They’re First Aid trained, and there’ll be at least 2 of them on duty at all times. Plus there’s a strict sign-in and out system.

Where to start, we managed a week in this hotel at the end of September when the weather was on the change. Thunderstorms were frequent and vivid which suited me down to the ground. I managed to get some great photographs of the lightning from around the hotel and the surrounding area. Now to the review. The hotel was nicely set out with a nice reception area, and some great and happy staff, who managed car hire and bus timetables with no problem at all. The bars were also very efficient and very clean. Now to the food, the restaurant was of a good size and there was a good variety of food stuffs available. The only observation that i could make in regards to the restaurant were, is that it lacked atmosphere, it was very similar to other hotels that we have visited before. Some traditional Majorcan music and food would have been nice. The only suggestion that i could make is perhaps the promotion of one night through the week to give a real taste of Majorca and Majorcan hospitality. This is not a criticism because we managed to have a great time. It is a suggestion to make the stay a little more interesting. The staff were all quite happy from the general manager, restaurant manager and all the way through to the cleaners, nothing was to much trouble. They made this stay very very good.........thanks guysMore
We booked this though travel republic rather than first choice which offered the all inclusive. We opted for half board so not tied to the hotel all day and time to explore Island by car.(centauro-Ford Focus just 56 pounds a week-off airport site though so watch out for transfer times-our online receipt had wrong time despite entering flight number so left at airport at 12.30 am-with others! as company shut down for night at 10pm and had to get taxi to other side Island-not the best start-but I guess you get what you pay for!) The hotel is about 12 years old, public areas are clean and well presented and garden areas well kept. There are 3 pools-one central which is outside entertainment/buffet block-this has shallow going to about 1.8m-beware if non swimmers as no life guard! -clean pool-note salty water and not heated so in October a bit nippy despite the sun. There is another pool in separate area which is quieter although not suitable for yonger children .The splash pool is again separate behind block 3 and has some fun for younger children upto 6-8 but a bit tame for my 10 year old-to be honest it was too cold to play in for more than 1/2 hour when we visited. Breakfast was typical continental/semi English although I personally would not rate the cooked as good as say a premier Inn back home.We had dinner, buffet syle with plenty of choice, best to arrive early as we were late in season and not replenished later on, I,m not vegetarian but I would say only one suitable dish a night.Free flowing house wine/local draught beer. Entertainment was surprisingly good-there were new in house young couple who kept kids entertained during the day and mini disco at night with same format every night so the children learnt Spanish songs and moves. Beware if not all inclusive drinks rather pricy 6 euros for G+T double. Apartments consisted of main room with very basic cooking facilities/pans firm single beds and table chairs but no sofa. Separate bedroom for adults -twin. matresses really not great and odd covers but I guess more for summer. note there is absolutely no heating so beware if end of season as nippy evenings. Bathroom basic but clean and plenty hot water. Sadly our stay was marred at end by theft of wallet and electrical items from our room when packing .security is poor with minimal locks on patio door -we were at front hotel nearer road but quieter location.no CCTV! Staff all very friendly and helpful. Overall and enjoyable week. Puerto Pollenca quieter than south of island -lovely clean beech great pedallows 14 euros per hour with slides onboard-great fun. spectacular Formentor beach and lookout 1/2 hour drive away. Palma aquarium definatetly worth a visit-good deals at travel kiosk ouside palma cathedral.More

We stayed at the hotel between October 18th and November 1st, so literally left the day the hotel closed for the season. Despite this, I couldn't fault a thing. The hotel staff were friendly and always willing to help. The food was fantastic. Such variety and different every day. Pool bar was open for cold snacks and drinks when scheduled. Cleaners did what they were supposed to and we got clean towels every day. The hotel is ideally located between Alcudia and Port de Pollensa with a regular bus service allowing you to visit the local markets, shops etc. For us, personally, the holiday was made even more special by the superb First Choice staff and hotels entertainment team. The First Choice Rep, Kim, answered any queries we had and was very professional. The First Choice Kids Club Team, Georgia Porgia and Phil-I-Am kept my kids entertained so well. They loved every minute!!! The hotels entertaintainment team, Francesca and Michael, provided a superb daily entertainment program for all ages! Would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday that is still full of entertainment for the family.More

