Hotel Golden Coast

Don’t be fooled by this hotel’s sleepy setting – it still has plenty going on.

This hotel is in a really quiet spot, on the edge of Protaras. There’s a beach on the doorstep, and it’s a few minutes’ drive – or half an hour’s walk – to bars and restaurants.

All you need lies within the hotel’s borders. The pool is big, there’s a choice of restaurants, and the 3 bars range from quiet to lively. Entertainment-wise, there’s everything from tennis and squash to karaoke and cabaret.

A fabulous and friendly hotel in an idyllic location!

We had a wonderful fortnight at the Golden Coast hotel, travelling a family-of-five, with our six-year old daughter and four-year old twins. We arrived late on a Friday evening and were greeted with friendly reception staff who presented our children with a little gift each, and had left food and a bottle of bubbly in our room as we had arrived too late for the evening meal. The hotel is in a fantastic location, set a little walk away from Paralimni, but with access to lots of shops, restaurants and beach / watersports. Our family suite was lovely and clean, with three separate beds provided for each child, cleaned every day by very friendly staff. The pool area is really clean and well-looked after, with lots of activities to get involved with for both adults and children. The animation team were really friendly, especially Timi who ran the children's activities - they could get involved in treasure hunts, pottery making, crafts, facepainting as well as lots of beach and water games. The meals were really lovely and what you would expect from a four-star hotel, with enough variety and options to keep us all happy. Waiters seated you, so there was no problem finding a table, with the really wonderful Stellios always so friendly and ensuring the dining rooms ran smoothly! On days when we ventured out of the hotel we were offered a great packed-lunch too. We will definitely return to this hotel - the staff are really wonderful and friendly, the hotel is lovely and the location is idyllic! We're already missing it, thanks to all for such a wonderful and relaxing family holiday.More

On the whole a good hotel, good food great staff. Location lends its self to all inclusive. 2 thing have disappointed us 1/ hotel had a wedding & were given less than 12 hrs notice that up 40% of the pool area would be unavailable for beds. 2/ an incident in the room next to us where a guest through all the content of their room over the balcony cause info many pounds of damage & could have seriously injured or killed somebody if they were close. Security did not handle this well at all my wife & I went to the reception to inform them they went & spoke to him & brought him to reception. To our horror he was let back to the room where he continued his rant we at that point returned to reception asking to be moved as we could not sleep (this was 2 in the morning) they let us sleep in another room for the rest of the night We felt very in easy as this man was very violent & the police should have arrested him for civil disturbance & criminal damage He remains in the hotel in the same room next to us & would appear that nothing is being done. Another niggle is the TV listings don't match the screen & one station has no sound & despite to reports to reception this still had not been fixed More

Lovely holiday

Room very clean and comfortable, food is very good , you have to wait to be seated for all meal times which is very good so your not having to walk about trying to find a table , we only ever waited 5 to 10 minutes a busy times just take a drink with you. Smart shorts for males is acceptable for dinner, always plenty of seating afterwards. Pool is nice always sunbeds available. The beach sunbeds are chargeable 2.5 euros a bed and umbrella. your 10 euros away from protarus main strip load bars ,restaurant's in a taxi your 20 euros away from ayia napa in a taxi Boat trips available minutes away from 12 to 20 euros Paragliding, jet ski, banana boats all available Overall you a lovely hotel ,staff and location There are Russians visitors who seem to waste a lot of food and are rude and impatient we were not bothered by this just makes you realise how nice the English are.More

Just fabulous

Fabulous staff, great location, clean and just great food! Choice of beach or pool. The bar staff are brilliant, kids have a fabulous time. Restaurant eager to please. Some of the reception staff have been there for many years. Which in these days is a testament to how good management are. All in all I found my whole stay fabulous. Rooms clean and tidy bathrooms great and beach towels for your use. Cannot fault it.More
