This place has a big pool with a bar on the side. Food is taken care of at the buffet restaurant and snack bar, while relaxation comes courtesy of the spa.

Amazing holiday!!

We are currently on holiday here and having a great time! Some people come on holiday to moan however we have come on holiday to relax and have a good time. We cannot fault the staff, they are amazing! Every single member of staff works tirelessly to make sure that you enjoy your holiday. The animation team work really hard to make sure that your holiday is fun, the cleaners work hard to make sure that the resort is clean and to the highest standards, the bar staff work hard to make sure that you are served quickly and always with a smile on their face. The food is great- we have a fussy eater (8 year old) , a vegetarian, a gluten intolerant, and a meat eater who is quite difficult to please - everyone has commented how pleased they are with the choice of food. The catering staff are great, the waiters/waitresses work hard to make sure that your table is cleared within seconds of you finishing. The pool is cleaned to high standards and the surrounding area is cleaned constantly. There is a lifeguard on duty every day and plenty of sunbeds. We are a group of 8 - four adults in their forties and two 11year olds/ two eight year olds. We have between us have stayed in many resorts but feel that this holiday has been one of the best due to the high level of customer service, good food choice, great animation team ( Daniel, Fabio, Basha) It annoys me when people come on trip advisor to moan, we do not get this level of service in the UK. You get what you pay for, so please stop moaning and enjoy your holiday and appreciate that every single member of staff is going out of their way to make your holiday great. Part of the fun is getting involved in the daytime events around the pool and participating in the evening entertainment. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will be booking again but unfortunately as of next year the hotel will become adults only. We go home in a few days and can honestly say we have had a great time - particular thanks to Daniel and Fabio for adding the fun element every day!! More

Very bad start!!

