Club Bahamas

This place gets full marks for location – with a sandy beach and the best of Playa d’en Bossa’s bars and clubs on tap.

This hotel had a makeover for 2014 – and it comes with a great postcode, too. You’re right on a sandy beach, and 10 minutes’ walk gets you to the centre of town with plenty of shops, bars, clubs and restaurants.

This place has a big pool, with a bar on the side and a kids' pool at one end. Food is taken care of at the buffet restaurant and snack bar, while relaxation comes courtesy of the spa.

Honest review

The hotel itself: It was absolutely amazing, I hope to return again! I went here on a family holiday in July 2014 and shared a room with my sister- unfortunately we had an ants nest and leaking air con in our room- but we were barely in their anyway and the staff were their to help us out. Don't let that worry you though, my parents and friends rooms were perfect! The beach is right next to the hotel which is absolutely incredible! The evening entertainment was very good- everyone could join in or you could just watch! The pool was nice and the perfect temperature. The hotel bars were amazing, the one located next to the pool was always busy but always had quick service! I liked all of the alcoholic drinks apart from the beer which upset mine and my families stomachs! The food was more or less the same every day BUT their was a wide variety to choose from e.g. pork, chicken, steak, prawns, salmon, salad bar, chips, pasta. Their is also an upstairs restaurant you need tickets for- wow - it was incredible, the steak I has covered up the whole of my plait! The Strip: The strip was a 2 minute walk from the hotel and was filled with bars where you get free shots for every drink you buy.. Bargain!! However- beware of the men who try to sell you drugs on the way down. Their are also shops and markets which come in useful! As I am a smoker, I brought a 20 pack of Marlboro at least every day which were 6 euros. Beware of: Their will be men trying to sell you tickets to go to clubs. Me and my sister brought 2 tickets to the UV paint party (biggest club in Ibiza)- we payed 60 euros each!! It seemed real until you was at the door of the club with everyone else that had been conned! We was 6 miles away from our hotel and it was dangerous! The people who try and sell you these tickets seem reliable and the 'real-deal' so be careful! 120 euros wasted! I miss how safe this hotel made me feel. I could sit next to the pool at 2am with some friends and feel so safe! Everyone in this hotel was happy and the staff were amazing people! If you choose to go here then you're making the right choice!More

would have left had it not been for the entertainment staff

Visited August 2013. Must have been prior to refurbishment. Food was lovely and lots of choice. Room was awful, dangerous and basic. However, the entertainment staff were awesome. Had it not been for Lilo and his crew, we would have come home.More

stinky rooms especially 2007

Although the hotel has been refurbished they still have a long way to go to meet platinum standards went out in august for my 14th visit to this hotel the room we were given 2007 was stinking with damp the bathroom was covered with a black fungus and we had to wait nearly 2 days for a move we then lost more time moving rooms very disappointed . Complain at hotel to rep who did not forward complaint so ask for printed copy before you leave hotel .we took photos and sent them to Thomson via our travel agents who could not believe what they were seeing after all they are promoting this hotel .was also very disapointed with the entertainment, this has always been the highlight of our holiday here and Ruth put on fabulous shows which were packed out every night she did not need outside entertainers she had a fabulous troupe .On the plus side the food has improved 100% but I agree this is not a family friendly resort anymore it is the new san antonio unfortunately.and just to finish dont hold your breath waiting for Thomson to reply to complaints I am still waiting so goodbye Playa den bossa we did love you !More

Fantastic Hotel

This hotel really is 5-star. Food was superb, everything from smoked salmon, duck a l’orange and steak. Huge range of food in the restaurant at every meal, always vegetarian options and at breakfast there was even a gluten-free selection and soya milk for anyone with lactose problems. In addition there is a snack bar serving food for when the restaurant is closed although the range here is limited. Service could not be faulted. There are several bars in the complex, one of which only serves named brand drinks which are available to guests on the all-inclusive option at half price. The others serve locally sourced alcoholic drinks. The rooms are quite spacious, 2 single beds, a 3-seater sofa, television, table and chair and are cleaned regularly. The pool was large, very clean and well maintained. At night it was lit up with colour changing lights – really pretty. The hotel gardens are well maintained and from the back of the hotel is a gate which leads to the long sandy beach just a few metres away – perfect. The staff are brilliant, from reception to restaurant to bars and even maid service they were always smiling, helpful and friendly. This is probably one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The only think we did not like about our holiday was the resort, Playa den Bossa. Although we were there in the middle of October and the hotel was open until the beginning of November most places in the resort were either closed or in the process of closing. We obviously chose the wrong resort for us as it seems to consist almost entirely of clubs, bars, discos and shops selling tacky t-shirts, clearly a Club 18-30 mentality and although we had expected to find this in Ibiza we had not realised just how extensive this was. Walked into Ibiza town for a change of scenery, lovely old buildings and a good day out. Also got the bus from there up to Santa Eulalia which is beautiful and would probably have suited us better as a resort although I am not sure we could have found a better hotel.More

two week stay

We were on our honey moon and my 50th birthday, despite my husband emailing the management asking if there was anything to make this special for our arrival, nothing happened. Our room would not be cleaned on the majority of the days until 16.00 to 16.30 for the majority of our stay despite us being up every day early, we also were not made aware of refilling tea and coffee we assumed the staff would do this. We would have coffee replaced when going to reception but this had to be repeated daily. General housekeeping was not made easy to understand and the Reps were not up to date with the hotel practices. The Reps gave no information at the meeting. They offered a theme restaurant night but this was not what we thought, and didn't go back, there were people wearing shorts and t shirts despite dress code. Good location for beach and Space.More