There's a few things you might want to know about this hotel... Wifi -the hotel does not offer free wifi, if you want it you have to pay 3⬠an hour, 5⬠a day or â¬15 for a week. Or there is wifi as you get into puerto pollensa, around a 15/20 minute walk. This wifi is quite slow and doesn't always work well. Beds - the bed themselves are comfortable. I'm fussy with beds and it easily met my standards. However, there are no double beds in the whole hotel, if you're after a couples holiday, this probably isn't the hotel for you. However, the hotel are quite helpful, in that they allow you to move the furniture and strap the bed legs to wedge the beds together. You will still have the dip in the middle but it's less likely to fall apart. Location - although it states that the hotel is located in Puerto pollensa (with first choice anyway), it actually is down the long stretch of road that connects alcudia and puerto pollensa and is just past the sign saying you are out of puerto pollensa. The hotel is around a 20 minute walk to the nearest shop, which is a spar. There is a beach opposite but it's small and stoney, the nice beach is in puerto pollensa. This isn't much of a problem as the hotel has 2 main pools and a kids pool, which are plenty enough. Also, it has it's own supermarket, which is quite expensive, but better than nothing if you don't want the walk. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel, with buses going to Palma, alcudia, ca'n picafort ect. buses go every 15 minutes or so into puerto pollensa so there is an alternative to the walk. Weather - this hotel and location seems better for when there will be decent weather, so best not to go out of season. We went end of September and the weather was a bit iffy. It was raining around half the time and to be honest there isn't a lot to do. We asked our rep and she was at a loss of things to do during rubbish weather as most things are down south. However, she did suggest a day shopping in Palma. Palma - if you want shopping you will most likely be advised by the rep to go to Palma for the day. When we went, we were given a bus timetable and a price and then off we went. Neither of us had been before so had no idea what to expect. We had no map and assumed the shops would be near the bus station but they arent. After wandering around for a while we found a shop which sold maps and the woman tried explaining in Spanish where we were. We don't speak any Spanish so we worked it out ourselves and eventually found a few shops and a square with restaurants. I'd advise if you go to Palma to ask you rep for a map and get her to highlight shopping centres and other important places to go as for us it was a wasted day out. One bedroom vs studio - the hotel offers 2 types of apartments, which with first choice had no price difference. If you want an apartment away from the entertainment you'll want blocks 5 and 6 which are the one bedroom apartments. However, when we went, our studio was opposite the entertainment, and although we could hear it, it wasn't too loud and didn't go on too late. The rooms were really clean, nice and spacious. Pool - there were 3 pools and we never had a problem getting a sun lounger. Also, there is a kids pool in a separate block so that wasn't a problem either. They had a good range of activities in the main pool which was nice. The pool is not heated so got a bit cold when the weather wasn't great. All inclusive - food was really nice, there was plenty of choice and lots of drinks available. I'm very fussy with food and there was only a couple of times when I'm wasn't keen on anything. Definitely enjoyed trying everything though. Overall, we probably wouldn't go back to this hotel as it was just too far out of the way for us. We had a lovely holiday though and would recommend if you're happy with everything mentioned above.More

Myself, my husband and our son who was 2 at the time stayed at club del sol last September. And from the second we walked in we where made to feel welcome by the first choice rep and also the receptionists on duty. The room was cleaned every day with fresh sheets and towels. We where situated in block 4 which was perfect for us we where right on the pool but far away enough from the night time entertainment to be able to sleep! The food was brill we didn't go to the dining room for lunch as it was just easier for us to grab a burger or a hot dog from the pool bar, we had all of our evening meals in the dining room and there was always a good choice and food was always fresh and warm. The splash pool was great although we spent most of our time around the main pool as our little one wasn't too keen on the splash pool. Daytime activities included Zumba or water aerobics and water polo or water basket there was also bowls and golf table tennis and foot ball. My husband participated in the water polo and the water basket ball every day. The animation team where fantastic. By the end of the week they where on first name terms with us Rachael and Nervadi where always around especially Nervadi who is just a big kid! Our son loved the mini disco and all the evening entertainment was fab. We have just booked to stay again in June and we can't wait to go back :) More
