Generally pretty good
A nice week away. Hotel was pretty reasonable. Buffet food of a good standard on the whole, but felt a bit "samey" towards the end of the week. But there was always something decent to eat. Dinner on "The Terrace" one evening was very pleasant and made a nice change, with waiter service and a tasty but limited menu. Some gluten-free food available, but we let them know in advance and had to ask a couple of times what was available. Nice that cold water and ice was available out of dispensers and ice buckets without the need for queueing. No real queues at all, seemed well organised in the restaurant. Staff helpful and courteous. Room was a bit jaded, could have done with some re-grouting on the tiled floor, room was serviced 5 out of 7 days, but air-con worked fine. Try the stand up paddleboarding for â¬15 each for a 90 minute session with some teaching included available from reception and held directly opposite the hotel in the bay. A good laugh. Fairly easy to get sunloungers during the day around the main pool, no need to be up at 5am to get them! Wifi seemed to be fairly good throughout. â¬18 for the first device and â¬6 for subsequent devices for the week. Connection at a reasonable speed (not overly fast) but very very slow in the main bar on our last evening. Bus stops outside hotel on main road for Alcudia or Porto Pollenca. â¬1 / â¬1.5 or thereabouts single to either town, regular service up until 9pm ish. Evening entertainment not all that great, but typical Med hotel standards.More

Great Hotel, Brilliant Staff
Weâve just got back from a family holiday at the Club Del Sol, I wasnât bothered about going but my Mrs likes a week in the sun. This is a great hotel for a family holiday, there are a few pools and the main pool is great, it didnât seem to get too busy and this was peak-season in the middle of August, you could pretty-much always get a sun-lounger, you could probably get away without putting towels out on a morning. The other guests seemed to be mainly Brits and Irish and there was a friendly and safe atmosphere about the place. The hotel itself is a bit in the middle of nowhere, so you canât really walk to a beach, but there is a bus stop directly opposite. We got a taxi down to the nearest beach in Puerto Pollensa took 10 mins and cost 6.50; it was about 4.50 on the bus back. The beach at Puerto Pollensa is beautiful and we all enjoyed a little swim in the sea. We went all-inclusive and the food was good and the staff were totally brilliant, so friendly. If I had to moan, Iâd say the room was a bit small, we had a studio apartment and weâre used to having more space. Also, you canât really walk into town from the hotel, at least not with small children; itâs along a main road and there isnât much of a pavement. However, this is a pretty minor grumble, one night we visited another hotel (group of hotels) in nearby Alcudia, my impression was that the Club Del Sol was definitely superior to them. I think being a little bit out town is part of what makes Club Del Sol feel so safe and relaxing, thereâs not a high rise, theme pub or tacky gift shop in sight; overall an excellent venue for a child-friendly family holiday in the sun. Lovely break âºï¸
We stayed in a studio for one week mid August, was raining first day then very very hot. We are used to a suite with separate bedroom or one bed apartment, so was small for the 4 of us, but not small as far as studios go. Cleaners are fab, best ever, they came 5 times in the week , fresh towels, linen etc level of cleaning second to none. The staff on the whole are what make this place, amazing. Make you feel very welcome from the second you arrive, very swift check in (as early hours) with a packed lunch and drinks in room. Special thanks to Nico the lifeguard, he does a fantastic job, doesn't take his eyes off the pool, has a knack for knowing where all kids are and what they doing, has fun but takes his job very seriously and a lovely, lovely fella too. Like a friend when we left. The restaurant staff do not stop and wrk so hard you are never waiting for a table for min than few seconds, they turn them around so quickly. Food lovely. Everything you could want or wish for a breakfast, lunch and dinner, if you can't find something you like, there's something wrong with you. The main things we enjoyed, the pools, (always sun loungers avail no matter what time you awake naturally) they so clean and splash so fun, one pool so deep, fab for diving, the grounds are pretty and there aren't many apartment studios ratio to pool and grounds , it felt so safe , like nowhere I've been before where def felt ok for older children to run around on a night playing footy etc. bit far out, it in between resorts, (alcudia Puerto pollensa) without a car I don't know how you would do self catering . Don't bother with bus, 2 euro more for all 4, for a taxi. The Pirates adventure fab night out and only ant an hour, booked through Thomson, transfer just straight from the north and rep was fab on bus, pirate quizzes, singing etc flew by. Best show I've ever seen. Would def stay again, but with car hire . You can hire bikes there which would be fab for in n out of pollensa but our little one too young. Met lovely people, no chavs, but also no one trying to be your best mate, just really nice atmosphere, everyone chatting to everyone.More

1 week holiday. We were in the apartment block on the left immediately opposite hotel reception. Ground floor means balcony and small garden with loungers. Very comfortable. Not that modern interior and quite uncomfortable sofa beds, but best rooms in hotel in terms of space, layout, and proximity to the less crowded pools. Great food all week. Absolutely faultless. Good selection of healthy options. Kids menu is a bit chips and nuggets for my liking so they opted for junior portions of our food. Usual yobs reserving loungers during the day (was an absolute joy to see them running for their towels when it started raining at breakfast) which means access to the main pool is limited. Kids splashpool is very quiet and underused. Amazing facility. Good location 5 min bus into town where the main beach is. Great for access to Puerto Pollença and Alcudia. Staff extremely friendly, courteous and helpful on all occasions. Would recommendations resort for young families very highly and may return ourselves. More
