Fun place on the Beach that needs a few small changes.
Great spot for a family vacation. Nice pool ,nice beach area. Hotel interior in need of a hand. Bathroom fixtures were not broke but almost. Closet doors were not attached just leaning. Not a big deal but needs attn. Elevators broke down on occasion. Food in the restaurants is scary expensive, in the Bar not so bad. Staff were very good. Small things like ,no cash register at the pool bar. 15 mins waiting for change. Local area is pretty good , nice little breakfast spot across the street, kebab shop, Chinese. Only 10-15 mins to Bridgetown and St Lawrence. Taxis are salty , negotiate price before start.More

Another amazing trip in the books at Accra Hotel
First off, I would like to thank the management of the Accra Beach Hotel for making our stay such an enjoyable and magical one. My wife and I brought our 2 year old son back down to Accra and we also brought along another couple with their 1 year old daughter. Check-in was a breeze and we were greeting with ice cold rum punches. We stayed in an Oceanfront Room which was nothing less than AMAZING. The view from the room was breathtaking and we enjoyed relaxing on the wrap around balcony. The service at the bars and restaurants were top notch and the food and drinks were delicious. Our last night there, the chef cooked fish for us that we caught on a private fishing charter and it literally melted in your mouth. Sarah our water took great care of us at the CocoPatch Restaurant and made us feel at home. The kids enjoyed the pool and beach which might I add were extremely clean. This was our second stay at Accra in less than a year and we are already looking to plan another trip within the next few months. From what it seems, each time we visit, our experience gets better and better. Once again, to the Staff of Accra, THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING TRIP! -Luis Araujo and Blair Fenty DawsonMore

Accra Beach Hotel Hockey week in Barbados
This is our third time staying at the Accra Beach Hotel with Winchester Travel Hockey week in Barbados every year this is a sell out venue they bring 80 Sens fans and one Leaf fan to the Accra Hotel and we enjoy the very welcoming accommodation that the hotel has to offer. When we arrived we are greeted with Rum Punch and snacks to start off our vacation we are then given a room this year we had a very nice room overlooking the main street with a nice deck to sit on at the end of the evening we always enjoy the hospitality of this hotel as well as always having lounges to sit on with umbrellas if requested the pool is never overcrowded and the water is always very clean. The hotel also allowed Winchester Travel to bring along recording artist Brea Lawrenson she is a amazing Country singer who performed for us three nights of our stay the other bonus of this holiday is you get to cheer on your Sens at Bert's Bar great place to watch all Sens games and you should see the atmosphere when you have 60 fans cheering on our team and yes this year one Leaf fan. Thank you goes out to the hotel staff who were very accommodating and always willing to help and listen to any concerns also thank you to Winchester Travel Owen and Al for always making the trips so memorable you can find out more info at Winchester Travel.ca for future Sens invasion to Barbados. If you are considering staying at the Accra check out the mall across the street you can get anything from beakfast to ice cream and also a convenience store there are also many local restaurants close by and a very nice TIKI bar location that has live music some evenings as well as music during the daytimeMore
Definately would recommend
Stayed Dec 27-Jan 3, in 2 bedroom ocean view suite. We absolutely loved the view, plus wrap around deck was fantastic and huge!! Worth booking. Check-in: Was late, despite me phoning in our arrival time. Was suppose to be ready for 3pm. We arrived at 4pm. Got into our room at 5pm....or perhaps it was 6pm, we went to the bar for rum punch, which were yummy but strong!! Be warned!! Food: We did NOT do all-inclusive, which I highly recommend. We ate one meal at the hotel, which we enjoyed, (it was a themed night and had limbo dancing etc, so was fun and good value), but you are able to walk to great restaurants in the area. Loved having different experiences. Highly recommend: Tapas for dinner (short walk down the boardwalk, plus totally safe walking home on board walk at night), Champers for dinner (short walk down the road, fantastic food and top notch service), Naru (short walk down board walk, fantastic sushi), Oistins for Friday night Fish Fry (we ate at Moe's, which is right beside the stage to see the dancing, this is a 20 min cab ride to get there), Tiki Bar (off beach, below Champers, had drinks and lunch), Ackee Tree (had roti for lunch, short walk down the road), Chefette (across road, fast food for lunch). Otherwise Just Chillin' right across the road, for something more easy. Also convenience store and pizza place right there too. Beach: Great beach, very soft sand, beach immediately in front of resort, water warm, no rocks, no need for water shoes. On beach we rented a jet ski ($60 US for 1/2 hr), loads of fun, you can catch some pretty good air off the waves!! On beach also met a monkey, Bruce, I think his name was. For $10 US got pictures, was good fun, his owner was friendly and fun to talk to, so why not! Pool: No complaints, water could be a bit warmer (the ocean was warmer!). A little hard to get chairs (hotel was full at Christmas time), so had to do the put towels on chairs at 7am thing. But worked out well. Pool Bar: I've read people say service was slow. Just tip well, esp initially, we never had a wait, considering hotel was full. Despite hotel full, it didn't seem too busy. Excursions: Highly rec, Calabaza Catamaran Tour. Only 12 people per tour. Fantastic food, swam with turtles and snorkelled at a ship wreck. I pre-booked this tour before going. Taxi: Pre-set rates from airport to resort, you can google it, since we were 5 people, you pay 1 1/2 times rate or $51 US. Taxi's are safe, clean and drivers friendly. Just have to get used to driving on the other/wrong side!! Anyways, highly rec this hotel, in perfect location in terms of beach, restaurants and distance from airport. Enjoy!!! We sure did!!More
Terrible experience & inept staff
Inept staff: We were assigned to room 426 without being told this room is located on the 2nd floor. After a futile search we returned to the front desk and asked for a staff to accompany us to the room. Please note we did encounter staff on our return to the front desk but they were also unable to assist in saying precisely where the room was located. Horrible room: There was no water in the shower and when we called to report it we were told they would send a staff to fix the problem but no one came. There was neither an apology nor an offer to assign another room. When we finally got water in the shower it pooled at the bottom (clogged drain? is that why the water was turned off in the first place?). Rather unfortunate experience and based on this I would not recommend Accra beach hotel. We spoke with the manager but she was neither perturbed nor apologetic. Based on my experience I would suggest you stay at another hotel.More
