few rude staff but like he said they can't do anything about them as they have been there to long to get shot of. The food in the hotel is very good and it was good for breakfast , lunch , dinner etc . Tips pay for the wifi in your rooms it much better than sitting in reception, there isn't a lot of English in this hotel it's French German and European . The hotel is in a great location . I won't stay here again as I feel there are better hotels in the area . More

excellent stay again, BUT
just arrived home from a great stay in at this hotel, this is my second stay here and things have improved. the check in was quick and painless after what had been a long day travelling, so was nice to get the our room to clean up. the room was to be as expected, clean, fresh and tidy. the food has been improved massively, it now tastes and looks good, not like our last stay. so well done to for that. one thing I will say is, this is the first time we were asked to write comments on trip adviser by reception staff, im a great believer in, that if you don't say anything nothing will get done. the only problems we had were that we requested a high quiet room. we were given a level one floor opposite the children's play area, so noise all day as well as from the stage area most of the day, up till about 11ish at night. luckily I had ear plugs with me. NOW my biggest issue, IRON AND IRONING BOARDS, please get some in the rooms, or at least make them available to guests to use. we ended up buying a board ourselves. other than this, the staff were as good as ever. hard working and always there to answer any questions and deal with any problems. looking forward to our next visit. A good hotel near the dunes.
I come around 20 years to this hotel and I like to come back again. Big rooms with nice balconies. I find the food at the restaurant really good. I think everyone can find here at the buffet what he likes. The peoples at the reception are friendly but many times a had to fight to get the room what I want. An other minus is the poor Wi-Fi in this Hotel.More
