Hotel Golden Coast

Don’t be fooled by this hotel’s sleepy setting – it still has plenty going on.

This hotel is in a really quiet spot, on the edge of Protaras. There’s a beach on the doorstep, and it’s a few minutes’ drive – or half an hour’s walk – to bars and restaurants.

All you need lies within the hotel’s borders. The pool is big, there’s a choice of restaurants, and the 3 bars range from quiet to lively. Entertainment-wise, there’s everything from tennis and squash to karaoke and cabaret.

Fantastic family resort

Absolute excellent holiday. The staff here were lovely, friendly, approachable and just couldn't do enough for us. Food was fantastic. Rooms were spotless. Hotel facility's were outstanding. Quiet location, but excellent bus services to bigger resorts. Kids club was superb. Our two girls aged 5 & 9 loved it. Beach was outstanding and right on our doorstep. Views were excellent. We didn't want to come home. Will defiantly be going again. Ca recommend to anyone any age. Something for everyone 😃More

Wonderful holiday - beautiful wedding venue

We stayed at this hotel from 21 October for our son's wedding. The hotel was lovely although the en-suite was a little tired and I agree with a previous reviewer about the thinness of the bedroom walls. However we had everything we needed and didn't find these two points spoiled our holiday. The staff were very friendly but professional and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was excellent and there was a very varied choice each day. The hotel and all the communal areas were very clean, it's right on the beach and towels were provided for use around the pool area. We arrived at 11.30pm on the first night and the sandwiches awaiting us in our room were a very welcome surprise. As our pick up on departure was 8.10pm we paid an extra 40 euros to keep our room and all inclusive wristbands and felt that this was well worth the extra cost. It was an absolutely beautiful setting for the wedding and everyone involved in organising this made sure the day was perfect from start to finish. The weather was lovely the week we were there, with rain only on one evening and a thunderstorm overnight. Once the clocks went back it was going dark around 5 o'clock but still lovely and warm during the day, I only felt the need for a jacket on one night. We all had a really lovely holiday and would go back again.More

Excellent stay

Stayed at this hotel 26th October, sadly the weather was not the best however I would find it very difficult to find fault with this hotel. The food is fantastic the entertainer was hillarious and the booked shows were superior to what we have ever seen in other hotels, the dance shows bar the Greek night which was poor were spell binding. The beach towels that are provided are an excellent addition. We did pay forty euros to keep our room and wristband. We arrived at 11.30pm on the sunday so we missed that entire day but our band expired at 12 noon so effectively we lost half a day but we didn't argue with the forty euro cost. All staff were wonderful apart from the girl on the bar in the evening who was sullen and never smiled one during our stay some nights drinks were practically thrown at you. She totally doesnt represent the rest of the staff at the hotel which is a shame. Dining in the evening was fabulous with soft live music or there is another area if you don't want that. Rooms are cleaned everyday which was very much appreciated. There is nothing apart from one shop outside the hotel and everything else bars and shops are a bus ride away but as we were all inclusive this was not a problem. The bus stop is right outside so we did catch the bus but only to explore. I notice one review says the walls are thin, this is true, had the next room not been French so we didn't understand them we would have heard every word they said and they weren't shouting. This did not spoil our stay however in the least. One thing I would say to the hotel, the cola is awful likewise with the lemonade it just soda water and then brown soda water, don't let yourself down on such a small thing, we aren't fooled! Don't skrimp on such a small thing when all other areas are so good. Apart from that you are doing a grand job.More

Lovely holiday

We stayed here for the 5th time in October, the hotel itself is a little tired however the service is excellent and the food very good also. It is definitely a 4 star but it deserves the 4 stars and the staff can't be faulted. Lovely pool area and general public areas and rooms both very clean. We will return again as we particularly like this hotel for our 'October break'. Great for kids with kids club and water slide. Lovely beach. More