Not a Platinum Hotel

We booked the Club Bahamas as a late deal. - 10 days before departure. We travelled as a family (my wife and I and Little Fella who is 6). Ibiza had been our choice of destination as it was to be our first holiday on the Island. We chose TUI as the holiday company. We chose the Club Bahamas because of it's location rightin the beach and close to a busy resort. We trusted TUI with it's own rating of 4T Platinum, even though the official rating is 3*. We also noted that the hotel had been refurbished in the last couple of years. There was a little trepidation that the hotel was going to be 'Adults only for 2017'. The flight over was painless and getting through the airport was smooth. The hotel transfer time is about 10 mins. The resort of Playa Den Bossa is directly under the flight path to the airport. Expect to see and hear planes arriving and departing on a regular basis between around 0700-midnight. It did not bother us to be honest. All the biggest clubs and bars are a shirt walk away too. Upon arrival at the hotel, you receive a welcome drink. Check in was not the fastest. You are required (from July, 2016) to pay a visitor tax in cash on arrival. We should do the same in UK ! If you want use of a safety deposit box in your room then that is an additional €20 per week. Then there is the deposit on hotel towels at €10 per towel (you receive your towel deposit back on departure). So €70 spent and we have not even seen the room yet! You receive a coloured wrist band to denote your 'All Inclusive' status. Blue for Brits (red for kids) Green for Dutch etc The Thompson rep tells us that it is 60% English speaking occupancy at the hotel. In our experience perhaps 30%. On entering the room, it was clean and tidy. One thing though, you can refurbish as much as you like but you cannot get over the fact the room is long, thin and dated. Twin beds, a sofa bed, a flat screen TV that shows limited English speaking channels and has never worked correctly since arrival (reported to Reception but gone unfixed). There is a central divider between the sink area and the beds.This is your limited wardrobe space on both sides. The very small bathroom is through another door - shower over bath, toilet etc. The furniture, fixture and fittings are very IKEA style and the small fridge is hidden under the table with a door that is in the process of falling off. You get a small kettle, some cups with a few 'makings'. You will have to refill these yourself as ours weren't. A bit like the tiled floors in your room, hitty missy as to when they get cleaned. A bottle of red wine was left for us in the room. Note - the cups and glasses are also rarely cleaned Depends on which cleaner you get. Oh yes, and there are no sink or bath plugs! You have to ask in reception for them!! The aircon in the room is barely adequate and shows its age. The ine in the bathroom is happily rusting away. The towels are small and pretty thin. Luck of the draw if you get a decent one. Worst thing about the hotel room is that you have to wash and shower in salty water. It is not nice. They leave you a bottle of water in your fridge and this helps when cleaning teeth. I say the salty water is the worst thing but the lack of running hot water between 5.30 till 8pm is really bad too. So you are trying to wash the salt from the sea off, or the salt from the swimming pool off, with more salty water but you can't.... Not a pleasant end to the days sunbathing. The hotel is segmented into a series of blocks. We asked for a high floor and a quiet room. We ended up in the first block you come to on the second floor. The design of the hotel means you hear all the corridor noise, doors slamming , shouting etc until the early hours. We appreciate this is more to do with rowdy holidaymakers but our quiet room was between two groups of lads on either side! Not good, we complained after the second night. We were told the hotel has security on during the night, seen one person, once.... We actually asked if we could pay for a hotel upgrade. The Thompson reps tried but told us later there was no availibility elsewhere. They offered to try and swap hotel rooms but that offer was not taken up. It quitened down until last night when a new group arrived and created havoc in the corridors. Woke up this morning to find the corridor, the staircase littered with cups and covered in sand which had been thrown about everywhere.... The noise was reported to reception during the night...... The swimming pool is fine. There is a small pool next to it. Being August the availbility of sunbeds is at a premium. If you do not get up early then you will not have any. The toilets next to the pool are behind the spa table at the top of the pool. The walk to the toilets is treacherous and requires a matting to be placed there to stop people slipping and injuring themselves! A yellow sign saying 'Wet Floor' is just not good enough. There is an entertainment team on during the day and evenings. They try hard but it is not up to much either in the daytime and it is woeful at night. The sandy beach is a short walk through a locked gate. Take your own parasol or buy a large beach cover from a beach seller. They start at €35 but pay no more than €15-17. It is a €15 taxi ride into Old Ibiza Town (10-12 mins). Food there is nit cheap €15 for an average pizza but lots to see and do. Food in the hotel is by way of the main restaurant, a snack bar and an upstairs restaurant which you need to book separately for (once only during your stay). The self service restaurant is open 0630-10, 1-3pm and 6.30pm till 9.30pm and is usually heaving .... very noisy, very busy. We found it better to go later on during service. They try hard to produce some decent quality food.The snack bar is open between 10-6 and is well used. The pool bar serves drinks only. Try and find a table towards the edges of the restaurant. You can obtain water, beer, red wine, white wine and rose from do it yourself dispensers. The coffee machines are ok too. There is a wide variety of tea to choose from too. During evening time there are two bars (one outside in front of the stage and one inside in reception). You can queue and order your drinks. Again it will depend on which member of staff serves you as to what standard of service you receive. Remember, I politely ask for a couple of gin and tonics and one child's drink, there are a few members of the bar staff who practically throw the drink at you. There is a Terrace Bar area where you can obtain branded drinks from at 50% reduction in price. The upstairs restaurant (long trousers but rule often ignored) was a better ambience. The food was of a higher quality, but service was barely adequate at best.... You will often see the General Manager walking around. He is a nice man and seems to be trying very hard. In conclusion; The hotel has been refurbished but it still looks dated. A lick of paint cannot conceal it's failings. It is kept clean (generally). The majority of staff are friendly too, just the odd bar staff member with attitude. Food and drink is plentiful of a decent standard. Wi-Fi is generally poor. When I asked the Thompson (TUI) rep - How they justify it's 4T and Platinum rating? I got some well rehearsed rubbish about ' results from customer surveys being over 90%'. Well, Thompson also state that a Platinum Hotel must have consistently 4* Trip Advisor status ( or higher too). This hotel is at 3.5 on Trip Advisor - so Thompson is breaching it's own policy and still hiking prices up for the Platinum status. The Club Bahamas is a decent standard 3* hotel. It is not a Platinum standard hotel. Trust me! We came here on a late deal and would have been really, really unhappy if we had been stung paying the over inflated normal prices that it requests. Would I return here with my family or as just an adults only holiday? No, sorry I would not. Next year as an adults only hotel I predict no sleep for guests :/ I know the hotel management respond timely to most posts. That is a positive. It still needs attention.... We are here until Saturday so we are hoping for some quieter nights sleep!! If not I will be soeaking to you again... More

Best hotel ever!

I stayed at Club Bahamas for 1 week in July 2016 and I have to say it is a fantastic hotel and I will be returning next year. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The animation team are what really made the holiday so special. They provide great entertainment and games throughout the day (suitable for adults not just kids) including aqua aerobics, volleyball, yoga, darts and card games. In particular Daniel (the Head of animation team) is a lovely, friendly, funny and great all-round entertainer who makes sure to involve you in all the fun activities. The hotel gives you a glass of prosecco on arrival, they clean your room everyday, we had a welcome present (bottle of wine) and a bottle of water is left in your room everyday. The bar staff are friendly with a great sense of humour and the food caters for vegetarians and has a selection of gluten free foods. They cook fresh pizza everyday as well as a selection of various other tasty, fresh food. It is only about 15 minutes from the airport and it is a great location - near all the main clubs.
