Excellent hotel overlooking the dunes. Reception staff really helpful, Food brilliant plenty of choice and good quality. Room spotless with finally a hotel which air-conditioning works so spot on. Lovely gardens with plenty of sun loungers very peaceful, if you like more action then around the pool is the area. Even has a naturist roof top area. Negatives the week went to quick. Definitely would return ðMore
Great hotel to have vacations. All the staff is very gently. All the hotel is always very clean and the food is very good, with several dishes to have a good choice. The animation team of this hotel did everything they can do to give us a pleasant stay. Thanks a lot to everybody, we really appreciate that. For sure we will be back here one day. Meanwhile we wish you all the best. Warmest regards, More
A very good all inclusive hotel. Hotel very clean, food and drinks very good, plenty of variety. Check in very efficient and friendly staff. Location very close to promenade and dunes with lovely walks. Suggestions for improvement: The gym could do with some air conditioning & some of the evening entertainment could be better. The biggest negative when we were there was the reserving of sunbeds...if you werent out around 7.30am you wouldnt get a bed by the pool!! I know this is down to the guests but maybe the hotel staff should enforce the no reserving policy to stop this. Overall we had a great week at this hotel, would definitely recommend.More
We have just returned from 2 week stay at the IFA Catarina and it was excelent , from the food, okay there were some repeating of dishes - but there was always something else different to try cant wait to be back there in January 2017 More
We have stayed in many hotels throughout the Canary Islands over the last few years and this is one we will return to. We found the location excellent, easy walk to the sand dunes, not quite as easy walking over the sand dunes to the beach but worth it. Bus stops are right by hotel and buses are cheap and easy to use. There are shops, restaurants and bars within very easy walking distance also the Cita Centre, there are various "adult" bars and clubs in the Cita Centre at night but you do not have to go there. We found the hotel very quiet at night. The staff all work extremely hard and in our experience were all friendly and helpful some of the best we have met. The food is very good and we enjoyed all the meals, you would have to be very fussy not to be able to find something to eat. Drinks were fine normal all inclusive range, the price list in the bar was confusing as some items listed as having a charge were actually all inclusive, we watched what other people were ordering and worked it out. Our room was excellent, spacious, clean and comfortable with a view over the pool and gardens to the sand dunes and sea, the beds are quite hard but we still slept well. We enjoyed the evening entertainment, the animation team do a lot of the shows in the evening and unlike a lot of hotels we have stayed in they were suitable for children, also were done so that language was not a problem, the Queen tribute act was really good. We noticed that one member of the animation team, Marco, seemed to act like a magnet towards the children, he appeared to always be happy to talk, sing or dance with his young fans. When we stayed in IFA Catarina there were not that many English, but lots of different nationalities including French, Spanish, Belgium, German, Polish, Russian and Irish, we liked it and every one else seemed to be enjoying their holidays too. Must mention the ice cream bar, it is open every afternoon and you can get lovely ice cream (two big scoops in a plastic cup), coffee, slushies and cake, we thought it was a really nice idea. We stayed for 11 nights and really enjoyed our holiday and the hotel, next time we visit Gran Canaria we will return.More
