We had a wonderful stay at this very nice hotel. + FOOD, it was just wonderful! The location was great, a very clean hotel and wonderful staff. - Only one, but for us important - the beds! The madrass and the pillows were too hard :( More

one step away from the dunes
Excellent position immediately close to the dunes. From the hotel is possible to go anyway by foot in all the dunes and beach areas; either to Maspalomas and meloneras either to playa des ingles. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are clean and average comfortable. Service and food quality are very good. Evening entertainment are satisfactory. close to the hotel there is commercial center and shop and markets. The swimming pool area can be improved, the shadow comes a little too soon (around 4 pm)More

Now got the GranCan Blues! 4/5
Spent a week here with girl friends in our fifties and sixties and we loved it! Location - 10 mins stroll to sand dunes, 20 mins stroll to beach with restaurants etc nearby. 5 mins walk to Cita centre shops etc. 15 mins walk to Yumbo centre which has loads of gay bars, many with drag acts going on later at night. Only 3 euros by taxi. Hotel - bit dated and the elongated lay out meant a bit of a walk to get to reception and to leave hotel. Also, the pool area was a bit cramped. We went to the beach each day rather than stay by pool, but it looked as if may be a problem to find decent sunbathing space and sun beds around pool. Cleanliness - couldn't fault it! Rooms - spacious and comfortable once you got used to the hard beds! Shower a bit feeble and towels well worn, but not a massive problem. Food - absolutely no complaints! Extensive breakfast buffet, and dinner buffet was superb with loads of choice. Can't understand previous reviews which complain about the food. Took a while to find a table sometimes, but there were 5 of us and we'd often split for breakfast as not too chatty after a night of cocktails and late nights in the Yumbo! Staff - lovely, although sometimes come across as a bit abrupt. Animation team great with activities throughout the day. Reception staff very helpful. Bar service a bit slow at times. Other guests - yes, there are loads of other nationalities at this hotel, but didn't find this to be a problem at all, and definitely didn't feel overwhelmed by Germans. Again, puzzled by previous reviews - slightly ignorant people who didn't realise that many of the guests are from European countries other than Germany. If you don't like foreigners, maybe stay in England? Just an idea! All in all, we had a great time at this hotel. xxMore
I booked to rooms for one week at this hotel from December 27 and I cancelled and booked myself out of the hotel the next day. When I came to the hotel, I received a message from work that I needed to send two documents with my signing back to work. I asked at reception if they could scan my documents and send them to me by email so I could forward them. They said it was possible, but was not allowed to do so. I got to talke to the manager and she was very rude and she said that she and her staff had to think about the needs of the 800 other guests. At this time, there was no guest waiting at the reception. So I went to the hotel next door RIU hotel, it took them less than a minute to scan the document for me and sent it to me by email. Otherwise, the staff at reception was very friendly except the manager. But this hotel is far from being a four star hotel. Best regards TraustasonMore
Whoever rated this hotel as four star must have got the brown envelope! This hotel is tired and in urgent need of major works or demolition. The lifts don't work properly the pool isn't heated, everything is patched up, the food is poor the drinks are cheap & nasty. The entertainment is very poor & some of the staff are very rood! Lumps of concrete fall from the balconies, I'm surprised that Thomson use this hotel!More
