Club Bahamas

This place gets full marks for location – with a sandy beach and the best of Playa d’en Bossa’s bars and clubs on tap.

This hotel had a makeover for 2014 – and it comes with a great postcode, too. You’re right on a sandy beach, and 10 minutes’ walk gets you to the centre of town with plenty of shops, bars, clubs and restaurants.

This place has a big pool, with a bar on the side and a kids' pool at one end. Food is taken care of at the buffet restaurant and snack bar, while relaxation comes courtesy of the spa.

Girls Holiday

We stayed at Club Bahamas from 15th to 25th July, we are both 21 years old and wanted to go to Ibiza for the clubbing but also be able to relax during the day. This is a good hotel for young people, but there are also families and children staying there too. If you are young and going for the clubbing but also want to relax in the day time, this is a perfect hotel. It is right on Bora Bora beach. It is located within 5 minutes walk of Hard Rock, Ushuaia and Space. I cannot recommend going to Ushuaia enough!! The hotel is a 10 min journey from Pacha, 15 min taxi journey from Amnesia and a 25 min taxi journey from San Antonio, where we went to the Westend and Ibiza Rocks. We bought all our tickets from the Thomson rep and she was very helpful, you can buy your tickets on the day but best to get them a day or two in advance. Getting a taxi is easy and the hotel can call them for you. The alcohol at the hotel is local imports and they put a lot of alcohol in the drinks so you can get drunk before you go out! Our rooms were really modern and were cleaned daily, we stayed in room 6122. We had a limited sea view and could see the Hard Rock Hotel from our balcony and could hear the music from Ushuaia too which was good for us when getting ready to go out! The music stops at those hotels at midnight. Our shower was awful, it didn't work properly and sometimes the wifi would cut out. When we went down to reception to ask if they could fix the problem they said there was nothing they could do. The water is also salty from the taps which isn't very pleasant! The pool is huge and clean, there is also a pool bar and the staff are very friendly. Plenty of sunbeds although you do need to wake up before 8 o'clock to reserve one. I didn't really rate the food at the hotel apart from the breakfast (not that we was awake for the breakfast most of the time) and the snack bar, which was really nice. The lunch and dinners were really repetitive. The airport transfer was around 15 minutes. If you are looking to party all night and relax during the day then this hotel is ideal for young people! We hope to return next year.More

Lovely hotel, kids loved the pools, food fantastic

We arrived at approx 11am after a nice short transfer from the airport (15 mins) but unfortunately check out is up until 12pm so we were unable to get checked into our room until 1.30pm. This was ok as there was a room we could leave our luggage and we were given our complimentary beach towels and wrist bands to utilise the A/I facilities. The snack bar opens from 10am and serves a nice variety of hot foods, fruit, salad etc. The only downside is that there are very few tables in the shade and when eating it is too hot in the sun and the waitresses won't let you move a table into the shade. The main restaurant serves an amazing selection of hot and cold food and there is so much choice! The kids especially loved the large selection of ice-cream and the chocolate fountain in the evenings. The drinks are all self service whether you want hot, cold, alcoholic or soft drinks which is much easier than being waited on. we are a family of 4 (2 A, 2 C) and there was two large single beds together and a sofa with a pull out bed for the 4th person. The rooms were spacious enough for the 4 of us and very clean. They were cleaned everyday and we received clean towels everyday too. The pool area gets very crowded and if you want a bed you have to get up early and put your towels out to save your beds which is a bit of a pain. The beach is a very short stroll through the complex and it is right there. It is very clean and the sea is clear and warm. Probably the nicest beach I have ever been to. The big downside is that it costs 10 euros per bed and per umbrella so quite costly in my opinion. The entertainment around the pool is good if you like to join into that sort of thing. The evening entertainment is mediocre. They run a mini disco for the kids 20.30-21.00 then the main entertainment comes on at 21.30. The outside entertainment area is large and comfortable and there is a bar outside and a games room for the kids. Thee is a small shop on site but BEWARE they are very rude and do not understand good customer service. On our last day we bought a snorkel and goggles for our 8yr old daughter and she went in the pool for only 5 minutes and on taking them off the plastic on the side broke. The manager of the shop refused to replace them or give us our money back, instead she superglued them, blaming my 8 yr old for being heavy handed with them!!! She was very rude ! Also beware if you go on a bus trip. The Spanish do not queue and they push into the queus to get on the bus first. You have to be quick and push back to get anywhere. The hotel is close to the airport so it is important to point out that the hotel is on the flight path so you can hear the loud planes arriving and departingbut this is not all day it is for and hours in the morning and the same again in the evening and you get used to it.More

Good Value for Money

Pretty good hotel, think it was a good price given proximity to exclusive resorts nearby, location on beach and the facilities provided. Food choice, presentation and service was excellent. By far the best of any all inclusive we have stayed at. Rooms leave a bit to be desired. Very small hardly any storage but functional. Didn't enjoy the salt water showers though. The outside bar of an evening was always lovely and atmospheric and we got talking to new people regularly there. The all inclusive aspects were not scrimped on. The bar was generous with drinks and didn't have a stupid 2 drinks per person policy like some hotels. This made for a more relaxed atmosphere. Even Mojotos were included. The outside bar is premium sprint but for 50% discount and it is cheap anyway so well worth it if you fancy a Corona or Bacardi! Swimming pool is nice and big but filthy at times. It is also salt water! The water in the pool is too warm where it is not refreshed often enough and I was generally disappointed with the pool. Similarly, every day without fail I was woken at the crack of dawn by pool attendants putting out sunbeds. This was horrible and I was fed up of it after 2 weeks. Upon arrival the reception staff were overwhelmed and therefore didn't give us a good service - we had to find out from other where amenities were and restaurant times etc. Out Thomson rep wasn't any better either really. Overall though we had a great time at this hotel and would go back!More

Amazing hotel, suitable for young people, best girly holiday so far!!!!

