Hotel San Miguel

This hillside hotel comes with a bay view and a beach on tap.

A handy lift connects to the beach, where there are pedalos and kayaks. And the pine forests and coastal paths are always at your disposal. Shops, bars and restaurants are a 5-minute walk away.

This place has an enviable setting – it looks down on San Miguel Bay, so sea views and seriously good sunsets are par for the course.

excellent hotel and location

if you like a quiet resort this is the place for you. good food friendly staff and caseys irish bar round the corner with live music every night. good bus service to Ibiza town. hope to go back in octoberMore

Very nice place in a quiet town

My boyfriend and I stayed here at the beginning of October for a week and we had a lovely time. It is very family orientated and I imagine that if you go in high season it will be quite busy as the complex is not super big. The rooms are a good size with good size balcony or terrace. My experience is that the rooms and the complex itself were kept very clean. The food was good in San Miguel Club, but if you looking for a lot of variation every day, you might be disappointed. You can make reservations for the Chinese restaurant and the buffet main restaurant in Hotel San Miguel a day in advance which is really good with a bit more choice. I think it is really good that especially if you go with kids, ice cream and snacks are included as well. They have a snackbar which is open from noon till 6 where they service chips, sandwiches, all sorts of burgers, nuggets etc. There is a tapas bar in the hotel as well, you don't need to make a reservation for that. You get pretty nice views from the bar at the hotel and the location itself is pretty good. San Miguel Club is basically right at the beach and right across the road you have some shops, restaurants and the pharmacy. From the beach you can also go for nice walks up the hill to the watch tower etc. Don't expect a bustling town:) The people at reception were friendly and helpful and you can also get your tickets for the glass boat tour and they have plenty of information about other things to do in the area. You can get a return to Ibiza town on the bus for about a fiver, which is really good if you want a day away. There is entertainment all day long if you want to take part in it. Games etc during the day and at night they have something on as well if you are into that sort of thing. If you want a bit more peace you can go up to the hotel I suppose. Taking into consideration that this is a 3 star complex and the price we have paid for it, I can say that is was definitely worth the money and we have enjoyed our time there. It's mostly what you make it anyway:)More

Natalie S,

San Miguel

My boyfriend and I visited Club San Miguel around end of October. It was a lovely break away. Food- the food was tasty however as a fussy eater I felt there could of been more variety and more veg available every evening. Comfort- I found the bed comfortable and the room we had was a good size. Cleanliness- The cleaners did a good job making sure the room and bathroom was cleaned everyday however it would of been appreciated if the floor had been swept a couple times. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great and we had a power cut which couldn't of been helped. The resort is in quite an isolated area so if the weather isn't great you are very limited on what you can do. The beach was nice and we spent a lot of time there. I would recommend it more for families rather than a romantic break as there were a lot of other families. Overall it was a good time away and enjoyable, it was a cheap all inclusive and at the end of the day you get what you pay for. I think the staff were friendly. More

Jess S,

Mixed emotions.

Overall I had a good holiday here and returned home a few days ago. I visited the beach club about 20 years ago and it was fantastic. This time around it felt a little dated and worn. All areas of the hotel were very clean and the staff were very helpful. The food seems good to start with and then gets very boring as you kind of get similar offerings every meal time. There is also a Chinese restaurant which I didn't use. My friend is Jewish and struggled with the amount of pork on offer I would also say vegetarians would have little choice and for children it seemed like nuggets and chips or pasta every night. My friend also struggled a little with the clientele as she is a bit of a snob and said it was like the Spanish holding area for Jeremy Kyle. The entertainment was very good and the small team go above and beyond to keep the guests happy. I would say if you are on a tight budget and require some sun and sangria and don't mind roughing it a little then this place is perfect. This place will always have a little place in my heart and hopefully if I visit again it will have picked up a little. More