Me and one other friend (both of us 20 years old) decided to go to Ibiza this summer and booked with Thomson to go for one week on the 3rd of July-10th July. The Hotel was so close to the airport, and once we arrived at the hotel at around 10.30am, our room was all ready and waiting for us. It was very large indeed, situated on the bottom floor, was very clean and modern, exactly like the pictures. We did experience a few issues with the room, such as the main bedroom door not locking, and the bathroom sliding door got jammed, which meant i was stuck in the bathroom for 10 minutes (haha) luckily my friend was in the room!! But on both occasions the hotel staff came straight away and amended the problems. The bathroom did flood occasionally, but nothing too serious. The air conditioning worked very well, and all in all we were very pleased. The food in the hotel was very nice, always plenty to choose from, and we were big fans of the burgers, hot dogs and toasted sandwiches in the snack bar during the day. The drinks were also very good, mojitos were very nice! Alcohol wasn't that strong, but did its purpose after a few!! Also, just to let you know, there is a fridge in every room with one bottle of water in it, which you have to refill yourself during the week. We did the stupid mistake of not noticing this and tried boiling salty water, hoping it would taste better (it doesnt!) hahaha Staff were very nice at the hotel, always accommodating, especially the staff working at the poolside bar. The pool is salty water, which wasn't nice to begin with, but you get used to it after an hour or two! Also, showers and taps in the room are salty water, so make sure you keep your mouth closed whilst showering, haha!! The beach is so close, literally a two minute walk, you don't even have to leave the hotel, just walk past the pool, to the far end of the hotel and then you can access the beach with your room card. For the first time ever I enjoyed going to the beach and loved swimming in the sea. The hotel was full of people of different ages, young and old, couples, families and groups. We managed to make friends with several young groups of people and found it to be a great hotel for people in their twenties (wouldn't recommend coming here straight after finishing school). Ibiza is so expensive for going out, the big clubs are a minimum of 50 euros to get in, and then the drinks are around 20 euros each. We went to the bars in playa de'n bossa a few nights, the strip is tiny, nothing special, but in Bossa its all about the big clubs. We also went to san antonio one night, we got the taxi, which was expensive, around 30 euros each way, but theres a bus stop right outside the hotel, and theres a party bus especially for people wanting to go out to san antonio. All in all, we loved this hotel, this was my third time going on a party holiday. Been to Magaluf before and Malia. I Stayed in a young people's hotel last year in Malia, and much preferred this hotel. If you like to party hard during the night and chill out and eat loads during the day, then this is the hotel for you!!!!! Definitely going to come here again next year, already been to thomsons!!!More

Great Hotel....

We were recommended the Bahamas by a friend who stayed there last year at the same time as we stayed next door in the Fiesta Palm Beach. Stayed for 11 nights in a room which we asked for at booking stage, high with partial sea view, which was what we got. Rooms was very clean when we arrived and cleaned to an high standard everyday, there was a small issue with doors slamming on our landing but I think it was down to the weight of the doors and spring hinges rather than people slamming on purpose. Service at the hotel was very good, with polite bar and restaurant service from all. The food from the restaurant was very nice with plenty of choice and cooked well, although the restaurant does get very busy at times large queues can form around the show cooking part. There was an extra restaurant upstairs which you had to book and could only book twice during your stay, this was also an high standard of food but, I was amazed at how many empty tables were upstairs which could have been used to take the pressure off from the main restaurant downstairs. For me breakfast was my favourite but lunch and dinner were great too. Entertainment was the main reason I didn't give full 5 stars, it was very weak, from 10am through to finish at 10:30pm - yes 10:30pm. Everyday the animation team started with a cocktail show, yoga, water aerobics, water polo etc and darts, this happened every day same time, same music. The night time was even worse, nothing up to 8:30 then it was mini disco for the kids until 9:00 - same music every night, Act or Show was 9:30 then 10:30 NOTHING, lights went down, same cd that was played throughout the day was played for an hour and that was it, nothing for the adults or disco or anything, all in all really poor and needs looking into for next year. The hotel backs directly onto the beach which you can access through the hotel at the rear gate (room card needed to get back in) this we found excellent for pool & beach hopping all day. The only disappointment we had all holiday apart from entertainment is a strong smell of sewerage now again around our block both on landings and outside and on one occasion we smelt it though the vents/air conditioning during the night in our room, the smell was gone before I could complain to reception the following morning. This only seemed to occur around our block though (Picaso). To review, Its a great hotel with great service and great food and its in a great location next to beach and access to Ibiza Town and the strip, the only let down for us was the entertainment and a few strong smells around our block. I would definatly recommend this hotel others as the good points outweigh the bad. A Great Hotel and Holiday was had by us......More
